A space-time fractional advection-dispersion equation (ADE) is a generalization of the classical ADE in which the first-order time derivative is replaced with Caputo derivative of order α ∈ (0, 1], and the second-order space derivative is replaced with a Riesz-Feller derivative of order β ∈ (0, 2]. We derive the solution of its Cauchy problem in terms of the Green functions and the representations of the Green function by applying its Fourier-Laplace transforms. The Green function also can be interpreted as a spatial probability density function (pdf) evolving in time. We do the same on another kind of space-time fractional advection-dispersion equation whose space and time derivatives both replacing with Caputo derivatives.  相似文献

In this paper, a time fractional advection-dispersion equation is considered. From the relationship between the Caputo derivative and the Grunwald derivative, the Caputo derivative is approximated by using the Griinwald derivative. An implicit difference approximation for this equation is proposed. We prove that this approximation is unconditionally stable and convergent. Finally, numerical examples are given.  相似文献

In this paper, based on the variational approach and iterative technique, the existence of nontrivial weak solutions is derived for a fractional advection-dispersion equation with impulsive effects, and the nonlinear term of fractional advection-dispersion equation contain the fractional order derivative. In addition, an example is presented as an application of the main result.  相似文献

In this paper, a compact finite difference method is proposed for the solution of time fractional advection-dispersion equation which appears extensively in fluid dynamics. In this approach the time fractional derivative of mentioned equation is approximated by a scheme of order O(τ 2???α ), 0?<?α?<?1, and spatial derivatives are replaced with a fourth order compact finite difference scheme. We will prove the unconditional stability and solvability of proposed scheme. Also we show that the method is convergence with convergence order O(τ 2???α ?+?h 4). Numerical examples confirm the theoretical results and high accuracy of proposed scheme.  相似文献

In this paper, a Cauchy problem for the time fractional advection-dispersion equation (TFADE) is investigated. Such a problem is obtained from the classical advection-dispersion equation by replacing the first-order time derivative by the Caputo fractional derivative of order . We show that the Cauchy problem of TFADE is severely ill-posed and further apply a spectral regularization method to solve it based on the solution given by the Fourier method. The convergence estimate is obtained under a priori bound assumptions for the exact solution. Numerical examples are given to show the effectiveness of the proposed numerical method.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider a time-space fractional diffusion equation of distributed order (TSFDEDO). The TSFDEDO is obtained from the standard advection-dispersion equation by replacing the first-order time derivative by the Caputo fractional derivative of order α∈(0,1], the first-order and second-order space derivatives by the Riesz fractional derivatives of orders β 1∈(0,1) and β 2∈(1,2], respectively. We derive the fundamental solution for the TSFDEDO with an initial condition (TSFDEDO-IC). The fundamental solution can be interpreted as a spatial probability density function evolving in time. We also investigate a discrete random walk model based on an explicit finite difference approximation for the TSFDEDO-IC.

In this paper, we consider a time fractional diffusion equation on a finite domain. The equation is obtained from the standard diffusion equation by replacing the first-order time derivative by a fractional derivative (of order 0 < α < 1 ). We propose a computationally effective implicit difference approximation to solve the time fractional diffusion equation. Stability and convergence of the method are discussed. We prove that the implicit difference approximation (IDA) is unconditionally stable, and the IDA is convergent withO(Τ +h 2), where Τ andh are time and space steps, respectively. Some numerical examples are presented to show the application of the present technique.  相似文献

A Carleman estimate and the unique continuation of solutions for an anomalous diffusion equation with fractional time derivative of order 0 < α <1 are given. The estimate is derived through some subelliptic estimates for an operator associated to the anomalous diffusion equation using calculus of pseudo-differential operators.  相似文献

In this article, we consider the finite element method (FEM) for two‐dimensional linear time‐fractional Tricomi‐type equations, which is obtained from the standard two‐dimensional linear Tricomi‐type equation by replacing the first‐order time derivative with a fractional derivative (of order α, with 1 <α< 2 ). The method is based on finite element method for space and finite difference method for time. We prove that the method is unconditionally stable, and the error estimate is presented. The comparison of the FEM results with the exact solutions is made, and numerical experiments reveal that the FEM is very effective. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. In this paper, we consider a Cauchy problem of the time fractional diffusion equation (TFDE). Such problem is obtained from the classical diffusion equation by replacing the first-order time derivative by the Caputo fractional derivative of order α (0 < α ≤ 1). We show that the Cauchy problem of TFDE is severely ill-posed and further apply a new regularization method to solve it based on the solution given by the Fourier method. Convergence estimates in the interior and on the boundary of solution domain are obtained respectively under different a-priori bound assumptions for the exact solution and suitable choices of regularization parameters. Finally, numerical examples are given to show that the proposed numerical method is effective.  相似文献

We derive a spectral collocation approximation to the fractional Laplacian operator based on the Riemann-Liouville fractional derivative operators on a bounded domain Ω = [a, b]. Corresponding matrix representations of (?△) α/2 for α ∈ (0,1) and α ∈ (1,2) are obtained. A space-fractional advection-dispersion equation is then solved to investigate the numerical performance of this method under various choices of parameters. It turns out that the proposed method has high accuracy and is efficient for solving these space-fractional advection-dispersion equations when the forcing term is smooth.  相似文献

