For the problem of axisymmetrically loaded shells of revolution with small elastic strains and arbitrarily large axial deflections, this paper suggests a group of state variable: radial displacement u, axial displacement w, angular, deflection of tangent in the meridian X, radial stress resultant H and meridional bending moment Ms, and derives a System of First-order Nonlinear Differential Equations under global coordinate system with these variables. The Principle of Minimum Potential Energy for the problem is obtained by means of weighted residual method, and its Generalized Variational Principle by means of identified Lagrange multiplier method.This paper also presents a Method of Variable-characteristic Nondimensionization with a scale of load parameter, which may efficientlky raise the probability of success for nonlinearity calculation. The obtained Nondimensional System of Differential Equations and Nondimensional Principle of Minimum Potential Energy could be taken as the theoretical basis for the numerical computation of axisymmetrical shells with arbitrarily large deflections.  相似文献

The post-buckling problem of a fixed-free column composed of two segments connected by a linear rotational spring with different flexural stiffness and lengths is studied. A semi-analytical solution is derived and the results are checked using two different numerical approaches. In the first approach, the problem is solved using numerical integration technique, while in the second approach, the problem is solved using large displacement finite element analysis of NASTRAN program. Excellent agreements have been obtained between the semi-analytical and the numerical approaches.

Furthermore, a regression analysis has been made for the parameters covered in this study and a regression function has been obtained which relates to the tip axial horizontal displacement (δ) as a function of load parameter () and fixity ratio (f). From this function, the stored strain energy (U) is obtained and plotted to be used as a design chart for engineers to obtain the required fixity ratio for a given stored strain energy and load parameter.  相似文献

本文介绍了用云纹干涉法同时获得三维位移场——面内位移(U_0,U_(45),U_(90))和离面位移(w)的两种方法:实时观测法和加载波条纹的差载法.前者可一次加载,分别观测各个位移分量条纹图;后者可用一张底板同时记录全部三维位移信息,通过光学滤波分离出各位移分量条纹图。测试方法和计算都很简便,不仅能测静荷,同时也可测动荷,文中还介绍了实验用的仪器,给出了实验结果。  相似文献

The problem of a mode I crack in nanomaterials under a remote mechanical load is investigated. The effect of the residual surface stress on the crack surface is considered and the solutions to the crack opening displacement (COD) and the stress intensity factor (KI) are obtained. The results show that the surface effect on the crack deformation and crack tip field are prominent at nanoscale. Moreover, COD and KI are influenced by the residual surface stress not only on the surface near the crack tip region but also on the entire crack surface.  相似文献

In conjunction with the incremental hole-drilling method, a new evaluation procedure is presented for determining the residual stress state in components. In contrast to the classical method, the whole displacement field around the drilled hole is measured using the electronic speckle pattern interferometry technique. The displacement patterns, measured without contact to the surface, are then correlated with those obtained by finite-element simulations using statistical methods. The simulated displacement patterns, used for calibration purposes, result from the application of properly defined basic loads. In this way, the values and the orientation of the residual stresses can be determined by superposition of these properly scaled and shifted basic loads. Even complex states of stress can be evaluated. The theoretical background and experimental results are presented.  相似文献

A model of a porous medium consisting of randomly branching conical pores is used to investigate the quasistatic displacement of gas by a wetting liquid without application of an external pressure. Allowance is made for the circumstance that in the capillary process all the pores have at least one-sided permeability for the liquid phase. An expression is obtained that relates the residual gas saturation to the parameters which characterize the structure of the pores and the wetting properties of the system. Two new characteristics of the pore space are introduced — the branching parameter and the opening angle of the pores — and the influence of these parameters on the residual saturation is investigated. The in-plane method and the out-of-plane method are used to analyze blind-hole residual stress as measured by optical interferometry. The in-plane method, which constructs a relation between the in-plane displacement field and the residual stress released from blind-hole drilling, is applicable when the sensitivity vector of the interferometer used in the measuring system is parallel to the object surface. Three in-plane displacements obtained from one interference pattern are sufficient to determine the residual stress. The out-of-plane method, which establishes a new relation between the out-of-plane displacement field and the released residual stress, is suggested when the sensitivity vector is perpendicular to the object surface. Two relative out-of-plane displacements extracted from one interference pattern are sufficient to determine the residual stress. With the adoption of these two methods, interpolating calculation is not needed to determine the fringe order of each data point, since the selections of the required data points are flexible using these two methods. Two experiments, one for the in-plane method and the other for the out-of-plane method, were carried out to illustrate the applicability and usefulness of these two methods.  相似文献

