The equipartition of energy applied in binary mixture of granular flow is extended to granular flow with non-uniform particles.Based on the fractal characteristic of granular flow with non-uniform particles as well as energy equipartition,a fractal velocity distribution function and a fractal model of effective thermal conductivity are derived.Thermal conduction resulted from motions of particles in the granular flow,as well as the effect of fractal dimension on effective thermal conductivity,is discussed.  相似文献

在颗粒流的研究中引入了一个正态分布的随机力场, 并通过计算机模拟研究了该力场对均匀颗粒流的影响. 结果发现: 随机力场基本上不改变均匀颗粒流的平均密度和速度, 对颗粒流密度的涨落也影响很小. 随机力场对均匀颗粒流的影响主要体现在它可提高速度的涨落, 它与颗粒体系的耗散性质相抗衡, 使颗粒流维持一定的波动能量. 研究结果还显示: 通过随机力场所获得的波动能量并没有均匀分布到各个自由度上, 由于颗粒体系的耗散性质颗粒体系难以达到能均分状态. 关键词: 颗粒物质 随机力 分子动力学模拟  相似文献

通过用分子动力学方法对颗粒物质流的计算机模拟,研究发现增大通道宽度可以使二维颗粒流从稀疏流转变为密集流状态.通过对不同通道宽度下,固定开口为9.5d的颗粒流和 漏斗口以上9.5d×8d区域记录的模拟结果分析,发现随通道宽度增大,密度变大、温 度降低.当“颗粒温度”T较低时(T/m<0.05 J/kg),颗粒流内部接触数开始超过1.2 ,同时出现较为牢固的横向链状颗粒团簇,是造成流量突变以及密集流的原因. 关键词: 颗粒物质 颗粒流 计算机模拟  相似文献

采用高速摄像仪对稠密颗粒射流撞击有限尺寸壁面的流动过程进行了实验研究,重点研究了颗粒膜及其表面波纹特征,考察了颗粒粒径、射流速度和固含率等因素对颗粒膜形态和表面波纹的影响.研究结果表明,随着颗粒粒径增大,稠密颗粒撞壁流由颗粒膜向散射模式转变.与液体射流撞壁液膜相比,颗粒膜扩展角较大,射流速度对其影响不显著.稠密颗粒射流撞壁颗粒膜表面波纹存在明显的叠加现象,颗粒膜表面波纹频率比液膜大约低一个数量级.颗粒膜表面波纹主要由射流脉动引起,表面波纹频率与射流脉动频率具有相同的数量级.  相似文献

This paper studies the granular flow down a chute with two successive turnings, which play the role of bottlenecks for the granular flow system and determine the granular flow state in main section between them. With the increase of main section width D, phase transition from dilute to dense granular flow is observed: When the main section width D is small (large), the granular flow at upper (lower) bottleneck is dense and the granular flow is dilute (dense) in the main section. More interestingly, a bistable region is exhibited, in which either dilute flow or dense flow may occur and continue for the entire run. In this region, the packing in the reservoir will affect initial flow rate and then affect the flow pattern. This study can be viewed as a paradigm for the jamming and unjamming transitions under shear due to gravity.  相似文献

The velocity of a particle detector in granular flow can be regarded as the combination of rolling and sliding velocities. The study of the contribution of rolling velocity and sliding velocity provides a new explanation to the relative motion between the detector and the local granular flow. In this study, a spherical detector using embedded inertial navigation technology is placed in the chute granular flow to study the movement of the detector relative to the granular flow. It is shown by particle image velocimetry (PIV) that the velocity of chute granular flow conforms to Silbert's formula. And the velocity of the detector is greater than that of the granular flow around it. By decomposing the velocity into sliding and rolling velocity, it is indicated that the movement of the detector relative to the granular flow is mainly caused by rolling. The rolling detail shown by DEM simulation leads to two potential mechanisms based on the position and drive of the detector.  相似文献

用实验和计算模拟的方法研究了颗粒流中的颗粒速度与颗粒流特性的关系.实验研究发现当入口流量固定时,在出口上方高速运动的颗粒会使颗粒流由稀疏流向密集流转变的临界出口尺寸变小.当颗粒流转变为密集流后,颗粒速度的作用被出口上方的颗粒堆积区所消耗,最终变得与颗粒速度无关.二维分子动力学模拟计算得到了与实验相同的结论.通过二维分子动力学模拟计算,还给出了不同颗粒速度下体系的密度和速率在空间的分布图.这些分布图显示随着颗粒到达出口上方的瞬间速度的不同,颗粒堆积区的密度和高度均会改变,并最终导致颗粒流流动状态的改变. 关键词: 颗粒流 颗粒气体 分子动力学模拟  相似文献

