The micro‐focusing performance for hard X‐rays of a fixed‐geometry elliptical Kirkpatrick–Baez (K–B) mirrors assembly fabricated, tested and finally implemented at the micro‐probe beamline 8‐BM of the Advanced Photon Source is reported. Testing of the K–B mirror system was performed at the optics and detector test beamline 1‐BM. K–B mirrors of length 80 mm and 60 mm were fabricated by profile coating with Pt metal to produce focal lengths of 250 mm and 155 mm for 3 mrad incident angle. For the critical angle of Pt, a broad bandwidth of energies up to 20 keV applies. The classical K–B sequential mirror geometry was used, and mirrors were mounted on micro‐translation stages. The beam intensity profiles were measured by differentiating the curves of intensity data measured using a wire‐scanning method. A beam size of 1.3 µm (V) and 1.2 µm (H) was measured with monochromatic X‐rays of 18 keV at 1‐BM. After installation at 8‐BM the measured focus met the design requirements. In this paper the fabrication and metrology of the K–B mirrors are reported, as well as the focusing performances of the full mirrors‐plus‐mount set‐up at both beamlines.  相似文献

The quasi-optical mode converter for a frequency step-tunable gyrotron which consists of a dimpled-wall antenna (Denisov-type launcher) and a beam-forming mirror system has been optimized for 9 modes from TE17,6 at 105 GHz to TE23,8 at 143 GHz. The first mirror is a large quasi-elliptical focusing one; the second and third are phase-correcting mirrors with a non-quadratic shape of the surface. The results of calculations show that for these modes the Denisov-type launcher has a well-focused beam with low diffraction losses, and the radiation pattern presents an almost identical field shape for all modes considered. A multi-mode optimization of the phase-correcting mirrors with two different methods has been tested. The simulations show that the phase-correcting mirrors can be used for broadband operation in the frequency range from 105 GHz up to 143 GHz in the various design modes. This quasi-optical mode converter can achieve efficiencies of 94%-98% for converting the rotating high-order cylindrical cavity modes into the usable fundamental Gaussian mode.  相似文献

激光诱导击穿光谱(LIBS)技术具有非接触测量、无需样品预处理以及快速多元素同时分析等特点,适合于高温、高压、真空、有毒以及敌对环境等仪器和操作人员无法靠近观测对象的应用中。LIBS技术结合望远镜系统可以实现物质成分的远距离检测与分析。搭建了一套可自动聚焦的LIBS远程测量系统。该系统中的望远镜采用Schwarzschild结构,由一块凹球面反射镜和一块凸球面反射镜组成。两块球面反射镜共轴安装。其中凸面反射镜安装在电控精密平移台上,电动平移台可带动凸面反射镜沿光轴移动。通过调整凸面反射镜的位置,改变凸面反射镜和凹面反射镜的间距,进而改变系统的焦距,实现对不同距离的样品进行光谱测量。该结构的优点在于:激光聚焦光路与信号光采集光路相同,便于安装和调试;望远镜系统采用全反射式光路,适用于紫外波段检测;只包括两个球面反射镜,结构紧凑,元件容易加工。望远镜系统调焦距离为1.5~3.6 m,聚焦光斑直径约为0.5~1.0 mm。使用该系统对铜样品进行了LIBS实验,确认了Cu元素的特征谱线。通过测量Cu元素的LIBS特征谱线(Cu Ⅰ 223.01 nm, Cu Ⅰ 224.43 nm)峰面积和反射镜间距之间关系,得到了激光的最优聚焦位置。实验结果表明,该系统能够完成样品的远程激发和LIBS光谱测量,并能够对不同距离的样品进行自动聚焦。  相似文献

A video camera system for observing a sample from the direction of an incident soft X‐ray beam has been developed. The sample is seen via two reflecting mirrors. The first mirror, which has a hole to allow the soft X‐ray beam to pass through, is set on the beam axis in a vacuum. The second mirror is used to cancel out the mirror inversion of the image. This camera system is used for efficient positioning of samples in a soft X‐ray beam.  相似文献

