Dioxygen accelerates back electron transfer (BET) processes between a fullerene radical anion (C60) and a radical cation of zinc porphyrin (ZnP) in photolytically generated ZnP.+-C60.- and ZnP.+-H2P-C60.- radical ion pairs. The rate constant of BET increases linearly with increasing oxygen concentration without, however, forming reactive oxygen species, such as singlet oxygen or superoxide anion. When ferrocene (Fc) is used as a terminal electron donor moiety instead of ZnP (i.e., Fc-ZnP-C60), no catalytic effects of dioxygen were, however, observed for the BET in Fc+-ZnP-C60.-, that is, from C60.- to the ferricenium ion. In the case of ZnP-containing C60 systems, the partial coordination of O2 to ZnP.+ facilitates an intermolecular electron transfer (ET) from C60.- to O2. This rate-determining ET step is followed by a rapid intramolecular ET from O2.- to ZnP.+ in the corresponding O2.--ZnP.+ complex and hereby regenerating O2. In summary, O2 acts as a novel catalyst in accelerating the BET of the C60.--ZnP.+ radical ion pairs.  相似文献

Synthesis, characterization, and reactions of the novel manganese-oxo cubane complex [Mn(4)O(4)(O(2)PPh(2))(6)](ClO(4)), 1+ (ClO(4)(-)), are described. Cation 1+ is composed of the [Mn(4)O(4)](7+) core surrounded by six bidentate phosphinate ligands. The proton-coupled electron transfer (pcet) reactions of phenothiazine (pzH), the cation radical (pzH(.+)(ClO(4)(-)), and the neutral pz* radical with 1+ are reported and compared to Mn(4)O(4)(O(2)PPh(2))(6) (1). Compound 1+ (ClO(4)(-)) reacts with excess pzH via four sequential reduction steps that transfer a total of five electrons and four protons to 1+. This reaction forms the doubly dehydrated manganese cluster Mn(4)O(2)(O(2)PPh(2))(6) (2) and two water molecules derived from the corner oxygen atoms. The first pcet step forms the novel complex Mn(4)O(3)(OH)(O(2)PPh(2))(6) (1H) and 1 equiv of the pz+ cation by net hydride transfer from pzH. Spectroscopic characterization of isolated 1H is reported. Reduction of 1 by pzH or a series of para-substituted phenols also produces 1H via net H atom transfer. A lower limit to the homolytic bond dissociation energy (BDE) (1H --> 1 + H) was estimated to be >94 kcal/mol using solution phase BDEs for pzH and para-substituted phenols. The heterolytic BDE was estimated for the hydride transfer reaction 1H --> 1+ + H(-) (BDE approximately 127 kcal/mol). These comparisons reveal the O-H bond in 1H to be among the strongest of any Mn-hydroxo complex measured thus far. In three successive H atom transfer steps, 1H abstracts three hydrogen atoms from three pzH molecules to form complex 2. Complex 2 is shown to be identical to the "pinned butterfly" cluster produced by the reaction of 1 with pzH (Ruettinger, W. F.; Dismukes, G. C. Inorg. Chem. 2000, 39, 1021-1027). The Mn oxidation states in 2 are formally Mn(4)(2II,2III), and no further reduction occurs in excess pzH. By contrast, outer-sphere electron-only reductants such as cobaltacene reduce both 1+ and 1 to the all Mn(II) oxidation level and cause cluster fragmentation. The reaction of pzH(.+) with 1+ produces 1H and the pz+ cation by net hydrogen atom transfer, and terminates at 1 equiv of pzH(.+) with no further reaction at excess. By contrast, pz* does not react with 1+ at all, indicating that reduction of 1+ by electron transfer to form pz+ does not occur without a proton (pcet to 1+ is thermodynamically required). Experimental free energy changes are shown to account for these pcet reactions and the absence of electron transfer for any of the phenothiazine series. Hydrogen atom abstraction from substrates by 1 versus hydride abstraction by 1(+ )()illustrates the transition to two-electron one-proton pcet chemistry in the [Mn(4)O(4)](7+) core that is understood on the basis of free energy consideration. This transition provides a concrete example of the predicted lowest-energy pathway for the oxidation of two water molecules to H(2)O(2) as an intermediate within the photosynthetic water-oxidizing enzyme (vs sequential one-electron/proton steps). The implications for the mechanism of photosynthetic water splitting are discussed.  相似文献

