In this paper, we prove some uniqueness theorems of entire functions and their derivatives that share an entire of function whose order is less than their order. The results in this paper improve those given by G. G. Gundersen and L. Z. Yang, J. P. Wang, J. M. Chang, and Y. Z. Zhu, X. M. Li and H. X. Yi, and others. Some examples are provided to show that the results in this paper are the best possible.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the uniqueness problems on entire functions sharing one value with the same multiplicities. We generalize and unify some previous results of Fang and Hua [M.L. Fang, X.H. Hua, Entire functions that share one value, J. Nanjing Univ. Math. Biquarterly 13 (1) (1996) 44-48], Yang and Hua [C.C. Yang, X.H. Hua, Uniqueness and value-sharing of meromorphic functions, Ann. Acad. Sci. Fenn. Math. 22 (2) (1997) 395-406] and Fang [M.L. Fang, Uniqueness and value-sharing of entire functions, Comput. Math. Appl. 44 (2002) 828-831].  相似文献

In [H. Brézis, A. Friedman, Nonlinear parabolic equations involving measures as initial conditions, J. Math. Pure Appl. (9) (1983) 73–97.] Brézis and Friedman prove that certain nonlinear parabolic equations, with the δ-measure as initial data, have no solution. However in [J.F. Colombeau, M. Langlais, Generalized solutions of nonlinear parabolic equations with distributions as initial conditions, J. Math. Anal. Appl (1990) 186–196.] Colombeau and Langlais prove that these equations have a unique solution even if the δ-measure is substituted by any Colombeau generalized function of compact support. Here we generalize Colombeau and Langlais’ result proving that we may take any generalized function as the initial data. Our approach relies on recent algebraic and topological developments of the theory of Colombeau generalized functions and results from [J. Aragona, Colombeau generalized functions on quasi-regular sets, Publ. Math. Debrecen (2006) 371–399.].  相似文献

In this paper, we deal with the value distribution of difference products of entire functions, and present some result on two difference products of entire functions sharing one value with the same multiplicities. The research findings also include an analogue for shift of a well-known conjecture by Brück. Our theorems improve the results of I. Laine and C.C. Yang [I. Laine, C.C. Yang, Value distribution of difference polynomials, Proc. Japan Acad. Ser. A Math. Sci. 83 (2007) 148-151], K. Liu and L.Z. Yang [K. Liu, L.Z. Yang, Value distribution of the difference operator, Arch. Math. 92 (2009) 270-278], and J. Heittokangas et al. [J. Heittokangas, R. Korhonen, I. Laine, J. Rieppo, J.L. Zhang, Value sharing results for shifts of meromorphic function, and sufficient conditions for periodicity, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 355 (2009) 352-363]. Moreover, we show by illustrating a number of examples that our results are best possible in certain senses.  相似文献

We first extend the concept of almost convex condition and establish a fixed point theorem for correspondences with convex values only on an almost convex subset for their ranges. This generalizes both results of Himmelberg [C.J. Himmelberg, Fixed points of compact multifunctions, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 38 (1972) 205–207] and the result of Jafari and Sehgal [F. Jafari, V.M. Sehgal, An extension to a theorem of Himmelberg, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 327 (2007) 298–301]. Furthermore, applying it, we have existence theorems for equilibria of noncompact abstract economies in general almost convex strategy spaces. Our theorems generalize the corresponding results of Zhou [Jianxin Zhou, On the existence of equilibrium for abstract economies, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 193 (1995) 839–858], Tan and Wu [K.-K. Tan, Z. Wu, A note on abstract economies with upper semicontinuous correspondence, Appl. Math. Lett. 11 (5) (1998) 21–22] in several ways. In particular, we answer the question raised by Zhou in the reference cited above in the affirmative with weaker hypotheses.  相似文献

In this paper, we study a problem of meromorphic functions that share an arbitrary set having three elements with their derivatives. A uniqueness result is derived which is an improvement of some related theorems given by Fang and Zalcman (J. Math. Anal. Appl. 280 (2003), 273–283) and Chang, Fang, and Zalcman (Arch. Math. 89 (2007), 561–569). As an application, we generalize the famous Brück conjecture with the idea of sharing a set.  相似文献

In Refs. [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 258:287–308, [2001]; J. Math. Anal. Appl. 256:229–241, [2001]], Yang and Li presented a characterization of preinvex functions and semistrictly preinvex functions under a certain set of conditions. In this note, we show that the same results or even more general ones can be obtained under weaker assumptions; we also give a characterization of strictly preinvex functions under mild conditions. Summary For a function f, analytic in z < 1, the notions of generalized orders are introduced that are specially suited for the study of the growth of f, if it is of slow growth. The characterizations of the generalized orders are found in terms of the coefficients in the Taylor series development of f. A decomposition theorem is proved for functions of hirregular growth. The results of the present paper generalize the results in [G. P. Kapoor - K. Gopal, J. Math. Anal. Appl., 74 (1980), pp. 446–455].  相似文献

