This paper presents experimental and theoretical investigations into excited‐state intramolecular proton transfer (ESIPT) in new chromophores with hydroxyl and imino groups under one‐ and two‐photon excitation. The results show that internal hydrogen bonding exhibits a remarkable influence on the maximum absorption wavelength of 2‐[(4′‐N,N‐diethylaminodiphenylethylene‐4‐ylimino)methyl]phenol ( C1 ) and 2‐[(4′‐methoxyl‐diphenylethylene‐4‐ylimino)methyl]phenol ( C3 ). Compounds C1 and C3 exhibit well‐separated dual fluorescence emission bands under one‐ and two‐photon excitation. The second fluorescence peaks of C1 and C3 are characterized by much larger Stokes shift than the first normal peaks (ca. 140 vs. 30 nm). 4‐[(4′‐N,N‐Diethylaminodiphenylethylene‐4‐ylimino)methyl]phenol ( C2 ) and 4‐[(4′‐methoxyldiphenylethylene‐4‐ylimino)methyl]phenol ( C4 ) display single emission bands with small Stokes shifts (ca. 30 nm) in various solvents under one‐ and two‐photon excitation. Furthermore, the first emission maxima of C1 and C3 are almost identical to the maximum fluorescence emission wavelengths of C2 and C4 , respectively. These results show that C1 and C3 can undergo ESIPT via a reasonable six‐membered ring, while there is no ESIPT in C2 and C4 under one‐ and two‐photon excitation. Compounds C1 and C2 have larger two‐photon absorption cross‐sections under various near‐infrared laser frequencies tuned from 700 to 880 nm. Molecular geometry optimization of the phototautomers (enol and keto) was performed to analyze the experimental results. The possibility of using these chromophores for metal ions as chemosensors of was thoroughly investigated. In DMF C3 exhibits excellent sensing responses to Zn2+ and Fe3+ ions through a greatly increased greatly and a largely reduced emission, respectively. In methanol disappearance of ESIPT emission with added Zn2+ ions confirms its existence. The binding constants of C3 with Zn2+ and Fe3+ ions in DMF are also estimated.  相似文献

In this paper, we described the synthesis and characterization of new diphenylethylene bearing imino group. We concentrated particularly on the investigation of the possibility of the excited state intramolecular charge transfer (ESIPT) of the new dyes experimentally and theoretically. The absorption and fluorescence spectroscopy of the dyes were determined in various solvents. The results showed that the maximal absorption wavelength of 2‐[(4′‐N,N‐dimethylamino‐diphenylethylene‐4‐ylimino)methyl]phenol ( C1 ) and 4‐[(4′‐N,N‐dimethylamino‐diphenylethylene‐4‐ylimino)methyl]phenol ( C2 ) exhibited almost independence on the solvent polarity. While as contrast, the maximal fluorescence wavelength of the dyes showed somewhat dependence on the solvent polarity. In particular, C1 displayed well‐separated dual fluorescence spectroscopy. The second fluorescence peak was characterized with an "abnormal" fluorescence emission wavelength in aprotic solvents with large Stokes shift (ca. 140 nm in THF), which was much more than normal Stokes shift (ca. 30 nm in THF). This emission spectroscopy could be assigned to ESIPT emission. On the other hand, the ESIPT fluorescence of C1 was much reduced or lost in the protic solvents. While, only normal fluorescence emission was detected in various solvents. Although the absorption maxima of C1 exhibited about 10 nm red‐shift with respect to those of C2 , the normal fluorescence maxima of C1 and C2 were almost identical in various solvents. These results suggested that C1 could undergo ESIPT, but C2 was not able to proceed ESIPT. The molecular geometry optimization of phototautomers in the ground electronic state (S0) was carried out with HF method (Hartree‐Fock) and at DFT level (Density Functional Theory) using B3LYP both, while the CIS was employed to optimize the geometries of the first singlet excited state (S1) of the phototautomers of C1 and C2 respectively. The properties of the ground state and the excited state of the phototautomers of C1 and C2 , including the geometrical parameter, the energy, the frontier orbits, the Mulliken charge and the dipole moment change were performed and compared completely. The data were analyzed further based on our experimental results. Furthermore, the absorption and fluorescence spectra were calculated in theory and compared with the measured ones. The rate constant of internal proton transfer (9.831×1011 s?1) of C1 was much lower than that of salicylidene methylamine ( C3 , 2.045×1015 s?1), which was a typical Schiff base compound and was well demonstrated to undergo ESIPT easily under photoexcitation.  相似文献