Photooxidation of dibenzothiophene (DBT) and 4,6-dimethyldibenzothiophene (DMDBT) sensitized by N-methylquinolinium tetrafluoborate (NMQ(+)BF4-) has been investigated in O2-saturated acetonitrile solutions. Nearly 100% oxidation of DBT and DMDBT was observed, and the oxidized products are predominantly composed of sulfoxides and sulfones, which are formed via photoinduced electron transfer (ET). Such ET processes were studied with fluorescence quenching of NMQ+, time-resolved transient absorption measurement, and ESR experiments. The fluorescence of NMQ+ is efficiently quenched by DBT and DMDBT via diffusion-controlled processes, with bimolecular quenching constants of 1.6 x 10(10) M(-1) s(-1) for DBT and 2.3 x 10(10) M(-1) s(-1) for DMDBT. The electron-transfer nature of the quenching is evidenced by the transient absorption measurement of the neutral radical NMQ*, which is formed by electron transfer from the substrates (DBT or DMDBT) to the excited singlet state of NMQ+. The ESR spectra of the superoxide radical anion (O2*-) trapped by 5,5-dimethyl-1-pyrroline N-oxide (DMPO) in the photooxygenation of DBT and DMDBT as well as their sulfoxides manifest that O2 traps an electron from NMQ* to form O2*-. The fact that the formation of sulfoxides and sulfones is greatly suppressed in the presence of benzoquinone (BQ), an efficient electron trap for NMQ* and O2*-, further indicates an ET process in the photooxidation of DBT and DMDBT. As inferred from the control experiments, the role of singlet oxygen (1O2) in the photooxidation is negligible. The intermediates responsible for the formation of sulfoxides and sulfones have been examined in detail.  相似文献

The primary structure of 3'-imino[60]fulleryl-3'-deoxythymidine ions is studied using mass spectrometry both in the positive and negative modes. Interaction between the subunits is discussed using collision-induced dissociation (CID) spectra. Collisional activation with argon of the sodiated cations leads to the cleavage of the glycosidic bond and the transfer of a radical hydrogen from the deoxyribose to the thymine. The sodiated thymine is the only fragment observed for low collision energies in the positive mode. In the negative mode, two different ionization mechanisms take place, reduction and deprotonation in the presence of triethylamine. The 2.7 eV electron affinity of C60 and its huge cross section compared to the small cross section and predicted 0.44 eV electron affinity of the thymidine subunit most likely localize the radical electron on the fullerene. On the other hand, deprotonation of the 3'-azido-3'-deoxythymidine (AZT) is known to occur in N-3, the most acidic site of the nucleobase. Consequently, deprotonation causes the negative charge to be initially localized on the thymine. Both types of parent anions give the radical anion C60*- as fragment. The other fragments detected are the dehydrogenated 3'-imino[60]fulleryl-3'-deoxyribose anion, C60NH2-, C60N- and C60H-. Since in negative ion mass spectrometry all fragments include the [60]fullerene unit, this suggests that the fragmentation is driven by the electron affinity of the [60]fullerene, likely responsible for a charge transfer between the deprotonated thymine and the C60.  相似文献

