In this paper, we establish existence theorems for bilevel problems with fixed-point constraints and bilevel problems without fixed-point constraint. The aim of this paper is to investigate under which conditions the existence of a feasible point of a bilevel problem can be assumed in advance and under which conditions there exist minimizers for this type of problems. From this, we establish existence theorems for mathematical programs with equilibrium constraints and semi-infinite problems. The split common fixed-point problem is an inverse problem that consists in finding an element in a fixed-point set such that its image under a linear transformation belongs to another fixed-point set. In this paper, we propose a new algorithm for the split common fixed-point problem that does not need any priori information of the operator norm. Under standard assumptions, we establish a weak convergence theorem of the proposed algorithm.  相似文献

The non-linear contact problem for the parabolic system of second order in the sense of Pietrovski, which is the generalization of the problem considered in Part I (preceding paper), is formulated. The matrix of fundamental solutions for parabolic systems of second order with coefficients containing unknown functions and their first-order derivatives is constructed and used to reduce the problem to the equivalent system of integral equations which is then reduced to a system of Volterra type of the second kind. The existence of the solution of the system obtained is proved by using the Schauder fixed-point theorem.  相似文献

A recent work (Acary et al. 2010) introduces a formulation as a nonsmooth fixed-point problem of a basic problem in numerical mechanics (namely the dynamical Coulomb friction problem in finite dimension with discretized time). Using this new formulation, the existence of a solution to the problem and its numerical resolution are then guaranteed under a strong assumption on the data of this problem. In this paper, we show that the fixed point problem admits solution under a natural, weaker assumption. This existence proof uses a perturbation argument combined with continuity properties of a set-valued mapping associated with the constraints of the problem.  相似文献

The main aim of the paper is to accelerate the existing method for a convex optimization problem over the fixed-point set of a nonexpansive mapping. To achieve this goal, we present an algorithm (Algorithm 3.1) by using the conjugate gradient direction. We present also a convergence analysis (Theorem 3.1) under some assumptions. Finally, to demonstrate the effectiveness and performance of the proposed method, we present numerical comparisons of the existing method with the proposed method.  相似文献

This paper addresses the optimization problem of a spot-welded structure under fatigue life consideration. The so-called umbrella model of spot welds and the radial stresses around a spot weld were introduced into the optimization process. The idea was to study the optimization problem using the type of analysis which is now considered to be valid for fatigue life prediction. Two formations were considered: one maximizes the stiffness of a structure under fatigue life constraints and the other seeks the maximum fatigue life of the structure. The optimization results show that the optimization process has successfully found the global minimum values of the corresponding objective functions for both the formations.  相似文献

The paper deals with the problem of the stability for a model of a population with delayed dependence of the structure. We study an equilibrium age distribution. We also give conditions under which such distribution is exponentially asymptotically stable. The work continues authors’ research which begun in 2009. This paper presents an objective comparison of random fields and interval fields to propagate spatial uncertainty, based on a finite element model of a lunar lander. The impulse based substructuring method is used to improve the analysis efficiency. The spatially uncertain input parameters are modeled by both random fields and interval fields. The objective of this work is to compare the applicability of both approaches in an early design stage under scarce information regarding the occurring spatial parameter variability. Focus is on the definition of the input side of the problem under this scarce knowledge, as well as the interpretation of the analysis outcome. To obtain an objective comparison between both approaches, the gradients in the interval field are tuned towards the gradients present in the random field. The result shows a very similar dependence and correlation structure between the local properties for both approaches. Furthermore, through the transient dynamic estimation, it is shown that the response ranges that are predicted by the interval field and random field are very close to each other.  相似文献

We introduce a new and highly tractable structural model for spot and derivative prices in electricity markets. Using a stochastic model of the bid stack, we translate the demand for power and the prices of generating fuels into electricity spot prices. The stack structure allows for a range of generator efficiencies per fuel type and for the possibility of future changes in the merit order of the fuels. The derived spot price process captures important stylized facts of historical electricity prices, including both spikes and the complex dependence upon its underlying supply and demand drivers. Furthermore, under mild and commonly used assumptions on the distributions of the input factors, we obtain closed-form formulae for electricity forward contracts and for spark and dark spread options. As merit order dynamics and fuel forward prices are embedded into the model, we capture a much richer and more realistic dependence structure than can be achieved by classical reduced-form models. We illustrate these advantages by comparing with Margrabe’s formula and a simple cointegration model, and highlight important implications for the valuation of power plants.  相似文献

This paper investigates the theoretical aspects for an optimal contraception control problem of a linear size-structured population model with extra mortality. The existence of a unique non-negative solution is established by using the Banach fixed-point theorem. The existence of a unique optimal strategy is derived by the Mazur theorem in convex analysis and the optimality conditions are obtained by means of normal cone and adjoint system techniques. Finally, some numerical results demonstrate the effectiveness of the theoretical results in our paper.  相似文献

In this paper we consider a general mathematical model for the collision between the free-fall hammer of a pile-driver and an elastic pile whose ends are furnished with a bearing. When the free-fall hammer collides with the pile, the displacement of a cross-sectional area of the pile is the weak solution of an initial-boundary value problem involving a linear wave equation with memory boundary conditions. We generalize this problem into a nonlinear one with more general boundary conditions. Then we obtain the unique solvability and the regularity of the weak solution of this nonlinear problem. The unique solvability is shortly discussed in regard to the Galerkin method. The regularity result is obtained by a combination of a fixed-point technique and an energy method, and the convenience of this procedure is also pointed out.  相似文献

Independent component analysis (ICA) aims to recover a set of unknown mutually independent components (ICs) from their observed mixtures without knowledge of the mixing coefficients. In the classical ICA model there exists ICs’ indeterminacy on permutation and dilation. Constrained ICA is one of methods for solving this problem through introducing constraints into the classical ICA model. In this paper we first present a new constrained ICA model which composed of three parts: a maximum likelihood criterion as an objective function, statistical measures as inequality constraints and the normalization of demixing matrix as equality constraints. Next, we incorporate the new fixed-point (newFP) algorithm into this constrained ICA model to construct a new constrained fixed-point algorithm. Computation simulations on synthesized signals and speech signals demonstrate that this combination both can eliminate ICs’ indeterminacy to a certain extent, and can provide better performance. Moreover, comparison results with the existing algorithm verify the efficiency of our new algorithm furthermore, and show that it is more simple to implement than the existing algorithm due to its advantage of not using the learning rate. Finally, this new algorithm is also applied for the real-world fetal ECG data, experiment results further indicate the efficiency of the new constrained fixed-point algorithm.  相似文献

The purpose of this paper is to propose a general alternative regularization algorithm for split equality common fixed-point problem of nonexpansive operator in the framework of infinite-dimensional Hilbert spaces. We prove the strong convergence of the proposed algorithm with the stepsizes chosen by two ways. As a consequence, we obtain strong convergence theorems for split equality common fixed-point problem of firmly-nonexpansive operator and split equality problem.
