We show that nontrivial convolution operators on certain spaces of entire functions on E are frequently hypercyclic when E is a normed space and when E is the strong dual of a Fréchet nuclear space. We also obtain results of existence and approximation for convolution equations on certain spaces of entire functions on arbitrary locally convex spaces.  相似文献

It is established in the paper that the spaces of entire functions of exponential type generated by the operator of differentiation defined in the space of summable functions on the axis belong to the well-known Sebastian-e-Silva class of locally convex spaces. In this paper, the BANACH-STEINHAUS theorem is extended from its usual locally convex topological vector space setting to the much broader framework of convergence vector spaces. It is used to derive theorems yielding the joint continuity of separately continuous bilinear mappings. These results are used, in turn, to show that the convolution mapping ?? is a jointly continuous bilinear mapping when the distribution spaces ? and ?? carry the canonical convergence vector space structures.  相似文献

We present a generalization of the Bochner integral to locally convex spaces. This generalization preserves the nuclearity of the mapping of the space of continuous functions on a compactum represented by the Bochner integral. We introduce locally convex spaces in which the study of a broad class of vector measures with values in these spaces reduces to the study of measures with values in a normed space. We look for characterizations of those locally convex spaces that satisfy the strict Mackey convergence condition within the context of spaces with webs. We will say that a locally convex space has a boundedly compatible web if it has a web of absolutely convex sets whose members behave like zero neighborhoods in a metrizable locally convex space. It will be shown that these locally convex spaces satisfy the strict Mackey convergence condition. One consequence of this result will be a characterization of boundedly retractive inductive limits. We will also prove that if E is locally complete and webbed, then the strict Mackey convergence condition is equivalent to E having a boundedly compatible web.  相似文献

Summary The paper reveals that ultrabarrelled spaces (respectively barrelled spaces) can be characterized by means of the density of the so-called weak singularities of families consisting of continuous convex mappings that are defined on an open absolutely convex set and take values in a locally full ordered topological linear space (respectively locally full ordered locally convex space). The idea to establish such characterizations arose from the observation that, in virtue of well-known results, the density of the singularities of families of continuous linear mappings allows to characterize both the ultrabarrelled spaces and the barrelled spaces.  相似文献

In [2] those locally convex spaces E, called GN-spaces, were investigated, for which every closed linear mapping from E to any normed space F is continuous. Here we study the smaller class of spaces E, called GM-spaces, which arise by admitting now for F all metrizable locally convex spaces. The GM-spaces have characterizations and permanence properties similar to those for GN-spaces. Main results are the barrelledness of every dense subspace of a GM-space, the finite dimension of the bounded subsets of separated GM-spaces, an embedding theorem., and the existence of separated GM-spaces which do not have the finest locally convex topology.  相似文献

Generalized polyhedral convex sets, generalized polyhedral convex functions on locally convex Hausdorff topological vector spaces, and the related constructions such as sum of sets, sum of functions, directional derivative, infimal convolution, normal cone, conjugate function, subdifferential are studied thoroughly in this paper. Among other things, we show how a generalized polyhedral convex set can be characterized through the finiteness of the number of its faces. In addition, it is proved that the infimal convolution of a generalized polyhedral convex function and a polyhedral convex function is a polyhedral convex function. The obtained results can be applied to scalar optimization problems described by generalized polyhedral convex sets and generalized polyhedral convex functions.  相似文献

Almost transitive superreflexive Banach spaces have been considered in [C. Finet, Uniform convexity properties of norms on superreflexive Banach spaces, Israel J. Math. 53 (1986) 81–92], where it is shown that they are uniformly convex and uniformly smooth. We characterize such spaces as those convex transitive Banach spaces satisfying conditions much weaker than that of uniform convexity (for example, that of having a weakly locally uniformly rotund point). We note that, in general, the property of convex transitivity for a Banach space is weaker than that of almost transitivity.  相似文献

In the infinite dimensional case it is known from a Dineen-Nachbin counterexample that the natural generalization of the Paley-Wiener-Schwartz theorem is no longer valid: The image through the Fourier transform F of the space ?′(E) is made of entire functions on E′ that, besides the usual inequality, satisfy a more technical condition. We define and study here a dense subspace, denoted by E(E), of ?(E) with a proper topology such that F (E′(E)) is made of the entire functions on E′ that satisfy only the classical inequality. For this reason this space E(E) is suited for the study of convolution and partial differential equations in spaces of C functions on locally convex spaces.  相似文献

We introduce in this work some normed space notions such as norming, thin and thick sets in general locally convex spaces. We also study some effects of thick sets on the uniform boundedness-like principles in locally convex spaces such as “weak*-bounded sets are strong*-bounded if and only if the space is a Banach–Mackey space”. It is proved that these principles occur under some weaker conditions by means of thick sets. Further, we show that the thickness is a duality invariant, that is, all compatible topologies for some locally convex space have the same thick sets.  相似文献

The theory of linear ordinary quasi-differential operators has been considered in Lebesgue locally integrable spaces on a single interval of the real line. Such spaces are not Banach spaces but can be considered as complete, locally convex, linear topological spaces where the topology is derived from a countable family of semi-norms. The first conjugate space can also be defined as a complete, locally convex, linear topological space but now with the topology derived as a strict inductive limit. This article extends the previous single interval results to the case when a finite or countable number of intervals of the real line is considered. Conjugate and preconjugate linear quasi-differential operators are defined and relationships between these operators are developed.  相似文献