The novel intramolecularly NH...O hydrogen-bonded Ca(II)-aryl sulfonate complex, [Ca2(SO3-2-t-BuCONHC6H4)2(H2O)4]n(2-t-BuCONHC6H4SO3)2n (1), sulfonate anion, (HNEt3)(SO3-2-t-BuCONHC6H4) (2a), (PPh4)(SO3-2-t-BuCONHC6H4) (2b), (n-Bu4N)(SO3-2-t-BuCONHC6H4) (2c), and sulfonic acid, 2-t-BuCONHC6H4SO3H (3), were synthesized. The structures of 1, 2a, and 2b depict the presence of the formation of NH...O hydrogen bonds between the amide NH and S-O oxygen for a series of compounds as determined by IR and 1H NMR analyses both in the solid state and in the solution state. Thus, the NH...O hydrogen bonds with neutral amide groups are available for investigation of the electronic state of the O- anion. The combined data from the IR and 1H NMR spectra indicate that the sulfonic acid, sulfonate anion, and Ca(II) complex have a substantially weak intramolecular NH...O hydrogen bond between the SO3 oxygen and amide NH. In the detailed comparison with the intense NH...O hydrogen bonds for the carboxylate, weak NH...O hydrogen bonds for sulfonate is due to the strong conjugation of the SO3- group with the lower nucleophilicity.  相似文献

Fundamental information concerning the mechanism of electron transfer from reduced heteropolytungstates (POM(red)) to O2, and the effect of donor-ion charge on reduction of O2 to superoxide anion (O2.-), is obtained using an isostructural series of 1e--reduced donors: alpha-X(n+)W12O40(9-n)-, X(n+) = Al3+, Si4+, P5+. For all three, a single rate expression is observed: -d[POM(red)]/dt = 2k12[POM(red)][O2], where k12 is for the rate-limiting electron transfer from POM(red) to O2. At pH 2 (175 mM ionic strength), k12 increases from 1.4 +/- 0.2 to 8.5 +/- 1 to 24 +/- 2 M-1s-1 as Xn+ is varied from P5+ (3red) to Si4+ (2red) to Al3+ (1red). Variable-pH data (for 1red) and solvent-kinetic isotope (KIE = kH/kD) data (all three ions) indicate that protonated superoxide (HO2.) is formed in two steps--electron transfer, followed by proton transfer (ET-PT mechanism--rather than via simultaneous proton-coupled electron transfer (PCET). Support for an outersphere mechanism is provided by agreement between experimental k12 values and those calculated using the Marcus cross relation. Further evidence is provided by the small variation in k12 observed when Xn+ is changed from P5+ to Si4+ to Al3+, and the driving force for formation of O2.- (aq), which increases as cluster-anion charge becomes more negative, increases by nearly +0.4 V (a decrease of >9 kcal mol-1 in DeltaG degrees ). The weak dependence of k12 on POM reduction potentials reflects the outersphere ET-PT mechanism: as the anions become more negatively charged, the "successor-complex" ion pairs are subject to larger anion-anion repulsions, in the order [(3(ox)3-)(O2.-)]4- < [(2(ox)4-)(O2.-)]5- < [(1(ox)5-)(O2.-)]6-. This reveals an inherent limitation to the use of heteropolytungstate charge and reduction potential to control rates of electron transfer to O2 under turnover conditions in catalysis.  相似文献

The compound [NH4(NH3)4][B(C6H5)4].NH3 (1) was prepared by the reaction of NaB(C(6)H(5))(4) with a proton-charged ion-exchange resin in liquid ammonia. [NH(4)(NH(3))(4)][Ca(NH(3))(7)]As(3)S(6).2NH(3) (2) and [NH4(NH3)4][Ba(NH3)8]As3S6.NH3 (3) were synthesized by reduction of As(4)S(4) with Ca and Ba in liquid ammonia. All ammoniates were characterized by low-temperature single-crystal X-ray structure analysis. They were found to contain the ammine-ammonium complex with the maximal possible number of coordinating ammonia molecules, the [NH4(NH3)4]+ ion. 1 contains a special dimer, the [(NH4(NH3)4)2(mu-NH3)2]2+ ion, which is formed by two[NH4(NH3)4]+ ions linked by two ammonia molecules. The H(3)N-H...N hydrogen bonds in all three compounds range from 1.82 to 2.20 A (DHA = Donor-H...Acceptor angles: 156-178 degrees). In 2 and 3, additional H(2)N-H...S bonds to the thioanions are observed, ranging between 2.49 and 3.00 A (DHA angles: 120-175 degrees). Two parallel phenyl rings of the [B(C(6)H(5))(4)](-) anion in 1 form a pi...pi hydrogen bond (C...C distance, 3.38 A; DHA angles, 82 degrees), leading to a dimeric [B(C6H5)4]2(2-) ion.  相似文献

