Polymerization of δ‐valerolactone has been studied using γ‐butyrolactone enolate as initiator. Mechanistic studies show that the initiation proceeds with incorporation of the initiator into the growing polymer chain and acyl‐oxygen bond cleavage of the monomer. The molecular weight distribution of the resulting polymers is narrow compared to that of poly(δ‐valerolactone) obtained from common anionic initiators, e. g. alkali metal alkoxides.  相似文献

A preparatively useful one‐step transformation of γ,γ‐disubstituted α‐formyl‐γ‐lactones into trisubstituted γ,δ‐unsaturated aldehydes is described, by means of catalytic amounts of either AcOH or AcOEt in the vapor phase over a glass support. A mechanistic rationale is proposed.  相似文献

γ‐Acryloyloxyethyl‐γ‐butyrolactone is formed as a byproduct when the polymerization of γ‐acryloyloxy‐ε‐caprolactone is initiated with aluminium isopropoxide in toluene. The extent of this side reaction decreases with decreasing temperature and is dependent on whether the reaction is stopped as soon as monomer conversion is complete or not. A two‐step backbiting mechanism is proposed for this intramolecular transesterification reaction.  相似文献

Hybrid peptidic oligomers comprising natural and unnatural amino acid residues that can exhibit biomolecular folding and hydrogen‐bonding mimicry have attracted considerable interest in recent years. While a variety of hybrid peptidic helices have been reported in the literature, other secondary structural patterns such as γ‐turns and ribbons have not been well explored so far. The present work reports the design of novel periodic γ‐turns in the oligomers of 1:1 natural‐α/unnatural trans‐β‐norborenene (TNAA) amino acid residues. Through DFT, NMR, and MD studies, it is convincingly shown that, in the mixed conformational pool, the heterogeneous backbone of the hybrid peptides preferentially adopt periodic 8‐membered (pseudo γ‐turn)/7‐membered (inverse γ‐turn) hydrogen bonds in both polar and non‐polar solvent media. It is observed that the stereochemistry and local conformational preference of the β‐amino acid building blocks have a profound influence on accessing the specific secondary fold. These findings may be of significant relevance for the development of molecular scaffolds that facilitate desired positioning of functional side‐chains.  相似文献

A Ph3P‐catalyzed cyclization of α‐halogeno ketones 2 with dialkyl acetylenedicarboxylates (=dialkyl but‐2‐ynedioates) 3 produced halogenated α,β‐unsaturated γ‐butyrolactone derivatives 4 in good yields (Scheme 1, Table). The presence of electron‐withdrawing groups such as halogen atoms at the α‐position of the ketones was necessary in this reaction. Cyclization of α‐chloro ketones resulted in higher yields than that of the corresponding α‐bromo ketones. Dihalogeno ketones similarly afforded the expected γ‐butyrolactone derivatives in high yields.  相似文献

γ‐Halocarbanions, short‐lived intermediates, add to electron‐deficient double bonds of aldehydes, Michael acceptors, and imines to form anionic adducts that enter intramolecular 1,5‐substitution to form five‐membered rings of tetrahydrofurans, cyclopentanes, and pyrrolidines, respectively. Although the γ‐halocarbanions can be generated by simple deprotonation of appropriate precursors, a wealth of other methods based on Lewis acid‐catalyzed opening of cyclopropanes with formation of dipolar species utilizes a similar mechanistic scheme. In our review, we analyze kinetic relations of elementary processes in the multistep transformations, and demonstrate how structural factors influence the mechanisms and selectivity of the reaction.  相似文献