An intensive investigation of structure–property relationships in the aggregation‐induced enhanced emission (AIEE) of luminescent compounds is essential for the rational design of highly emissive solid‐state materials. In the AIEE‐active compounds N,N′‐bis[3‐hydroxy‐4‐(2′‐benzothiazolyl)phenyl]isophthalamide and N,N′‐bis[3‐hydroxy‐4‐(2′‐benzothiazolyl)phenyl]‐5‐tert‐butylisophthalamide, fast photoinduced twisted intramolecular charge transfer (TICT) of the enol excited state is found to be mainly responsible for the weak emission of their dilute solutions. The photoinduced TICT enol excited state is formed with a greatly distorted configuration, due to the large rotation about the C? N single bond. This facilitates nonradiative TICT decay from the normal enol excited state to the highly twisted enol excited state, rather than proton‐transfer decay to the keto excited state. In aggregates, photoinduced nonradiative deactivation of TICT is strongly prohibited, so that excited‐state intramolecular proton transfer (ESIPT) becomes the dominant decay, and hence contributes greatly to the subsequent emission enhancement of the keto form. Molecular design and investigation of analogous single‐armed compounds further verifies this kind of AIEE mechanism.  相似文献

In this work, we devote to explore excited‐state intramolecular proton transfer (ESIPT) behavior for a novel fluorescent molecule naphthalimide‐based 2‐(2‐hydroxyphenyl)‐benzothiazole (HNIBT) [New J. Chem. 2019, 43, 9152.] in toluene and methanol (MeOH) solvents. Exploring weak interactions, stable HNIBT‐enol, and HNIBT‐MeOH‐enol complex can be found in S0 state via TDDFT/B3LYP/6‐311+G(d,p) level. Given photoexcitation, intramolecular hydrogen bond O1? H2···N3 of HNIBT‐enol and HNIBT‐MeOH‐enol is dramatically enhanced, which offers impetus for facilitates ESIPT reaction. After repeated comparisons, we verify the unavailability of intermolecular hydrogen bonding effects between HNIBT‐enol and MeOH molecules. In view of excitation, HOMO (π) → LUMO (π*) transition and the changes of electronical densities indeed impulse ESIPT tendency. Via constructing potential energy curves (PECs), for both HNIBT‐enol and HNIBT‐MeOH‐enol complex, the ESIPT could only occur along with intramolecular hydrogen bond O1? H2···N3. Through comparison, the potential barrier falls from 4.124 kcal/mol (HNIBT‐enol) to 2.132 kcal/mol (HNIBT‐MeOH‐enol). Therefore, we confirm that the ESIPT of the HNIBT system happens more easily in the MeOH solvent compared with the toluene solvent.  相似文献

We employed the complete active space self‐consistent field (CASSCF) and its multistate second‐order perturbation (MS‐CASPT2) methods to explore the photochemical mechanism of 2‐hydroxyazobenzene, the molecular scaffold of Sudan I and Orange II dyes. It was found that the excited‐state intramolecular proton transfer (ESIPT) along the bright diabatic 1ππ* state is barrierless and ultrafast. Along this diabatic 1ππ* relaxation path, the system can jump to the dark 1nπ* state via the 1ππ*/1nπ* crossing point. However, ESIPT in this dark state is largely inhibited owing to a sizeable barrier. We also found two deactivation channels that decay 1ππ* keto and 1nπ* enol species to the ground state via two energetically accessible S1/S0 conical intersections. Finally, we encountered an interesting phenomenon in the excited‐state hydrogen‐bonding strength: it is reinforced in the 1ππ* state, whereas it is reduced in the 1nπ* state. The present work sets the stage for understanding the photophysics and photochemistry of Sudan I–IV, Orange II, Ponceau 2R, Ponceau 4R, and azo violet.  相似文献