本文分析了颗粒流的介观结构及其特征,提出了颗粒流的双颗粒温度概念Tkin和Tconf,表征颗粒无序运动和构型无序演化的程度;进而作为非平衡变量,与经典非平衡热力学(classical irreversible thermodynamics,CIT)变量共同构成颗粒流的热力学状态变量集,确定了颗粒流的能量转换规律和熵产生率等,发展了颗粒流双颗粒温度(two granular temperate,TGT)模型.以体积恒定的简单剪切准静态颗粒流为例,结合离散元模拟(discrete element method,DEM),确定了双颗粒温度模型所需的材料参数,分析了颗粒流发展段的规律和稳恒段的有效摩擦系数.  相似文献

The flow of drops suspended on an inclined surface, are studied by numerical simulations at finite Reynolds numbers. The flow is driven by the acceleration due to gravity, and there is no pressure gradient in the flow direction. The effect of the Reynolds number, the Capillary number and density ratio on the distribution of drops and the fluctuation energy across the channel are investigated. It is found that drops tend to stay away from the channel floor, which is consistent with the behavior observed in the granular flow regime. Drops that are less deformable will stay further away from the channel floor. Also, drops appear at a larger distance from the floor as the Reynolds number increases. Simulations at large density ratios show that results are more compatible with computer simulations of granular flows. The behavior observed here resembles more the granular flow regime when the restitution coefficient is low.  相似文献

The flow of dry granular material in a half-filled rotating drum is studied. The thickness of the flowing zone is measured for several rotation speeds, drum sizes and beads sizes (size ratio between drum and beads ranging from 47 to 7400). Varying the rotation speed, a scaling law linking mean velocity vs. thickness of the flow, v∼hm, is deduced for each couple (beads, drum). The obtained exponent m is not always equal to 1, the value previously reported for a drum in litterature, but varies with the geometry of the system. For small size ratios, exponents higher than 1 are obtained due to a saturation of the flowing zone thickness. The exponent of the power law decreases with the size ratio, leading to exponents lower than 1 for high size ratios. These exponents imply that the velocity gradient of a dry granular flow in a rotating drum is not constant. More fundamentally, these results show that the flow of a granular material in a rotating drum is very sensible to the geometry, and that the deduction of the “rheology” of a granular medium flowing in such a geometry is not obvious.  相似文献

We investigate the granular flow states in a channel with bottleneck by molecular dynamics simulations.Our study is restricted only on a selected key area rather than on the whole system to focus on the flow properties of a single granular state.A random force field is introduced to control the granular temperature.It is also pointed out that the flow rate in the granular flow can be correlated with the pressure,which leads us to carry out a comprehensive study similar to the classical study for general liquid-gas phase transition.Our results show that the dilute flow state and the dense flow state of the granules are similar to the gas state and the liquid state of general substances,respectively,and the properties of phase transition and critical phenomenon are also similar to those occurring in general substances.  相似文献

The flow patterns and wall stresses in a two‐dimensional louvered moving granular filter bed of quartz sand were investigated. The flow pattern histories of granular solids in the filter bed were recorded using a digital camcorder and a pressure gauge for simultaneously measuring the normal stresses as well as shear stresses of the granular solids. The static wall stress distributions produced by the granular solids were measured, and agreed with a theoretical prediction formed using the differential slice and Runge‐Kutta (order four) methods. The variations in the dynamic wall stresses with time in a moving granular filter bed were obtained and the effect of the louver angle upon the flow patterns and wall stresses was also investigated. Employing the results obtained by stress measurements and image processing, the wall pressure pulsation phenomena in a moving granular filter bed may be further understood. The results reported here provide fundamental information for the design of moving granular filter beds to act as high‐temperature flue gas cleanup filters.  相似文献