In a previous paper M.P. Chen, Z.-R. Wu and Z.-Z. Zou [M.P. Chen, Z.-R. Wu, Z.-Z. Zou, On functions α-starlike with respect to symmetric conjugate points, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 201 (1996) 25-34] developed a method, using some operators, to deal with functions analytic and starlike with respect to symmetric conjugate points in the unit disc. Then, the same method is employed to functions meromorphic by Z.Z. Zou and Z.-R. Wu [Zhong Zhu Zou, Zhuo-Ren Wu, On meromorphically starlike functions and functions meromorphically starlike with respect to symmetric conjugate points, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 261 (2001) 17-27]. Now, the method can be employed to functions meromorphic harmonic in the punctured disc 0<|z|<1. Sufficient optimality conditions are obtained for a nonlinear multiple objective fractional programming problem involving η-semidifferentiable type I-preinvex and related functions. Furthermore, a general dual is formulated and duality results are proved under the assumptions of generalized semilocally type I-preinvex and related functions. We introduce a directionally sensitive time–frequency decomposition and representation of functions. The coefficients of this representation allow us to measure the “amount” of frequency a function (signal, image) contains in a certain time interval, and also in a certain direction. This has been previously achieved using a version of wavelets called ridgelets [E.J. Candès, Harmonic analysis of neural networks, Appl. Comput. Harmon. Anal. 6 (1999) 197–218. [2]; E.J. Candès, D.L. Donoho, New tight frames of curvelets and optimal representations of objects with piesewise-C2 singularities, Comm. Pure Appl. Math. 57 (2004) 219–266. [3]] but in this work we discuss an approach based on time–frequency or Gabor elements. For such elements, a Parseval formula and a continuous frame-type representation together with boundedness properties of a semi-discrete frame operator are obtained. Spaces of functions tailored to measure quantitative properties of the time–frequency–direction analysis coefficients are introduced and some of their basic properties are discussed. Applications to image processing and medical imaging are presented.  相似文献

Investigations concerning the existence of dynamic processes convergent to fixed points of set-valued nonlinear contractions in cone metric spaces are initiated. The conditions guaranteeing the existence and uniqueness of fixed points of such contractions are established. Our theorems generalize recent results obtained by Huang and Zhang [L.-G. Huang, X. Zhang, Cone metric spaces and fixed point theorems of contractive maps, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 332 (2007) 1467–1475] for cone metric spaces and by Klim and Wardowski [D. Klim, D. Wardowski, Fixed point theorems for set-valued contractions in complete metric spaces, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 334 (1) (2007) 132–139] for metric spaces. The examples and remarks provided show an essential difference between our results and those mentioned above.  相似文献

By using the generalized f-projection operator, the existence theorem of solutions for the general implicit variational inequality GIVI(T-ξ,K) is proved without assuming the monotonicity of operators in reflexive and smooth Banach space. An iterative algorithm for approximating solution of the general implicit variational inequality is suggested also, and the convergence for this iterative scheme is shown. These theorems extend the corresponding results of Wu and Huang [K.Q. Wu, N.J. Huang, Comput. Math. Appl. 54 (2007) 399–406], Wu and Huang [K.Q. Wu, N.J. Huang, Bull. Austral. Math. Construction of biorthogonal wavelets from pseudo-splines   总被引:4,自引:0,他引:4  
Pseudo-splines constitute a new class of refinable functions with B-splines, interpolatory refinable functions and refinable functions with orthonormal shifts as special examples. Pseudo-splines were first introduced by Daubechies, Han, Ron and Shen in [Framelets: MRA-based constructions of wavelet frames, Appl. Comput. Harmon. Anal. 14(1) (2003), 1–46] and Selenick in [Smooth wavelet tight frames with zero moments, Appl. Comput. Harmon. Anal. 10(2) (2001) 163–181], and their properties were extensively studied by Dong and Shen in [Pseudo-splines, wavelets and framelets, 2004, preprint]. It was further shown by Dong and Shen in [Linear independence of pseudo-splines, Proc. Amer. Math. Soc., to appear] that the shifts of an arbitrarily given pseudo-spline are linearly independent. This implies the existence of biorthogonal dual refinable functions (of pseudo-splines) with an arbitrarily prescribed regularity. However, except for B-splines, there is no explicit construction of biorthogonal dual refinable functions with any given regularity. This paper focuses on an implementable scheme to derive a dual refinable function with a prescribed regularity. This automatically gives a construction of smooth biorthogonal Riesz wavelets with one of them being a pseudo-spline. As an example, an explicit formula of biorthogonal dual refinable functions of the interpolatory refinable function is given.  相似文献

Shen, Pseudo-splines, wavelets and framelets, Appl. Comput. Harmon. Anal. 22 (2007) 78–104]. Both types of pseudo-splines provide a rich family of refinable functions with B-splines, interpolatory refinable functions and refinable functions with orthonormal shifts as special examples. In [B. Dong, Z. Shen, Pseudo-splines, wavelets and framelets, Appl. Comput. Harmon. Anal. 22 (2007) 78–104], Dong and Shen gave a regularity analysis of pseudo-splines of both types. The key to regularity analysis is Proposition 3.2 in [B. Dong, Z. Shen, Pseudo-splines, wavelets and framelets, Appl. Comput. Harmon. Anal. 22 (2007) 78–104], which also appeared in [A. Cohen, J.P. Conze, Régularité des bases d'ondelettes et mesures ergodiques, Rev. Mat. Iberoamericana 8 (1992) 351–365] and [I. Daubechies, Ten Lectures on Wavelets, CBMS-NSF Series in Applied Mathematics, SIAM, Philadelphia, 1992] for the case l=N−1. In this note, we will give a new insight into this proposition.  相似文献
