We investigate semiparametric estimation of regression coefficients through generalized estimating equations with single-index models when some covariates are missing at random. Existing popular semiparametric estimators may run into difficulties when some selection probabilities are small or the dimension of the covariates is not low. We propose a new simple parameter estimator using a kernel-assisted estimator for the augmentation by a single-index model without using the inverse of selection probabilities. We show that under certain conditions the proposed estimator is as efficient as the existing methods based on standard kernel smoothing, which are often practically infeasible in the case of multiple covariates. A simulation study and a real data example are presented to illustrate the proposed method. The numerical results show that the proposed estimator avoids some numerical issues caused by estimated small selection probabilities that are needed in other estimators.

本文给出了响应变量随机右删失情况下线性模型的FIC (focused information criterion) 模型选择方法和光滑FIC 模型平均估计方法, 证明了兴趣参数的FIC 模型选择估计和光滑FIC 模型平均估计的渐近正态性, 通过随机模拟研究了估计的有限样本性质, 模拟结果显示, 从均方误差和一定置信水平置信区间的经验覆盖概率看, 兴趣参数的光滑FIC 模型平均估计均优于FIC, AIC (Akaikeinformation criterion) 和BIC (Bayesian information citerion) 等模型选择估计; 而FIC 模型选择估计与AIC 和BIC 等模型选择估计相比, 也表现出了一定的优越性. 通过分析原发性胆汁性肝硬化数据集, 说明了本文方法在实际问题中的应用.  相似文献

The asymptotic distribution for the local linear estimator in nonparametric regression models is established under a general parametric error covariance with dependent and heterogeneously distributed regressors. A two-step estimation procedure that incorporates the parametric information in the error covariance matrix is proposed. Sufficient conditions for its asymptotic normality are given and its efficiency relative to the local linear estimator is established. We give examples of how our results are useful in some recently studied regression models. A Monte Carlo study confirms the asymptotic theory predictions and compares our estimator with some recently proposed alternative estimation procedures.  相似文献

We propose a kernel estimator for the spot volatility of a semi-martingale at a given time point by using high frequency data, where the underlying process accommodates a jump part of infinite variation. The estimator is based on the representation of the characteristic function of Lévy processes. The consistency of the proposed estimator is established under some mild assumptions. By assuming that the jump part of the underlying process behaves like a symmetric stable Lévy process around 0, we establish the asymptotic normality of the proposed estimator. In particular, with a specific kernel function, the estimator is variance efficient. We conduct Monte Carlo simulation studies to assess our theoretical results and compare our estimator with existing ones.  相似文献

In this paper, we propose a stochastic restricted s–K estimator in the linear model with additional stochastic linear restrictions by combining the ordinary mixed estimator(OME) with the s–K estimator. It is shown that the proposed estimator is superior to the OME and the s–K estimator under the mean squared error matrix criterion under some conditions. Finally, a numerical example and a Monte Carlo simulation study are given to verify the theoretical results.  相似文献

In this paper, we prove some limit theorems for the Fourier estimator of multivariate volatility proposed by Malliavin and Mancino (2002, 2009) [14] and [15]. In a general framework of discrete time observations we establish the convergence of the estimator and some associated central limit theorems with explicit asymptotic variance. In particular, our results show that this estimator is consistent for synchronous data, but possibly biased for non-synchronous observations. Moreover, from our general central limit theorem, we deduce that the estimator can be efficient in the case of a synchronous regular sampling. In the non-synchronous sampling case, the expression of the asymptotic variance is in general less tractable. We study this case more precisely through the example of an alternate sampling.  相似文献

This paper introduces a multivariate density estimator for truncated and censored data with special emphasis on extreme values based on survival analysis. A local constant density estimator is considered. We extend this estimator by means of tail flattening transformation, dimension reducing prior knowledge and a combination of both. The asymptotic theory is derived for the proposed estimators. It shows that the extensions might improve the performance of the density estimator when the transformation and the prior knowledge is not too far away from the true distribution. A simulation study shows that the density estimator based on tail flattening transformation and prior knowledge substantially outperforms the one without prior knowledge, and therefore confirms the asymptotic results. The proposed estimators are illustrated and compared in a data study of fire insurance claims.  相似文献

We construct and investigate a consistent kernel-type nonparametric estimator of the intensity function of a cyclic Poisson process in the presence of linear trend. It is assumed that only a single realization of the Poisson process is observed in a bounded window. We prove that the proposed estimator is consistent when the size of the window indefinitely expands. The asymptotic bias, variance, and the mean-squared error of the proposed estimator are also computed. A simulation study shows that the first order asymptotic approximations to the bias and variance of the estimator are not accurate enough. Second order terms for bias and variance were derived in order to be able to predict the numerical results in the simulation. Bias reduction of our estimator is also proposed.  相似文献

We consider some (anisotropic and piecewise constant) diffusion problems in domains of R2, approximated by a discontinuous Galerkin method with polynomials of any fixed degree. We propose an a posteriori error estimator based on gradient recovery by averaging. It is shown that this estimator gives rise to an upper bound where the constant is one up to some additional terms that guarantee reliability. The lower bound is also established. Moreover these additional terms are negligible when the recovered gradient is superconvergent. The reliability and efficiency of the proposed estimator is confirmed by some numerical tests.  相似文献