Adopting density functional theory (DFT) and time‐dependent density functional theory (TDDFT) methods, we investigat and present two different excited‐state intramolecular proton transfer (ESIPT) mechanisms of angular‐quinacridone (a‐QD) in both toluene and DMF,theoretically. Comparing the primary structural variations of a‐QD involved in the intramolecular hydrogen bond, we conclude that N1–H2⋯O3 should be strengthened in the S1 state, which may facilitate the ESIPT process. Particularly, in toluene, the S1‐state‐stable a‐QD enol* could not be located because of the non‐barrier ESIPT process. Concomitantly, infrared vibrational spectral analysis further verified the stability of the hydrogen bond. In addition, the role of charge–transfer interaction has been addressed under the frontier molecular orbitals (MOs), which depicts the nature of the electronic excited state and supports the ESIPT reaction. The potential energy curves according to variational N1–H2 coordinate demonstrates that the proton transfer process should occur spontaneously in toluene; however, in DMF, a low potential energy barrier of 0.493 kcal/mol is needed to complete the ESIPT reaction. Although this barrier of 0.493 kcal/mol is too low to make an important impact on the ESIPT reaction, just because of the existence of barrier, ESIPT mechanisms in toluene and DMF are different.  相似文献

Photoinduced intramolecular direct arylation allows structurally unique compounds containing phenanthro[9′,10′:4,5]imidazo[1,2‐f]phenanthridine and imidazo[1,2‐f]phenanthridine skeletons, which mediate excited‐state intramolecular proton transfer (ESIPT), to be efficiently synthesized. The developed polycyclic aromatics demonstrate that the combination of five‐membered ring structures with a rigid arrangement between a proton donor and a proton acceptor provides a means for attaining large fluorescence quantum yields, exceeding 0.5, even in protic solvents. Steady‐state and time‐resolved UV/Vis spectroscopy reveals that, upon photoexcitation, the prepared protic heteroaromatics undergo ESIPT, converting them efficiently into their excited‐state keto tautomers, which have lifetimes ranging from about 5 to 10 ns. The rigidity of their structures, which suppresses nonradiative decay pathways, is believed to be the underlying reason for the nanosecond lifetimes of these singlet excited states and the observed high fluorescence quantum yields. Hydrogen bonding with protic solvents does not interfere with the excited‐state dynamics and, as a result, there is no difference between the occurrences of ESIPT processes in MeOH versus cyclohexane. Acidic media has a more dramatic effect on suppressing ESIPT by protonating the proton acceptor. As a result, in the presence of an acid, a larger proportion of the fluorescence of ESIPT‐capable compounds originates from their enol excited states.  相似文献

Four polypyridyl bridging ligands BL1−4 containing open‐chain crown ether, where BL1−3 formed by the condensation of 4,5‐diazafluoren‐9‐oxime with diethylene glycol di‐p‐tosylate, triethylene glycol di‐p‐tosylate, and tetraethylene glycol di‐p‐tosylate, respectively. BL4 formed by the reaction of 4‐(1,10‐phenanthrolin‐5‐ylimino)methylphenol with triethylene glycol di‐p‐tosylate, have been synthesized. Reaction of Ru(bpy)2Cl2·2H2O with BL, respectively, afforded four bimetallic complexes [(bpy)2RuBL1−4Ru(bpy)2]4+ as [PF6] salts. Electrochemistry of these complexes is consistent with one RuII‐based oxidation and several ligand‐based reductions. These complexes show metal‐to‐ligand charge transfer absorption at 439‐452 nm and emission at 570‐597 nm.  相似文献

