ABSTRACT

The goal of this paper is to provide systematic approaches to study the feedback control systems governed by evolution equations in separable reflexive Banach spaces. We firstly give some existence results of mild solutions for the equations by applying the Banach's fixed point theorem and the Leray–Schauder alternative fixed point theorem with Lipschitz conditions and some types of boundedness conditions. Next, by using the Filippove theorem and the Cesari property, a new set of sufficient assumptions are formulated to guarantee the existence of feasible pairs for the feedback control systems. Some existence results for an optimal control problem are given. Finally, we apply our main result to obtain a controllability result for semilinear evolution equations and existence results for a class of differential variational inequalities and Clarke's subdifferential inclusions.  相似文献

Abstract In this paper, for two given transition probabilities, the existence of the optimal Markovian coupling with respect to a non-negative lower semi-continuous function is proved. As an application of this result, the well-known Strassen's theorem is generalized. Moreover, it is proved that the existence of an order-preserving Markovian coupling of two given jump processes is equivalent to their stochastical comparability. The Tonelli existence theorem in the calculus of variations and its subsequent modifications were established for integrands f which satisfy convexity and growth conditions. In this paper we consider a large class of optimal control problems which is identified with a complete metric space of integrands without convexity assumptions and show that for a generic integrand the corresponding optimal control problem possesses a unique solution and this solution is Lipschitzian.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

The purpose of this paper is to study the existence of maximal elements with applications to Nash equilibrium problems for generalized games in Hadamard manifolds. By employing a KKM lemma, we establish a new maximal element theorem in Hadamard manifolds. As applications, some existence results of Nash equilibria for generalized games are derived. The results in this paper unify, improve and extend some known results from the literature.  相似文献

The purpose of this paper is twofold. First, we present the existence theorem of an optimal trajectory in a nonconvex variational problem with recursive integral functionals by employing the norm-topology of a weighted Sobolev space. We show the continuity of the integral functional and the compactness of the set of admissible trajectories. Second, we show that a recursive integrand is represented by a normal integrand under the conditions guaranteeing the existence of optimal trajectories. We also demonstrate that if the recursive integrand satisfies the convexity conditions, then the normal integrand is a convex function. These results are achieved by the application of the representation theorem in Lp-spaces.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider a class of nonlinear matrix equation of the type \(X+\sum _{i=1}^mA_i^{*}X^{-q}A_i-\sum _{j=1}^nB_{j}^{*}X^{-r}B_j=Q\), where \(0<q,\,r\le 1\) and Q is positive definite. Based on the Schauder fixed point theorem and Bhaskar–Lakshmikantham coupled fixed point theorem, we derive some sufficient conditions for the existence and uniqueness of the positive definite solution to such equations. An iterative method is provided to compute the unique positive definite solution. A perturbation estimation and the explicit expression of Rice condition number of the unique positive definite solution are also established. The theoretical results are illustrated by numerical examples.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

We study the traveling waves of reaction-diffusion equations for a diffusive SEIR model with a general nonlinear incidence. The existence of traveling waves is determined by the basic reproduction number of the corresponding ordinary differential equations and the minimal wave speed. Its proof is showed by introducing an auxiliary system, applying Schauder fixed point theorem and then a limiting argument. The non-existence proof is obtained by two-sided Laplace transform when the speed is less than the critical velocity. Finally, we present some examples to support our theoretical results.  相似文献

This paper considers the existence of positive solutions of four-point boundary value problems for fourth-order ordinary differential equations with deviating arguments and p-Laplacian. We discuss such problems in the cases when the deviating arguments are delayed or advanced, what may concern optimization issues related to some technical problems. To obtain the existence results, a fixed point theorem for cones due to Avery and Peterson is applied. According to the Author’s knowledge, the results are new. It is a first paper where a fixed point theorem for cones is applied to fourth-order differential equations with deviating arguments and p-Laplacian. An example is included to verify the theoretical results.  相似文献

Existence of bounded positive solutions of a class of quasi-linear elliptic equation is obtained in exterior domain of R N , N ≥ 1. Firstly, by using fixed point theory, the existence theorem of a class of ordinary differential equation is established. Then, by constructing super-solution and sub-solution, the existence of bounded positive solutions of quasi-linear elliptic equation is given. This paper investigates the existence of periodic solutions of a three-species food-chain diffusive system with Beddington-DeAngelis functional responses and time delays in a two-patch environment on time scales. By using a continuation theorem based on coincidence degree theory, we obtain sufficient criteria for the existence of periodic solutions for the system. Moreover, when the time scale T is chosen as R or Z, the existence of the periodic solutions of the corresponding continuous and discrete models follows. Therefore, the method is unified to provide the existence of the desired solutions for continuous differential equations and discrete difference equations.  相似文献

In this paper, the stabilized mixed finite element methods are presented for the Navier‐Stokes equations with damping. The existence and uniqueness of the weak solutions are proven by use of the Brouwer fixed‐point theorem. Then, optimal error estimates for the H1‐norm and L2‐norm of the velocity and the L2‐norm of the pressure are derived. Moreover, on the basis of the optimal L2‐norm error estimate of the velocity, a stabilized two‐step method is proposed, which is more efficient than the usual stabilized methods. Finally, two numerical examples are implemented to confirm the theoretical analysis.  相似文献

In this paper, we study a problem of optimal harvesting from a stochastic system modeled by a geometric Lévy process. A verification theorem of the variational inequality type is also given and proved. The paper has been motivated by I. Elsanosi et al. [Stochastics Stochastics Rep. (2000)], where the authors considered an optimal harvesting problem with price dynamics following a stochastic differential delay equation.  相似文献

The purpose of this paper is to study a class of semilinear differential variational systems with nonlocal boundary conditions, which are obtained by mixing semilinear evolution equations and generalized variational inequalities. First we prove essential properties of the solution set for generalized variational inequalities. Then without requiring any compactness condition for the evolution operator or for the nonlinear term, two existence results for mild solutions are established by applying a weak topology technique combined with a fixed point theorem.  相似文献

In this paper, a retarded competition and cooperation model of two enterprises is investigated. We first prove that the existence of the unique positive equilibrium for the mentioned model. By choosing the delay τ as a bifurcation parameter, we show that Hopf bifurcation at the positive equilibrium of the system can occur as τ crosses some critical values. Further, using the normal form theory and center manifold theorem, we derive the explicit algorithm determining the direction of Hopf bifurcations and the stability of the bifurcating periodic solutions. Finally, some numerical simulations supporting our theoretical results and the economic meaning of model are also included.  相似文献
