On maximal injective subalgebras in a wΓ factor

Let L(FQ) ×α Z be the crossed product von Neumann algebra of the free group factor L(FQ), associated with the left regular representation λ of the free group FQ with the set {ur : r ∈ Q} of generators, by an automorphism α defined by α(λ(ur)) = exp(2πri)λ(ur), where Q is the rational number set. We show that L(FQ) ×α Z is a wΓ factor, and for each r ∈ Q, the von Neumann subalgebra Ar generated in L(FQ) ×α Z by λ(ur) and v is maximal injective, where v is the unitary implementing the automorphism α. The characterization of a class of quantum Markov semigroups and the associated operator-valued Dirichlet forms based on Hilbert W*-module

In this paper, we introduce the concept of operator-valued quadratic form based on Hilbert W*-module l2 A, and give a one to one correspondence between the set of positive self-adjoint regular module operators on l2A and the set of regular quadratic forms, where A is a finite and σ-finite von Neumann algebra. Furthermore, we obtain that a strict continuous symmetric regular module operator semigroup {Tt }t∈R + L(l2A) is Markovian if and only if the associated A-valued quadratic form is a Dirichlet form, where L(l2A) is the von Neumann algebra of all adjointable module maps on l2A.     

Reduced Crossed Products of Pro-Banach Algebras*

This paper gives the concept of the reduced pro-Banach algebra crossed product associated with inversely pro-Banach algebra dynamical system, and shows that the reduced crossed product is an inverse limit of an inverse system of Banach algebra crossed products. Also, the authors show that if the locally compact group is amenable, then the crossed product and the reduced crossed product are isometrically isomorphic.     

Derived representation type and Gorenstein projective modules of an algebra under crossed product

Let H and its dual H* be finite dimensional semisimple Hopf algebras. In this paper, we firstly prove that the derived representation types of an algebra A and the crossed product algebra A#σH are coincident. This is an improvement of the conclusion about representation type of an algebra in Li and Zhang [Sci China Ser A, 2006, 50: 1-13]. Secondly, we give the relationship between Gorenstein projective modules over A and that over A#σH. Then, using this result, it is proven that A is a finite dimensional CM-finite Gorenstein algebra if and only if so is A#σH.     

Banach Algebra Dynamical Systems

This paper generalizes the C*-dynamical system to the Banach algebra dynamical system(A,G,α)and define the crossed product A α G of a given Banach algebra dynamical system(A,G,α).Then the representation of A α G is described when A admits a bounded left approximate identity.In a natural way,the authors define the reduced crossed product A α,r G and discuss the question when A α G coincides with A α,r G.     

Similarity degrees for the crossed product of von Neumann algebras

In this paper, we will estimate an upper bound for the similarity degree of the crossed product of a hyperfinite finite von Neumann algebra by weakly compact action of an infinite discrete group. We will also improve some upper bounds for similarity degrees of some finite von Neumann algebras.     

群在von Neumann代数上作用的自由和遍历性注记

本文研究了群在von Neumann代数上作用的自由性和遍历性问题.利用投影和群SL2(R)的Iwasawa分解,得到了可数离散群在交换von Neumann代数上作用的自由性的等价刻画,证明了SL2(R)在上半平面H上有理作用导出的SL2(R)在极大交换von Neumann代数A={Mf:f∈L2(H,dxdy/y2)}上的作用α是遍历的,但不是自由的.

The pressure in operator algebras

We introduce two notions of the pressure in operator algebras, one is the pressure Pα（π, T） for an automorphism α of a unital exact C^＊-algebra A at a self-adjoint element T in A with respect to a faithful unital ＊-representation π the other is the pressure Pτ,α（T） for an automorphism α of a hyperfinite von Neumann algebra M at a self-adjoint element T in M with respect to a faithful normal α-invariant state τ. We give some properties of the pressure, show that it is a conjugate invaxiant, and also prove that the pressure of the implementing inner automorphism of a crossed product A×α Z at a self-adjoint operator T in A equals that of α at T.     

