Let H be a weak Hopf algebra in the sense of Böhm et al. (J Algebra 221:385–438, 1999) measuring an algebra A. Let A# σ H be a weak crossed product with σ invertible. Then in this paper we first give some conditions for A# σ H to be a weak Hopf algebra. Next the spectral sequence for Ext will be constructed which yields an estimate for the global dimension of A# σ H in terms of the corresponding data for H and A. Furthermore, we will investigate when A???A# σ H becomes a separable extension. Finally, we prove that if H and its dual H* are both semisimple, then the finitistic dimension of A# σ H is equal to that of A.  相似文献

Let H be a finite-dimensional Hopf algebra, let A be a finite-dimensional algebra measured by H, and let A # σ H be a crossed product. In this paper, we first show that if H is semisimple as well as its dual H*, then the complexity of A # σ H is equal to that of A. Furthermore, we prove that the complexity of a finite-dimensional Hopf algebra H is equal to the complexity of the trivial module H k. As an application, we prove that the complexity of Sweedler’s 4-dimensional Hopf algebra H 4 is equal to 1.  相似文献

Abstract

Integrals in Hopf algebras are an essential tool in studying finite dimensional Hopf algebras and their action on rings. Over fields it has been shown by Sweedler that the existence of integrals in a Hopf algebra is equivalent to the Hopf algebra being finite dimensional. In this paper we examine how much of this is true Hopf algebras over rings. We show that over any commutative ring R that is not a field there exists a Hopf algebra H over R containing a non-zero integral but not being finitely generated as R-module. On the contrary we show that Sweedler's equivalence is still valid for free Hopf algebras or projective Hopf algebras over integral domains. Analogously for a left H-module algebra A we study the influence of non-zero left A#H-linear maps from A to A#H on H being finitely generated as R-module. Examples and application to separability are given.  相似文献

In this paper, we show that if H is a finite-dimensional Hopf algebra such that H and H^* are semisimple, then gl.dim(A#σH)=gl.dim(A), where a is a convolution invertible cocycle. We also discuss the relationship of global dimensions between the crossed product A^#σH and the algebra A, where A is coacted by H. Dually, we give a sufficient condition for a finite dimensional coalgebra C and a finite dimensional semisimple Hopf algebra H such that gl.dim(C α H)=gl.dim(C).  相似文献

Let H be a twisted Calabi–Yau (CY) Hopf algebra and σ a 2-cocycle on H. Let A be an N-Koszul twisted CY algebra such that A is a graded Hσ- module algebra. We show that the cleft extension A#σH is also a twisted CY algebra. This result has two consequences. Firstly, the smash product of an N-Koszul twisted CY algebra with a twisted CY Hopf algebra is still a twisted CY algebra. Secondly, the cleft objects of a twisted CY Hopf algebra are all twisted CY algebras. As an application of this property, we determine which cleft objects of U(D, λ), a class of pointed Hopf algebras introduced by Andruskiewitsch and Schneider, are Calabi–Yau algebras.  相似文献

The paper is concerned with the semisimplicity of smash products of quasitriangular weak Hopf algebras. Let (H,R) be a finite dimensional quasitriangular weak Hopf algebra over a field k and A any semisimple and quantum commutative weak H-module algebra. Based on the work of Nikshych et al. (Topol. Appl. 127(1–2):91–123, 2003), we give Maschke’s theorem for smash products of quasitriangular weak Hopf algebras, stating that A#H is semisimple if and only if A is a projective left A#H-module, which extends the Theorem 3.2 given in Yang and Wang (Commun. Algebra 27(3):1165–1170, 1999).  相似文献

Let A be a finite dimensional algebra over an algebraically closed field with the radical nilpotent of index 2. It is shown that A has finitely many conjugacy classes of left ideals if and only if A is of finite representation type provided that all simple A-modules have dimension at least 6.  相似文献