Ring‐opening polymerization (ROP) of ε‐caprolactone (CL) using salicylic acid (SAA) as the organocatalyst and benzyl alcohol as the initiator in bulk at 80 °C successfully proceeded to give a narrowly distributed poly(ε‐caprolactone) (PCL). In addition, 2‐hydroxyethyl methacrylate, propargyl alcohol, 6‐azido‐1‐hexanol, and methoxy poly(ethylene glycol) were also used as functional initiators. The 1H NMR, SEC, and MALDI‐TOF MS measurements of the PCL clearly indicate the presence of the initiator residue at the chain end, implying that the SAA‐catalyzed ROP of CL was through the activated monomer mechanism. The kinetic experiments confirmed the controlled/living nature of the SAA‐catalyzed ROP of CL. Furthermore, the block copolymerization of CL and δ‐valerolactone successfully proceeded to give poly(ε‐caprolactone)‐block‐poly(δ‐valerolactone). © 2014 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. Polym. The oxidant‐free dehydrogenation of n‐pentanol over copper based catalysts was investigated in this paper. The effect of metal modification on the activity and stability of the copper catalyst supported on γ‐Al2O3 and La2O3 (Cu/γ‐Al2O3‐La2O3) was clarified and a Cr modified Cu/Al2O3‐La2O3 (Cu‐Cr/γ‐Al2O3‐La2O3) showed the best catalytic performance. The conversion of n‐pentanol was 70.0% and the selectivity for n‐pentanal increased to 97.1% over Cu‐Cr/γ‐Al2O3‐La2O3. X‐ray diffraction and temperature programmed reduction of H2 indicated that the addition of Cr favors the formation and reduction of the copper oxide, and the dispersion of the active Cu0 species, accounting for the good activity and stability of this catalyst. Furthermore, the lower amount of acidic sites in Cu‐Cr/γ‐Al2O3‐La2O3 is suggested to suppress the dehydration in oxidant‐free dehydrogenation of n‐pentanol, accounting for the higher selectivity for n‐pentanal.  相似文献

A racemic cis/trans mixture of 5‐hexyl‐4‐methyl‐γ‐butyrolactone was easily synthesized from 1‐iodoheptane in four steps with inexpensive and readily available reagents. Our new synthesis method can be potentially employed for mass production of the 4‐methyl‐5‐hexyl‐γ‐butyrolactone as well as other poly‐alkyl substituted γ‐butyrolactones.  相似文献

The direct and enantioselective γ‐alkylation of α‐substituted α,β‐unsaturated aldehydes proceeding under dienamine catalysis is described. We have found that the Seebach modification of the diphenyl‐prolinol silyl ether catalyst in combination with saccharin as an acidic additive promotes an SN1 alkylation pathway, while ensuring complete γ‐site selectivity and a high stereocontrol. Theoretical and spectroscopic investigations have provided insights into the conformational behavior of the covalent dienamine intermediate derived from the condensation of 2‐methylpent‐2‐enal and the chiral amine. Implications for the mechanism of stereoinduction are discussed.  相似文献

A synthetic approach comprising several studied modifications was applied to the preparation of sn‐glycerol 1,2‐di‐γ‐linolenate 3‐palmitate ( 4 ). The synthesis of enantiomerically pure (+)‐ and (−)‐γ‐ionone 3 is reported. The first step in the synthesis is the diastereoisomeric enrichment of 4‐nitrobenzoate derivatives of racemic γ‐ionol 12 . The enantioselective lipase‐mediated kinetic acetylation of γ‐ionol 13b afforded the acetate 14 and the alcohol 15 , which are suitable precursors of the desired products (−)‐ and (+)‐ 3 , respectively. The olfactory evaluation of the γ‐ionone isomers shows a great difference between the two enantiomers both in fragrance response and in detection threshold. The selective reduction of (−)‐ 3 and (+)‐ 3 to the γ‐dihydroionones (−)‐(R)‐ 16 and (+)‐(S)‐ 17 , respectively, allowed us to assign unambiguously the absolute configuration of the γ‐ionones.  相似文献

Methyl (2E,4R)‐4‐hydroxydec‐2‐enoate, methyl (2E,4S)‐4‐hydroxydec‐2‐enoate, and ethyl (±)‐(2E)‐4‐hydroxy[4‐2H]dec‐2‐enoate were chemically synthesized and incubated in the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Initial C‐chain elongation of these substrates to C12 and, to a lesser extent, C14 fatty acids was observed, followed by γ‐decanolactone formation. Metabolic conversion of methyl (2E,4R)‐4‐hydroxydec‐2‐enoate and methyl (2E,4S)‐4‐hydroxydec‐2‐enoate both led to (4R)‐γ‐decanolactone with >99% ee and 80% ee, respectively. Biotransformation of ethyl (±)‐(2E)‐4‐hydroxy(4‐2H)dec‐2‐enoate yielded (4R)‐γ‐[2H]decanolactone with 61% of the 2H label maintained and in 90% ee indicating a stereoinversion pathway. Electron‐impact mass spectrometry analysis (Fig. 4) of 4‐hydroxydecanoic acid indicated a partial C(4)→C(2) 2H shift. The formation of erythro‐3,4‐dihydroxydecanoic acid and erythro‐3‐hydroxy‐γ‐decanolactone from methyl (2E,4S)‐4‐hydroxydec‐2‐enoate supports a net inversion to (4R)‐γ‐decanolactone via 4‐oxodecanoic acid. As postulated in a previous work, (2E,4S)‐4‐hydroxydec‐2‐enoic acid was shown to be a key intermediate during (4R)‐γ‐decanolactone formation via degradation of (3S,4S)‐dihydroxy fatty acids and precursors by Saccharomyces cerevisiae.  相似文献

