By using a molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) as a recognition element, the design and construction of a high selective voltammetric sensor for para-nitrophenol was formed. Para-nitrophenol selective MIP and a non-imprinted polymer (NIP) were synthesized, and then used for carbon paste (CP) electrode preparation. The MIP-CP electrode showed greater recognition ability in comparison to the NIP-CP. It was shown that electrode washing after para-nitrophenol extraction led to enhanced selectivity, without noticeably decreasing the sensitivity. Some parameters affecting sensor response were optimized and a calibration curve was plotted. A dynamic linear range of 8 × 10−9 to 5 × 10−6 mol L−1 was obtained. The detection limit of the sensor was calculated as 3 × 10−9 mol L−1. Thus, this sensor was used successfully for the para-nitrophenol determination in different water samples.  相似文献

Silymarin is one of the most powerful natural substances that have the ability to protect and rebuild the liver cells damaged by alcohol and other toxic substances. Silymarin showed two irreversible anodic peaks in buffered solutions (pH 2.5-8.0) at either the bare carbon paste electrode or the montmorillonite-Ca modified carbon paste one. These two peaks have been attributed to oxidation of the two phenolic OH groups at positions C-20 and C-7 of silymarin molecule. A square-wave adsorptive anodic stripping voltammetry method was optimized for determination of silymarin utilizing the bare and the modified carbon paste electrodes. The method was fully validated and successfully applied for the determination of silymarin in commercial formulations and human serum without prior extraction utilizing both carbon paste electrodes. Limits of quantitation of 1 × 10−7 and 7 × 10−9 mol L−1 silymarin have been achieved in bulk form or in formulations while 2 × 10−7 and 8 × 10−9 mol L−1 silymarin were achieved in spiked human serum utilizing the bare carbon paste electrode and the modified one, respectively. The two electrodes exhibited excellent selectivity towards silymarin even in the presence of 102to 103-fold excess of its co-formulated drugs, common excipients, and common metal ions. The pharmacokinetic parameters of silymarin in plasma of healthy human volunteers were estimated following the administration of a single oral dose of 120 mg silymarin utilizing the modified carbon paste electrode. The estimated pharmacokinetic parameters were favorably compared with those reported in literature.  相似文献

A solid paraffin-based carbon paste electrode modified with 2-aminothiazole organofunctionalized silica (SiAt-SPCPE) was applied to Ni2+ determination in commercial ethanol fuel samples. The proposed method comprised four steps: (1) Ni2+ preconcentration at open circuit potential directly in the ethanol fuel sample, (2) transference of the electrode to an electrochemical cell containing DMG, (3) differential pulse voltammogram registering and (4) surface regeneration by polishing the electrode. The proposed method combines the high Ni2+ adsorption capacity presented by 2-aminothiazole organofunctionalized silica with the electrochemical properties of the Ni(DMG)2 complex, whose electrochemical reduction provides the analytical signal. All experimental parameters involved in the proposed method were optimized. Using a preconcentration time of 20 min, it was obtained a linear range from 7.5 × 10−9 to 1.0 × 10−6 mol L−1 with detection limit of 2.0 × 10−9 mol L−1. Recovery values between 96.5 and 102.4% were obtained for commercial samples spiked with 1.0 μmol L−1 Ni2+ and the developed electrode was totally stable in ethanolic solutions. The contents of Ni2+ found in the commercial samples using the proposed method were compared to those obtained by graphite furnace atomic absorption spectroscopy by using the F- and t-test. Neither the F- nor t-values exceeded the critical values at 95% confidence level, confirming that there are not statistical differences between the results obtained by both methods. These results indicate that the developed electrode can be successfully employed to reliable Ni2+ determination in commercial ethanol fuel samples without any sample pretreatment or dilution step.  相似文献

