The Fe(II) of the binuclear Fe(II)Fe(III) active site of pig purple acid phosphatase (uteroferrin) has been replaced in turn by five M(II) ions (Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), and Zn(II)). An uptake of 1 equiv of M(II) is observed in all cases except that of Cu(II), when a second more loosely bound Cu(II) is removed by treatment with edta. The products have been characterized by different analytical procedures and by UV-vis spectrophotometry. At 25 degrees C, I = 0.100 M (NaCl), the nonenzymatic reactions with H(2)PO(4)(-) give the mu-phosphato product, and formation constants K/M(-1) show an 8-fold spread at pH 4.9 of 740 (Mn), 165 (Fe), 190 (Co), 90 (Ni), 800 (Cu), 380 (Zn). The variations in K correlate well with stability constants for the complexing of H(2)PO(4)(-) and (CH(3)O)HPO(3)(-) with M(II) hexaaqua ions. At pH 4.9 with [H(2)PO(4)(-)] > or = 3.5 mM rate constants k(obs) decrease, and an inhibition process in which a second [H(2)PO(4)(-)] coordinates to the dinuclear center is proposed. The mechanism considered accounts for most but not all of the features displayed. Thus K(1) values for the coordination of phosphate to M(II) are in the range10-60 M(-1), whereas K(2) values for the bridging of the phosphate to Fe(III) are in the narrower range 7.8-12.4. From the fits described K(i) approximately 10(3) M(-1) for the inhibition step, which is independent of the identity of M(II). Values of k(obs) decrease with increasing pH, giving pK(a) values which are close to 3.8 and independent of M(II) (Fe(II), Zn(II), Mn(II)). The acid dissociation process is assigned to Fe(III)-OH(2) to Fe(III)-OH(-), where OH(-) is less readily displaced by phosphate.  相似文献

A new copper(II) fluorescent sensor 5,10,15,20-tetra((p-N,N-bis(2-pyridyl)amino)phenyl)porphyrin zinc (1) has been designed and synthesized by the Ullmann-type condensation of bromoporphyrin zinc with 2,2'-dipyridylamine (dpa) under copper powder as a catalyst as well as with K2CO3 as the base in a DMF solution. It consists of two separately functional moieties: the zinc porphyrin performs as a fluorophore, and the dpa-linked-to-zinc porphyrin acts as a selected binding site for metal ions. It displays a high selectivity and antidisturbance for the Cu2+ ion among the metal ions examined (Na+, Mg2+, Cr3+, Mn2+, Fe2+, Co2+, Ni2+, Cu2+, Ag+, Zn2+, Cd2+, Hg2+, and Fe3+) and exhibits fluorescence quenching upon the binding of the Cu2+ ion with an "on-off"-type fluoroionophoric switching property. The detection limit is found to be 3.3 x 10(-7) M (3s blank) for Cu2+ ion in methanol solution, and its fluorescence can be revived by the addition of EDTA disodium solution. The design strategy and remarkable photophysical properties of sensor 1 help to extend the development of fluorescent sensors for metal ions.  相似文献

A liquid ion-exchange electrode containing a complex of mercury(II) with N-(O,O-diisopropylthiophosphoryl)thiobenzamide in carbon tetrachloride is described. The electrode shows excellent sensitivity and good selectivity. The slope of the calibration graph is 29.0 mV/pHg2+ in the pHg2+ in the pHg2+ range 2–15.2 in mercury(II) ion buffers. The electrode can be used for determination of 5 × 10?5–10?2 M Hg(II) in the presence of 10?2 M Cu(II), Ni(II), Co(II), Zn(II), Pb(II), Cd(II), Mn(II), Fe(III), Cr(III), Bi(III) or Al(III) ions and in the presence of 10?3 M Ag(I) ions. It can bealso used for end-point detection in titrations with EDTA of 10?3–10?4 M mercury(II) at pH 2.  相似文献

