Let G be a connected graph. For at distance 2, we define , and , if then . In the present paper we obtain a sufficient condition for the exponential dichotomy of a strongly continuous, one-parameter semigroup , in terms of the admissibility of the pair . It is already known the equivalence between the -admissibility condition and and the hyperbolicity of a C 0-semigroup , when we assume a priori that the kernel of the dichotomic projector (denoted here by X 2) is T(t)-invariant and is an invertible operator. We succeed to prove in this paper that the admissibility of the pair still implies the existence of an exponential dichotomy for a C 0-semigroup even in the general case where the kernel of the dichotomic projector, X 2, is not assumed to be T(t)-invariant.   相似文献

Let A be an elliptic operator on a compact manifold with boundary , and let be a covering map, where Y is a closed manifold. Let H olenote a complex separable Hilbert space and L(H) denote the collection of bounded linear operators on H. Let G be a finite group and a formation of finite groups. We say that a subgroup H of G is -supplemented in G if there exists a subgroup T of G such that G = TH and is contained in the -hypercenter of G/H G . In this paper, we use -supplemented subgroups to study the structure of finite groups. A series of previously known results are unified and generalized. In this paper, we study the minimality of the map for the weighted energy functional , where is a continuous function. We prove that for any integer and any non-negative, non-decreasing continuous function f, the map minimizes E f,p among the maps in which coincide with on . The case p = 1 has been already studied in [Bourgoin J.-C. Calc. Var. (to appear)]. Then, we extend results of Hong (see Ann. Inst. Poincaré Anal. Non-linéaire 17: 35–46 (2000)). Indeed, under the same assumptions for the function f, we prove that in dimension n ≥  7 for any real with , the map minimizes E f,p among the maps in which coincide with on .   相似文献

We study permanence properties of the classes of stable and so-called -stable -algebras, respectively. More precisely, we show that a (X)-algebra A is stable if all its fibres are, provided that the underlying compact metrizable space X has finite covering dimension or that the Cuntz semigroup of A is almost unperforated (a condition which is automatically satisfied for -algebras absorbing the Jiang–Su algebra tensorially). Furthermore, we prove that if is a K 1-injective strongly self-absorbing -algebra, then A absorbs tensorially if and only if all its fibres do, again provided that X is finite-dimensional. This latter statement generalizes results of Blanchard and Kirchberg. We also show that the condition on the dimension of X cannot be dropped. Along the way, we obtain a useful characterization of when a -algebra with weakly unperforated Cuntz semigroup is stable, which allows us to show that stability passes to extensions of -absorbing -algebras. We prove a regularity result for critical points of the polyharmonic energy in with and p > 1. Our proof is based on a Gagliardo–Nirenberg-type estimate and avoids the moving frame technique. In view of the monotonicity formulae for stationary harmonic and biharmonic maps, we infer partial regularity in theses cases.  相似文献

Let be an n-dimensional compact, possibly with boundary, submanifold in an (n + p)-dimensional space form R n+p (c). Assume that r is even and , in this paper we introduce rth mean curvature function S r and (r + 1)-th mean curvature vector field . We call M to be an r-minimal submanifold if on M, we note that the concept of 0-minimal submanifold is the concept of minimal submanifold. In this paper, we define a functional of , by calculation of the first variational formula of J r we show that x is a critical point of J r if and only if x is r-minimal. Besides, we give many examples of r-minimal submanifolds in space forms. We calculate the second variational formula of J r and prove that there exists no compact without boundary stable r-minimal submanifold with in the unit sphere S n+p . When r = 0, noting S 0 = 1, our result reduces to Simons’ result: there exists no compact without boundary stable minimal submanifold in the unit sphere S n+p .   相似文献

In present paper we define a new kind of weak quantized enveloping algebra of Borcherds superalgebras . It is a noncommutative and noncocommutative weak graded Hopf algebra. Using localizing with some Ore set, we obtain a different kind of quantized enveloping algebras of Borcherds superalgebras . It has a homomorphic image which is isomorphic to the usual quantum enveloping algebra of . Moreover, is isomorphic to a direct sum of and an other algebra as algebras. A solution to the normalized Ricci flow is called non-singular if it exists for all time with uniformly bounded sectional curvature. By using the techniques developed by the present authors [Ishida, The normalized Ricci flow on four-manifolds and exotic smooth structures; Şuvaina, Einstein metrics and smooth structures on non-simply connected 4-manifolds] we prove that for any finite cyclic group , where d > 1, there exist infinitely many compact topological 4-manifolds, with fundamental group , which admit at least one smooth structure for which non-singular solutions of the normalized Ricci flow exist, but also admit infinitely many distinct smooth structures for which no non-singular solution of the normalized Ricci flow exists. We show that there are no non-singular -equivariant, d > 1, solutions to the normalized Ricci flow on appropriate connected sums of and .  相似文献

Let be the algebra of all bounded linear operators on a complex Banach space X and γ(T) be the reduced minimum modulus of operator . In this work, we prove that if , is a surjective linear map such that is an invertible operator, then , for every , if and only if, either there exist two bijective isometries and such that for every , or there exist two bijective isometries and such that for every . Let (V, g) be a Riemannian manifold and let be the isometric immersion operator which, to a map , associates the induced metric on V, where denotes the Euclidean scalar product in . By Nash–Gromov implicit function theorem is infinitesimally invertible over the space of free maps. In this paper we study non-free isometric immersions . We prove some new a priori estimates for H 2-convex functions which are zero on the boundary of a bounded smooth domain Ω in a Carnot group . Such estimates are global and are geometric in nature as they involve the horizontal mean curvature of ∂Ω. We show a sufficient condition for a domain in to be a H -domain of holomorphy. Furthermore if a domain has the Gleason property at a point and the projection of the n − 1th order generalized Shilov boundary does not coincide with Ω then is schlicht. We explore the relationship between contact forms on defined by Finsler metrics on and the theory developed by H. Hofer, K. Wysocki and E. Zehnder (Hofer etal. Ann. Math. 148, 197–289, 1998; Ann. Math. 157, 125–255, 2003). We show that a Finsler metric on with curvature K ≥ 1 and with all geodesic loops of length > π is dynamically convex and hence it has either two or infinitely many closed geodesics. We also explain how to explicitly construct J-holomorphic embeddings of cylinders asymptotic to Reeb orbits of contact structures arising from Finsler metrics on with K = 1, thus complementing the results obtained in Harris and Wysocki (Trans. In the present paper, we compute the obstructions to solving the -equation in the L p -sense on Y for 1 ≤  p ≤  ∞ in terms of cohomology groups .
