The existence of solutions to a fourth-order p-Laplacian equation with boundary degeneracy is studied. For the purpose of solving the corresponding non-degenerate (with respect to the coefficient of fourth-order term) regularized problem, a fourth-order semi-discrete elliptic problem with homogeneous boundary conditions is established and its existence and uniqueness are obtained by the functional minimization method. It follows that the approximate solutions of the non-degenerate parabolic problem are constructed and the corresponding existence and uniqueness are discovered by a limit procedure from the energy estimation method and a compactness argument. Finally, the existence and regularity of solutions for the problem with boundary degeneracy is obtained by using a regularization parameter vanishing limit.  相似文献

In this paper, we are concerned with the existence of solutions of systems determined by abstract functional differential equations with infinite and state‐dependent delay. We establish the existence of mild solutions and the existence of periodic solutions. Our results are based on local Lipschitz conditions of the involved functions. We study the existence of minimizers for a class of noncoercive functionals, representing the strain energy of masonry-like bodies subject to loads that are not “safe” with respect to certain existence conditions estblished in the literature. In this paper, the complicated dynamics is studied near a double homoclinic loops with bellows configuration for general systems. For the non-twisted multiple homoclinics, the existence of periodic orbit with the specified route and the existence of shift-invariant curve sequences defined on the cross sections of multiple homoclinics corresponding to any specified one-side infinite sequences are given. Necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of solutions of optimization‐related problems, defined on general sets, are established by using topologically‐based structures, without the usual linear structure. First, we prove that the existence of solutions to a variational relation problem is equivalent to the existence of either a KKM‐structure or a connectedness structure, satisfying additionally some verifiable conditions. Then, applying these results, we obtain such full (two‐way) characterizations for the existence of invariant points, solutions of quasiequilibrium problems of the Stampacchia‐Minty type, saddle points, and Nash equilibria for noncooperative games. The main advantages of our scheme with the mentioned two structures are that full characterizations for existence are obtained in a unified way, with no convexity assumptions, and also that one has flexibility to choose a suitable structure in investigations. (This flexibility is decisive when the natural underlying structure of the given problem is scarcely employed.)  相似文献

A set-valued type inequality system is introduced along with two solvability questions composed of existence and perturbation, and main theorems are obtained, which include three necessary and sufficient conditions concerning the existence and a continuity property concerning the perturbation. The existence and number of limit cycles in a class of general planar piecewise linear systems constituted by two linear subsystems with saddle–saddle dynamics are investigated. Using the Liénard-like canonical form with seven parameters, the parametric regions of the existence of limit cycles are given by constructing proper Poincaré maps. In particular, the existence of at least two limit cycles is proved and some parameter regions where two nested limit cycles exist are given.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the existence of travelling wave solutions to a three-species Lotka–Volterra food-chain model with spatial diffusion and time delays. By using the cross iteration method and Schauder’s fixed point theorem, we reduce the existence of travelling wave solutions to the existence of a pair of upper–lower solutions which are easy to construct in practice. The existence, nonexistence and multiplicity of positive radially symmetric solutions to a class of Schrödinger–Poisson type systems with critical nonlocal term are studied with variational methods. The existence of both the ground state solution and mountain pass type solutions are proved. It is shown that the parameter ranges of existence and nonexistence of positive solutions for the critical nonlocal case are completely different from the ones for the subcritical nonlocal system.  相似文献

Summary In this paper we study the existence of Paréto equilibria of a multicriteria metagame. A theorem on existence of a Paréto equilibrium and a theorem on existence of a Nash equilibrium with weights are presented, which improve and extend some known results in the theory of games with multiple payoffs. We give a short elementary proof of the Daniell-Kolmogorov existence theorem for probability measures on product spaces, assuming nothing but the existence of Lebesgue measure on the unit interval. Related approaches are used to prove the existence of regular conditional distributions directly on Polish spaces, and to establish the existence of random measures and sets with given finite-dimensional distributions or hitting probabilities, respectively.  相似文献

The aims of this paper are to discuss global existence and uniqueness of strong solution for a class of isentropic compressible navier-Stokes equations with non-Newtonian in one-dimensional bounded intervals. We prove two global existence results on strong solutions of isentropic compressible Navier-Stokes equations. The first result shows only the existence. In this survey, a new minimax inequality and one equivalent geometricform are proved. Next, a theorem concerning the existence of maximalelements for an LC-majorized correspondence is obtained.By the maximal element theorem, existence theorems of equilibrium point fora noncompact one-person game and for a noncompact qualitative game withLC-majorized correspondences are given. Using the lastresult and employing 'approximation approach', we prove theexistence of equilibria for abstract economies in which the constraintcorrespondence is lower (upper) semicontinuous instead of having lower(upper) open sections or open graphs in infinite-dimensional topologicalspaces. Then, as the applications, the existence theorems of solutions forthe quasi-variational inequalities and generalized quasi-variationalinequalities for noncompact cases are also proven. Finally, with theapplications of quasi-variational inequalities, the existence theorems ofNash equilibrium of constrained games with noncompact are given. This paper deals with the existence of traveling wave solutions of a class of delayed system of lattice differential equations, which formulates the invasion process when two competitive species are invaders. Employing the comparison principle of competitive systems, a new cross-iteration scheme is given to establish the existence of traveling wave solutions. More precisely, by the cross-iteration, the existence of traveling wave solutions is reduced to the existence of an admissible pair of upper and lower solutions. To illustrate our main results, we prove the existence of traveling wave solutions in two delayed two-species competition systems with spatial discretization. Our results imply that the delay appeared in the interspecific competition terms do not affect the existence of traveling wave solutions.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the existence and regularity of solutions for a class of neutral partial functional integrodifferential equations with infinite delay in Banach spaces. We use the theory of resolvent operator developed in R. Grimmer (1982) [29] to show the existence of mild solutions. We give sufficient conditions ensuring the existence of strict solutions. This paper investigates the existence of Bayesian estimates for polychotomous quantal response models using a uniform improper prior distribution on the regression parameters. Necessary and sufficient conditions for the propriety of the posterior distribution with a general link function are established. In addition, the sufficient conditions for the existence of the posterior moments and the posterior moment generating function are obtained. In this paper, two existence results for a class of second order periodic boundary value problems with non-smooth potential are obtained. We extend the Castro-Lazer-Thews reduction method to non-smooth functionals, the obtained result is then exploited to prove the existence of a nontrivial solution.
