We study the interaction between a single-mode quantized field and a quantum system composed of two qubits. We suppose that two qubits initially be prepared in the mixed and separable state, and study how entanglement between two qubits arises in the course of evolution according to the Jaynes-Cummings type interaction with nonclassical radiation field. We also investigate the relation between entanglement and purity of qubit subsystem. We show that different photon statistics have different effects on the dynamical behavior of the qubit subsystem. When the qubits are initially prepared in the maximally mixed and separable state, for coherent state field we cannot find entanglement between two qubits; for squeezed state field entanglement between two qubits exists in several short period of time; for even and odd coherent state fields of large photon number, the dynamical behavior of the entanglement between two qubits shows collapse and revival phenomenon. For odd coherent state field of small photon number, the entanglement with both qubits initially prepared in maximally mixed state can be stronger than that with both qubits initially prepared in pure states. For fields of small photon number, the entanglement strongly depends on the states they are initially prepared in. For coherent state field, and odd and even coherent state fields of large photon number, the entanglement only depends on the purity of the initial state of qubit subsystem. We also show that during the evolution the unentangled state may be purer than the entangled state, and the maximum degree of entanglement may not occur at the time when the qubit subsystem is in the purist state.  相似文献

We study entangling and disentangling functions of optical Fourier multiport devices in which input-output relation for the creation and annihilation operators is given by a finite Fourier transform. It is shown that these Fourier multiport devices can act as entanglement converters which can not only create entanglement from an unentangled state at the input but also destroy entanglement in an entangled state at the input. Creation and destruction of two-mode and three-mode entangled coherent states (ECSs) are investigated in detail. The creation and destruction of Bell-type two-mode ECS, GHZ-type and W-type three-mode ECSs are indicated explicitly through using Fourier four-port and six-port devices, respectively.  相似文献

We show that the process of entanglement distillation is irreversible by showing that the entanglement cost of a bound entangled state is finite. Such irreversibility remains even if extra pure entanglement is loaned to assist the distillation process.  相似文献

The temporal evolution of the degree of entanglement between two atoms in a system of the binomial optical field interacting with two arbitrary entangled atoms is investigated. The influence of the strength of the dipole–dipole interaction between two atoms, probabilities of the Bernoulli trial, and particle number of the binomial optical field on the temporal evolution of the atomic entanglement are discussed. The result shows that the two atoms are always in the entanglement state. Moreover, if and only if the two atoms are initially in the maximally entangled state, the entanglement evolution is not affected by the parameters, and the degree of entanglement is always kept as 1.  相似文献

Multipartite entanglement, measured by the geometric entanglement (GE), is discussed for integer spin Valance-Bond-Solid (VBS) state respectively with periodic boundary condition (PBC) and open boundary condition (OBC) in this paper. The optimization in the definition of geometric entanglement can be reduced greatly by exploring the symmetry of VBS state, and then the fully separable state can be determined explicitly. Numerical evaluation for GE by the random simulation is also implemented in order to demonstrate the validity of the reductions. Our calculations show that GE is saturated by a finite value with the increment of particle number, that means that the total entanglement for VBS state would be divergent under the thermodynamic limit. Moreover it is found that the scaling behavior of GE with spin number s is fitted as α log(s + β/s + γ)+δ, in which the values of the parameters α, β, γ, σ are only dependent on the parity of spin s. A comparison with entanglement entropy of VBS state is also made, in order to demonstrate the essential differences between multipartite and bipartite entanglement in this model.  相似文献

In this Letter, the entanglement dynamics of two interacting qubits in a common bath and in two independent baths, at finite and zero temperature are investigated. Entanglement sudden death (ESD) and entanglement sudden birth (ESB) are observed when the two qubits are embedded in two independent baths at finite temperature. At zero temperature, the entanglement of the two qubits may evolve to a steady state with non-zero value when the two qubits are embedded in a common bath, the entanglement sudden birth does not occur when the qubits are embedded in two independent baths.  相似文献

The concept of local concurrence is used to quantify the entanglement between a single qubit and the remainder of a multiqubit system. For the ground state of the BCS model in the thermodynamic limit the set of local concurrences completely describes the entanglement. As a measure for the entanglement of the full system we investigate the average local concurrence (ALC). We find that the ALC satisfies a simple relation with the order parameter. We then show that for finite systems with a fixed particle number, a relation between the ALC and the condensation energy exposes a threshold coupling. Below the threshold, entanglement measures besides the ALC are significant.  相似文献

研究了量子态在一条均匀耦合的反铁磁自旋链中传输时, 信道中自旋激发数变化对其传输性质的影响. 利用信息流方法分析输出端粒子的算符演化动力学, 获得了量子态传输的平均保真度与信道自旋初态之间的关系. 结果表明, 平均保真度的大小只依赖于信道中自旋激发数的奇偶性. 通过比较在奇偶激发信道中获得的最大平均保真度, 构建了优化信道来提升量子态在自旋链中的传输质量. 进一步分析了纠缠在激发信道中的传输情况, 发现纠缠的传输质量不仅和信道中自旋激发的具体个数有关, 还取决于激发自旋的初始排列. 特别地, 当信道中自旋无激发或全部激发时, 纠缠传输的大小和持续时间都优于其他的激发信道. 上述研究结果有助于在实际系统中搭建适合量子态和纠缠传输的量子信道.  相似文献

