Abstract

Integrals in Hopf algebras are an essential tool in studying finite dimensional Hopf algebras and their action on rings. Over fields it has been shown by Sweedler that the existence of integrals in a Hopf algebra is equivalent to the Hopf algebra being finite dimensional. In this paper we examine how much of this is true Hopf algebras over rings. We show that over any commutative ring R that is not a field there exists a Hopf algebra H over R containing a non-zero integral but not being finitely generated as R-module. On the contrary we show that Sweedler's equivalence is still valid for free Hopf algebras or projective Hopf algebras over integral domains. Analogously for a left H-module algebra A we study the influence of non-zero left A#H-linear maps from A to A#H on H being finitely generated as R-module. Examples and application to separability are given.  相似文献

The paper is concerned with the semisimplicity of smash products of quasitriangular weak Hopf algebras. Let (H,R) be a finite dimensional quasitriangular weak Hopf algebra over a field k and A any semisimple and quantum commutative weak H-module algebra. Based on the work of Nikshych et al. (Topol. Appl. 127(1–2):91–123, 2003), we give Maschke’s theorem for smash products of quasitriangular weak Hopf algebras, stating that A#H is semisimple if and only if A is a projective left A#H-module, which extends the Theorem 3.2 given in Yang and Wang (Commun. Algebra 27(3):1165–1170, 1999).  相似文献

We continue studying properties of semisimple Hopf algebras H over algebraically closed fields of characteristic 0 resulting from their generalized character tables. We show that the generalized character table of H reflects normal left coideal subalgebras of H. These are the Hopf analogues of normal subgroups in the sense that they arise from Hopf quotients. We apply these ideas to prove Hopf analogues of known results in group theory. Among the rest we prove that columns of the character table are orthogonal and that all entries are algebraic integers. We analyze ‘semi-kernels’ and their relations to the character table. We prove a full analogue of the Burnside–Brauer theorem for almost cocommutative H. We also prove the Hopf algebras analogue of the following (Burnside) theorem: If G is a non-abelian simple group then {1} is the only conjugacy class of G which has prime power order.  相似文献

We obtain the structure theorem for $(H, \mathcal{H})$ -Hopf bimodules over Hopf algebroids, where H is the total algebra of the Hopf algebroid  $\mathcal{H}$ . Based on this theorem, we investigate the structure theorem for comodule algebras over Hopf algebroids.  相似文献

This paper contributes to the classification problems of finite dimensional Hopf algebras H over an algebraically closed field k of characteristic zero. It is shown that for a non-semisimple Hopf algebra H of dimension 18 either H or H* is pointed.  相似文献

We study the quasitriangular structures for a family of pointed Hopf algebras which is big enough to include Taft's Hopf algebras H n 2, Radford's Hopf algebras H N,n,q, and E(n). We give necessary and sufficient conditions for the Hopf algebras in our family to be quasitriangular. For the case when they are, we determine completely all the quasitriangular structures. Also, we determine the ribbon elements of the quasitriangular Hopf algebras and the quasi-ribbon elements of their Drinfel'd double.  相似文献

Let H be a Hopf algebra with a finite-dimensional, nontrivial space of skew primitive elements, over an algebraically closed field of characteristic zero. We prove that H contains either the polynomial algebra as a Hopf subalgebra, or a certain Schurian simple-pointed Hopf subalgebra. As a consequence, a complete list of the locally finite, simple-pointed Hopf algebras is obtained. Also, the graded automorphism group of a Hopf algebra on a Schurian Hopf quiver is determined, and the relation between this group and the automorphism groups of the corresponding Hopf quiver, is clarified.  相似文献

We give the necessary and sufficient conditions for a family of Brzezínski crossed product algebras with suitable comultiplication and counit to be a Hopf π-coalgebra. On the other hand, necessary and sufficient conditions for the Brzeziński π-crossed product A?H to be a coquasitriangular Hopf π-coalgebra are derived, then the category A?H ? of the left π-comodules over A?H is braided.  相似文献