We have constructed an extremely precise optical system for hard-x-ray nanofocusing in a synchrotron radiation beamline. Precision multilayer mirrors were fabricated, tested, and employed as Kirkpatrick-Baez mirrors with a novel phase error compensator. In the phase compensator, an at-wavelength wavefront error sensing method based on x-ray interferometry and an in situ phase compensator mirror, which adaptively deforms with nanometer precision, were developed to satisfy the Rayleigh criterion to achieve diffraction-limited focusing in a single-nanometer range. The performance of the optics was tested at BL29XUL of SPring-8 and was confirmed to realize a spot size of approximately 7 nm.  相似文献

反射镜是同步辐射光束线中应用广泛的光学元件之一,双压电片反射镜由于具有结构简单、面形能动以及自适应可调等优点,逐渐引起同步辐射界的重视.本文综述了同步辐射中双压电片反射镜的研究现状.主要讨论了双压电片反射镜的工作原理和研究概况,包括在几个大型同步辐射装置中的结构特点、制备技术及面形校正结果等;简要介绍了双压电片反射镜面形校正时所采用的反射波前探测技术和反馈控制算法;最后总结了其发展中存在的关键问题,并展望了其未来的发展方向.  相似文献

给出了一种考虑光源的强度分布后用两个变形镜头实现场共轭的算法,并对高斯光束进行了数值模拟,结果表明这种算法是有效的。变形镜平滑的表面可以剔除相位局部跳变,明显改善光强分布。对高斯光束,发射面相位面形状十分简单,易于用变形镜构造。本文还讨论了两变形镜之间距离的影响,最后指出如何改进现有算法。  相似文献

通过对波束波导馈电卡塞格仑天线工作原理的分析,论述了波束波导在高功率微波辐射天线中的应用及设计方法,重点介绍了一套利用波束波导馈电高功率微波辐射天线。该天线利用由三面反射镜组成的波束波导对一个由两个抛物面镜组成的双反射面天线进行馈电,实现了波束的快速扫描。该天线工作在X波段时,功率容量大于1GW,天线增益大于50dB。  相似文献

相干半导体激光列阵体积小、重量轻,输出能量密度高,非常适于用作对光源尺寸要求苛刻的航天激光光源。为避免随航天器在轨运行的半导体列阵经受变化梯度剧烈的恒星、行星、空间低温热沉的交替加热和冷却的影响,以便能够正常工作,采用潜望式结构设计,将列阵置于舱内,列阵向航天器外输出激光必须经由舱外输出反射镜完成。然而,舱外输出反射镜受周围热环境影响和列阵输出激光束照射,会产生随机热变形,导致输出舱外的激光能量发散;并且,舱外输出反射镜面热变形导致镜面法向偏转,使得输出光束产生较大的指向偏转误差,这极大地降低了能够作用于目标之上的激光束的能量密度,严重恶化输出舱外的光束质量。通过理论推导结合ANSYS有限元分析软件和相关实验,在研究清楚相干半导体激光列阵作为航天激光源的构造、其光场与周围热环境共同作用于舱外输出反射镜的规律与特点后,给出了航天预失真半导体激光列阵激光源技术,通过回波法适时测量舱外输出反射镜引起的波前畸变,处理器配合D/A和高压放大器,驱动驱动器,使舱内添加的反射镜预失真成形,适时使列阵输出产生预失真波前畸变,以抵消舱外输出反射镜的热变形对输出舱外的激光束的影响。相关系统运行实验结果显示,此技术使半导体激光列阵能够适应宇航环境,向舱外输出保障质量的激光束。  相似文献

This paper describes fabrication methods used to demonstrate the advantages of nested or Montel optics for micro/nanofocusing of synchrotron X-ray beams. A standard Kirkpatrick-Baez (KB) mirror system uses two separated elliptical mirrors at glancing angles to the X-ray beam and sequentially arranged at 90° to each other to focus X-rays successively in the vertical and horizontal directions. A nested KB mirror system has the two mirrors positioned perpendicular and side-by-side to each other. Compared to a standard KB mirror system, Montel optics can focus a larger divergence and the mirrors can have a shorter focal length. As a result, nested mirrors can be fabricated with improved demagnification factor and ultimately smaller focal spot, than with a standard KB arrangement. The nested system is also more compact with an increased working distance, and is more stable, with reduced complexity of mirror stages. However, although Montel optics is commercially available for laboratory X-ray sources, due to technical difficulties they have not been used to microfocus synchrotron radiation X-rays, where ultra-precise mirror surfaces are essential. The main challenge in adapting nested optics for synchrotron microfocusing is to fabricate mirrors with a precise elliptical surface profile at the very edge where the two mirrors meet and where X-rays scatter. For example, in our application to achieve a sub-micron focus with high efficiency, a surface figure root-mean-square (rms) error on the order of 1 nm is required in the useable area along the X-ray footprint with a ∼0.1 mm-diameter cross section. In this paper we describe promising ways to fabricate precise nested KB mirrors using our profile coating technique and inexpensive flat Si substrates.  相似文献