A series of compounds containing 5‐(2‐aminobenzylidene)‐2,3‐dimethyl‐3,5‐dihydro‐4H‐imidazol‐4‐one ( o ‐ABDI ) as the core chromophore with a seven‐membered‐ring N?H‐type intramolecular hydrogen bond have been synthesized and characterized. The acidity of the N?H proton and thus the hydrogen‐bond strength can be fine‐tuned by replacing one of the amino hydrogen atoms by a substituent R, the acidity increasing with increasing electron‐withdrawing strength of R, that is, in the order H<COCH3<COPh<Tosyl<COCF3. The tosyl and trifluoroacetyl derivatives undergo ultrafast, irreversible excited‐state intramolecular proton transfer (ESIPT) that results in proton‐transfer emission solely in the red region. Reversible ESIPT, and hence dual emission, involving the normal and proton‐transfer tautomers was resolved for the acetyl‐ and benzyl‐substituted counterparts. For o ‐ABDI , which has the weakest acidity, ESIPT is prohibited due to its highly endergonic reaction. The results clearly demonstrate the harnessing of ESIPT by modifying the proton acidity and hydrogen‐bonding strength in a seven‐membered‐ring intramolecular hydrogen‐bonding system. For all the compounds studied, the emission quantum yields are weak (ca. 10?3) in dichloromethane, but strong in the solid form, ranging from 3.2 to 47.4 %.  相似文献

The synthesis and photophysics of two novel 2‐(2′‐hydroxyphenyl)benzothiazole (HBT) derivatives are presented. The electron‐withdrawing trifluoromethyl (CF3) group in compound 1 facilitates the deprotonation of the phenolic hydroxy group. Well‐resolved triple fluorescence from the enol, keto, and phenolic anion, which ranges from 350 to 600 nm, was detected for 1 in ethanol, which marks the first time triple fluorescence from an excited‐state intramolecular proton transfer (ESIPT) molecule has been reported. Both triphenylamine and CF3 were introduced into derivative 2 . Intramolecular charge transfer and the “red‐edge effect” resulted in the bathochromic shift of dual fluorescence of 2 . Triple fluorescence was also observed for 2 in ethanol. In mixed acetonitrile and ethanol, pure white‐light emission with CIE coordinates of (0.33, 0.33) and a quantum yield of 0.25 was achieved for 2 . This work provides a new avenue for the rational design of an ESIPT molecule to achieve white‐light generation under mild conditions.  相似文献

In this work, density functional theory (DFT) and time‐dependent DFT (TDDFT) methods were used to investigate the excited‐state dynamics of the excited‐state hydrogen‐bonding variations and proton transfer mechanism for a novel white‐light fluorophore 2‐(4‐[dimethylamino]phenyl)‐7‐hyroxy‐6‐(3‐phenylpropanoyl)‐4H‐chromen‐4‐one ( 1 ). The methods we adopted could successfully reproduce the experimental electronic spectra, which shows the appropriateness of the theoretical level in this work. Using molecular electrostatic potential (MEP) as well as the reduced density gradient (RDG) versus the product of the sign of the second largest eigenvalue of the electron density Hessian matrix and electron density (sign[λ2]ρ), we demonstrate that an intramolecular hydrogen bond O1–H2···O3 should be formed spontaneously in the S0 state. By analyzing the chemical structures, infrared vibrational spectra, and hydrogen‐bonding energies, we confirm that O1–H2·O3 should be strengthened in the S1 state, which reveals the possibility of an excited‐state intramolecular proton transfer (ESIPT) process. On investigating the excitation process, we find the S0 → S1 transition corresponding to the charge transfer, which provides the driving force for ESIPT. By constructing the potential energy curves, we show that the ESIPT reaction results in a dynamic equilibrium in the S1 state between the forward and backward processes, which facilitates the emission of white light.  相似文献

In this paper, we theoretically explore the motivation and behaviors of the excited‐state intramolecular proton transfer (ESIPT) reaction for a novel white organic light‐emitting diode (WOLED) material 4‐tert‐butyl‐2‐(5‐(5‐tert‐butyl‐2‐methoxyphenyl)thiazolo[5,4‐d]thiazol‐2‐yl)‐phenol (t‐MTTH). The “atoms in molecules” (AIM) method is adopted to verify the formation and existence of the hydrogen bond O? H···N. By analyzing the excited‐state hydrogen bonding behaviors via changes in the chemical bonding and infrared (IR) vibrational spectra, we confirm that the intramolecular hydrogen bond O? H···N should be getting strengthened in the first excited state in four kinds of solvents, thus revealing the tendency of ESIPT reaction. Further, the role of charge‐transfer interaction is addressed under the frontier molecular orbitals (MOs), which depicts the nature of the electronic excited state and supports the ESIPT reaction. Also, the electron distribution confirms the ESIPT tendency once again. The scanned and optimized potential energy curves according to variational O? H coordinate in the solvents demonstrate that the proton transfer reaction should occur in the S1 state, and the potential energy barriers along with ESIPT direction support this reaction. Based on the excited‐state behaviors reported in this work, the experimental spectral phenomenon has been reasonably explained.  相似文献

