In his book (3), Pietsch presents the problem of a direct construction of the injective hull of an operator ideal on loca. lly convex spaces. We construct the infective hull of an arbitrary operator ideal on locally convex spaces using the functor, where and B cover the family of all equicontinuous subsets of E'(L is the category of all locally convex spaces). \({{\mathfrak{L}}_{II}}\) operator is introduced by Xin (2015), which is an important extrinsic elliptic differential operator of divergence type and has profound geometric meaning. In this paper, we extend \({{\mathfrak{L}}_{II}}\) operator to a more general elliptic differential operator \({{\mathfrak{L}}_\nu}\), and investigate the clamped plate problem of bi-\({{\mathfrak{L}}_\nu}\) operator, which is denoted by \({\mathfrak{L}}_\nu ^2\) on the complete Riemannian manifolds. A general formula of eigenvalues for the \({\mathfrak{L}}_\nu ^2\) operator is established. Applying this formula, we estimate the eigenvalues on the Riemannian manifolds. As some further applications, we establish some eigenvalue inequalities for this operator on the translating solitons with respect to the mean curvature flows, submanifolds of the Euclidean spaces, unit spheres and projective spaces. In particular, for the case of translating solitons, all of the eigenvalue inequalities are universal.

Motivated by questions related to embeddings of homogeneous Sobolev spaces and to comparison of function spaces and operator ranges, we introduce the notion of closely embedded Hilbert spaces as an extension of that of continuous embedding of Hilbert spaces. We show that this notion is a special case of that of Hilbert spaces induced by unbounded positive selfadjoint operators that corresponds to kernel operators in the sense of L. Schwartz. Certain canonical representations and characterizations of uniqueness of closed embeddings are obtained. We exemplify these constructions by closed, but not continuous, embeddings of Hilbert spaces of holomorphic functions. An application to the closed embedding of a homogeneous Sobolev space on Rn in L2(Rn), based on the singular integral operator associated to the Riesz potential, and a comparison to the case of the singular integral operator associated to the Bessel potential are also presented. As a second application we show that a closed embedding of two operator ranges corresponds to absolute continuity, in the sense of T. Ando, of the corresponding kernel operators.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the space of all compact adjoint operators from dual spaces of Banach spaces into dual spaces of Banach spaces and approximation properties. For some topology on the space of all bounded linear operators from separable dual spaces of Banach spaces into dual spaces of Banach spaces, it is shown that if a bounded linear operator is approximated by a net of compact adjoint operators, then the operator can be approximated by a sequence of compact adjoint operators whose operator norms are less than or equal to the operator norm of the operator. Also we obtain applications of the theory and, in particular, apply the theory to approximation properties.  相似文献

Certain free products are introduced for operator spaces and dual operator spaces. It is shown that the free product of operator spaces does not preserve the injectivity. The linking C*-algebra of the full free product of two ternary rings of operators (simply, TRO's) is *-isomorphic to the full free product of the linking C*-algebras of the two TRO's. The operator space-reduced free product of the preduals of von Neumann algebras agrees with the predual of the reduced free product of the von Neumann algebras. Each of two operator spaces can be embedded completely isometrically into the reduced free product of the operator spaces. Finally, an example is presented to show that the C*-algebra-reduced free product of two C*-algebras may be contractively isomorphic to a proper subspace of their reduced free product as operator spaces.  相似文献

Periodization and sampling operators are defined, and the Fourier transform of periodization is uniform sampling in a well-defined sense. Implementing this point of view, Poisson Summation Formulas are proved in several spaces including integrable functions of bounded variation (where the result is known) and elements of mixed norm spaces. These Poisson Summation Formulas can be used to prove corresponding sampling theorems. The sampling operators used to understand and prove the aforementioned Poisson Summation Formulas lead to the introduction of spaces of continuous linear operators which commute with integer translations. Operators L of this type are appropriately called sampling multipliers. For a given function f, they give rise to new sampling formulas, whose sampling coefficients are of the form Lf. In practice, Lf can be used to model noisy data or data where point values are not available. By representation theorems of the second named author, some of these operator spaces are proved to be mixed norm spaces. The approach and results of this paper were developed in the context of Duffin and Schaeffer’s theory of frames. In particular, sampling multipliers L are related to the Bessel map used by Duffin and Schaeffer in their definition of the frame operator. There is a subtle difference as far as the invariant subspace problem is concerned for operators acting on real Banach spaces and operators acting on complex Banach spaces. For instance, the classical hyperinvariant subspace theorem of Lomonosov [Funktsional. Anal. nal. i Prilozhen 7(3)(1973), 55–56. (Russian)], while true for complex Banach spaces is false for real Banach spaces. When one starts with a bounded operator on a real Banach space and then considers some “complexification technique” to extend the operator to a complex Banach space, there seems to be no pattern that indicates any connection between the invariant subspaces of the “real” operator and those of its “complexifications.” The purpose of this note is to examine two complexification methods of an operator T acting on a real Banach space and present some questions regarding the invariant subspaces of T and those of its complexifications Mathematics Subject Classification 1991: 47A15, 47C05, 47L20, 46B99 Y.A. In this paper, the authors introduce Morrey-type spaces on the locally doubling metric measure spaces, which means that the underlying measure enjoys the doubling and the reverse doubling properties only on a class of admissible balls, and then obtain the boundedness of the local Hardy–Littlewood maximal operator and the local fractional integral operator on such Morrey-type spaces. These Morrey-type spaces on the Gauss measure space are further proved to be naturally adapted to singular integrals associated with the Ornstein–Uhlenbeck operator. To be precise, by means of the locally doubling property and the geometric properties of the Gauss measure, the authors establish the equivalence between Morrey-type spaces and Campanato-type spaces on the Gauss measure space, and the boundedness for a class of singular integrals associated with the Ornstein–Uhlenbeck operator (including Riesz transforms of any order) on Morrey-type spaces over the Gauss measure space.  相似文献

We introduce the p-adic weighted multilinear Hardy-Cesàro operator. We also obtain the necessary and sufficient conditions on weight functions to ensure the boundedness of that operator on the product of Lebesgue spaces, Morrey spaces, and central bounded mean oscillation spaces. In each case, we obtain the corresponding operator norms. We also characterize the good weights for the boundedness of the commutator of weighted multilinear Hardy-Cesàro operator on the product of central Morrey spaces with symbols in central bounded mean oscillation spaces.  相似文献

If a function belongs to two functional spaces with a dominating mixed derivative, then it also belongs to the intermediate spaces (in the sense of the order of differentiation and the integrability exponent). An interpolation theorem is proved for the operators on such spaces. A linear operator is considered which is bounded on each of the two periodic functional spaces with a dominating mixed derivative. Boundedness of the operator on the intermediate functional spces is proved and the corresponding estimates of the norms of the operator are deduced.  相似文献