Titanium phosphate grafted on the surface of silica gel (devoted briefly as Si-TiPH) was synthesized and used as bulk modifier to fabricate a renewable three-dimensional chemically modified electrode. The Si-TiPH bulk modified carbon paste electrode was used for the selective determination of dopamine (DA) in the presence of ascorbic acid (AA). The modified electrode offers an excellent and stable response for the determination of DA in the presence of AA. The differential pulse voltammetry peak current was found to be linear with the DA concentration in the range 2 × 10−7 to 1 × 10−6 and 2 × 10−6 to 6 × 10−5 mol L−1. The detection limit of the proposed method in the presence of 2.0 × 10−5 M of AA was found to be 4.3 × 10−8 mol L−1 for DA determination. The proposed method was successfully applied for the determination of DA in injections.  相似文献

The influence of the boron-doping levels in boron-doped diamond film electrodes on the electrochemical response of nitrofurantoin (NFT) and the development of an electroanalytical procedure for NFT determination were investigated. The investigations were carried out using the techniques of cyclic voltammetry and square wave voltammetry on diamond film electrodes with different boron-doping levels (i.e., 5000, 10,000 and 20,000 mg L−1). The level of boron-doping in the diamond film electrodes influenced the electrochemical reduction of NFT. The appropriate cyclic voltammetric response of NFT was obtained with Britton-Robinson buffer at pH 4 and for diamond films doped with 10,000 and 20,000 mg L−1 of boron. These two films were selected for the development of the electroanalytical procedure. The use of square wave voltammetry with the optimized parameters demonstrated a good linear relationship between the peak current and the NFT concentration for a wide range of concentration. The lower limit of detection for the electrodes doped with 10,000 and 20,000 mg L−1 of boron were 2.69 × 10−8 mol L−1 (6.40 μg L−1) and 8.15 × 10−9 mol L−1 (1.94 μg L−1), respectively, while the lower limits of quantification were 8.96 × 10−8 mol L−1 (21.33 μg L−1) and 2.72 × 10−8 mol L−1 (6.47 μg L−1), respectively. The applicability of the proposed procedure was tested using a commercial pharmaceutical formulation of NFT, and the results were compared with the procedure recommended by the British Pharmacopeia. The proposed procedure was sensitive, accurate and precise for analysis of NFT and did not require complex preparations or renovations of the electrode surface. This presents the advantage of eliminating mercury waste and minimizing the adsorptive problems related to the use of other electrodic solid surfaces.  相似文献

Benorilate was determined by the differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) using a carbon paste electrode modified by silver nanoparticles in 1.25 × 10−3 mol l−1 KH2PO4 and Na2HPO4 buffer solution (pH = 6.88, 25 °C) .The anodic peak potential was +0.970 V (versus SCE). A good linear relationship was realized between the anodic peak currents and benorilate concentrations in the range of 1.0 × 10−7 to 2.5 × 10−4 mol l−1 with the detection limit of 1.0 × 10−8 mol l−1. The recovery was 95.2-103.6% with the relative standard deviation of 3.6% (n = 9). The pharmaceutical preparations, benorilate tablets samples and its metabolite (salicylic acid) in urine were determined with the desirable results.  相似文献

An ionic liquid modified carbon paste electrode (IL/CPE) had been fabricated by using hydrophilic ionic liquid 1-amyl-3-methylimidazolium bromide ([AMIM]Br) as a modifier. The IL/CPE was characterized by scanning electron microscope and voltammetry. Electrochemical behavior of rutin at the IL/CPE had been investigated in pH 3.29 Britton-Robinson (B-R) buffer solution by cyclic voltammetry (CV) and square wave voltammetry (SWV). The experimental results suggested that the modified electrode exhibited an electrocatalytic activity toward the redox of rutin. The electron transfer coefficient (α) and the standard rate constant (ks) of rutin at the modified electrode were calculated. Under the selected conditions, the reduction peak current was linearly dependent on the concentration of rutin in the range of 4.0 × 10−8 to 1.0 × 10−5 mol L−1 (r = 0.9998), with a detection limit of 1.0 × 10−8 mol L−1 (S/N = 3). The relative standard deviation (R.S.D.) for six times successful determination of 8.0 × 10−7 mol L−1 rutin was 1.2%. The proposed method was applied to determine rutin in tablet and urine sample. In addition, the IL/CPE exhibited a distinct advantage of simple preparation, surface renewal, good reproducibility and good stability.  相似文献