Excited‐state intramolecular proton transfer (ESIPT) of four imidazole derivatives, 2‐(2′‐hydroxyphenyl)imidazole (HPI), 2‐(2′‐hydroxyphenyl)benzimidazole (HPBI), 2‐(2′‐hydroxyphenyl)‐1H‐phenanthro[9,10‐d]imidazole (HPPI) and 2‐(2′‐hydroxyphenyl)‐1‐phenyl‐1H‐phenanthro[9,10‐d]imidazole (HPPPI), were studied by the sophisticated CASSCF/CASPT2 methodology. The state‐averaged SA‐CASSCF method was used to optimize their geometry structures of S0 and S1 electronic states, and the CASPT2 calculations were used for the calibration of all the single‐point energies, including the absorption and emission spectra. A reasonable agreement is found between the theoretical predictions and the available experimental spectral data. The forward ESIPT barriers of four target compounds gradually decrease with the increase of molecular size. On the basis of the present calculations, it is a plausible speculation that the larger the size, the faster is the ESIPT rate, and eventually, HPPPI molecule can undergo a completely barrierless ESIPT to the more stable S1 keto form. Additionally, taking HPI as a representative example, the radiationless decays connecting the S0 and S1/S0 conical intersection structures were also studied by constructing a linearly interpolated internal coordinate (LIIC) reaction path. The qualitative analysis shows that the LIIC barrier of HPI in the keto form is remarkably lower than that of its enol‐form, indicating that the former has a big advantage over the latter in the nonradiative process. © 2015 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.  相似文献

Diastereomeric geminate pairs of chiral bis(2‐oxazoline) ruthenium complexes with bipyridyl‐type N‐heteroaromatics, Λ‐ and Δ‐[Ru(L‐ L)2(iPr‐biox)]2+ (iPr‐biox=(4S,4′S)‐4,4′‐diisopropyl‐2,2′‐bis(2‐oxazoline); L‐ L=2,2′‐bipyridyl (bpy) for 1 Λ and 1 Δ, 4,4′‐dimethyl‐2,2′‐bipyridyl (dmbpy) for 2 Λ and 2 Δ, and 1,10‐phenanthroline (phen) for 3 Λ and 3 Δ), were separated as BF4 and PF6 salts and were subjected to the comparative studies of their stereochemical and photochemical characterization. DFT calculations of 1 Λ and 1 Δ electronic configurations for the lowest triplet excited state revealed that their MO‐149 (HOMO) and MO‐150 (lower SOMO) characters are interchanged between them and that the phosphorescence‐emissive states are an admixture of a Ru‐to‐biox charge‐transfer state and an intraligand excited state within the iPr‐biox. Furthermore, photoluminescence properties of the two Λ,Δ‐diastereomeric series are discussed with reference to [Ru(bpy)3]2+.  相似文献