为了获得高功率激光束,提出利用双色镜对典型波长2种不同类型(脉冲、连续)的高能激光进行合束,以实现高功率高能量激光输出。通过对双色镜的热效应和合束光斑远场激光参数进行仿真分析计算,热效应仿真结果表明,在单束激光10 kW、光斑直径15 mm条件下,双色镜面型热形变量均方根值为0.004λ(λ=632.8 nm),满足光学元件面型小于0.03λ精度要求。搭建了一套基于双色镜的光谱合束系统,并分别进行了高功率连续激光与高功率连续激光、高功率连续激光与高能量脉冲激光的合束试验,合束效率高于95%。试验结果表明,光谱合束可有效应用于高能激光领域。  相似文献

This paper reports on a nanosecond dye laser with a folded mirror beam expansion system, the output beam of which is astigmatically corrected. The overall length of the resonator is not more than 264 mm for a 50-fold meridional beam expansion. For a half-width of 5.3 ns of the nitrogen-laser pumping pulse, a bandwidth of 7 pm is achieved for a dye-laser power output of appr. 10 kW. Systems with a 30-fold or 40-fold expansion have a correspondingly larger bandwith. The investigations show that dye lasers of short constructional lengths with an internal, astigmatically corrected, low-loss mirror beam expansion system with spherical mirrors are technically realizable.  相似文献

A novel route for fabrication of compact optical system for X-rays is presented. It is based on the extensive use of tools developed for microelectronics and micromechanics: electron beam lithography, optical lithography and X-ray lithography. Virtually any shape can be obtained in order to match the system to the different needs. In this paper, we concentrate the attention on focusing system made by nested mirrors. A system for synchrotron radiation source and one for laboratory source have been designed and simulated by a ray-tracing code developed ad hoc. The main parameters and the fabrication tolerance errors have been evaluated. The first prototypes have been produced following different fabrication routes. They are presented here together with considerations for future developments.  相似文献

The adjustment effort required for the alignment of laser resonators with arbitrarily shaped end mirrors can be significantly reduced by folding the resonator path half-way between the two end mirrors and by slightly tilting the resonator axis. Thus the resulting resonator consists only of one diffractive mirror and a plane mirror, and the separate alignment of both diffractive end mirrors with respect to each other can be avoided. This principle is demonstrated by a Nd:YAG laser with super-Gaussian output beam. Furthermore, it is shown theoretically that the influence of phase quantization effects on the beam quality can be strongly reduced as a consequence of the tilted resonator axis.  相似文献

We present and characterize a very efficient optical device that employs the plasma mirror technique to increase the contrast of high-power laser systems. Contrast improvements higher than 10(4) with 50% transmission are shown to be routinely achieved on a typical 10 TW laser system when the pulse is reflected on two consecutive plasma mirrors. Used at the end of the laser system, this double plasma mirror preserves the spatial profile of the initial beam, is unaffected by shot-to-shot fluctuations, and is suitable for most high peak power laser systems. We use the generation of high-order harmonics as an effective test for the contrast improvement produced by the double plasma mirrors.  相似文献

A new type of x‐ray optical device with two curved mirrors was tested experimentally for total reflection x‐ray fluorescence (TXRF). When focusing optics are used to increase the primary beam intensity at the sample position of TXRF spectrometers, it is always associated with an increase in the angular divergence, which is tolerable to only a limited extent. The possibility of improving the divergence by means of an additional curved mirror was reported in the past. One may hope that this additional mirror will correct some of the adverse characteristics of conventional x‐ray sources, such as the angular divergence and the intensity at the sample position.