Conditions for the preparation of Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II) and Cd(II) 4-methylphthalates were investigated and their composition, solubility in water at 295 K and magnetic moments were determined. IR spectra and powder diffraction patterns of the complexes prepared with molar ratio of metal to organic ligand of 1.0:1.0 and general formula: M [ CH3C6H3(CO2)2nH2o (n=1-3) were recorded and their decomposition in air were studied. During heating the hydrated complexes are dehydrated in one (Mn, Co, Ni, Zn, Cd) or two steps (Cu) and next the anhydrous complexes decompose to oxides directly (Cu, Zn), with intermediate formation of carbonates (Mn, Cd), oxocarbonates (Ni) or carbonate and free metal (Co). The carboxylate groups in the complexes studied are mono- and bidentate (Co, Ni), bidentate chelating and bridging (Zn) or bidentate chelating (Mn, Cu, Cd). The magnetic moments for paramagnetic complexes of Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) attain values 5.92, 5.05, 3.36 and 1.96 M.B., respectively. This revised version was published online in July 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date.  相似文献

Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II) and Cd(II) 2,5-dichlorobenzoates were prepared and their compositions and solubilities in water at 295 K were determined. The IR spectra and X-ray diffractograms of the obtained complexes were recorded. The complexes of Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II) and Cd(II) were obtained as solids with a 1:2 molar ratio of metal to organic ligand and different degrees of hydration. When heated at a heating rate of 10 K min-1, the hydrated complexes lose some (Co, Zn) or all (Ni, Cu, Cd) of the crystallization water molecules and then decompose to oxide MO (Co, Ni) or gaseous products (Cu, Zn, Cd). When heated at a heating rate of 5 K min-1, the complexes of Ni(II) and Cu(II) lose some (Ni) or all (Cu) of the crystallization water molecules and then decompose directly to MO. This revised version was published online in July 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date.  相似文献

New metal complexes of Fe(III), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II) and Cd(II) with salicylidine-2-aminobenzimidazole (SABI) are synthesized and their physicochemical properties are investigated using elemental and thermal analyses, IR, conductometric, solid reflectance and magnetic susceptibility measurements. The base reacts with these metal ions to give 1:1 (Metal:SABI) complexes; in cases of Fe(III), Co(II), Cu(II), Zn(II) and Cd(II) ions; and 1:2 (Metal:SABI) complexes; in case of Ni(II) ion. The conductance data reveal that Fe(III) complex is 2:1 electrolyte, Co(II) is 1:2 electrolyte, Cu(II), Zn(II) and Cd(II) complexes are 1:1 electrolytes while Ni(II) is non-electrolyte. IR spectra showed that the ligand is coordinated to the metal ions in a terdentate mannar with O, N, N donor sites of the phenloic -OH, azomethine -N and benzimidazole -N3. Magnetic and solid reflectance spectra are used to infer the coordinating capacity of the ligand and the geometrical structure of these complexes. The thermal decomposition of the complexes is studied and indicates that not only the coordinated and/or crystallization water is lost but also that the decomposition of the ligand from the complexes is necessary to interpret the successive mass loss. Different thermodynamic activation parameters are also reported, using Coats-Redfern method. This revised version was published online in July 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date.  相似文献

Heterobi- and tri-nuclear complexes [LMM'Cl] and [(LM) 2 M'](M=Ni or Cu and M'=Mn, Fe or Co) have been synthesised. The heteronuclear complexes were prepared by stepwise reactions using two mononuclear Ni(II) and Cu(II) complexes of the general formula [HLM]·1/2H 2 O, as ligands towards the metal ions, Mn(II), Fe(III) and Co(II). The asymmetrical pentadentate (N 2 O 3 ) Schiff-base ligands used were prepared by condensing acetoacetylphenol and ethylenediamine, molar ratio 1 1, to yield a half-unit compound which was further condensed with either salicylaldehyde or naphthaldehyde to yield the ligands H 3 L 1 and H 3 L 2 which possess two dissimilar coordination sites, an inner four-coordinate N 2 O 2 donor set and an outer three-coordinated O 2 O set. 1 H NMR and IR spectra indicate that the Ni(II) and Cu(II) ions are bonded to the inner N 2 O 2 sites of the ligands leaving their outer O 2 O sites vacant for further coordination. Different types of products were obtained according to the type of metal ion. These products differ in stoichiometry according to the type of ligand in the parent compound. Electronic spectra and magnetic moments indicate that the structures of the parent Ni(II) and Cu(II) complexes are square-planar while the geometry around Fe(III), Mn(II) and Co(II) in their products are octahedral as elucidated from IR, UV-visible, ESR, 1 H NMR, mass spectrometry and magnetic moments.  相似文献

