We investigate the existence and stability of dipole-mode solitons in two-dimensional models of nonlocal media with anisotropic Kerr nonlinearity analytically and numerically. We obtain the approximate solution of such elliptic dipole solitons by using the variational approximation. The dynamics of such dipole-mode solitons is governed by the eccentricity of both the input beam and the nonlocal response function. We also compute the stability of the solitons by direct numerical simulations. The effects of the anisotropy of the nonlocal response function on the propagation of the dipole beam are also discussed in detail.  相似文献

Propagation dynamics of a two-dimensional Airy Gaussian beam and Airy Gaussian vortex beam are investigated numerically in local and nonlocal nonlinear media. The self-healing and collapse of the beam crucially depend on the distribution factor b and the topological charge m. With the aid of nonlocality, a stable Airy Gaussian beam and an Airy Gaussian vortex beam with larger amplitude can be obtained, which always collapse in local nonlinear media. When the distribution factor b is large enough, the Airy Gaussian vortex beam will transfer into quasi-vortex solitons in nonlocal nonlinear media.  相似文献

利用强非局域非线性介质中傍轴光束传输的修正Snyder-Mitchell模型讨论了两束共线(即光束中心和传输方向都相同)拉盖尔-高斯型光孤子(CLGS)构成的涡旋光孤子传输过程。在一定条件下,涡旋光束在传输过程中,光束截面光斑发生旋转现象,但光束的束宽保持不变,称之为旋转涡旋光孤子。涡旋光孤子旋转的现象可以通过叠加光场中的古依相位来解释。结果展现了几个旋转涡旋光孤子在传输过程中的旋转现象和强非局域介质中多环形旋转涡旋光孤子的传输。  相似文献

Both azimuthally and radially polarized vortex solitons are investigated to be able to exist in highly nonlocal nonlinear media. We get exactly analytical solutions of azimuthally polarized vortex solitons with only polarization singularities and radially polarized vortex solitons with both phase singularities and polarization singularities. Both azimuthally and radially polarized vortex solitons can exist in nonlocal self-focusing nonlinear media with proper modulation of the beam power and the degree of nonlocality. Contrary to those of radially polarized counterparts in local Kerr media, the topological charge can be any integer. When the topological charge m ≠ 0, both phase singularities and polarization singularities work. When m = 0, the polarization singularities work. Azimuthally polarized vortex solitons with polarization singularities corresponds to the linearly polarized vortex solitons with single charge. Our results show that polarization singularities work the same way as phase singularities in some sense.  相似文献

从(1+2)维非局域非线性薛定谔方程出发, 通过坐标变换得到了旋转坐标系下的非局域非线性薛定谔方程. 假设响应函数为高斯型, 用虚时间法数值求解了旋转坐标系下的非局域非线性薛定谔方程的静态孤子解, 迭代出了不同非局域程度条件下的静态椭圆孤子数值解. 最后采用分步傅里叶算法, 以迭代的孤子解作为初始输入波形, 模拟了在不同的非局域程度条件下, (1+2)维椭圆空间光孤子的旋转传输特性. 强非局域时, 椭圆光孤子的长轴方向和短轴方向波形都是高斯型, 其他的非局域程度下, 不是高斯型. 由此表明:(1+2)维椭圆光孤子对非局域程度依赖性很强. 旋转角速度和功率均与非局域程度以及孤子的椭圆度有关.  相似文献

We study the formation of azimuthons, i.e., rotating spatial solitons, in media with nonlocal focusing nonlinearity. We show that whole families of these solutions can be found by considering internal modes of classical non-rotating stationary solutions, namely vortex solitons. This offers an exhaustive method to identify azimuthons in a given nonlocal medium. We demonstrate formation of azimuthons of different vorticities and explain their properties by considering the strongly nonlocal limit of accessible solitons.  相似文献

We investigate, analytically and numerically, a class of novel higher-order spatial solitons in two transverse-dimensions, in highly nonlocal nonlinear media. The stability of these solutions in propagation is confirmed by direct numerical simulation. Our results demonstrate that the higher-order spatial solitons in highly nonlocal nonlinear media can exist in various forms, such as the fundamental solitons, vortex-ring solitons, multipole solitons, and fractional solitons.  相似文献

非局域体介质中的暗孤子及表面亮孤子由于在光通信领域的潜在应用而受到极大关注,然而到目前为止却没有对非局域表面暗孤子的研究.在线性介质和非局域非线性介质的分界面上,数值模拟得到了1+1维非局域基态和二阶表面暗孤子,研究了它们的波形与传播常数和介质非局域程度的关系,基于它们的稳定性分析进行了理论推导和数值模拟.稳定性分析结果表明:1+1维非局域基态表面暗孤子在其存在区域总是稳定的,而二阶表面暗孤子是区域不稳定的,其不稳定区域的宽度与传播常数以及介质的非局域程度有关系,且受传播常数的影响更大.加噪声的初始输入传输图验证了稳定性分析结果的正确性.  相似文献

