We have studied the transport property of the composites (La0.83Sr0.17 MnO3)1-x(ITO)x [ITO=(In2O3)0.95 (SNO2)0.05], which were fabricated by mechanically mixing La0.83Sr0.17MnO3 and ITO grains. A giant positive magnetoresistance (PMR) has been observed above the Curie temperature Tc for samples with x around 0.40, in addition to the negative magnetoresistanee related to spin-dependent interracial tunnelling below To. For (La0.83Sr0.17MnO3)0.6(ITO)0.4, the magnetoresistive ratio for the PMR can reach 39.3% under a magnetic field H=2.24×10^5A/m. Theoretical analysis suggests that the magnetic-field-induced broadening of the p-n barrier between both kinds of grains and the density of the p-n heterostructures should be responsible for the PMR behaviour.  相似文献

La0.7Ca0.3MnO3:xZn0.95Co0.05O (x=0.0,0.05, 0.1, 0.15mol) composites are prepared by a sol-gel process. X- ray diffraction and energy diffraction spectroscopy reveal that there is no evidence of a reaction between the La0.7 Ca0.3 MnO3 (LCMO) and Zn0.95Co0.05 O (ZCO). Magnetization M, Curie temperature Tc and metal-insulator transition temperatures Tp are observed to decrease with increasing ZCO content. Compared with x = 0.0, a great enhancement in the magnetoresistance (MR) is observed at around Tc for x = 0.05, 0.10, 0.15. Based on the tunneling MR and percolation models, this great change of MR is well explained.  相似文献

A comparative st udy of electrical transport and magnetoresistance (MR) is performed for sol-gel prepared samples of nominal composition La2/3 Cal/3MnO3, La2/3 Cal/3Mnl-x CuxO3 and La2/3 Ca1/3Mn1-x ZnxO3 with x = 4%.Compared with La2/3 Ca1/3MnO3, the introduction of Cu or Zn causes a significant downward shift of insulatormetal transition and a sharp MR peak near the transition. The sharp MR peak becomes observable even upon the application of low magnetic fields. It is also shown that although the same behaviour of transport and MR is observed, the sample containing Cu stands out clearly from the sample containing Zn for a substantial enhancement in MR near the transition.  相似文献

The temperature dependence of resistivity ρ of YSZ doping composite of (1-x) La0.67Ca0.33MnO3 xYSZ and Y2O3 doping composite of (1-y) La0.67MnO3 yY2O3 is investigated,respectively,in a temperature range 77-300K,where the YSZ represents yttria-stabilized zirconia(8mol%Y2O3 92mol% ZrO2).Experimental results show that the YSZ doping level has important effects on both the metal-insulator(M-I) transition temperatures and zero field resistivity of the composites of (1-x) La0.67Ca0.33MnO3 xYSZ.However,the Y2O3 doping level has little effect on the M-I transition temperatures and the zero field resistivity of (1-y)La0.67Ca0.33MnO3 yY2O3 only increases slightly.The difference between the two types of composites may mainly results from the different distribution of high resistance phases at the grain boundaries and /or surfaces of La0.67Ca0.33MnO3 grains rather than the substitution of La^3 ions with Y^3 ions.  相似文献

A series of polycrystalline Cu-doped n=2 Ruddlesden-Popper manganates La1.2Sr1.8CuzMn(2-x)O7 (x=0, 0.04, 0.13) were synthesized by the solid state reaction method. The effect of Cu doping on the magnetic and transport properties has been studied. It is found that Cu substitution for Mn greatly affects the magnetic and electrical properties of the parent phase La1.2Sr1.8Mn2O7. With the increase of Cu content, the system undergoes a transition from longrange ferromagnetic order to the spin glass state and further to an antiferromagnetic order. A little of Cu dopant can lead to the samples showing semiconductor or insulator behaviour in the whole observed temperature range while the parent phase has a metal-insulator transition. These samples show colossal magnetoresistance at low temperatures and the value of it decreases with increasing Cu content.  相似文献

Owing to the inhomogeneous state resulting from the doping of a small number of Eu ions into Laa/3Sr5/3Mn2O7, from the resulting single crystal (La0.8Eu0.2)a/3Sr5/3Mn2O7 we have observed the magnetization jump, the resistivity jump, as well as the relaxation phenomena. For (Lao.sEuo.2)a/3Sr5/3Mn2O7, it has a very delicate ground state due to the interplays among spin, charge, orbital, lattice degrees of freedom. Consequently, the magnetization state is sensitive to temperature, magnetic field, as well as time. Meanwhile, the evolution of the magnetization with time shows a spontaneous jump when both the temperature and the magnetic field are constant. Similar step-like behaviours are also observed in resistivity. All these results suggest that Eu doping can greatly modulate the physical properties of Laa/3Sr5/3Mn2O7 and cause such interesting behaviours.  相似文献