Auslander’s representation dimension measures how far a finite dimensional algebra is away from being of finite representation type. In [1], M. Auslander proved that a finite dimensional algebra A is of finite representation type if and only if the representation dimension of A is at most 2. Recently, R. Rouquier proved that there are finite dimensional algebras of an arbitrarily large finite representation dimension. One of the exciting open problems is to show that all finite dimensional algebras of tame representation type have representation dimension at most 3. We prove that this is true for all domestic weakly symmetric algebras over algebraically closed fields having simply connected Galois coverings.  相似文献

Let p be a prime, and let RG(p) denote the set of equivalence classes of radically graded finite dimensional quasi-Hopf algebras over C, whose radical has codimension p. The purpose of this paper is to classify finite dimensional quasi-Hopf algebras A whose radical is a quasi-Hopf ideal and has codimension p; that is, A with gr(A) in RG(p), where gr(A) is the associated graded algebra taken with respect to the radical filtration on A. The main result of this paper is the following theorem: Let A be a finite dimensional quasi-Hopf algebra whose radical is a quasi-Hopf ideal of prime codimension p. Then either A is twist equivalent to a Hopf algebra, or it is twist equivalent to H(2), H±(p), A(q), or H(32), constructed in [5] and [8]. Note that any finite tensor category whose simple objects are invertible and form a group of order p under tensor is the representation category of a quasi-Hopf algebra A as above. Thus this paper provides a classification of such categories.  相似文献

Let H be a finite-dimensional Hopf algebra over a field k, and A a left $H\mbox{-}$ module $k\mbox{-}$ algebra. We show that A#H is a CM-finite algebra if and only if A is a CM-finite algebra preserving global dimension of their relative Auslander algebras when A/A H is an $H^{*}\mbox{-}$ Galois extension and A#H/A is separable. As application, we describe all the finitely-generated Gorenstein-projective modules over a triangular matrix artin algebra $\Lambda=\left(\begin{smallmatrix} A^{H}& A\\ 0&A\#H \end{smallmatrix}\right)$ , and obtain a criteria for Λ being Gorenstein. We also show that Hopf extensions can induce recollements between categories $A\#H\mbox{-}{\rm Mod}$ and $A^{H}\mbox{-}{\rm Mod}$ .  相似文献

If H is a finite dimensional quasi-Hopf algebra and A is a left H-module algebra, we show that there is a Morita context connecting the smash product A#H and the subalgebra of invariants A H . We define also Galois extensions and prove the connection with this Morita context, as in the Hopf case.  相似文献

Let H be a semisimple (so, finite dimensional) Hopf algebra over an algebraically closed field k of characteristic zero and let A be a commutative domain over k. We show that if A arises as an H-module algebra via an inner faithful H-action, then H must be a group algebra. This answers a question of E. Kirkman and J. Kuzmanovich and partially answers a question of M. Cohen.  相似文献

In this paper we construct a linear space that parameterizes all invariant bilinear forms on a given vertex algebra with values in a arbitrary vector space. Also we prove that every invariant bilinear form on a vertex algebra is symmetric. This is a generalization of the result of Li (J. Pure Appl. Algebra 96(3) (1994) 279), who proved this for the case when the vertex algebra is non-negatively graded and has finite dimensional homogeneous components. As an application, we introduce a notion of a radical of a vertex algebra. We prove that a radical-free vertex algebra A is non-negatively graded, and its component A0 of degree 0 is a commutative associative algebra, so that all structural maps and operations on A are A0-linear. We also show that in this case A is simple if and only if A0 is a field.  相似文献

Let A be a commutative k-algebra, where k is an algebraically closed field of characteristic 0, and let M be an A-module. We consider the following question: Under what conditions is it possible to find a connection on M?We consider the maximal Cohen-Macaulay (MCM) modules over complete CM algebras that are isolated singularities, and usually assume that the singularities have finite CM representation type. It is known that any MCM module over a simple singularity of dimension d≤2 admits an integrable connection. We prove that an MCM module over a simple singularity of dimension d≥3 admits a connection if and only if it is free. Among singularities of finite CM representation type, we find examples of curves with MCM modules that do not admit connections, and threefolds with non-free MCM modules that admit connections.Let A be a singularity not necessarily of finite CM representation type, and consider the condition that A is a Gorenstein curve or a -Gorenstein singularity of dimension d≥2. We show that this condition is sufficient for the canonical module ωA to admit an integrable connection, and conjecture that it is also necessary. In support of the conjecture, we show that if A is a monomial curve singularity, then the canonical module ωA admits an integrable connection if and only if A is Gorenstein.  相似文献

