We prove that, as Gerstenhaber algebras, the Hochschild cohomology ring of the tensor product of two algebras is isomorphic to the tensor product of the respective Hochschild cohomology rings of these two algebras, when at least one of them is finite dimensional. In case of finite dimensional symmetric algebras, this isomorphism is an isomorphism of Batalin–Vilkovisky algebras. As an application, we explain by examples how to compute the Batalin–Vilkovisky structure, in particular, the Gerstenhaber Lie bracket, over the Hochschild cohomology ring of the group algebra of a finite abelian group.  相似文献

Quantum Drinfeld Hecke algebras are generalizations of Drinfeld Hecke algebras in which polynomial rings are replaced by quantum polynomial rings. We identify these algebras as deformations of skew group algebras, giving an explicit connection to Hochschild cohomology. We compute the relevant part of Hochschild cohomology for actions of many reflection groups, and we exploit computations from Naidu et al. (Proc Am Math Soc 139:1553–1567, 2011) for diagonal actions. By combining our work with recent results of Levandovskyy and Shepler (Can J Math 66:874–901, 2014) we produce examples of quantum Drinfeld Hecke algebras. These algebras generalize the braided Cherednik algebras of Bazlov and Berenstein (Selecta Math 14(3–4):325–372, 2009).  相似文献

Following a construction of Stanley we consider toric face rings associated to rational pointed fans. This class of rings is a common generalization of the concepts of Stanley-Reisner and affine monoid algebras. The main goal of this article is to unify parts of the theories of Stanley-Reisner and affine monoid algebras. We consider (non-pure) shellable fan’s and the Cohen-Macaulay property. Moreover, we study the local cohomology, the canonical module and the Gorenstein property of a toric face ring.  相似文献

Up to derived equivalence, the representation-finite self-injective algebras of class A n are divided into the wreath-like algebras (containing all Brauer tree algebras) and the Möbius algebras. In Part I (Forum Math. 11 (1999), 177–201), the ring structure of Hochschild cohomology of wreath-like algebras was determined, the key observation being that kernels in a minimal bimodule resolution of the algebras are twisted bimodules. In this paper we prove that also for Möbius algebras certain kernels in a minimal bimodule resolution carry the structure of a twisted bimodule. As an application we obtain detailed information on subrings of the Hochschild cohomology rings of Möbius algebras.  相似文献

The authors first construct an explicit minimal projective bimodule resolution(P, δ) of the Temperley-Lieb algebra A, and then apply it to calculate the Hochschild cohomology groups and the cup product of the Hochschild cohomology ring of A based on a comultiplicative map Δ:P → PAP. As a consequence, the authors determine the multiplicative structure of Hochschild cohomology rings of both Temperley-Lieb algebras and representation-finite q-Schur algebras under the cup product by giving an explicit presentation by generators and relations.  相似文献

We use a construction due to Fontaine to construct rings with almost vanishing local cohomology from rings of mixed characteristic and discuss the question of using this method to construct almost Cohen–Macaulay algebras over the original ring. We also show that the existence of almost Cohen–Macaulay algebras implies the Monomial Conjecture and give an example to show how this procedure can be carried out in a nontrivial case.  相似文献

We study three different (co)homology theories for a family of pullbacks of algebras that we call oriented. We obtain a Mayer Vietoris long exact sequence of Hochschild and cyclic homology and cohomology groups for these algebras. We give examples showing that our sequence for Hochschild cohomology groups is different from the known ones. In case the algebras are given by quiver and relations, and that the simplicial homology and cohomology groups are defined, we obtain a similar result in a slightly wider context. Finally, we also study the fundamental groups of the bound quivers involved in the pullbacks.  相似文献

In [1], the second de Rham cohomology groups of nilpotent orbits in all the complex simple Lie algebras are described. In this paper we consider non-compact non-complex exceptional Lie algebras, and compute the dimensions of the second cohomology groups for most of the nilpotent orbits. For the rest of cases of nilpotent orbits, which are not covered in the above computations, we obtain upper bounds for the dimensions of the second cohomology groups.  相似文献

We show that the graded Chow rings of two birational irreducible symplectic varieties are isomorphic. This lifts a result known for the cohomology algebras to the level of Chow rings, despite the non-injectivity the cycle class map. The minimal projective bimodule resolution is constructed for algebras in a family of self-injective algebras of finite representation type with tree class Dn. Using this resolution, we calculate the dimensions of the Hochschild cohomology groups for the algebras under consideration. The described resolution is periodic, and thus the Hochschild cohomology of these algebras is periodic as well. Hom-Lie algebras were introduced by J. Hartwig, D. Larsson, and S. Silvestrov as a generalized Lie algebra. When studying the homology and cohomology theory of Hom-Lie algebras, the authors find that the low-dimensional cohomology theory of Hom-Lie algebras is not well studied because of the Hom-Jacobi identity. In this paper, the authors compute the first and second cohomology groups of the q-deformed Heisenberg-Virasoro algebra of Hom-type, which will be useful to build the low-dimensional cohomology theory of Hom-Lie algebras.  相似文献

The minimal projective bimodule resolutions of the exterior algebras are explicitly constructed. They are applied to calculate the Hochschild (co)homology of the exterior algebras. Thus the cyclic homology of the exterior algebras can be calculated in case the underlying field is of characteristic zero.