A series of (La_{1-x}Tb_x)_{2/3}Sr_{1/3}MnO_3 polycrystalline samples has been studied by means of x-ray diffraction, magnetostriction, and thermal expansion measurements. It has been found that this series undergoes a phase transition from a rhombohedral to an orthorhombic form at the doping level x≈0.20 at room temperature accompanied by an anisotropic magnetostriction up to -50×10^{-6} under a magnetic field of 1T. The linear and volume magnetostrictions vary with chemical composition, even change sign. At T=80K, the magnetostrictions for the samples of x=0.20 and 0.40 exhibit different behaviours. The sample of x=0.20 has positive volume and linear magnetostrictions and a negative anisotropic magnetostriction, while the sample of x=0.40 has an opposite behaviour. The magnitude of volume magnetostriction for both the samples is essential (~10^{-4}) at T=80K under a magnetic field of 4T. We conclude that these anomalous effects are due to the charge delocalization and the structural phase transition between orthorhombic and rhombohedral forms induced by the applied magnetic field.  相似文献

Thermal diffusivity has been investigated in a manganite thin film La0.6Sr0.4MnO3 by means of transient grating (TG) technique at room temperature. A new method, which is generalized to two-layered samples of the thin film deposited on a semi-infinite substrate, is established to fit the TG signals. The thermal diffusivity of the Lao.6Sro.4MnO3 thin film with a thickness of 200nm on an MgO (100) substrate is determined to be 0.92mm^2/s, which is slightly smaller than that of the single crystal sample (1 mm^2/s).  相似文献

This paper reports that the transient laser-induced voltages have been observed in La2/3Ca1/3MnO3 thin films on MgO (001) in the absence of an applied current. A peak voltage of - 0.15 V was detected in response to 0.015J pulse of 308 nm laser. It is demonstrated that the signal polarity is reversed when the films are irradiated through the substrate rather than at the air/film interface. Off-diagonal thermoelectricity may support the inversion of the signal when the irradiation direction is reversed.  相似文献

The synthesis and magnetoclectric (ME) characterization of bilayers of Pb(Zr, Ti)O3 (PZT) and hot pressed manganite perovskite La0.7Sr0.3MnO3 (LSMO) are discussed. Very strong ME interactions are measured for the bilayers. The bilayers exhibit superior ME coupling compared to thick-film composites prepared by tape casting process. Data of the ME voltage coefficient have been obtained as functions of bias magnetic field H, temperature and frequency. The transverse coupling is stronger than the longitudinal interactions and a maximum in the ME voltage coefficient is measured at 225K. The frequency dependence of the ME voltage coefficient reveals a peak at the electromechanical resonance due to radial modes.  相似文献

We investigate the magnetic transitions in a (La1-x)2/3Ca1/3MnO3 system, which consists of paramagnetic and ferromagnetic domains, based on a magnetic theoretical percolation model In the mean-field approximation, the resistance as a function of temperature and magnetic field has been derived analytically and simulated numerically. It is found that the dependence of the critical temperature on magnetic field is linear when applied magnetic field is not too strong. Our theoretical predications are in good agreement with recent experimental observations.  相似文献

By using a sol-gel clue, a set of polycrystalline perovskite samples La1-xAgxMnO3 with a nominal doping level x ranging from 0.05 to 0.45 has been synthesized. The chemical composition and the magnetism of the samples were investigated. A little Ag was: found seeping from the samples in the sintering process when the doping level exceeded 0.05 and the sintering temperature was higher than 700℃ resulting in the samples being in multiphase. The magnetic transition points of the samples have been found to decrease with increasing sintering temperature. A concentration-dependent Tc similar to that of bivalent metal ion doped perovskite, has been obtained. We believe that the Ag seeping in the sintering process is responsible for those magnetic characteristics.  相似文献