Aluminum ion complexed 5,8-di-Br-hypocrellin B is a new water-soluble perylenequinonoid derivative with enhanced absorption over hypocrellin B (HB) in the phototherapeutic window (600-900 nm). Electron paramagnetic resonance and 9,10-diphenyl-anthracene bleaching methods were used to investigate the photosensitizing activity of [AL2(5,8-di-Br-HB)Cl4]n in the presence of oxygen. Singlet oxygen, superoxide anion radical and hydroxyl radical can be generated by [AL2(5,8-di-Br-HB)CL4]n photosensitization. Singlet oxygen (1O2) is formed via energy transfer from triplet-state [AL2(5,8-di-Br-HB)CL4]n to ground-state molecular oxygen. 1O2 participates in the generation of a portion of superoxide anion radical (O2.-). Besides superoxide anion radical (O2.-) may originate from the electron transfer between the triplet-state [AL2(5,8-di-Br-HB)CL4]n and the ground-state molecular oxygen. OH is formed through the Fenton-Haber-Weiss reaction and the decomposition of DMPO-1O2 adduct. Compared with HB [AL2(5,8-di-Br-HB)CL4]n primarily remains and enhances the generation efficiency of superoxide anion radical and hydroxyl radical but that of singlet oxygen decreases.  相似文献

The distributions of ions and neutrals in low-pressure (approximately 10(-2) mbar) DC discharges of pure hydrogen and hydrogen with small admixtures (5%) of CH(4) and N(2) have been determined by mass spectrometry. Besides the mentioned plasma precursors, appreciable amounts of NH(3) and C(2)H(x) hydrocarbons, probably mostly from wall reactions, are detected in the gas phase. Primary ions, formed by electron impact in the glow region, undergo a series of charge transfer and reactive collisions that determine the ultimate ion distribution in the various plasmas. A comparison of the ion mass spectra for the different mixtures, taking into account the mass spectra of neutrals, provides interesting information on the key reactions among ions. The prevalent ion is H3+ in all cases, and the ion chemistry is dominated by protonation reactions of this ion and some of its derivatives. Besides the purely hydrogenic ions, N(2)H+, NH(4)+, and CH(5)+ are found in significant amounts. The only mixed C/N ion clearly identified is protonated acetonitrile C(2)H(4)N+. The results suggest that very little HCN is formed in the plasmas under study.  相似文献

FTIR and single crystal Raman spectra of (CH3)2NH2Al(SO4)2 x 6H2O have been recorded at 300 and 90 K and analysed. The shifting of nu1 mode to higher wavenumber and its appearance in Bg species contributing to the alpha(xz) and alpha(yz) polarizability tensor components indicate the distortion of SO4 tetrahedra. The presence of nu1 and nu2 modes in the IR spectrum and the lifting of degeneracies of nu2, nu3, and nu4 modes are attributed to the lowering of the symmetry of the SO4(2-) ion. Coincidence of the IR and Raman bands for different modes suggest that DMA+ ion is orientationally disordered. One of the H atoms of the NH2 group of the DMA+ ion forms moderate hydrogen bonds with the SO4(2-) anion. Al(H2O)6(3+) ion is also distorted in the crystal. The shifting of the stretching modes to lower wavenumbers and the bending mode to higher wavenumber suggest that H2O molecules form strong hydrogen bonds with SO4(2-) anion. The intensity enhancement and the narrowing of nu1SO4, deltaC2N and Al(H2O)6(3+) modes at 90 K confirm the settling down of the protons in the hydrogen bonds formed with H2O molecules and NH2 groups. This may be one of the reasons for the phase transition observed in the crystal.  相似文献