A new method has been developed for the determination of residual stresses in a cylinder. Boring out or removing layers from outside induces changes in the length and diameter of the remaining bar. The initial distributions of the stresses are derived from measurements of the length change only. Details of equations required for the calculations are described. The method rests on an assumption that the radial displacement just below a surface is equal to the radial displacement at a new surface after removal of the surface layer of material. This assumption leads to relations between the three residual-stress components. The numerical calculations of these relations agree well with the experimental data for quenched cylinders obtained by using the Sachs method in other investigations. A brief general discussion is given on the equilibrium conditions of the residual stresses determined.  相似文献

This paper deals with the problem of thermoelastic interactions in a functionally graded isotropic unbounded medium due to the presence of periodically varying heat sources in the context of the linear theory of generalized thermoelasticity without energy dissipation (TEWOED). The governing equations of generalized thermoelasticity without energy dissipation (GN model type II) for a functionally graded materials (FGM) (i.e. material with spatially varying material properties)are established. The governing equations are expressed in Laplace–Fourier double transform domain and solved in that domain. Now, the inversion of the Fourier transform is carried out by using residual calculus, where poles of the integrand is obtained numerically in complex domain by using Laguerre’s method and the inversion of Laplace transform is done numerically using a method based on Fourier series expansion technique. The numerical estimates of the displacement, temperature, stress and strain are obtained for a hypothetical material. The solution to the analogous problem for homogeneous isotropic material is obtained by taking nonhomogeneity parameter suitably. Finally the results obtained are presented graphically to show the effect of nonhomogeneity on displacement, temperature, stress and strain.  相似文献

本文在建立非定常电磁场和机械载荷作用下载流圆形薄板非线性变形状态下的磁弹性二维关系方程和运动方程的基础上,对其在非静态电磁场和机械载荷联合作用下的位移及应力进行了分析,获得了耦合场中一些参量的变化规律,通过具体算例,得出了载流圆形薄板在机械场和电磁场作用下的位移及应力与通电电流强度之间的关系,并解决了圆板中心处的奇异性问题,给出了在轴对称条件下的数值解,计算结果表明,改变通电电流及电磁感应强度的大小,可以改变载流薄板的应力和变形状态,达到控制薄板的受力和变形的目的。  相似文献

The concept of weak discontinuity is extended to functionally graded piezoelectric bi-material interface, and fracture analysis for the weak discontinuous interface is performed by the methods of Fourier integral transform and Cauchy singular integral equation. Numerical results of the total energy release rate (TERR) and the mechanical strain energy release rate (MSERR) are obtained to show the effects of non-homogeneity parameters, geometrical parameters and loads. Parametric studies yield three conclusions: (1) To reduce the weak-discontinuity of the interface is beneficial to resisting interfacial fracture. The effect of the weak-discontinuity of the interface on TERR and MSERR still depends on the strip width. The wider the strip, the more sensitive the TERR and MSERR will be to the weak-discontinuity of the interface. (2) To predict the effect of electric load on crack propagation, MSERR is more appropriate than TERR to be used as a fracture parameter. To predict the effect of mechanical load on crack propagation, both of them could be used as fracture parameters, and MSERR is more conservative. (3) Mechanical load and negative electric displacement load would promote crack propagation, but positive electric displacement load would retard it. For the structure applied by combined mechanical and positive electric displacement loads, crack propagation may be impeded by appropriately selecting the strip width and the ratio of non-homogeneity parameters.  相似文献

Mechanical strain relief techniques for estimating the magnitude of residual stress work by measuring strains or displacements when part of the component is machined away. The underlying assumption is that such strain or displacement changes result from elastic unloading. Unfortunately, in components containing high levels of residual stress, elastic-plastic unloading may well occur, particularly when the residual stresses are highly triaxial. This paper examines the performance of one mechanical strain relief technique particularly suitable for large section components, the deep hole drilling (DHD) technique. The magnitude of error is calculated for different magnitudes of residual stress and can be substantial for residual stress states close to yield. A modification to the technique is described to allow large magnitudes of residual stress to be measured correctly. The new technique is validated using the case of a quenched cylinder where use of the standard DHD technique leads to unacceptable error. The measured residual stresses using the new technique are compared with the results obtained using the neutron diffraction technique and are shown to be in excellent agreement.  相似文献

The paper treats the stability of surface waves generated when a rubber half-space is subjected to compression. At a load level below the critical one an asymptotic expansion is given for the difference between the potential energy of an adjacent state and that of the fundamental state. The displacement field is expressed approximately by a linear combination of two different buckling modes and a residual displacement field which is orthogonal to the former fields. This remainder permits us to take into account the effect of all other modes which have been neglected. The wavelength of the two modes are governed by the dominant imperfections of the half-space. Terms up to the fourth order in the amplitudes of the buckling modes are included.Results are presented to show the most severe post-buckling behaviour as presented by the line of steepest descent in the load displacement diagram. Furthermore curves showing the reduction of the critical load on account of the imperfections in the two dominant modes are also presented. The analysis is kept sufficiently general to include the effect of pre-straining the rubber half-space upon the post-buckling behaviour.  相似文献