The effect of M(II) substitution on the magnitude of the negative thermal expansion (NTE) behavior within a series of Prussian Blue analogues, M(II)Pt(IV)(CN)(6) for M(II) = Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Cd, has been investigated using variable-temperature powder X-ray diffraction (100-400 K). The NTE behavior varies widely with M(II) substitution, from near zero thermal expansion in NiPt(CN)(6) (alpha = dl/l dT = -1.02(11) x 10(-)(6) K(-)(1)) up to a maximum in CdPt(CN)(6) (alpha = -10.02(11) x 10(-)(6) K(-)(1)). The trend in the magnitude of the NTE behavior, with increasing atomic number (Z) of the M(II) ion, follows the order Mn(II) > Fe(II) > Co(II) > Ni(II) < Cu(II) < Zn(II) < Cd(II), which correlates with the trends for M(II) cation size, the lattice parameter, and structural flexibility as indicated by the temperature-dependent structural refinements and Raman spectroscopy. Analysis of the temperature dependence of the average structures suggests that the differences in the thermal expansion are due principally to the different strengths of the metal-cyanide binding interaction and, accordingly, the different energies of transverse vibration of the cyanide bridge, with enhanced NTE behavior for more flexible lattices.  相似文献

A new chelating resin, Xylenol Orange coated Amberlite XAD-7, was prepared and used for preconcentration of Cd(II), Co(II), Cu(II), Fe(III), Ni(II) and Zn(II) prior to their determination by flame atomic absorption spectrophotometry. The optimum pH values for quantitative sorption of Cd(II), Co(II), Cu(II), Fe(III), Ni(II) and Zn(II) are 4.5-5.0, 4.5, 4.0-5.0, 4.0, 5.0 and 5.0-7.0, respectively, and their desorptions by 2 mol L(-1) HCl are instantaneous. The sorption capacity of the resin has been found to be 2.0, 2.6, 1.6, 1.6, 2.6 and 1.8 mg g(-1) of resin for Cd, Co, Cu, Fe, Ni and Zn, respectively. The tolerance limits of electrolytes, NaCl, NaF, NaI, NaNO3, Na2SO4 and of cations, Mg2+ and Ca2+ in the sorption of the six metal ions are reported. The preconcentration factor was between 50 and 200. The t1/2 values for sorption are found to be 5.3, 2.9, 3.2, 3.3, 2.5 and 2.6 min for the six metals, respectively. The recoveries are between 96.0 and 100.0% for the different metals at preconcentration limits between 10 to 40 ng mL(-1). The preconcentration method has been applied to determine the six metal ions in river water samples after destroying the organic matter (if present in very large amount) with concentrated nitric acid (RSD < or = 8%, except for Cd for which it is upto 12.6%) and cobalt content of vitamin tablets with RSD of approximately 3.0%.  相似文献

The gas-phase reactions with propargyl alcohol (PPA) of all the singly charged ions of the first-row transition metals, generated by laser ablation in an external ion source, were studied by Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry (FT-ICRMS.). The reactivities of the metal ions change irregularly across the periodic table, and the reactivity of each ion is a function of its electronic configuration and corresponding metal-oxygen (M-O) bond energies. The 10 metal ions were classified into three categories according to their reactivities: Sc(+), Ti(+) and V(+) are the most reactive ions which react with PPA to give many kinds of oxygen-rich products due to stronger M-O bonds; Fe(+), Co(+) and Ni(+) are less reactive; Cr(+), Mn(+), Cu(+) and Zn(+) are the most unreactive ions, due to the half and completely occupied valence electronic configurations. The order of reactivity is Ti(+) > V(+) > Sc(+) > Co(+) > Fe(+) approximately Ni(+) > Zn(+) > Cr(+) approximately Mn(+) approximately Cu(+).  相似文献

A partial least squares (PLS-1) calibration model based on kinetic—spectrophotometric measurement, for the simultaneous determination of Cu(II), Ni(II) and Co(II) ions is described. The method was based on the difference in the rate of the reaction between Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) ions with 1-(2-pyridylazo)2-naphthol in a pH 5.8 buffer solution and in micellar media at 25°C. The absorption kinetic profiles of the solutions were monitored by measuring the absorbance at 570 nm at 2 s intervals during the time range of 0–10 min after initiation of the reaction. The experimental calibration matrix for the partial least squares (PLS-1) model was designed with 30 samples. The cross-validation method was used for selecting the number of factors. The results showed that simultaneous determination could be performed in the range 0.1-2 μg mL−1 for each cation. The proposed method was successfully applied to the simultaneous determination of Cu(II), Ni(II) and Co(II) ions in water and in synthetic alloy samples.   相似文献

Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II) and Cd(II) 3-methylglutarates were prepared as solids with general formula MC6 H8 O4 ×n H2 O, where n =0–8. Their solubilities in water at 293 K were determined (7.0×10−2 −4.2×10−3 mol dm−3 ). The IR spectra were recorded and thermal decomposition in air was investigated. The IR spectra suggest that the carboxylate groups are mono- or bidentate. During heating the hydrated complexes lose some water molecules in one (Mn, Co, Ni, Cu) or two steps (Cd) and then mono- (Cu) or dihydrates (Mn, Co, Ni) decompose to oxides directly (Mn, Cu, Co) or with intermediate formation of free metals (Co, Ni). Anhydrous Zn(II) complex decomposes directly to the oxide ZnO. This revised version was published online in July 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date.  相似文献

A new polychelatogen, AXAD-16-1,2-diphenylethanolamine, was developed by chemically modifying Amberlite XAD-16 with 1,2-diphenylethanolamine to produce an effective metal-chelating functionality for the preconcentration of Mn(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II), Cd(II), and Pb(II) and their determination by flame atomic absorption spectrometry. Various physiochemical parameters that influence the quantitative preconcentration and recovery of metal were optimized by both static and dynamic techniques. The resin showed superior extraction efficiency with high-metal loading capacity values of 0.73, 0.80, 0.77, 0.87, 0.74, and 0.81 mmol/g for Mn(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II), Cd(II), and Pb(II), respectively. The system also showed rapid metal-ion extraction and stripping, with complete saturation in the sorbent phase within 15 min for all the metal ions. The optimum condition for effective metal-ion extraction was found to be a neutral pH, which is a great advantage in the preconcentration of trace metal ions from natural water samples without any chemical pretreatment of the sample. The resin also demonstrated exclusive ion selectivity toward targeted metal ions by showing greater resistivity to various complexing species and more common metal ions during analyte concentration, which ultimately led to high preconcentration factors of 700 for Cu(II); 600 for Mn(II), Ni(II), and Zn(II); and 500 for Cd(II) and Pb(II), arising from a larger sample breakthrough volume. The lower limits of metal-ion detection were 7 ng/mL for Mn(II) and Ni(II); 5 ng/mL for Cu(II), Zn(II), and Cd(II), and 10 ng/mL for Pb(II). The developed resin was successful in preconcentrating metal ions from synthetic and real water samples, multivitamin-multimineral tablets, and curry leaves (Murraya koenigii) with relative standard deviations of < or = 3.0% for all analytical measurements, which demonstrated its practical utility.  相似文献

The thermodynamic and geometric parameters of M(II) macrotetracyclic chelates (M = Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, and Zn) with the (NNNN) coordination of the donor ligand sites, formed by the complexation reactions of corresponding M(II) compounds, ethanedithioamide H2N-C(=S)-C(=S)-NH2, and acetone H3C-C(=O)-CH3 in gelatin-immobilized matrix implants have been calculated by the OPBE/TZVP density functional theory method with the use of the Gaussian 09 program package. The bond lengths and bond and torsion angles in these complexes have been reported. It has been shown that despite the fact that the MN4 chelate core in them is almost planar, the five- and six-membered chelate rings are pronouncedly non-coplanar. In the Mn(II), Fe(II), Co(II), and Ni(II) complexes, these chelate rings are pairwise identical, whereas in the Cu(II) and Zn(II) complexes, they are noticeably different.  相似文献

The dynamic adsorption and desorption properties, including the effect of pH value and flow rate on the adsorption, eluent acidity and volume, eluting velocity and re-use, of Cu(II), Pb(II), Zn(II), Cd(II), Mn(II), Ni(II), Co(II) and Hg(II) ions on the column loaded with poly(acrylaminophosphonic-carboxyl-hydrazide) chelating fiber were investigated. The recovery of Mn(II), Co(II), Cd(II), Ni(II) and Zn(II) ions in the presence of Na, K, Ca and Mg ions was examined. The preconcentration of trace amounts of Mn(II), Co(II), Cd(II), Ni(II) and Zn(II) ions from model solution samples was carried out with satisfactory results. The amount of the metal ions detected after preconcentration and recovery by this technique was basically in agreement with the added amount. The method is rapid, precise and simple.
