The aryl substituent has been shown to affect the fragmentation and abundance of skeletal rearrangement ions in the spectra of aryl sulphonyl chlorides and sulphonic acids. The spectra of 2-hydroxy and 2-chloroethyl aryl sulphones contain [aryl SO]+ ions, suggesting that alkyl migration has competed successfully with aryl migration to the electron deficient oxygen atom.  相似文献

We report here a fast, easy, and efficient method for the preparation of aryl nitriles from aryl bromides and chlorides. The methodology for aryl bromides involves the use of either Ni(CN)(2) or NaCN and NiBr(2). With aryl chlorides, a mix of NaCN and NiBr(2) is used and the reaction proceeds via the in situ formation of the corresponding aryl bromide. The reaction can be performed in air and is complete within 10 min.  相似文献

Aryl methyl ethers, methyl esters, aryl esters, and aryl sulfonates are chemoselectively deprotected under nonhydrolytic conditions by treatment with Ph(2)S(2) (0.6 equiv) and Na (1.6 equiv) in NMP under reflux or at 90 degrees C. Quantitative utilization of the 'PhS' moiety as the effective nucleophilic species represents conservation of atom economy. Other solvents such as HMPA, DMPU, DMEU, and DMF afforded comparable results. Chloro, nitro, aldehyde, alpha,alpha-diketone, and alpha,beta-unsaturated ketone functionalities remain unaffected. The deprotection was found to take place in the order aryl ester > alkyl ester > aryl alkyl ether. Substrates bearing strong electron-withdrawing groups react at a faster rate than those not having such substitution. The differences in rate of reaction has been exploited for selective deprotection for intramolecular competition. An aryl acetate/benzoate is deprotected selectively in preference to a methyl ester or aryl methyl ether. Selective deprotection of a methyl ester is observed in the presence of an aryl alkyl ether.  相似文献

The Balz–Schiemann reaction remains a highly utilized means for preparing aryl fluorides from anilines. However, the limitations associated with handling aryl diazonium salts often hinder both the substrate scope and scalability of this reaction. To address this, a new continuous flow protocol was developed that eliminates the need to isolate the aryl diazonium salts. An orthogonal set of Cu-catalysts for the selective mono-arylation of alkyl aryl diols using aryl iodides is presented. Picolinic acid ligated copper catalyst provided phenol O-arylation only, while alkyl aryl ethers are generated by ligand-free copper catalyst in the presence of 2 equivalents NaOt-Bu.  相似文献

The coupling of aromatic electrophiles (aryl halides, aryl ethers, aryl acids, aryl nitriles etc.) with nucleophiles is a core methodology for the synthesis of aryl compounds. Transformations of aryl ketones in an analogous manner via carbon–carbon bond activation could greatly expand the toolbox for the synthesis of aryl compounds due to the abundance of aryl ketones. An exploratory study of this approach is typically based on carbon–carbon cleavage triggered by ring-strain release and chelation assistance, and the products are also limited to a specific structural motif. Here we report a ligand-promoted β-carbon elimination strategy to activate the carbon–carbon bonds, which results in a range of transformations of aryl ketones, leading to useful aryl borates, and also to biaryls, aryl nitriles, and aryl alkenes. The use of a pyridine-oxazoline ligand is crucial for this catalytic transformation. A gram-scale borylation reaction of an aryl ketone via a simple one-pot operation is reported. The potential utility of this strategy is also demonstrated by the late-stage diversification of drug molecules probenecid, adapalene, and desoxyestrone, the fragrance tonalid as well as the natural product apocynin.  相似文献

Helix structures at atomic/molecular level have not been found in self-assembled peptide seque nce with less than three residues.As β-sheet supramolecular secondary structures have been discovered in solidstate amino acids,we here report the conjugation of simple N-terminal aryl protecting group could give rise to helical supramolecular secondary structures in solid-state,which determines the optical activities of the adjacent aryl groups.The carboxylic acid-involved asymmetric H-bonds in N-te rminal aryl amino acids induce the emergence of super-helical structures of amino acid residues and aryl groups.In most cases,supramolecular tilted chirality of aryl groups is opposite to that of amino acid sequences,of which handedness and helical pitch are determined by the H-bond modalities.Determining correlation between supramolecular tilted chirality of aryl segments and their chiroptical activities is firstly unveiled,which was verified by the computational results based on density functional theory.Most aryl amino acids self-assembled by nanoprecipitation method via crystallization induced self-assembly into rigid one-dimensional microstructures with ultra-high Young's modulus.This study reveals the generic existence of chiral supramolecular structure s in aggregated amino acid derivatives and gives an in-depth investigation into the structural-property relationships,which could guide the rational design and screening of chiroptical supramolecular materials.  相似文献

This study details Ni-catalyzed cross coupling of aryl Grignard reagents with aryl halides in toluene, a nonpolar solvent with a high boiling point. The reaction was applied for the synthesis of various biaryls in good yields without the introduction of a large steric ligand. The Kumada-Tamao-Corriu(KTC) reaction in toluene was then successfully modified to proceed under neat conditions for the efficient syntheses of symmetrical biaryls, particularly in large-scale preparations. Unactivated aryl chlorides show higher reactivity than aryl bromides, particularly under neat conditions. Mechanistic investigations suggest a radical procedure for the catalytic cycle, and the origin of the radical intermediates being aryl halides.  相似文献

Heck reactions of aryl halides with various olefins and Suzuki reactions of aryl halides with phenylboronic acid catalyzed by palladaphosphacyclobutene have been investigated. The scope of the Heck reaction has been investigated in N,N‐dimethylacetamide at 140 °C using NaOAc as base. Using 0.1% molar ratio of palladaphosphacyclobuyenes, aryl bromides were converted into 1,2‐substitutedethene products in good to high yields through coupling with both vinylarenes and acrylates. Actived aryl chloride reacted with styrene to afford 1,2‐substitutedethene products in moderate yields. The scope of the Suzuki reaction has been conducted in toluene at 110 °C using Cs2CO3 as base. Using 0.1% molar ratio of palladaphosphacyclobutene, aryl bromides reacted with phenylboronic acid to afford diaryl derivatives in excellent yield. Copyright © 2008 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

The unique orientation effects observed in the alkali metal-ammonia reactions of aromatic compounds are considered from a molecular orbital viewpoint. The Birch rule governing the reduction of substituted aromatics, the peculiar effect of substituents on the ease of hydrogenolysis of benzyl alcohols, the similar effect in the dealkylation and dearylation of alkyl aryl ethers and aryl ethers, the course of dealkoxylation of alkyl aryl ethers, are all found to be reasonably accommodated by molecular orbital theory.  相似文献

8-Hydroxyquinolin-N-oxide was found to be a very efficient ligand for the copper-catalyzed hydroxylation of aryl iodides, aryl bromides, or aryl chlorides under mild reaction conditions. This methodology provides a direct transformation of aryl halides to phenols and to alkyl aryl ethers.