A series of novel γ,γ‐difluorinated Goniothalamin analogues 4a – 4i and 6a – 6i were synthesized. The key steps included the construction of C‐5 stereocenter adjacent to gem‐difluoromethylene group by way of lipase AK catalyzed kinetic resolution, the introduction of aryl group via Stille coupling, and lactonization by 1,5‐oxidative cyclization. These γ,γ‐difluorinated Goniothalamin analogues 4a – 4i and their enantiomers 6a – 6i , together with several corresponding γ‐monofluorinated Goniothalamin analogues were biologically evaluated against four different cancer cell lines. Compound 7h showed a nearly equivalent potency as the parent (R)‐Goniothalamin in the micromolar range. The different fluorine effects between fluoromethylene and gem‐difluoromethylene on antitumor activity were discussed through the analysis of bioassay data.  相似文献

Macroinitiator‐amino terminated poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) (NH2‐PEO‐NH2) was prepared by converting both terminal hydroxyl groups of PEG to more reactive primary amino groups. The synthetic route involved reactions of chloridize, phthalimide and finally hydrazinolysis. Furthermore, poly(γ‐benzyl‐L ‐glutamate)‐poly(ethylene oxide)‐poly(γ‐benzyl‐L ‐glutamate) (PBLG‐PEO‐PBLG) triblock copolymer was synthesized by polymerization of γ‐benzyl‐L ‐glutamate N‐carboxyanhydride (Bz‐L‐GluNCA) using NH2‐PEO‐NH2 as macroinitiator. The resultant NH2‐PEO‐NH2 and triblock copolymer were characterized by FT‐IR, 1H‐NMR and gel permeation chromatography (GPC) techniques. The results demonstrated that the degree of amination of the NH2‐PEO‐NH2 could be up to 1.95. The molecular weight of the PBLG‐PEO‐PBLG triblock copolymer could be adjusted easily by controlling the molar ratio of Bz‐L ‐Glu NCA to the macroinitiator NH2‐PEO‐NH2. A concise synthesis of α‐benzylidene‐γ‐methyl‐γ‐butyrolactones 5a – g from substituted benzaldehydes is described. Compounds 1a – g on reaction with phosphorane 2 , provide the pentenoates 3a – g , which can be hydrolyzed to the acids 4a – g . The latter are cyclized to the corresponding butyrolactones 5a – g in excellent yields. The pentenoates 3a – g , on acid catalyzed cyclization, also provide 5a – g in very high yields.  相似文献

A one‐step transformation of γ‐ and δ‐(spiro)lactones into γ,δ‐ and δ,ε‐unsaturated aldehydes with an excess of formic acid in the vapor phase over a supported manganese catalyst is described for the first time. The scope and limitations of this new reaction are shown with different lactones as substrate, and a mechanistic rationale is proposed.  相似文献

Novel water‐insoluble, and reduction‐responsive nonwoven scaffolds were fabricated from γ‐PGA and tested in cell culture. An electrospinning method was developed to produce scaffolds of fibers with diameters of 0.05–0.5 µm. Crosslinking of the fibers with cystamine in the presence of EDC resulted in water‐insoluble γ‐PGA nonwovens with disulfide crosslinkages. These crosslinked fibers were easily decomposed under physiological conditions using L ‐cysteine, a biocompatible reductant. In vitro experiments with mouse L929 fibroblasts showed good adhesion onto γ‐PGA‐SS fiber matrices and excellent cell proliferation. These γ‐PGA‐SS nonwovens can be used as novel biocompatible and biodegradable scaffolds with reduction‐responsiveness for biomedical or tissue engineering applications.