The unusual and unique ability of O2 as target gas in kV collision-induced dissociations, to enhance a specific fragmentation of a mass selected ion, has been examined in detail. The affected dissociations studied were the loss of CH3* from CH3CH+X (X = OH, CH3, NH2, SH); CH3* and C1* loss from CH3C+(C1)CH3; C2H5* loss from CH3CH2CH+X (X = OH and NH2); H* loss from +CH2OH and +CH2NH2; O loss from 1,2-, 1,3-, and 1,4-C6H4(NO2)2+*; CH3NO+*; C6HsNO2+*; C5H5NO+* (pyridine N-oxide); 3- and 4-CH3C5H4NO+*. A general explanation of the phenomena, which was semiquantitatively tested in the present work, can be summarized as follows: the ion - O2 encounter excites the target molecules to their 3sigma(g)- state which resonantly return this energy to electronic state(s) in the ion. The excited ion now contains a sharp excess of a narrow range of internal energies, thus significantly and only enhancing fragmentations whose activation energies lie within this small energy manifold.  相似文献

We have generated 3 ns molecular dynamic (MD) simulations, in aqueous solution, of the bacterial soluble glucose dehydrogenase enzyme.PQQ.glucose complex and intermediates formed in PQQ reduction. In the MD structure of enzyme.PQQ.glucose complex the imidazole of His144 is hydrogen bonded to the hydroxyl hydrogen of H[bond]OC1(H) of glucose. The tightly hydrogen-bonded triad Asp163-His144-glucose (2.70 and 2.91 A) is involved in proton abstraction from glucose concerted with the hydride transfer from the C1[bond]H of glucose to the >C5[double bond]O quinone carbon of PQQ. The reaction is assisted by Arg228 hydrogen bonding to the carbonyl oxygen of >C5[double bond]O. The rearrangement of [bond](H)C5(O-)[bond]C4([double bond]O)[bond] of II to [bond]C5(OH)[double bond]C4(OH)[bond] of PQQH(2) hydroquinone is assisted by general acid protonatation of the >C4[double bond]O oxygen by protonated His144 and hydrogen bonds of Arg228 to the oxyanion O5. The continuous hydrogen bonding of the amide side chain of Asn229 to >C4[double bond]O4 oxygen and that of the O5 oxygen of the cofactor to Wat89 is observed throughout the entire reaction.  相似文献

To characterize fullerenes (C(60) and C(70)) as photosensitizers in biological systems, the generation of active oxygen species, through energy transfer (singlet oxygen (1)O(2)) and electron transfer (reduced active oxygen radicals such as superoxide anion radical O(2)(-)* and hydroxyl radical *OH), was studied by a combination of methods, including biochemical (DNA-cleavage assay in the presence of various scavengers of active oxygen species), physicochemical (EPR radical trapping and near-infrared spectrometry), and chemical methods (nitro blue tetrazolium (NBT) method). Whereas (1)O(2) was generated effectively by photoexcited C(60) in nonpolar solvents such as benzene and benzonitrile, we found that O(2)(-)* and *OH were produced instead of (1)O(2) in polar solvents such as water, especially in the presence of a physiological concentration of reductants including NADH. The above results, together with those of a DNA cleavage assay in the presence of various scavengers of specific active oxygen species, indicate that the active oxygen species primarily responsible for photoinduced DNA cleavage by C(60) under physiological conditions are reduced species such as O(2)(-)* and *OH.  相似文献