The photophysical and photochemical properties of (OC‐6‐33)‐(2,2′‐bipyridine‐κN1,κN1′)tricarbonyl(9,10‐dihydro‐9,10‐dioxoanthracene‐2‐carboxylato‐κO)rhenium (fac‐[ReI(aq‐2‐CO2)(2,2′‐bipy)(CO)3]) were investigated and compared to those of the free ligand 9,10‐dihydro‐9,10‐dioxoanthracene‐2‐carboxylate (=anthraquinone‐2‐carboxylate) and other carboxylato complexes containing the (2,2′‐bipyridine)tricarbonylrhenium ([Re(2,2′‐bipy)(CO)3]) moiety. Flash and steady‐state irradiations of the anthraquinone‐derived ligand (λexc 337 or 351 nm) and of its complex reveal that the photophysics of the latter is dominated by processes initiated in the Re‐to‐(2,2′‐bipyridine) charge‐transfer excited state and 2,2′‐bipyridine‐ and (anthraquinone‐2‐carboxylato)‐centered intraligand excited states. In the reductive quenching by N,N‐diethylethanamine (TEA) or 2,2′,2″‐nitrilotris[ethanol] TEOA, the reactive states are the 2,2′‐bipyridine‐centered and/or the charge‐transfer excited states. The species with a reduced anthraquinone moiety is formed by the following intramolecular electron transfer, after the redox quenching of the excited state: [ReI(aq−2−CO2)(2,2′‐bipy.)(CO)3]⇌[ReI(aq−2−CO2.)(2,2′‐bipy)(CO)3] The photophysics, particularly the absence of a ReI‐to‐anthraquinone charge‐transfer excited state photochemistry, is discussed in terms of the electrochemical and photochemical results.  相似文献

The synthesis, structural, and photophysical properties of a new series of original dyes based on 2‐(2′‐hydroxybenzofuran)benzoxazole (HBBO) is reported. Upon photoexcitation, these dyes exhibit intense dual fluorescence with contribution from the enol (E*) and the keto (K*) emission, with K* being formed through excited‐state intramolecular proton transfer (ESIPT). We show that the ratio of emission intensity E*/K* can be fine‐tuned by judiciously decorating the molecular core with electron‐donating or ‐attracting substituents. Push–pull dyes 9 and 10 functionalized by a strong donor (nNBu2) and a strong acceptor group (CF3 and CN, respectively) exhibit intense dual emission, particularly in apolar solvents such as cyclohexane in which the maximum wavelength of the two bands is the more strongly separated. Moreover, all dyes exhibit strong solid‐state dual emission in a KBr matrix and polymer films with enhanced quantum yields reaching up to 54 %. A wise selection of substituents led to white emission both in solution and in the solid state. Finally, these experimental results were analyzed by time‐dependent density functional theory (TD‐DFT) calculations, which confirm that, on the one hand, only E* and K* emission are present (no rotamer) and, on the other hand, the relative free energies of the two tautomers in the excited state guide the ratio of the E*/K* emission intensities.  相似文献

Three rigid and structurally simple heterocyclic stilbene derivatives, (E)‐3H,3′H‐[1,1′‐biisobenzofuranylidene]‐3,3′‐dione, (E)‐3‐(3‐oxobenzo[c] thiophen‐1(3H)‐ylidene)isobenzofuran‐1(3H)‐one, and (E)‐3H,3′H‐[1,1′‐bibenzo[c] thiophenylidene]‐3,3′‐dione, are found to fluoresce in their neat solid phases, from upper (S2) and lowest (S1) singlet excited states, even at room temperature in air. Photophysical studies, single‐crystal structures, and theoretical calculations indicate that large energy gaps between S2 and S1 states (T2 and T1 states) as well as an abundance of intra and intermolecular hydrogen bonds suppress internal conversions of the upper excited states in the solids and make possible the fluorescence from S2 excited states (phosphorescence from T2 excited states). These results, including unprecedented fluorescence quantum yields (2.3–9.6 %) from the S2 states in the neat solids, establish a unique molecular skeleton for achieving multi‐colored emissions from upper excited states by “suppressing” Kasha's rule.  相似文献

