应用量子力学的超位力定理(HVT)和赫尔曼-费恩曼(Hellmann-Feynman)定理(HFT),导出了用微扰法计算渐变折射率平面波导传播常数各级近似值的代数递推公式,并给出了由传播常数近似值计算模场近似表达式的代数式。计算了几个典型实例,此法的特点是便于直接计算任意级近似的传播常数及模场分布,且可推广到二维波导的计算。  相似文献

A novel approach is presented for obtaining approximate analytical expressions for the dispersion relation of periodic wavetrains in the nonlinear Klein-Gordon equation with even potential function. By coupling linearization of the governing equation with the method of harmonic balance, we establish two general analytical approximate formulas for the dispersion relation, which depends on the amplitude of the periodic wavetrain. These formulas are valid for small as well as large amplitude of the wavetrain. They are also applicable to the large amplitude regime, which the conventional perturbation method fails to provide any solution, of the nonlinear system under study. Three examples are demonstrated to illustrate the excellent approximate solutions of the proposed formulas with respect to the exact solutions of the dispersion relation. On the basis of the known approximate theories and the recent experimental data, a semiempirical theory of a resonance-type one-layer cellular sound-absorbing lining is developed. Approximate formulas are obtained for calculating the effective normal impedance with allowance for the geometric parameters of the sound-absorbing lining, the high sound-pressure levels, the presence of an entraining flow, and the nonlinear interaction of sound components of different frequencies within a given one-third-octave spectrum of noise. The results of numerical calculations by approximate formulas are compared with experiments and with the experimental and theoretical data reported by other authors. The proposed theory is found to agree well with experimental data.  相似文献

Propagation of a flat-topped beam of circular or non-circular (rectangular or elliptical) symmetry through an apertured optical system is investigated. By expanding the hard aperture function as a finite sum of complex Gaussian functions, some approximate analytical propagation formulas are derived for a flat-topped beam of circular or non-circular (rectangular or elliptical) symmetry propagating through an apertured paraxial general astigmatic (GA) optical system or an apertured paraxial misaligned stigmatic (ST) optical system. The derived formulas are very fast to compute. The results obtained by using the approximate analytical expressions are in a good agreement with those obtained by direct numerical integration. The present analytical formulas provide a convenient and effective way for studying the propagation and transformation of a circular or non-circular flat-topped beam through an apertured general optical system.  相似文献

Reflections occur whenever different waveguide sections are concatenated. In this paper, we will give approximate formulas for determining the reflection coefficient. Starting with generalized transmission line equations we will derive general formulas where suitable approximations are introduced. These approximations allow the determination of the reflections with low numerical effort. The expressions were implemented in an FD-BPM algorithm to determine the field distribution in waveguide devices. For an application in CAD systems the reflection coefficient of the fundamental mode was computed with the approximate formulas. Numerical results were obtained for various concatenations of different waveguide sections. A comparison with the method of lines, a semi-analytic algorithm, shows a good agreement.  相似文献