The solvation energies of the pyridine*+ radical cation by 1-4 H2O molecules were determined by equilibrium measurements in a drift cell. The binding energies of the pyridine*+(H2O)n clusters are similar to the binding energies of protonated pyridine-water clusters, (C5H5NH+)(H2O)n, which involve NH+..OH2 bonds and different from those of the solvated benzene radical cation-water clusters, C6H6*+(H2O)n, which involve CHdelta+..OH2 bonds. These relations indicate that the observed pyridine*+ ions have the distonic *C5H4NH+ structures that can form NH+..OH2 bonds. The observed thermochemistry and ab initio calculations show that these bonds are not affected significantly by an unpaired electron at another site of the ion. Similar observations also identify the 2-fluoropyridine*+ distonic ion. The distonic structure is also consistent with the reactivity of pyridine*+ in H atom transfer, intra-cluster proton transfer and deprotonation reactions. The results present the first measured stepwise solvation energies of distonic ions, and demonstrate that cluster thermochemistry can identify distonic structures.  相似文献

FT IR and FT Raman spectra of Ag3(PO2NH), (Compound 1), Na3(PO2NH)3 x H2O (Compound II), Na3(PO2NH)3 x 4H2O (Compound III), [C(NH2)3]3(PO2NH)3 x H2O (Compound IV) and (NH4)4(PO2NH)4 x 4H2O (Compound V) are recorded and analyzed on the basis of the anions, cations and water molecules present in each of them. The PO2NH- anion ring in compound I is distorted due to the influence of Ag+ cation. Wide variation in the hydrogen bond lengths in compound III is indicated by the splitting of the v2 and v3 modes of vibration of water molecules. The NH4 ion in compound V occupies lower site symmetry and exhibits hindered rotation in the lattice. The correlations between the symmetric and asymmetric stretching vibrations of P-N-P bridge and the P-N-P bond angle have also been discussed.  相似文献

Novel dioxo-tungsten(VI) bis(1,2-benzenedithiolate) complexes with neighboring amide groups, as models for tungsten enzymes, (NEt4)2[W(VI)O2{1,2-S(2)-3,6-(RCONH)2C6H2}2] (R = CH3, t-Bu), were designed and synthesized. The presence of the NH...S hydrogen bond was confirmed through IR spectrometry and X-ray crystallographic analysis. In the W(VI)O2 complexes, the NH...S hydrogen bond trans to the oxo ligand is stronger than that cis to oxo. On the basis of comparisons with [W(VI)O2(1,2-S2C6H4)2](2-), the NH...S hydrogen bond positively shifted the W(VI)/W(V) redox potentials and depressed the reduction by benzoin or triphenylphosphine. These results suggest that the NH...S hydrogen bond stabilizes the oxo ligand through trans influence and regulates O-atom transfer in tungsten and molybdenum enzymes.  相似文献

Complexes between formic acid or formate anion and various proton donors (HF, H(2)O, NH(3), and CH(4)) are studied by the MP2 and B3LYP methods with the 6-311++G(3df,3pd) basis set. Formation of a complex is characterized by electron-density transfer from electron donor to ligands. This transfer is much larger with the formate anion, for which it exceeds 0.1 e. Electron-density transfer from electron lone pairs of the electron donor is directed into sigma* antibonding orbitals of X--H bonds of the electron acceptor and leads to elongation of the bond and a red shift of the X--H stretching frequency (standard H-bonding). However, pronounced electron-density transfer from electron lone pairs of the electron donor also leads to reorganization of the electron density in the electron donor, which results in changes in geometry and vibrational frequency. These changes are largest for the C--H bonds of formic acid and formate anion, which do not participate in H-bonding. The resulting blue shift of this stretching frequency is substantial and amounts to almost 35 and 170 cm(-1), respectively.  相似文献