A highly efficient noradrenalin (NA) biosensor was fabricated on the basis of hematoxylin electrodeposited on a glassy carbon electrode, GCE. The cyclic voltammetric responses of the hematoxylin biosensor at various scan rates, which were obtained in a 0.25 mmol L−1 NA solution, showed the characteristic shape typical of an ECcat process. The kinetic parameters such as electron transfer coefficient, α, the catalytic electron transfer rate constant, k′, and the standard catalytic electron transfer rate constant, k0, for oxidation of NA at the hematoxylin biosensor surface were estimated using cyclic and RDE voltammetry. The peaks of differential pulse voltammetric (DPV) for NA and acetaminophen (AC) oxidation at the hematoxylin biosensor surface were clearly separated from each other when they co-exited in the physiological pH (pH 7.0). It was, therefore, possible to simultaneously determine NA and AC in the samples at a hematoxylin biosensor. Linear calibration curves were obtained for 5.0 × 10−1 to 65.40 μmol L−1 and 65.40-274.20 μmol L−1 of NA, and for 12.00-59.10 μmol L−1 and 59.10-261.70 μmol L−1 of AC. The sensitivities of the biosensor to NA in the absence and presence of AC were found virtually the same, which indicates the fact that the electrocatalytic oxidation processes of NA are independent of AC and, therefore, simultaneous or independent measurements of the two analytes (NA and AC) are possible without any interference. The results of 16 successive measurements show an average voltammetric peak current of 1.13 ± 0.03 μA for an electrolyte solution containing 5.00 μmol L−1 NA. The hematoxylin biosensor has been satisfactorily used for the determination of NA and AC in pharmaceutical formulations. The results obtained, using the biosensor, are in very good agreement with those declared in the label of pharmaceutical inhalation products.  相似文献

We report about the use of carbon paste electrode modified with kaolinite for analytical detection of trace lead(II) in domestic water by differential pulse voltammetry. Kaolinite clay was modified with tripolyphosphate (TPP) by impregnation method. The results show that TPP in kaolinite clay plays an important role in the accumulation process of Pb(II) on the modified electrode surface. The electroanalytical procedure for determination of Pb(II) comprised two steps: chemical accumulation of the analyte under open-circuit conditions, followed by electrochemical detection of the pre-concentrated species using differential pulse voltammetry. The analytical performance of this system has been explored by studying the effects of preconcentration time, carbon paste composition, pH, supporting electrolyte concentration, as well as interferences due to other ions. The calculated detection limit based on the variability of a blank solution (3sb criterion) for 10 measurements was 8.4 × 10−8 mol L−1, and the sensitivity determined from the slope of the calibration graph was 0.910 mol L−1. The reproducibility (RSD) for five replicate measurements at 1.0 mg L−1 lead level was 1.6%. The results indicate that this electrode is sensitive and effective for the determination of Pb2+.  相似文献

A sensitive method is described for the determination of trace bismuth based on the bismuth-bromopyrogallol red (BPR) adsorption at a carbon paste electrode (CPE). The overall analysis involved a three-step procedure: accumulation, reduction, and anodic stripping. Optimal conditions were found to be an electrode containing 25% paraffin oil and 75% high purity graphite powder, a 0.30 mol l−1 HCl solution containing 2.0×10−5 mol l−1 BPR as supporting medium; accumulation potential and time, −0.10 V, 3 min; reduction potential and time, −0.35 V, 60 s; scan rate 100 mV s−1; scan range from −0.35 to 0.15 V. It was found that the Bi(III)-BPR complex could be accumulated on the electrode surface during the accumulation period. Then the Bi(III) in the Bi(III)-BPR complex on the CPE surface was reduced to Bi(0) during reduction interval and finally reoxidized during the anodic stripping step for voltammetric quantification. Factors affecting the accumulation, reduction, and stripping steps were investigated. Interferences by other ions were studied as well. The detection limit was found to be 5×10−10 mol l−1 with a 3 min accumulation time. The linear range was from 1.0×10−9 to 5.0×10−7 mol l−1. Application of the procedure to the determination of bismuth in water and human hair samples gave good results.  相似文献