Oscillatory behavior of spatial solitons in a transverse parabolic gradient refractive index distribution (GRIN) waveguide with both local and nonlocal nonlinearity is investigated. Dynamics of such solitons are analyzed by the effective-particle approach method. For weak nonlocal nonlinearity, solitons oscillate in transverse direction periodically during propagation. The normalized width and maximum of refractive index variation of the waveguide play a key role in determining the oscillating period while the position of soliton oscillatory center is slightly influenced by the nonlocal nonlinearity. Stronger nonlocal nonlinearity leads to instability of the oscillatory solitons. Furthermore, the dynamics of the solitons are simulated numerically and good agreements are obtained between the analysis and numerical results. The propagation of elliptic incoherent beam in strongly nonlocal media with noninstantaneous anisotropic Kerr nonlinearity is systematically investigated. Using the mutual coherence function approach, we obtain the existence curve of such solitons and an interesting outcome: correlation characteristics of the elliptic incoherent solitons can be anisotropic as well as isotropic. When the existence conditions of solitons are not satisfied, the elliptic incoherent beam will undergo periodic oscillation. Nonstationary evolution behaviors of the elliptic beam are shown in detail by numerical calculation. It is also obtained that the oscillation periods of the beam in x and y direction are different and the elliptic beam will become circular at some propagation distance under special conditions.  相似文献

利用强非局域非线性介质中傍轴光束传输的线性模型(Snyder-Mitchell模型)讨论了椭圆坐标系下光束传输过程,通过设立Ince多项式对Gauss函数的调制解得到了强非局域非线性介质中光束稳定传输的Ince-Gauss解.当Ince-Gauss光束的入射功率为临界功率时,光束保持孤子形式传输,否则传输光束的束宽呈现周期性波动,即为呼吸子形式.同时还数值模拟了呼吸子的传输过程.Ince-Gauss光在一定条件下可以连续转换为Hermite-Gauss光或Laguerre-Gauss光,图示展现了几个低阶Ince型光孤子及其转换情况. 关键词: 强非局域非线性介质 Ince-Gauss光 Laguerre-Gauss光 Hermite-Gauss光  相似文献

We solve the three-dimensional (3D) time-dependent strongly nonlocal nonlinear Schrödinger equation (NNSE) in spherical coordinates, with the help of Kummer's functions. We obtain analytical solitary solutions, which we term the Kummer solitons. We compare analytical solutions with the numerical solutions of NNSE. We discuss higher-order Kummer spatial solitons, which can exist in various forms, such as the 3D vortex solitons and the multipole solitons.  相似文献

We construct a class of three-dimensional strongly nonlocal spatiotemporal solitary waves of the nonlocal nonlinear Schrödinger equation, by using superpositions of single accessible solitons as initial conditions. Evolution of such solitary waves, termed the accessible light bullets, is studied numerically by choosing specific values of topological charges and other solitonic parameters. Our numerical results reveal that in strongly nonlocal nonlinear media with a Gaussian response function, different classes of accessible spatiotemporal solitons can be generated and controlled by tailoring different soliton parameters.  相似文献

The existence and stability of fundamental and multipole solitons in Bessel potential are studied, including linear case, and nonlocal nonlinearity cases. For linear case, the eigenvalues and eigenfunction for different modulated depths of Bessel potential are obtained numerically. For nonlocal nonlinear cases, the existence and stability of fundamental and multipole solitons are studied. The results show that there exists a critical propagation constant b c of solitons, below which the solitons vanish. The value of b c is associated with the eigenvalue for linear case. It is found that nonlocality can expand the stability region of solitons. Fundamental and dipole solitons are stable in the whole region and the stable range of multipole solitons increase with increasing of the nonlocal degree.  相似文献

We study the propagation of elliptic incoherent accessible solitons in strongly nonlocal media with noninstantaneous Kerr nonlinearity. For this soliton to exist, the coherence properties of the incoherent beam should be anisotropic. The total power of the incident beam should also equal to a critical value which depend on the beam width as well as the coherence properties. When initial parameters of the beam do not satisfy the existence conditions, the elliptic incoherent accessible solitons will undergo linear harmonic oscillation in different states. We analyze two-component spatial optical vortex solitons supported by parametric wave mixing processes in a nonlinear bulk medium. We study two distinct cases of such localized waves, namely, parametric vortex solitons due to phase-matched second-harmonic generation in an optical medium with competing quadratic and cubic nonlinear response, and vortex solitons in the presence of third-harmonic generation in a cubic medium. We find, analytically and numerically, the structure of two-component vortex solitons, and also investigate modulational instability of their plane-wave background. In particular, we predict and analyze in detail novel types of vortex solitons, a "halo-vortex," consisting of a two-component vortex core surrounded by a bright ring of its harmonic field, and a "ring-vortex" soliton which is a vortex in a harmonic field that guides a ring-like localized mode of the fundamental-frequency field.  相似文献

We study analytically and numerically the propagation of spatial solitons in a two-dimensional strongly nonlocal nonlinear medium. Exact analytical solutions in the form of self-similar spatial solitons are obtained involving higher-order Hermite-Gaussian functions.
