液晶显示用取向材料聚甲基丙烯酸肉柱酰氧基乙酯的光控取向研究 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
通过实验研究了光聚合物材料聚甲基丙烯酸肉柱酰氧基乙酯(CEMC)的光化学反应过程,以及对液晶材料LC-6701A的取向能力。通过原子力显微镜(AFM)观察了取向层表面在光化学反应前后的变化,测量了光控了以向膜液晶盒中液晶分子的预倾角及单面光控取向扭曲现列液晶显示器(TNLCD)的电光特性和时间响应特性曲线,研究了液晶分子排列取向的机理。 相似文献

讨论了液晶光阀的偏光扭曲向列性效应, 分析了液晶光阀中液晶分子在交流电场作用下重新取向后的扭曲, 测量了TB3639型液晶光阀在特定的频率连续改变外加交流电压条件下,液晶分子重新取向后的扭曲角度以及液晶光阀的电光特性。测量结果表明,在外加电压连续改变时,入射线偏振光的透射率呈现连续非线性变化,这种非线性变化可以由液晶分子的扭曲量来改变。同时液晶分子180°的扭曲使得液晶光阀具有较陡的电光特性曲线,这对于多通道矩阵寻址方式的液晶光阀而言在矩阵显示中可有更多的通道寻址线和更高的对比度。 相似文献

制备了不同单体浓度的聚合物稳定铁电液晶器件,测试了震动实验和热稳定实验前后样品的排列织构、电光特性和对比度.用原子力显微镜研究了各样品的聚合物形貌,表明在器件内部形成了沿摩擦方向延伸的聚合物网络,并且随着单体含量的增加聚合物网络更加致密.由于聚合物网络体锚定的引入,使得铁电液晶分子在外力和温度场下的运动受到限制,聚合物体锚定的增强使聚合物稳定铁电液晶的稳定性也逐渐提高.实验结果表明,单体含量为4%时,聚合物稳定铁电液晶的抗震性和热稳定性良好,电光曲线为无阈值“V”字型,对比度达150∶1. 相似文献

This study presents an integrated device that consists of a directional coupler and an electro-optic switch. The device is designed to include a nematic liquid crystal cell, comprising a grating-like electrode. Applying the appropriate voltage to the cell yields a periodically distributed refractive index. An incident polarized beam will couple to an adjacent channel if it is parallel to the channel. The coupling efficiency is controlled by applied voltage. An obliquely injected polarized beam will be reflected and refracted in the channel, and propagated along a curved path. The route of the beam can be controlled by applying the voltage. A multiport routing was achieved for voltage modulation. In addition, the distribution of refractive index is also investigated by employing conoscopic technique experimentally and numerically. 相似文献

The relaxation of a dual-frequency liquid crystal at the twist effect and the influence of the external electrical circuit
parameters on the relaxation process in the case of a large initial inclination angle (44) of the director are studied. It
is found that oscillation arising at the trailing edge of the modulator’s electro-optic response considerably increases the
time of relaxation due to the action of a high-frequency electric field. The influence of the electric field on the relaxation
time is stronger, the thinner the liquid crystal layer. It is experimentally shown that the duration of the interval between
the removal of low-frequency voltage from and the application of high-frequency voltage to the modulator affects the relaxation

随着近几年液晶显示技术在诸多领域的广泛应用和新技术的推出,人们一直致力于改善液晶器件显示性能的研究。在液晶显示器应用中,电光特性是一个很重要的参数,介绍了采用激光测量的方法获得液晶的电光特性、阈值电压及视角特性。分析了液晶分子在交流电场作用下重新取向后的扭曲特性,测试了不同电压下液晶分子的透光率和扭曲角度,结果表明:该方法是可行的,向列相液晶具有0.92 V较低阈值电压和较为陡峭的电光曲线,水平方向上在-60~+50有较好的视角特性,垂直方向上在-40~+20有较好的视角特性。该结论为偏光器件的设计与制作提供了依据。 相似文献

The polarization state of transmitted light is linked to liquid crystal(LC) molecular distribution. The dynamic behavior of a twisted nematic LC molecule is measured with a home-built 10 k Hz snapshot polarimeter. Only the transient molecule rotations are observed when the external voltage changes, and the molecules return to their original orientations quickly even when high voltage is applied. Our observations cannot be attributed to the traditional electro-optic effect. The invalidation of the static external field indicates the shielding effect of redistributing impurity ions in an LC cell. 相似文献

基于内置电光晶体的Mach-Zehnder干涉仪,利用Mach-Zehnder干涉仪双光束干涉原理和晶体的线性电光效应,提出了一种新的能有效提高啁啾脉冲信噪比的扫描滤波方法。定量分析了其扫描滤波谱特性,探讨了预脉冲噪声延时对信噪比提升效果的影响,并讨论了电光晶体的电压控制参数对信噪比提升效果的影响。研究结果表明:预脉冲噪声的延时和控制电压的变化会对滤波效果产生较大影响,利用该扫描滤波方法可将啁啾脉冲激光信噪比提升约2个量级,且信号光透过率高达95%以上。 相似文献

The electro-optic effect in hybrid structures based on subwavelength metallic nanogratings in contact with a layer of a nematic liquid crystal has been experimentally studied. Metallic gratings are fabricated in the form of interdigitated electrodes, which makes it possible to use them not only as optical elements but also for the production of an electric field in a thin surface region of the layer of the liquid crystal. It has been shown that, owing to the electric-field-induced reorientation of molecules of the liquid crystal near the surface of the grating, it is possible to significantly control the spectral features of the transmission of light, which are caused by the excitation of surface plasmons. The electro-optic effect is superfast for liquid crystal devices because a change in the optical properties of the system requires the reorientation of molecules only in a very thin surface layer of the liquid crystal. 相似文献