The preparation and electrochemical characterization of a carbon paste electrode modified with layered birnessite-type manganese oxide for use as a sodium sensor is described. The effects of powder synthesis process (sol-gel and redox precipitation) for birnessite on the electrochemical activity of the sensor was investigated by cyclic voltammetry. The carbon paste electrode modified with birnessite-type manganese oxide that was synthesized by the sol-gel method showed a best electrochemical for sodium ions. The detection is based on the measurement of anodic current generated by oxidation of Mn(III) to Mn(IV) at the surface of the electrode and consequently the sodium ions extraction into the birnessite structure. The best voltammetric response was obtained for an electrode composition of 15% (w/w) birnessite oxide in the paste, a TRIS buffer solution of pH 8.0 and a scan rate of 50 mV s−1. A sensitive linear voltammetric response for sodium ions was obtained in the concentration range of 7.89 × 10−5 to 3.49 × 10−4 mol L−1 with a slope of 37.5 μA L mmol−1 and a detection limit (3σ/slope) of 3.43 × 10−5 mol L−1 using cyclic voltammetry. Under the working conditions, the proposed method was successfully applied to determination of sodium ions in urine samples.  相似文献

A biomimetic sensor for the determination of dipyrone was prepared by modifying carbon paste with cobalt phthalocyanine (CoPc), and used as an amperometric detector in a flow injection analysis (FIA) system. The results of cyclic voltammetry experiments suggested that CoPc behaved as a biomimetic catalyst in the electrocatalytic oxidation of dipyrone, which involved the transfer of one electron. The optimized FIA procedure employed a flow rate of 1.5 mL min−1, a 75 μL sample loop, a 0.1 mol L−1 phosphate buffer carrier solution at pH 7.0 and amperometric detection at a potential of 0.3 V vs. Ag/AgCl. Under these conditions, the proposed method showed a linear response for dipyrone concentrations in the range 5.0 × 10−6-6.3 × 10−3 mol L−1. Selectivity and interference studies were carried out in order to validate the system for use with pharmaceutical and environmental samples. In addition to being environmentally friendly, the proposed method is a sensitive and selective analytical tool for the determination of dipyrone.  相似文献

In this paper, a polyamide-modified carbon paste electrode in capillary zone electrophoresis with amperometric detection (CZE-AD) was firstly applied to the determination of four carbamate pesticides: fenobucarb, isoprocarb, metolcarb and carbaryl. The four carbamates were hydrolyzed in alkalescent aqueous solutions, resulting in the formation of 2-sec-butylphenol, 2-isopropylphenol, m-cresol and α-naphthol, which could be determined by amperometry after capillary electrophoretic separation. Under the selected optimum conditions, the four analytes could be perfectly separated within 23 min. The linear ranges of 2-sec-butylphenol, 2-isopropylphenol and m-cresol were from 1.0 × 10−7 to 2.0 × 10−5 mol L−1 and that of α-naphthol was from 2.0 × 10−7 to 2.0 × 10−5 mol L−1 and their detection limits were 3.0 × 10−8, 3.0 × 10−8, 3.0 × 10−8 and 6.0 × 10−8 mol L−1, respectively (S/N = 3). Fenobucarb, isoprocarb, metolcarb and carbaryl can be indirectly determined by this CZE-AD method with recovery of 105, 104, 110 and 98% and R.S.D. of 4, 3, 4 and 3%, respectively. Above results demonstrated that this method was of high sensitivity, good repeatability and could be used in the rapid determination of the pesticide residues.  相似文献

