Polarization dependent X-ray absorption measurements on single crystal Bi2Sr2CuO6 (T c =9 K) and Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8 (T c =80 K) with one and two CuO2 layers, respectively, show no energy shift of the Cu 2p main peak, and no relation between the amount of 3d(m=0, ±1) character and the critical temperatureT c . At grazing incidence a structure in Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8 is found at 937 eV, which can be ascribed to a composite state of Cu 3d(z 2), Cu 4s ando–2p(z).  相似文献

Zero and longitudinal field SR has been used to probe the magnetic state of amorphous Bi2Sr2CaCu2Ox prepared by rapid quenching from the melt. We study the Fermi surface of Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8 using angle resolved photoemission spectroscopy (ARPES) with a momentum resolution of approximately 0.01 of the Brillouin zone. We show that, contrary to recent suggestions, the ARPES derived Fermi surface is a large hole barrel centered at (pi,pi), independent of the incident photon energy. We caution that the photon energy and k dependence of the matrix elements, if not properly accounted for, can lead to misinterpretation of ARPES intensities.  相似文献

The field dependences of the transverse resistance of a Bi2Sr2CaCu2Oy (BSCCO) layered superconducting single crystal with T c0≥92 K are studied in a perpendicular (H⊥(ab)) pulsed magnetic field up to 50 T in a wide temperature range, 4.2–300 K. The temperature dependences of the characteristic fields identified with the “irreversibility curve” and the field corresponding to the nucleation of the superconducting phase are determined. The results obtained for the latter field are compared with the theoretical dependences.  相似文献

2 Cu3O7 has been observed in “off-c-axis” grown Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8 films. The films were prepared by pulsed laser deposition from Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8 targets and grown with a tilt angle of 10 degrees between the film c-axis and the film surface on off-axis cut SrTiO3 substrates. The ceramics and single crystals of the Bi2Sr2CaFe2Ox compound were synthesized. The X-ray diffraction data showed orthorhombic symmetry. The lattice parameters are equal toa=5.464 Å,b=5.453 Å,c=31.313 Å. The crystal structure is described by the primitive Bravais lattice with the possible space groups Pbmm. Pbm2 and Pb21m. The obtained X-ray patterns show the presence the incommensurate structural modulation with the following parameters: the modulation vector lies in the (100)-plane, the value of the wave-vector componentq b=0.22(3). The comparison of the obtained results with data for Fe-doped Bi2Sr2CaCu2Ox and Bi2Sr3Fe2Ox are presented. No magnetic peculiarities of the compound were found. Mssbauer measurements of the ceramic samples indicate the presence mainly of Fe3+ oxidation state and Fe4+ (about 20%). The decrease of the quadrupole-splitting values for 2212Fe in comparison with Fe-doped 2212Cu was revealed that may be connected with higher symmetry of the local environment of Fe atoms in 2212Fe.  相似文献