We say that an algebra A is periodic if it has a periodic projective resolution as an (A,A)-bimodule. We show that any self-injective algebra of finite representation type is periodic. To prove this, we first apply the theory of smash products to show that for a finite Galois covering BA, B is periodic if and only if A is. In addition, when A has finite representation type, we build upon results of Buchweitz to show that periodicity passes between A and its stable Auslander algebra. Finally, we use Asashiba’s classification of the derived equivalence classes of self-injective algebras of finite type to compute bounds for the periods of these algebras, and give an application to stable Calabi-Yau dimensions.  相似文献

When the base connected cochain DG algebra is cohomologically bounded, it is proved that the difference between the amplitude of a compact DG module and that of the DG algebra is just the projective dimension of that module. This yields the unboundedness of the cohomology of non-trivial regular DG algebras. When A is a regular DG algebra such that H(A) is a Koszul graded algebra, H(A) is proved to have the finite global dimension. And we give an example to illustrate that the global dimension of H(A) may be infinite, if the condition that H(A) is Koszul is weakened to the condition that A is a Koszul DG algebra. For a general regular DG algebra A, we give some equivalent conditions for the Gorensteiness. For a finite connected DG algebra A, we prove that Dc(A) and Dc(A op) admit Auslander-Reiten triangles if and only if A and A op are Gorenstein DG algebras. When A is a non-trivial regular DG algebra such that H(A) is locally finite, Dc(A) does not admit Auslander-Reiten triangles. We turn to study the existence of Auslander-Reiten triangles in Dlfb(A) and Dlfb (A op) instead, when A is a regular DG algebra. An artin algebra A is said to be CM-finite if there are only finitely many, up to isomorphisms, indecomposable finitely generated Gorenstein-projective A-modules. We prove that for a Gorenstein artin algebra, it is CM-finite if and only if every its Gorenstein-projective module is a direct sum of finitely generated Gorenstein-projective modules. This is an analogue of Auslander's theorem on algebras of finite representation type [M. Auslander, A functorial approach to representation theory, in: Representations of Algebras, Workshop Notes of the Third Internat. Conference, in: Lecture Notes in Math., vol. 944, Springer-Verlag, Berlin, 1982, pp. 105-179; M. Auslander, Representation theory of artin algebras II, Comm. Algebra (1974) 269-310].  相似文献

Let T be a Hochschild extension algebra of a finite dimensional algebra A over a field K by the standard duality A-bimodule HomK(A, K). In this paper, we determine the ordinary quiver of T if A is a self-injective Nakayama algebra by means of the ?-graded second Hochschild homology group HH2(A) in the sense of Sköldberg.  相似文献

We introduce notions of absolutely continuous functionals and representations on the non-commutative disk algebra An. Absolutely continuous functionals are used to help identify the type L part of the free semigroup algebra associated to a *-extendible representation σ. A *-extendible representation of An is regular if the absolutely continuous part coincides with the type L part. All known examples are regular. Absolutely continuous functionals are intimately related to maps which intertwine a given *-extendible representation with the left regular representation. A simple application of these ideas extends reflexivity and hyper-reflexivity results. Moreover the use of absolute continuity is a crucial device for establishing a density theorem which states that the unit ball of σ(An) is weak-* dense in the unit ball of the associated free semigroup algebra if and only if σ is regular. We provide some explicit constructions related to the density theorem for specific representations. A notion of singular functionals is also defined, and every functional decomposes in a canonical way into the sum of its absolutely continuous and singular parts.  相似文献

We define the Hecke von Neumann algebra L(G,H,σ) associated with a group G, a subgroup H and a unitary representation σ of H. We show that when σ is finite dimensional, L(G,H,σ) can be seen as a corner algebra of the tensor product of the group von Neumann algebra of a locally compact group and a matrix algebra.