A platinum complex with the 6‐(7‐benzothiazol‐2′‐yl‐9,9‐diethyl‐9H‐fluoren‐2‐yl)‐2,2′‐bipyridinyl ligand ( 1 ) was synthesized and the crystal structure was determined. UV/Vis absorption, emission, and transient difference absorption of 1 were systematically investigated. DFT calculations were carried out on 1 to characterize the electronic ground state and aid in the understanding of the nature of low‐lying excited electronic states. Complex 1 exhibits intense structured 1π–π* absorption at λabs<440 nm, and a broad, moderate 1M LCT/1LLCT transition at 440–520 nm in CH2Cl2 solution. A structured 3ππ*/3M LCT emission at about 590 nm was observed at room temperature and at 77 K. Complex 1 exhibits both singlet and triplet excited‐state absorption from 450 nm to 750 nm, which are tentatively attributed to the 1π–π* and 3π–π* excited states of the 6‐(7‐benzothiazol‐2′‐yl‐9,9‐diethyl‐9H‐fluoren‐2‐yl)‐2,2′‐bipyridine ligand, respectively. Z‐scan experiments were conducted by using ns and ps pulses at 532 nm, and ps pulses at a variety of visible and near‐IR wavelengths. The experimental data were fitted by a five‐level model by using the excited‐state parameters obtained from the photophysical study to deduce the effective singlet and triplet excited‐state absorption cross sections in the visible spectral region and the effective two‐photon absorption cross sections in the near‐IR region. Our results demonstrate that 1 possesses large ratios of excited‐state absorption cross sections relative to that of the ground‐state in the visible spectral region; this results in a remarkable degree of reverse saturable absorption from 1 in CH2Cl2 solution illuminated by ns laser pulses at 532 nm. The two‐photon absorption cross sections in the near‐IR region for 1 are among the largest values reported for platinum complexes. Therefore, 1 is an excellent, broadband, nonlinear absorbing material that exhibits strong reverse saturable absorption in the visible spectral region and large two‐photon‐assisted excited‐state absorption in the near‐IR region.  相似文献

Infinite dilution 29Si and 13C NMR chemical shifts were determined from concentration dependencies of the shifts in dilute chloroform and acetone solutions of para substituted O‐silylated phenols, 4‐R‐C6H4‐O‐SiR′2R″ (R = Me, MeO, H, F, Cl, NMe2, NH2, and CF3), where the silyl part included groups of different sizes: dimethylsilyl (R′ = Me, R″ = H), trimethylsilyl (R′ = R″ = Me), tert‐butyldimethylsilyl (R′ = Me, R″ = CMe3), and tert‐butyldiphenylsilyl (R′ = C6H5, R″ = CMe3). Dependencies of silicon and C‐1 carbon chemical shifts on Hammett substituent constants are discussed. It is shown that the substituent sensitivity of these chemical shifts is reduced by association with chloroform, the reduction being proportional to the solvent accessible surface of the oxygen atom in the Si‐O‐C link. The intramolecular trans‐halophosphanylation of 2‐(aminophosphanyl)phenylacetylenes mediated by PBr3 followed by the oxidation with H2O2, produces 3‐bromobenzo[b]phosphole oxide derivatives. This cyclization is also used for the synthesis of a 3‐iodo derivative by conducting the reaction in the presence of LiI. Based on this synthetic method, various benzophosphole‐containing π‐conjugated compounds, including a phosphoryl and methylene‐bridged stilbene 10 , 2,3,6,7‐tetraphenylbenzo[1,2‐b:4,5‐b′]diphosphole‐P,P′‐dioxides 11 , and their phosphine sulfide derivatives 12 , are synthesized. The study of the structure–property relationships in a series of the bridged stilbenes, including a bis(methylene)‐bridged stilbene 10 , and a bis(phosphoryl)‐bridged stilbene, reveals that as the contribution of the phosphoryl groups increased, the absorption and emission maxima substantially shift to longer wavelengths. The intrinsic substituent effects of the phosphoryl group in this skeleton are to decrease the oscillator strength of the electronic transition and thus decrease the radiative decay rate constants from the singlet excited state. Nevertheless, these compounds maintain high fluorescence quantum yields (ΦF>0.8) owing to the significantly retarded nonradiative decay process. In the study of the benzodiphosphole derivatives 11 and 12 , their cyclic voltammetry revealed that both of the phosphoryl and phosphine sulfide derivatives have low reduction potentials (?1.7 to ?1.8 V vs ferrocene/ferrocenium couple) with the high reversibility of the redox waves. These compounds also showed high thermal stabilities with the high glass transition temperatures of 147–159 °C, indicative of their potential utilities as amorphous materials.  相似文献