采用高速摄像仪对稠密颗粒射流倾斜撞击形成的类液体颗粒膜特征进行实验研究,考察了颗粒粒径、射流速度以及射流含固率等因素对颗粒膜形态及动态特征的影响.结果表明:随着颗粒粒径增大,稠密颗粒倾斜撞击流由颗粒膜向散射模式转变;随着射流速度增加,气固不稳定增强,射流流量出现脉动,正面与侧面分别表现为颗粒膜的非轴对称振荡和表面波纹结构;颗粒膜非轴对称振荡的振荡频率和振荡幅度随射流速度的增大而增大;表面波纹速度和波长沿传播方向增大,波纹间存在叠加现象.颗粒膜出现非轴对称振荡主要是因为喷嘴出口由气固不稳定性引起的射流流量脉动,射流流量脉动频率与撞击面振荡频率基本相当.  相似文献

The characteristics of the combustion of a Ti +0.5C granular mixture in a quartz tube under conditions of blowing with argon are studied. The gas flow (cocurrent filtration) is provided by a fixed pressure drop (<1 atm) across the feedstock bed. The dynamics of gas evolution during the combustion the Ti + 0.5C granular mixture, both in the presence and absence of blowing is investigated. The blowing is demonstrated to influence the chemical and phase composition of the condensed synthesis products. It is shown that blowing the Ti + 0.5C granular mixture with a cocurrent argon flow of increases the burning rate.  相似文献

The evolution of energy in subaerial and subaqueous granular column collapses is studied.Employing the refractive index matching method and planar laser-induced fluorescence technique,we obtain granular and liquid images simultaneously in a single experiment of subaqueous flow.Particle image velocimetry and particle tracking velocimetry are used to process the data for the fluid and granular phase.We find stepwise decreases in the total kinetic energy of the granular material.The stage of rapidly falling energy corresponds to large transverse changes in the direction of the massive granular particles.Moreover,in this stage,a major fraction of the granular kinetic energy transferred from the granular potential energy is lost or transferred.Interestingly,compared with dry granular flow,the existence of an ambient liquid seems to reduce the total dissipated energy,which may be the reason why previous studies observed similar granular runout distances in subaqueous and dry granular collapses.  相似文献

We establish that the rheological curve of dry granular media is nonmonotonic, both in the presence and absence of external mechanical agitations. In the presence of weak vibrations, the nonmonotonic flow curves govern a hysteretic transition between slow but steady and fast, inertial flows. In the absence of vibrations, the nonmonotonic flow curve governs the yielding behavior of granular media. Finally, we show that nonmonotonic flow curves can be seen in at least two different flow geometries and for several granular materials.  相似文献

The formation of granular ripples under liquid shear flow in an annular channel is studied experimentally. The erodible granular bed is subject to weakly turbulent flows without a defined sharp boundary layer close to the granular bed. The flow field and the degree of turbulence is characterized quantitatively by using a particle image velocimeter and a laser-Doppler velocimeter, respectively. A new range of particle Reynolds numbers at the lower limit of the Shields diagram were explored. Quantitative measurements of the granular flow on the surface reveal that the threshold for particle motion coincides within the order of one percent with the threshold for ripple formation. In fully developed ripples it was found that on the leeward side of the ripples regions of low-velocity gradients exist where granular motion is scarce, indicating that the coupling between the ripples is mainly caused by the flow field of the liquid.  相似文献

We have studied the dynamics of avalanching wet granular media in a rotating drum apparatus. Quantitative measurements of the flow velocity and the granular flux during avalanches allow us to characterize novel avalanche types unique to wet media. We also explore the details of viscoplastic flow (observed at the highest liquid contents) in which there are lasting contacts during flow, leading to coherence across the entire sample. This coherence leads to a velocity-independent flow depth at high rotation rates and novel robust pattern formation in the granular surface.  相似文献

A variational continuum mechanics model is suggested to describe the profile of the free surface of the granular material. 为满足中国加速器驱动的次临界系统(C-ADS) 对于可靠性的要求, 计划采用基于螺线管的电磁垂直输运方案, 将经过质子束辐照后下落的散裂靶颗粒球再次输运至初始高度。基于解析方法对颗粒流垂直输运装置进行了分析和设计, 通过基于螺线管散热、径轴向颗粒流聚散焦效应和互感损耗等方面的考虑, 得到了适合于垂直输运颗粒流的螺线管驱动方式和螺线管构型及排布。利用基于本文解析方法的模拟程序, 对不同输运管道内径、不同螺线管驱动电流和不同螺线管构型和排布下的颗粒流垂直输运装置进行了模拟, 并从中筛选出了该装置的优化设计。模拟表明, 采用该优化设计的输运装置可将质量流量为19.6kg/s的颗粒流垂直输运至40m高度, 并满足颗粒球出口速度足够大的要求。  相似文献