用样条有限条塑性铰法分析了板梁的极限荷载。首先对条单元以样条位移函数表达的总势能进行求导而推导了位移-荷载关系式。然后用塑性铰法推导了单元的塑性刚度矩阵。因此该方法兼具二者优点:样条有限条法的位移量少和塑性铰法形成塑性刚度矩阵的便利。它还可以考虑梁的初始缺陷,如残余应力和初弯曲。通过与相关的试验数据比较,证明该方法有效与可靠。  相似文献

将基于双目视觉的三维数字图像相关方法 (Three-dimension digital image correlation,3D-DIC)与多相机同步采集系统相结合,形成基于多相机的3D-DIC系统。依据三维空间误差(Three-dimensional residual,3Dresidual)最小原则,确定各点对应的最佳双目视觉系统,获得物体全场三维变形。以四相机3D-DIC系统为例,与测量精度达10~20nm的电子散斑干涉测量系统同时对平板的离面位移进行测量,并对测量得到的离面位移最大值进行了对比分析。结果显示,荷载较小时,四相机3D-DIC与电子散斑干涉测量系统误差稍大,最大达到2.7%;荷载增大,物体变形增大时,两种测量系统结果基本相同。文中讨论了四相机测量系统的不稳定对实验结果的影响。利用该四相机3D-DIC系统对镍合金不锈钢材料在高温场中的变形进行测量,获得了物体的三维变形场,并分析了材料的膨胀系数,得到了试件的热应变-温度曲线和膨胀系数随温度变化的关系式。  相似文献

The static stability of thin-walled composite beams, considering shear deformation and geometrical non-linear coupling, subjected to transverse external force has been investigated in this paper. The theory is formulated in the context of large displacements and rotations, through the adoption of a shear deformable displacement field (accounting for bending and warping shear) considering moderate bending rotations and large twist. This non-linear formulation is used for analyzing the prebuckling and postbuckling behavior of simply supported, cantilever and fixed-end beams subjected to different load condition. Ritz's method is applied in order to discretize the non-linear differential system and the resultant algebraic equations are solved by means of an incremental Newton-Rapshon method. The numerical results show that the beam loses its stability through a stable symmetric bifurcation point and the postbuckling strength is in relation with the buckling load value. Classical predictions of lateral buckling are conservative when the prebuckling displacements are not negligible and the non-linear buckling analysis is required for reliable solutions. The analysis is supplemented by investigating the effects of the variation of load height parameter. In addition, the critical load values and postbuckling response obtained with the present beam model are compared with the results obtained with a shell finite element model (Abaqus).  相似文献

A closed-form solution is developed for predicting transient displacement, velocity, and force as well as residual displacement and duration for both flat and pointed projectiles penetrating cohesive soils. Because transient response can be represented as a 3 parameter space of nondimensional numbers, displacement, velocity, and force are each presented in a single graph. Experimental test data for different soils and penetrator contours are used to demonstrate the validity of both transient and residual responses. Of great importance in this solution and soil dynamics in general is the advancement of a hypothesis for the dynamic interaction of intergranular stress, pore water pressure, and pore air pressure in the resisting force that retards penetration. Because fundamental dynamic pore pressure theory is used to develop this analysis, basic soil properties (cohesive yield strength, density, and degree of saturation) are used to characterize the cohesive soil.  相似文献

By means of the perturbation method, this paper presents an approximate solution for large deflection of clamped circular plate under uniform pressure together with a concentrated load at the center. The special case of vanishing central deflection is also discussed. In this paper, a load distribution function is introduced so as to make the compound loads depend on a single load parameter, and average angular deflection is used as the single displacement perturbation parameter.  相似文献

Applied stresses on a residual stress model have previously been obtained by measuring the residual stresses and the resultant stresses generated by applying a load. The present paper reports that the applied stresses and the residual stresses on the residual stress model can be obtained by measuring two resultant stresses generated by applying loads of two different magnitudes. In the proposed method, the residual stresses need not be obtained from the residual stress model before applying a load. The residual stress model used to test the proposed method is a circular disk with frozen stresses that is subjected to a diametral compressive load at a certain angle. The applied stresses and the residual stresses on a residual stress model were experimentally and precisely obtained by digital photoelasticity using linearly polarized light.  相似文献