A sample of La0.833K0.167MnO3-SrTiO3 (LKMO/STO) is fabricated by the sol-gel method. The microstructure,magnetic and transportation properties have been studied. X-ray diffraction patterns indicate that the structure of LKMO/STO is a homogeneous solid solution phase. The resistivity of LKMO/STO shows the insulator behaviour, which is different from La0.833K0.167MnO3 (LKMO) whose resistivity shows metal-insulator transition with decreasing temperature. The low-field (moH = 0.02 T) magnetoresistance decreases from 11% to 0.2% with the increasing temperature from 4 K‘to 220K for the LKMO/STO sample. The magnitude of magnetoresistance in a strong field (μoH = 5.5 T) almost increases linearly with decreasing temperature and reaches the maximum of 65% at the low temperature of 4.2K, which is much higher than that oE LKMO (40%). The enhanced low-field magnetoresistance effects are quantitatively explained by the spin-polarized tunnelling at grain boundaries.  相似文献

Large GdCa4O(BO3)3 crystal has been grown by the Czochralski method.The quality of GdCa4(BO3)3 crystal was assessed by white-beam synchrotron radiation topography.It has been found that there is a sub-grain boundary in the GdCa4O(BO3)3 crystal.The boundary divides the large GdCa4O(BO3)3 crystal into two individuals.Due to the misorientation between the two individuals,the image shifts can be observed in the synchrotron topopraphs.Based on the misorientation determined by high resolution X-ray diffractometer,the image shifts were calculated for several reflections.The calculations are in agreement with the measurements from the topogrphs very Well.In addition,the formation mechanism of sub-grain boundary is discussed.2001 Elsevier science B.V.All rights reserved.  相似文献

The microstructure,magnetic and transport properties of the heterogeneous system with a nominal composi-tion (1/m)Ag2O-La0.833K0.167MnO3 (1/m is molar ratio with m=32,16,8,4,and 2) have been studied.The x-ray diffraction patterns show that all the samples are two-phase composite and consist of a magnetic La0.833K0.167MnO3 (LKMO) perovskite phase and a nonmagnetic metal Ag phase.The room-temperature magnetoresistance (MR) effect is enhanced significantly due to the addition of Ag.For the m=4 sample,we obtain MR values up to 32% under a lower field of 0.5 T and 64% under a higher field of 5.5 T at the temperature of 300K,which are much larger than the corresponding MR values (10%and 35%) of the LKMO sample withoutAg.In the low-temperature range from 4.2K to 250K,the MR values of the Ag-added samples however decrease with the increasing Ag content in the samples.This effect is discussed qualitatively by using the relative contribution from the intrinsic MR effect and the extrinsic MR effect including the spin-polarized-tunnelling and spin-dependent scattering effects in different temperature regions.  相似文献

The multi-linear variable separation approach has been proved to be very useful in solving many (2 1)-dimensional integrable systems. Taking the (3 l)-dimeusional Burgers equation as a simple example, here we extend the multi-linear variable separation approach to (3 l )-dimensions. The form of the universal formula obtained from many (2 l )-dimensional system is still valid. However, a more general arbitrary function (with three independentvariables) has been included in the formula. Starting from the universal formula, one may obtain abundant (3 l )-dimensional localized excitations. In particular, we display a special paraboloid-type camber soliton solution and a dipole-type dromion solution which is localized in all directions.  相似文献

In this paper, the entangled mapping approach (EMA) is applied to obtain variable separation solutions of (1+1)-dimensional and (3+1)-dimensional systems. By analysis, we firstly find that there also exists a common formula to describe suitable physical fields or potentials for these (1+1)-dimensional models such as coupled integrable dispersionless (CID) and shallow water wave equations. Moreover, we find that the variable separation solution of the (3+1)-dimensional Burgers system satisfies the completely same form as the universal quantity U1 in (2+1)-dimensional systems. The only difference is that the function q is a solution of a constraint equation and p is an arbitrary function of three independent variables.  相似文献

The effect of Eu3+ ion doping in the La sites of single-crystal La4/3Srs/3Mn2O7 was investigated. Electron spin resonance (ESR) was applied to La4/3Sr5/3Mn2O7 and (Lao.8Euo.2)4/3Sr5/3Mn2O7 single crystals. A phase separation and phase transitions were observed from the ESR spectra data. Between 350 K and 300 K, both paramagnetic resonance (PMR) and anisotropic ferromagnetic resonance (FMR) lines were observed in the ab plane and the c axis direction, suggesting a coexistence of the paramagnetic (PM) phase and the ferromagnetic (FM) phase. The magnetization measurement reveals a spin-glass-like behavior in single-crystal (Lao.8Euo.2)4/3 Sr5/3Mn2O7 below the temperature of spin freezing Tf (- 29.5 K).  相似文献