The decoherence and the decay of quantum entanglement due to both population relaxation and thermal effects are investigated for the two qubits initially prepared in the extended Werner-like state by solving the Lindblad form of the master equation, where each qubit is interacting with an independent reservoir at finite temperature T. Entanglement sudden death (ESD) and entanglement sudden birth (ESB) are observed during the evolution process. We analyze in detail the effects of the mixedness, the degree of entanglement of the initial states and finite temperature on the time of entanglement sudden death and entanglement sudden birth. We also obtain an analytic formula for the steady state concurrence that shows its dependence on both the system parameters, the decoherence rate and finite temperature. These results arising from the combination of extended Werner-like initial state and independent thermal reservoirs suggest an approach to control the maximum possible concurrence even after the purity and finite temperature induce sudden birth, death and revival.  相似文献

Considering the dipole-dipole coupling intensity between two atoms and the field in the Fock state, the entanglement dynamics between two atoms that are initially entangled in the system of two two-level atoms coupled to a single mode cavity in the presence of phase decoherence has been investigated. The two-atom entanglement appears with periodicity without considering phase decoherence, however, the phase decoherence causes the decay of entanglement between two atoms, with the increasing of the phase decoherence coefficient, the entanglement will quickly become a constant value, which is affected by the two-atom initial state. Meanwhile the two-atom quantum state will forever stay in the maximal entangled state when the initial state is proper even in the presence of phase decoherence. On the other hand, the Bell violation and the entanglement do not satisfy the monotonous relation, a large Bell violation implies the presence of a large amount of entanglement under certain conditions, while a large Bell violation corresponds to a little amount of entanglement in certain situations. However, the violation of Bell-CHSH inequality can reach the maximal value if two atoms are in the maximal entangled state, or vice versa.  相似文献

We analyse the entanglement of the antisymmetric state in dimension d × d and present two main results. First, we show that the amount of secrecy that can be extracted from the state is low, more precisely, the distillable key is bounded by O(\frac1d){O(\frac{1}{d})}. Second, we show that the state is highly entangled in the sense that a large number of ebits are needed in order to create the state: entanglement cost is larger than a constant, independent of d. The second result is shown to imply that the regularised relative entropy with respect to separable states is also lower bounded by a constant. We investigate the effects of classical driving fields on the dynamics of purity, spin squeezing, and genuine multipartite entanglement (based on the Peres-Horodecki criterion ) of three two-level atoms within three separated cavities prepared in coherent states in the presence of decoherence. The three qubits are initially entangled and driven by classical fields. We obtain an analytical solution of the present system using the superoperator method. We find that the genuine multipartite entanglement measured by an entanglement monotone based on the Peres-Horodecki criterion can stay zero for a finite time and revive partially later. This phenomenon is similar to the sudden death of entanglement of two qubits and can be controlled efficiently by the classical driving fields. The amount of purity, spin squeezing, and genuine multipartite entanglement decrease with the increase of mean photon number of cavity fields. Particularly, the purity and genuine multipartite entanglement could be simultaneously improved by the classical driving fields. In addition, there is steady state genuine multipartite entanglement which can also be adjusted by the classical driving fields.  相似文献

We show that a unitary operation (quantum circuit) secretly chosen from a finite set of unitary operations can be determined with certainty by sequentially applying only a finite amount of runs of the unknown circuit. No entanglement or joint quantum operations are required in our scheme. We study the "entanglement spectrum" (a presentation of the Schmidt decomposition analogous to a set of "energy levels") of a many-body state, and compare the Moore-Read model wave function for the nu=5/2 fractional quantum Hall state with a generic 5/2 state obtained by finite-size diagonalization of the second-Landau-level-projected Coulomb interactions. Their spectra share a common "gapless" structure, related to conformal field theory. In the model state, these are the only levels, while in the "generic" case, they are separated from the rest of the spectrum by a clear "entanglement gap", which appears to remain finite in the thermodynamic limit. We propose that the low-lying entanglement spectrum can be used as a "fingerprint" to identify topological order.  相似文献

In this paper, the issue of swapping quantum entanglements in two arbitrary biqubit pure states via a local bipartite entangledstate projective measure in the middle node is studied in depth, especially with regard to quantitative aspects. Attention is mainly focused on the relation between the measure and the final entanglement obtained via swapping. During the study, the entanglement of formation (EoF) is employed as a quantifier to characterize and quantify the entanglements present in all involved states. All concerned EoFs are expressed analytically; thus, the relation between the final entanglement and the measuring state is established. Through concrete analyses, the measure demands for getting a certain amount of a final entanglement are revealed. It is found that a maximally entangled final state can be obtained from any two given initial entangled states via swapping with a certain probability; however, a peculiar measure should be performed. Moreover, some distinct properties are revealed and analyzed. Such a study will be useful in quantum information processes.  相似文献

The quantum entanglement,discord,and coherence dynamics of two spins in the model of a spin coupled to a spin bath through an intermediate spin are studied.The effects of the important physical parameters including the coupling strength of two spins,the interaction strength between the intermediate spin and the spin bath,the number of bath spins and the temperature of the system on quantum coherence and correlation dynamics are discussed in different cases.The frozen quantum discord can be observed whereas coherence does not when the initial state is the Bell-diagonal state.At finite temperature,we find that coherence is more robust than quantum discord,which is better than entanglement,in terms of resisting the influence of environment.Therefore,quantum coherence is more tenacious than quantum correlation as an important resource.  相似文献