Basic Hopf algebras and quantum groups   总被引:10,自引:0,他引:10
This paper investigates the structure of basic finite dimensional Hopf algebras H over an algebraically closed field k. The algebra H is basic provided H modulo its Jacobson radical is a product of the field k. In this case H is isomorphic to a path algebra given by a finite quiver with relations. Necessary conditions on the quiver and on the coalgebra structure are found. In particular, it is shown that only the quivers given in terms of a finite group G and sequence of elements of G in the following way can occur. The quiver has vertices and arrows , where the set is closed under conjugation with elements in G and for each g in G, the sequences W and are the same up to a permutation. We show how is a kG-bimodule and study properties of the left and right actions of G on the path algebra. Furthermore, it is shown that the conditions we find can be used to give the path algebras themselves a Hopf algebra structure (for an arbitrary field k). The results are also translated into the language of coverings. Finally, a new class of finite dimensional basic Hopf algebras are constructed over a not necessarily algebraically closed field, most of which are quantum groups. The construction is not characteristic free. All the quivers , where the elements of W generates an abelian subgroup of G, are shown to occur for finite dimensional Hopf algebras. The existence of such algebras is shown by explicit construction. For closely related results of Cibils and Rosso see [Ci-R]. Received August 15, 1994; in final form May 16, 1997  相似文献

We prove a version of the Frobenius–Schur theorem for a finite-dimensional semisimple Hopf algebra H over an algebraically closed field; if the field has characteristic p not 0, H is also assumed to be cosemisimple. Then for each irreducible representation V of H, we define a Schur indicator for V, which reduces to the classical Schur indicator when H is the group algebra of a finite group. We prove that this indicator is 0 if and only if V is not self-dual. If V is self dual, then the indicator is positive (respectively, negative) if and only if V admits a nondegenerate bilinear symmetric (resp., skew-symmetric) H-invariant form. A more general result is proved for algebras with involution.  相似文献

Principal homogeneous spaces for arbitrary Hopf algebras   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2
LetH be a Hopf algebra over a field with bijective antipode,A a rightH-comodule algebra,B the subalgebra ofH-coinvariant elements and can:A B AAH the canonical map. ThenA is a faithfully flat (as left or rightB-module) Hopf Galois extension iffA is coflat asH-comodule and can is surjective (Theorem I). This generalizes results on affine quotients of affine schemes by Oberst and Cline, Parshall and Scott to the case of non-commutative algebras. The dual of Theorem I holds and generalizes results of Gabriel on quotients of formal schemes to the case of non-cocommutative coalgebras (Theorem II). Furthermore, in the dual situation, a normal basis theorem is proved (Theorem III) generalizing results of Oberst-Schneider, Radford and Takeuchi.  相似文献

We prove that a Hopf algebra with a finite coradical filtration is co-Frobenius. We also characterize co-Frobenius Hopf algebras with coradical a Hopf subalgebra. Let H be a Hopf algebra whose coradical is a Hopf algebra. Let gr H be the associated graded coalgebra and let R be the diagram of H, c. f. [2]. Then the following are equivalent: (1) H is co-Frobenius; (2) gr H is co-Frobenius; (3) R is finite dimensional; (4) the coradical filtration of H is finite. This Theorem allows us to give systematically examples of co-Frobenius Hopf algebras, and opens the way to the classification of ample classes of such Hopf algebras. The group of Hopf algebra automorphisms for a finite-dimensional semisimple cosemisimple Hopf algebra over a field k was considered by Radford and Waterhouse. In this paper, the groups of Hopf algebra automorphisms for two classes of pointed Hopf algebras are determined. Note that the Hopf algebras we consider are not semisimple Hopf algebras.   相似文献

This article mainly gives the structure theorem of weak comodule algebras, that is, assume that H is a weak Hopf algebra, and B a weak right H-comodule algebra, if there exists a morphism φ: H → B of a weak right H-comodule algebras, then there exists an algebra isomorphism: B ? B coH #H, where B coH denotes the coinvariant subalgebra of B, and B coH #H denotes the weak smash product.  相似文献

In this article we first study an equivariant cyclic cohomology for weak H-module agebras over a weak Hopf algebra H with a bijective antipode. Then we define an equivariant K-theory for weak quantum Yetter–Drinfeld algebras over H and establish a generalized Connes' pairing between the equivariant cyclic cohomology and the equivariant K-theory. As an application we consider our theory for groupoids.  相似文献