Distributed-order differential equations have recently been investigated for complex dynamical systems, which have been used to describe some important physical phenomena. In this paper, a new time distributed-order and two-sided space-fractional advection-dispersion equation is considered. Firstly, we transform the time distributed-order fractional equation into a multi-term time-space fractional partial differential equation by applying numerical integration. Then an implicit numerical method is constructed to solve the multi-term fractional equation. The uniqueness, stability and convergence of the implicit numerical method are proved. Some numerical results are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the method. The method and techniques can be extended to other time distributed-order and space-fractional partial differential equations.  相似文献

In this paper, combining with a new generalized ansätz and the fractional Jacobi elliptic equation, an improved fractional Jacobi elliptic equation method is proposed for seeking exact solutions of space‐time fractional partial differential equations. The fractional derivative used here is the modified Riemann‐Liouville derivative. For illustrating the validity of this method, we apply it to solve the space‐time fractional Fokas equation and the the space‐time fractional BBM equation. As a result, some new general exact solutions expressed in various forms including the solitary wave solutions, the periodic wave solutions, and Jacobi elliptic functions solutions for the two equations are found with the aid of mathematical software Maple. In this paper, we consider two types of space-time fractional diffusion equations(STFDE) on a finite domain. The equation can be obtained from the standard diffusion equation by replacing the second order space derivative by a Riemann-Liouville fractional derivative of order β (1 < β ≤ 2), and the first order time derivative by a Caputo fractional derivative of order γ (0 < γ ≤ 1). For the 0 < γ < 1 case, we present two schemes to approximate the time derivative and finite element methods for the space derivative, the optimal convergence rate can be reached O(τ2?γ + h2) and O(τ2 + h2), respectively, in which τ is the time step size and h is the space step size. And for the case γ = 1, we use the Crank-Nicolson scheme to approximate the time derivative and obtain the optimal convergence rate O(τ2 + h2) as well. Some numerical examples are given and the numerical results are in good agreement with the theoretical analysis.  相似文献

The determination of a space‐dependent source term along with the solution for a 1‐dimensional time fractional diffusion equation with nonlocal boundary conditions involving a parameter β>0 is considered. The fractional derivative is generalization of the Riemann‐Liouville and Caputo fractional derivatives usually known as Hilfer fractional derivative. We proved existence and uniqueness results for the solution of the inverse problem while over‐specified datum at 2 different time is given. The over‐specified datum at 2 time allows us to avoid initial condition in terms of fractional integral associated with Hilfer fractional derivative.  相似文献

The article presents a mathematical model of nonlinear reaction diffusion equation with fractional time derivative α (0 < α ? 1) in the form of a rapidly convergent series with easily computable components. Fractional reaction diffusion equation is used for modeling of merging travel solutions in nonlinear system for popular dynamics. The fractional derivatives are described in the Caputo sense. The anomalous behaviors of the nonlinear problems in the form of sub- and super-diffusion due to the presence of reaction term are shown graphically for different particular cases.  相似文献

In this paper we show adaptive time discretizations of a fractional integro–differential equation ∂αtu = Δu + f, where A is a linear operator in a complex Banach space X and ∂αt stands for the fractional time derivative, for 1 < α < 2. Some numerical illustrations are provided showing practical applications where the computational cost is one of drawbacks, e.g., some problems related to images processing. We develop a space-time fractional Schrödinger equation containing Caputo fractional derivative and the quantum Riesz fractional operator from a space fractional Schrödinger equation in this paper. By use of the new equation we study the time evolution behaviors of the space-time fractional quantum system in the time-independent potential fields and two cases that the order of the time fractional derivative is between zero and one and between one and two are discussed respectively. The space-time fractional Schrödinger equation with time-independent potentials is divided into a space equation and a time one. A general solution, which is composed of oscillatory terms and decay ones, is obtained. We investigate the time limits of the total probability and the energy levels of particles when time goes to infinity and find that the limit values not only depend on the order of the time derivative, but also on the sign (positive or negative) of the eigenvalues of the space equation. We also find that the limit value of the total probability can be greater or less than one, which means the space-time fractional Schrödinger equation describes the quantum system where the probability is not conservative and particles may be extracted from or absorbed by the potentials. Additionally, the non-Markovian time evolution laws of the space-time fractional quantum system are discussed. The formula of the time evolution of the mechanical quantities is derived and we prove that there is no conservative quantities in the space-time fractional quantum system. We also get a Mittag-Leffler type of time evolution operator of wave functions and then establish a Heisenberg equation containing fractional operators.  相似文献

In this paper, radial basis functions (RBFs) approximation method is implemented for time fractional advection–diffusion equation on a bounded domain. In this method the first order time derivative is replaced by the Caputo fractional derivative of order α  (0, 1], and spatial derivatives are approximated by the derivative of interpolation in the Kansa method. Stability and convergence of the method is discussed. Several numerical examples are include to demonstrate effectiveness and accuracy of the method.  相似文献