Analytic Toeplitz algebras and the Hilbert transform associated with a subdiagonal algebra

Let M be aσ-finite von Neumann algebra and let AM be a maximal subdiagonal algebra with respect to a faithful normal conditional expectationΦ.Based on the Haagerup’s noncommutative Lpspace Lp(M)associated with M,we consider Toeplitz operators and the Hilbert transform associated with A.We prove that the commutant of left analytic Toeplitz algebra on noncommutative Hardy space H2(M)is just the right analytic Toeplitz algebra.Furthermore,the Hilbert transform on noncommutative Lp(M)is shown to be bounded for 1p∞.As an application,we consider a noncommutative analog of the space BMO and identify the dual space of noncommutative H1(M)as a concrete space of operators.

Let H be a finite dimensional cocommutative Hopf algebra and A an H-module algebra, ln this paper, we characterize the projectivity (injectivity) of M as a left A#σ H-module when it is projective (injective) as a left A-module. The sufficient and necessary condition for A#σ H, the crossed product, to have finite global homological dimension is given, in terms of the global homological dimension of A and the surjectivity of trace maps, provided that H is cocommutative and A is commutative.     

On the properties of some sets of von Neumann algebras under perturbation

Let L be a type II1 factor with separable predual and τ be a normal faithful tracial state of L. We first show that the set of subfactors of L with property Γ, the set of type II1 subfactors of L with similarity property and the set of all Mc Duff subfactors of L are open and closed in the Hausdorff metric d2 induced by the trace norm; then we show that the set of all hyperfinite von Neumann subalgebras of L is closed in d2. We also consider the connection of perturbation of operator algebras under d2 with the fundamental group and the generator problem of type II1 factors. When M is a finite von Neumann algebra with a normal faithful trace,the set of all von Neumann subalgebras B of M such that B  M is rigid is closed in the Hausdorff metric d2.     

Crossed Products over Weak Hopf Algebras Related to Cleft Extensions and Cohomology

The authors present the general theory of cleft extensions for a cocommutative weak Hopf algebra H.For a right H-comodule algebra,they obtain a bijective correspondence between the isomorphisms classes of H-cleft extensions AH → A,where AH is the subalgebra of coinvariants,and the equivalence classes of crossed systems for H over AH.Finally,they establish a bijection between the set of equivalence classes of crossed systems with a fixed weak H-module algebra structure and the second cohomology group HφZ(AH)2(H,Z(AH)),where Z(AH)is the center of AH.     

On the classification of compact quantum groups U_θ(2)

In this paper,we show that the corepresentation of compact group Uθ(2) on the vector space is determined by its infinitesimal generators B0,B2,A0,A1 and A2,where θ is an irrational number.We also show that B0 and B2 commute with Aj,j = 0,1,2,so B0,A0,A1 and A2 are sl(2,C) loop algebra.Then we exhibit all irreducible representations of Uθ(2),which are different from those of group U(2),and use above results to give the classification of quantum groups Uθ(2),which is analogous to that of irrational algebra Aθ.At the same time,we also give all the forms of automorphisms on quantum group Uθ(2).     

Co cycle Perturbation on Banach Algebras

Letαbe a flow on a Banach algebra(?),and t(?)u_t a continuous function from Rt into the group of invertible elements of(?)such that u_sα_s(u_t)=u_s+t,s,t∈R.Thenβ_t=Adu_t oα_t,t∈R is also a flow on(?),where Adu_t(B)(?)u_tBu_t~(-1)for any B∈(?).βis said to be a cocycle perturbation ofα.We show that ifα,βare two flows on a nest algebra(or quasi-triangular algebra),thenβis a cocycle perturbation ofα.And the flows on a nest algebra(or quasi-triangular algebra)are all uniformly continuous.     

Irreducible Wakimoto-like Modules for the Lie Superalgebra D(2,1;α)

By using the idea of Wakimoto's free field,we construct a class of representations for the Lie superalgebra D(2,1;α) on the tensor product of a polynomial algebra and an exterior algebra involving one parameter λ.Then we obtain the necessary and sufficient condition for the representations to be irreducible.In fact,the representation is irreducible if and only if the parameter λ satisfies(λ + m)(λ-(1+α)/αm) = 0 for any m∈Z_+.

TOEPLITZ OPERATORS ASSOCIATED WITH SEMIFINITE VON NEUMANN ALGEBRA

Let H2(M) be a noncommutative Hardy space associated with semifinite von Neumann algebra M, we get the connection between numerical spectrum and the spectrum of Toeplitz operator Tt acting on H2(M), and the norm of Toeplitz operator Tt is equivalent to ||t|| when t is hyponormal operator in M.