A sensitive and selective method was developed for the determination of N-acetyl-p-aminophenol (APAP) and p-aminophenol (PAP) using poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) (PEDOT)-modified glassy carbon electrode (GCE). Cyclic voltammetry and differential pulse voltammetry were used to investigate the electrochemical reaction of APAP and PAP at the modified electrode. Both APAP and PAP showed quasireversible redox reactions with formal potentials of 367 mV and 101 mV (vs. Ag/AgCl), respectively, in phosphate buffer solution of pH 7.0. The significant peak potential difference (266 mV) between APAP and PAP enabled the simultaneous determination both species based on differential pulse voltammetry. The voltammetric responses gave linear ranges of 1.0 × 10−6-1.0 × 10−4 mol L−1 and 4.0 × 10−6-3.2 × 10−4 mol L−1, with detection limits of 4.0 × 10−7 mol L−1 and 1.2 × 10−6 mol L−1 for APAP and PAP, respectively. The method was successfully applied for the determination of APAP and PAP in pharmaceutical formulations and biological samples.  相似文献

The importance of cysteine (Cys) in biological systems has stimulated a great deal of efforts in the development of analytical methods for the determination of this amino acid. In this work, a novel fluorescent probe for Cys based on citrate (Cit)-capped CdS quantum dots (QDs) is reported. The Cit-capped CdS QDs fluorescent probe offers good sensitivity and selectivity for detecting Cys. A good linear relationship was obtained from 1.0 × 10−8 mol L−1 to 5.0 × 10−5 mol L−1 for Cys. The detection limit was calculated as 5.4 × 10−9 mol L−1. The proposed method was applied to detect Cys in human urine samples, which showed satisfactory results. This assay is based on both the lability of Cit and the strong affinity of thiols to the surface of CdS QDs. The addition of Cys improved the passivation of the surface traps of CdS QDs and enhanced the fluorescence intensity.  相似文献

A modified carbon paste electrode based on multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) and 3-(4-methoxybenzylideneamino)-2-thioxothiazolodin-4-one as a new synthesized Schiff base was constructed for the simultaneous determination of trace amounts of Hg(II) and Pb(II) by square wave anodic stripping voltammetry. The modified electrode showed an excellent selectivity and stability for Hg(II) and Pb(II) determinations and for accelerated electron transfer between the electrode and the analytes. The electrochemical properties and applications of the modified electrode were studied. Operational parameters such as pH, deposition potential and deposition time were optimized for the purpose of determination of traces of metal ions at pH 3.0. Under optimal conditions the limits of detection, based on three times the background noise, were 9.0 × 10−4 and 6.0 × 10−4 μmol L−1 for Hg(II) and Pb(II) with a 90 s preconcentration, respectively. In addition, the modified electrode displayed a good reproducibility and selectivity, making it suitable for the simultaneous determination of Hg(II) and Pb(II) in real samples such as sea water, waste water, tobacco, marine and human teeth samples.  相似文献

The preparation and electrochemical characterization of a carbon paste electrode modified with the N,N-ethylene-bis(salicylideneiminato)oxovanadium(IV) complex [VO(Salen)] as well as its behavior in relation to the oxidation of pyridoxine (Vitamin B6) are described. The electrochemical behavior of the modified electrode and the electrooxidation of pyridoxine were investigated using cyclic voltammetry. The best voltammetric response was obtained for an electrode composition of 15% (m/m) [VO(Salen)] in the paste, KCl solution of pH 5.5-8.0 and scan rate of 25 mV s−1. A sensitive linear voltammetric response for pyridoxine was obtained in the concentration range of 4.5×10−4 to 3.3×10−3 mol l−1 with a slope of 42.5 μA mmol−1 l, and a detection limit (3σ/slope) of 3.7×10−5 mol l−1 using linear sweep voltammetry. Among several compounds tested only Vitamin B1 seems to interfere in the analyte signal. The concentrations of pyridoxine in pharmaceutical formulations using the proposed electrode and an official spectrophotometric method based in the reaction with N,N-diethyl-p-phenylenediamine are in agreement at the 95% confidence level and within an acceptable range of error.  相似文献

