采用密度矩阵方程,分别在引入耦合场线宽和强度、探测场频率变化以及耦合场频率与探测场频率之比变化的条件下,数值计算了双简并四能级原子系统中介质对探测场的吸收(增益)和相位光栅衍射效率的影响。结果表明:耦合场线宽的增大削弱了简并四能级原子相干;不考虑耦合场线宽(R=0)时的增益和衍射效率比考虑耦合场线宽(R≠0)时的大,在耦合光频率与探测光频率之比为ΩcΩp≈400时衍射效率最大可达到35%。  相似文献

介绍声光效应的最新理论进展。采用光栅假设,对各向同性介质中的声光效应作了简要讨论,导出了第m级衍射光的衍射效率公式。研究和介绍一种新的声光效应实验装置。在实验中,应用线阵CCD光强分布测量仪等,通过改变超声波的频率和功率,分别实现了对激光束方向的控制和强度的调制;定量给出了声光偏转量的关系曲线和声光调制测量的关系曲线。实验表明,在布喇格衍射下,通过固定超声波功率,测量衍射光相对于零级衍射光的相对光强与超声波频率的关系曲线,不仅可以计算声速,还可以确定声光器件的带宽和中心频率。  相似文献

利用严格傅里叶模式理论研究了不同基底折射率、入射角度、归一化周期、归一化沟槽深度对正弦型光栅微结构衍射效率的影响,并分析了该光栅的衍射特性.基于标量衍射理论和等效介质理论,分别计算了光栅周期远远大于和远远小于入射波长时,正弦型光栅的衍射效率,并与傅里叶模式理论的计算结果进行比较,分析标量衍射理论和等效介质理论的有效性.结果表明:在垂直入射条件下,当光栅基质材料折射率为1.5时,标量衍射理论在光栅归一化周期大于5时,能够准确计算光栅衍射效率,误差小于3%;当基底折射率增大到3.42时,只有在光栅归一化周期大于10时,标量衍射理论才有效,误差小于5%;当正弦型光栅透射光中只有0级衍射光传播时,等效介质理论能够准确计算其透射率;随着入射角度的增大,标量衍射理论和等效介质理论的有效性都不同程度地降低.  相似文献

研究声光效应光栅理论,分析动量匹配与衍射效率关系,探讨相干光平衡探测的噪声抑制机理,进行了系统设计和相关实验测试,验证基于声光效应的相干平衡探测系统光学降噪方法的技术实现。结果表明,相位确定的信号在进行声光互作用时能建立稳定光栅,其衍射效率将大于相位随机变化的噪声信号,通过平衡探测可有效抑制噪声起伏对系统输出的影响,进一步提高接收信噪比。  相似文献

 使用耦合波法以及特征矩阵法计算了周期膜堆结构以及介质压缩光栅的本征值,研究了介质型压缩光栅产生导模共振现象的条件,并计算了导模共振点附近光栅的衍射效率曲线。针对导模共振效应对光栅应用的影响,提出了一种避开该效应的方法。计算结果表明:当介质折射率呈周期变化时,取光栅周期为0.667 μm,深度为0.6 μm时,可以避开导模共振效应。  相似文献

利用光纤光栅的1、2阶衍射实现温度/应变复合传感是近年来光纤光栅传感器研究领域的一个热点.理想情况下,光纤光栅的折射率分布函数是单一频率的余弦函数,而实际光纤光栅由于制造工艺的影响产生高阶折射率畸变.本文着重利用光波导模式耦合理论分析了这种非理想的折射率分布对光纤光栅反射性能的影响,得出了2阶折射率畸变将引起光栅的2阶衍射的结论;并简要探讨了利用光纤光栅的1、2阶衍射实现温度/应变复合传感方案存在的可能性.  相似文献

讨论了液体介质中的超声相位光栅的形成,根据声光相互作用类型的区分标准,在液体介质的超声光栅实验中声光相互作用一般为Naman-Nath衍射;相位光栅可以由声行波和声驻波形成,且形成的各级衍射条纹极大均由相同的光栅方程决定,各级衍射条纹的强度由相应阶次的J2m函数值决定;在此基础上给出了衍射条纹和衍射光强的分布特点.  相似文献

As a new type of functional material, magnetic fluid (MF) is a stable colloid of magnetic nanoparticles, dressed with surfactant and dispersed in the carrier liquid uniformly. The MF has many unique optical properties, and the most important one is its tunable refractive index property. This paper summarizes the properties of the MF refractive index and the related optical devices. The refractive index can be easily controlled by external magnetic field, temperature, and so on. But the tunable refractive index of MF has a relaxation effect. As a result, the response time is more than milliseconds and the MF is only suitable for low speed environment. Compared with the traditional optical devices, the magnetic fluid based optical devices have the tuning ability. Compared with the tunable optical devices (the electro-optic devices (LiNbO3) of more than 10 GHz modulation speed, acoustic-optic devices (Ge) of more than 20 MHz modulation speed), the speed of the magnetic fluid based optical devices is low. Now there are many applications of magnetic fluid based on the refractive index in the field of optical information communication and sensing technology, such as tunable beam splitter, optical-fiber modulator, tunable optical gratings, tunable optical filter, optical logic device, tunable interferometer, and electromagnetic sensor. With the development of the research and application of magnetic fluid,a new method, structure and material to improve the response time can be found, which will play an important role in the fields of optical information communication and sensing technology.  相似文献

