Spectral mapping theorem for generalized Kato spectrum

In this paper, we give an affirmative answer to Mbekhta's conjecture (Mbekhta, 1990 [13]) about the pseudo Fredholm operators in Hilbert space. As a consequence, we characterize pseudo Fredholm operators and we prove that the generalized Kato spectrum satisfies the spectral mapping theorem in the Hilbert spaces setting.

Perturbation of semi-Browder operators and stability of Browder's essential defect and approximate point spectrum

In the present paper we investigate the stability of closed densely defined semi-Browder operators under operator perturbations that belong to a perturbation class related to compact operators. Furthermore, we apply the obtained results to give a characterization and to study the stability of Browder's essential approximate point spectrum and Browder's essential defect spectrum.

Isometries, Fock spaces, and spectral analysis of Schrödinger operators on trees

We construct conjugate operators for the real part of a completely non-unitary isometry and we give applications to the spectral and scattering theory of a class of operators on (complete) Fock spaces, natural generalizations of the Schrödinger operators on trees. We consider C^*-algebras generated by such Hamiltonians with certain types of anisotropy at infinity, we compute their quotient with respect to the ideal of compact operators, and give formulas for the essential spectrum of these Hamiltonians.

Paracomplete normed spaces and Fredholm theory

A normed space is paracomplete if it admits a new norm, stronger than the initial one, that makes it complete. Here we give a characterization of paracomplete normed spaces. As a consequence, we show that operators on paracomplete spaces have compact spectrum in the algebra of all operators, and that the class of paracomplete spaces is not stable under ℓ₂-sums. Moreover, we give characterizations for the closed Fredholm operators on paracomplete spaces and for the almost semi-Fredholm operators of Harte on normed spaces.

Schatten class and Berezin transform of quaternionic linear operators

In this paper, we introduce the Schatten class and the Berezin transform of quaternionic operators. The first topic is of great importance in operator theory, but it is also necessary to study the second one, which requires the notion of trace class operators, a particular case of the Schatten class. Regarding the Berezin transform, we give the general definition and properties. Then we concentrate on the setting of weighted Bergman spaces of slice hyperholomorphic functions. Our results are based on the S‐spectrum of quaternionic operators, which is the notion of spectrum that appears in the quaternionic version of the spectral theorem and in the quaternionic S‐functional calculus. Spectra of Periodic Schrödinger Operators on the Degenerate Zigzag Nanotube with δ Type Vertex Conditions

In this paper, we consider the Schrödinger operators with a periodic potential and the δ type vertex conditions on a metric graph, which is called the degenerate zigzag nanotube, and discuss those spectrum. We demonstrate that the spectrum has the band structure. Moreover, we give the asymptotics of the band edges.     

The Bottom of the Spectrum of Time-Changed Processes and the Maximum Principle of Schrödinger Operators

We give a necessary and sufficient condition for the maximum principle of Schrödinger operators in terms of the bottom of the spectrum of time-changed processes. As a corollary, we obtain a sufficient condition for the Liouville property of Schrödinger operators.     

Characterization of Closed Densely Defined Semi-Browder Linear Operators

In the present paper we characterize the closed densely defined semi-Browder operators through the Kato decomposition. Furthermore, we apply the obtained results to give a new characterization of Browder’s essential defect spectrum and Browder’s essential approximate point spectrum under finite rank operator perturbations.     

Weyl type theorem and hypercyclic operators

Using a variant of the essential approximate point spectrum, we give the necessary and sufficient conditions for T for which the a-Browder's theorem or the a-Weyl's theorem holds. Also, the relation between hypercyclic operators (or supercyclic operators) and the operators which satisfy Weyl type theorem is discussed.     

Analytically Class A operators and Weyl's theorem

Using the new spectrum set defined in this note, we give the necessary and sufficient condition for T which the Weyl's theorem holds. We also consider how the Weyl's theorem survives for analytically Class A operators.