The aquachromyl ion, Cr(IV)aqO2+, reacts with the hydrides L(H2O)RhH2+ (L = L1 = [14]aneN4 and L2 = meso-Me6-[14]aneN4) in aqueous solutions in the presence of molecular oxygen to yield Cr(aq)3+ and the superoxo complexes L(H2O)RhOO2+. At 25 degrees C, the rate constants are approximately 10(4) M(-1) s(-1) (L = L1) and 1.12 x 10(3) M(-1) s(-1) (L = L2). Both reactions exhibit a moderate deuterium isotope effect, kRhH/kRhD = approximately 3 (L1) and 3.3 (L2), but no solvent isotope effect, kH2O/kD2O = 1. The proposed mechanism involves hydrogen atom abstraction followed by the capture of LRh(H2O)2+ with molecular oxygen. There is no evidence for the formation of L(H2O)Rh2+ in the reaction between L(H2O)RhH2+ and (salen)CrVO+. The proposed hydride transfer is supported by the magnitude of the rate constants (L = L1, k = 8,800 M(-1) s(-1); (NH3)4, 2,500; L2, 1,000) and isotope effects (L = L1, kie = 5.4; L2, 6.2). The superoxo complex [L1(CH3CN)RhOO](CF3SO3)2.H2O crystallizes with discrete anions, cations, and solvate water molecules in the lattice. All moieties are linked by a network of hydrogen bonds of nine different types. The complex crystallized in the triclinic space group P1 with a = 9.4257(5) A, b = 13.4119(7) A, c = 13.6140(7) A, alpha = 72.842(1)degrees, beta = 82.082(1) degrees, gamma = 75.414(1) degrees, V = 1587.69(14) A3, and Z = 2.  相似文献

Adsorption of hydrogen and methane on a preirradiated surface of gamma-Al2O3 produces an afterglow, which has been described as a photoinduced chesorluminescence (PhICL), whose spectral features identify with the intrinsic photoluminescence of alumina. The emission spectrum consists of at least four overlapping single emission bands. For methane adsorption, the PhICL phenomenon is seen only if the solid is preirradiated in the presence of oxygen. Emission decay kinetics of the PhICL effect for gamma-Al2O3 reveal two wavelength regimes: a short wavelength regime at lambda = 300-370 nm (decay time tau = 1.1 +/- 0.2 s; signal width = 2.8 s), and a longer wavelength regime at lambda = 380-700 nm (decay time tau = 2.1 +/- 0.1 s; signal width = 4.3 s). A model is proposed in which there exist two different emission centers and, thus, two different pathways for emission decay. In the first, emission originates with electron trapping by such deep energy traps as anion vacancies {e- + Va --> F+ + hv1} to yield electron F-type color centers, whereas in the second, emission originates from electron/trapped hole recombination {e- + Os*- --> Os2- + hv2}. The first common step of the pathways is homolytic dissociative chemisorption of hydrogen and methane upon interaction with surface-active hole centers Os*-, produced upon preirradiation of alumina, to give atomic hydrogen H* and methyl radicals CH3*. Thermoprogrammed desorption spectra of photoadsorbed or postsorbed oxygen show that adsorbed oxygen interacts with atomic hydrogen and methyl radicals. The products of thermodesorption were H2O for hydrogen and H2O, CO2, and CH3CH3 for methane. The Solonitsyn memory effect coefficient was also evaluated for oxygen photoadsorption.  相似文献

Calculations at the CCSD(T)/aug-cc-pVDZ//B3LYP/6-31G* level of theory indicate that doublet [CCCCO]-* is a stable species which should undergo collision-induced Franck-Condon vertical oxidation under neutralisation-reionisation conditions (-NR+) to produce both triplet CCCCO (ground state) and singlet CCCCO. Some of the neutral CCCCO species formed (particularly the triplet) should be stable for the microsecond duration of the NR experiment, whereas others will be energised (particularly the singlet) and should decompose to C3 and CO. The [CCCCO]-* radical anion has been formed in the ion source of the mass spectrometer by the reaction CH3OCH2C[triple bond]C-CO-CH(CH3)2 + O-* --> [CCCCO]-* + CH3O* + H2O + (CH3)2CH*. The -NR+ spectrum of [CCCCO]-* shows a recovery signal at m/z 64 corresponding to ionised CCCCO, together with a pronounced peak at m/z 36 (CCC+*) produced by ionisation of CCC (formed by the reaction CCCCO --> CCC + CO). The experimental observations are in agreement with the predictions of the theoretical study.  相似文献