One dimensional (1D) grating has been fabricated (using focused ion beam) on 50 nm gold (Au) film deposited on higher refractive index Gallium phosphate (GaP) substrate. The sub-wavelength periodic metal nano structuring enable to couple photon to couple with the surface plasmons (SPs) excited by them. These grating devices provide the efficient control on the SPs which propagate on the interface of noble metal and dielectric whose frequency is dependent on the bulk electron plasma frequency of the metal. For a fixed periodicity (Λ = 700 nm) and slit width (w = 100 nm) in the grating device, the efficiency of SPP excitation is about 40% compared to the transmission in the near-field. Efficient coupling of SPs with photon in dielectric provide field localisation on sub-wavelength scale which is needed in Heat Assisted Magnetic recording (HAMR) systems. The GaP is also used to emulate Vertical Cavity Surface emitting laser (VCSEL) in order to provide cheaper alternative of light source being used in HAMR technology. In order to understand the underlying physics, far-and near-field results has been compared with the modelling results which are obtained using COMSOL RF module.Apart from this, grating devices of smaller periodicity (Λ = 280 nm) and slit width (w = 22 nm) has been fabricated on GaP substrate which is photoluminescence material to observe amplified spontaneous emission of the SPs at wavelength of 805 nm when the grating device was excited with 532 nm laser light. 光纤结构设计、模间色散求解、光纤光栅模式耦合等问题的研究, 都需要对光纤纤芯及包层模的有效折射率进行精确计算. 本文以光纤三层结构模型为基础, 结合该模型下的模式本征方程, 使用截弦法求解了纤芯模有效折射率, 并将计算结果与COMSOL软件模拟的对应纤芯模的传输光场进行对比, 验证了计算结果正确.使用区间遍历算法对包层模有效折射率进行了求解, 与已有的传统方法相比, 该方法可以有效防止求解过程中根的遗漏、避免特征方程产生的奇点, 并能保证模式的正规性.本文采用Mathematica软件对求解过程进行仿真, 获得了纤芯模和包层模有效折射率与波长关系曲线. 关键词: 光纤传输模式 有效折射率 截弦法 区间遍历算法  相似文献

The results of measurements using ultrasonic diffraction grating spectroscopy (UDGS) are found to be dependent upon the particle size of the slurry. This illustrates the emergence of a new technique for measuring particle size. Theoretical calculations are underway to describe and predict them as well. The ultrasonic grating surface is in contact with the slurry. The diffraction grating was formed by machining triangular grooves with a periodicity of 483 microm on the flat surface of an aluminum unit with send and receive transducers fastened to it. For this experimental configuration, the ultrasonic beam strikes the back of the grating at an incident angle of 30 degrees and produces a transmitted beam of spectral order m=1 in the slurry. The angle of this transmitted beam changes with frequency and, at the critical frequency of 3.47 MHz, it is located at an angle of 90 degrees. The receive transducer measures the reflected m=0 beam at an angle of 30 degrees. At a frequency slightly less than the critical frequency, the m=1 transmitted beam no longer exists and its energy is shared with all other beams. Therefore, due to energy conservation, the signal in the receive transducer exhibits a peak at the critical frequency. During the transition, the wave interacts with the particles of the slurry and ultrasound amplitude is reduced. Therefore, the peak observed by the receive transducer is reduced, compared to that for water. Data have been obtained for slurries of polystyrene spheres, ranging in size from 215 microm to 463 microm, and for weight percentages of 1-12%. Polystyrene spheres of different diameter show differing amounts of energy loss and thus, particle size identification is possible.  相似文献

A two-dimensional apodized grating coupler for interfacing between single-mode fiber and photonic circuit is demonstrated in order to bridge the mode gap between the grating coupler and optical fiber. The grating grooves of the grating couplers are realized by columns of fully etched nanostructures, which are utilized to digitally tailor the effective refractive index of each groove in order to obtain the Gaussian-like output diffractive mode and then enhance the coupling efficiency.Compared with that of the uniform grating coupler, the coupling efficiency of the apodized grating coupler is increased by 4.3% and 5.7%, respectively, for the nanoholes and nanorectangles as refractive index tunes layer.  相似文献

We present a method to reduce changes in the resonant peak depth of a long-period fiber grating (LPFG) as the resonant band is tuned by varying the external refractive index. We theoretically analyze the effects of the initial coupling strength on the peak depth change as external refractive index is varied. By controlling the initial coupling strength, it is experimentally demonstrated that an optimum peak depth can be obtained over a range of operating wavelengths that will maximize the sensitivity and stability of LPFG based sensors and tunable filters.  相似文献

通过棱镜耦合激发非对称金属包覆介质波导结构中的TE0导波模式, 利用两束TE0模的干涉从理论上实现了周期可调的亚波长光栅刻写. 分析了TE0模式的色散关系, 刻写亚波长光栅的周期与激发光源、棱镜折射率、光刻胶薄膜厚度及折射率之间的关系. 用有限元方法数值模拟了金属薄膜、光刻胶薄膜和空气多层结构中TE0导模的干涉场分布. 研究发现, 激发光源波长越短, TE0 模干涉刻写的亚波长光栅周期越小; 光刻胶越厚, 刻写的亚波长光栅周期越小; 高折射率光刻胶有利于更小周期亚波长光栅的刻写. 相较于表面等离子体干涉光刻, 基于TE0 模的干涉可在厚光刻胶条件下通过改变激发光源、棱镜折射率、光刻胶材料折射率、特别是光刻胶薄膜的厚度等多种方式实现对亚波长光栅周期的有效调控.  相似文献