This paper proposes some estimators for the population mean by adapting the estimator in Singh et al. (2008) [5] to the ratio estimators presented in Kadilar and Cingi 2006 [2]. We obtain mean square error (MSE) equation for all proposed estimators, and show that all proposed estimators are always more efficient than ratio estimator in Naik and Gupta (1996) [3], and Singh et al. (2008) [5]. The results have been illustrated numerically by taking some empirical population considered in the literature.  相似文献

Finite mixture regression (FMR) models are frequently used in statistical modeling, often with many covariates with low significance. Variable selection techniques can be employed to identify the covariates with little influence on the response. The problem of variable selection in FMR models is studied here. Penalized likelihood-based approaches are sensitive to data contamination, and their efficiency may be significantly reduced when the model is slightly misspecified. We propose a new robust variable selection procedure for FMR models. The proposed method is based on minimum-distance techniques, which seem to have some automatic robustness to model misspecification. We show that the proposed estimator has the variable selection consistency and oracle property. The finite-sample breakdown point of the estimator is established to demonstrate its robustness. We examine small-sample and robustness properties of the estimator using a Monte Carlo study. We also analyze a real data set.  相似文献

We extend the instrumental variable method for the mean regression models to linear quantile regression models with errors-in-variables. The proposed estimator is consistent and asymptotically normally distributed under some fairly general conditions. Moreover, this approach is practical and easy to implement. Simulation studies show that the finite sample performance of the estimator is satisfactory. The method is applied to a real data study of education and wages.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the a posteriori error estimator of SDG method for variable coefficients time-harmonic Maxwell's equations. We propose two a posteriori error estimators, one is the recovery-type estimator, and the other is the residual-type estimator. We first propose the curl-recovery method for the staggered discontinuous Galerkin method (SDGM), and based on the super-convergence result of the postprocessed solution, an asymptotically exact error estimator is constructed. The residual-type a posteriori error estimator is also proposed, and it's reliability and effectiveness are proved for variable coefficients time-harmonic Maxwell's equations. The efficiency and robustness of the proposed estimators is demonstrated by the numerical experiments.  相似文献

Partially linear model is a class of commonly used semiparametric models, this paper focus on variable selection and parameter estimation for partially linear models via adaptive LASSO method. Firstly, based on profile least squares and adaptive LASSO method, the adaptive LASSO estimator for partially linear models are constructed, and the selections of penalty parameter and bandwidth are discussed. Under some regular conditions, the consistency and asymptotic normality for the estimator are investigated, and it is proved that the adaptive LASSO estimator has the oracle properties. The proposed method can be easily implemented. Finally a Monte Carlo simulation study is conducted to assess the finite sample performance of the proposed variable selection procedure, results show the adaptive LASSO estimator behaves well.  相似文献

In this paper, we develop a fully nonparametric approach for the estimation of the cumulative incidence function with Missing At Random right-censored competing risks data. We obtain results on the pointwise asymptotic normality as well as the uniform convergence rate of the proposed nonparametric estimator. A simulation study that serves two purposes is provided. First, it illustrates in detail how to implement our proposed nonparametric estimator. Second, it facilitates a comparison of the nonparametric estimator to a parametric counterpart based on the estimator of Lu and Liang (2008). We consider the estimation problem with classical case-cohort data. The case-cohort design was first proposed by Prentice (Biometrics 73:1–11, 1986). Most studies focus on the Cox regression model. In this paper, we consider the linear regression model. We propose an estimator which extends the Buckley–James estimator to the classical case-cohort design. In order to derive the BJE, there is an additional problem of finding the generalized maximum likelihood estimator (GMLE) of the underlying distribution functions. We propose a self-consistent algorithm for the GMLE. We also justify that the GMLE is consistent and asymptotically normally distributed under certain regularity conditions. We further present some simulation results on the asymptotic properties of the BJE and apply our procedure to a data set used in the literature.  相似文献

Estimation of a survival function from randomly censored data is very important in survival analysis. The Kaplan-Meier estimator is a very popular choice, and kernel smoothing is a simple way of obtaining a smooth estimator. In this paper, we propose a new smooth version of the Kaplan-Meier estimator using a Bezier curve. We show that the proposed estimator is strongly consistent. Numerical results reveal the that proposed estimator outperforms the Kaplan-Meier estimator and its kernel weighted smooth version in the sense of mean integrated square error. We extend the simple linear measurement error model through the inclusion of a composite indicator by using the generalized maximum entropy estimator. A Monte Carlo simulation study is proposed for comparing the performances of the proposed estimator to his counterpart the ordinary least squares “Adjusted for attenuation”. The two estimators are compared in term of correlation with the true latent variable, standard error and root mean of squared error. Two illustrative case studies are reported in order to discuss the results obtained on the real data set, and relate them to the conclusions drawn via simulation study.  相似文献

本文研究测量误差模型的自适应LASSO(least absolute shrinkage and selection operator)变量选择和系数估计问题.首先分别给出协变量有测量误差时的线性模型和部分线性模型自适应LASSO参数估计量,在一些正则条件下研究估计量的渐近性质,并且证明选择合适的调整参数,自适应LASSO参数估计量具有oracle性质.其次讨论估计的实现算法及惩罚参数和光滑参数的选择问题.最后通过模拟和一个实际数据分析研究了自适应LASSO变量选择方法的表现,结果表明,变量选择和参数估计效果良好.  相似文献