High-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) with tris(2,2′-bipyridyl)ruthenium(II) chemiluminescence detection methodology is reported for the determination of the atypical antipsychotic drug quetiapine and the observation of its major active and inactive metabolites in human urine and serum. The method uses a monolithic chromatographic column allowing high flow rates of 3 mL min−1 enabling rapid quantification. Flow injection analysis (FIA) with tris(2,2′-bipyridyl)ruthenium(II) chemiluminescence detection and HPLC time of flight mass spectrometry (TOF-MS) were used for the determination of quetiapine in a pharmaceutical preparation to establish its suitability as a calibration standard. The limit of detection achieved with FIA was 2 × 10−11 mol L−1 in simple aqueous solution. The limits of detection achieved with HPLC were 7 × 10−8 and 2 × 10−10 mol L−1 in urine and serum, respectively. The calibration range for FIA was between 5 × 10−9 and 1 × 10−6 mol L−1. The calibration ranges for HPLC were between 1 × 10−7-1 × 10−4 and 1 × 10−8-1 × 10−4 mol L−1 in urine and serum, respectively. The quetiapine concentrations in patient samples were found to be 3 × 10−6 mol L−1 in urine and 7 × 10−7 mol L−1 in serum. Without the need for preconcentration, the HPLC detection limits compared favourably with those in previously published methodologies. The metabolites were identified using HPLC-TOF-MS.  相似文献

This paper proposes a new automated spectrophotometric method for the simultaneous determination of phosphate and arsenate without pre-treatment, which is faster, simpler, less expensive and hazardous than other well-known methods used with water samples. Such method is based on the different kinetic characteristics of complex formation of phosphate and arsenate with ammonium molybdate. A flow system was used in order to achieve good mixing and to provide precise time control. All the measurements were performed at the isosbestic point wavelength (885 nm). Chemical variables were optimized by factorial design (ammonium molybdate 0.015 mol L−1, potassium antimony tartrate 1 × 10−4 mol L−1, and sulphuric acid 0.7 mol L−1). An appropriate linear range for both analytes (0.50-8.00 μmol L−1), good inter-day reproducibility (4.9% [P] and 3.3% [P + As]) and a sample throughput of 6 h−1 were obtained. The detection limits are 0.4 μmol L−1 P and 0.19 μmol L−1 [P + As] (3.3 Sy/x). The method was validated.  相似文献

The L-dopa is the immediate precursor of the neurotransmitter dopamine. Unlike dopamine, L-dopa easily enters the central nervous system and is used in the treatment of Parkinson’s disease. A sensitive and selective method is presented for the voltammetric determination of L-dopa in pharmaceutical formulations using a carbon paste electrode modified with trinuclear ruthenium ammine complex [(NH3)5RuIIIORuIV(NH3)4ORuIII(NH3)5]6+ (Ru-red) incorporated in NaY zeolite. The parameters which influence on the electrode response (paste composition, potential scan rate, pH and interference) were also investigated. The optimum conditions were found to an electrode composition (m/m) of 25% zeolite containing 6.7% Ru, 50% graphite and 25% mineral oil in acetate buffer at pH 4.8. Voltammetric peak currents showed a linear response for L-dopa concentration in the range between 1.2×10−4 and 1.0×10−2 mol l−1 (r=0.9988) with a detection limit of 8.5×10−5 mol l−1. The variation coefficient for a 1.0×10−3 mol l−1 L-dopa (n=10) was 5.5%. The results obtained for L-dopa in pharmaceutical formulations (tablet) was in agreement with compared official method. In conclusion, this study has illustrated that the proposed electrode modified with Ru-red incorporated zeolite is suitable valuable for selective measurements of L-dopa.  相似文献
