The electro-reduction of tolmetin at the hanging mercury drop electrode was studied in different supporting electrolytes using cyclic voltammetry and square-wave stripping voltammetry techniques. Voltammograms of tolmetin exhibited a single well-defined 2-electron irreversible cathodic peak in media of pH < 4, which may be attributed to reduction of the >C=O double bond of the analyte molecule. Adsorption of tolmetin onto the surface of the hanging mercury electrode was identified and each adsorbed tolmetin molecule was found to occupy an area of 0.23 nm2. A square-wave adsorptive cathodic stripping voltammetric procedure was described for the direct determination of tolmetin in bulk form and pharmaceutical formulation (Rumatol® capsules) with a limit of quantitation of 2 × 10?9 M and a mean percentage recovery of 98.35 ± 1.21% to 99.57 ± 1.23. Moreover, the described procedure was successfully applied for the direct assay of tolmetin in spiked human serum without pretreatment or extraction prior to the analysis while a quantitation limit of 5 × 10?9 M tolmetin was achieved.   相似文献

This paper examined for the first time, the possibilities of the usage of a boron-doped diamond electrode for the redox behavior of rutin using cyclic and adsorptive stripping voltammetry. The cyclic voltammograms showed a pair of redox peaks at lower potentials followed by an irreversible oxidation peak at higher positive potential. Using square-wave adsorptive stripping voltammetry, the compound yielded a well-defined voltammetric response in Britton-Robinson buffer, pH 4.0 at +0.48 V (vs. Ag/AgCl) (after 60 s accumulations at a fixed potential of 0.2 V). The calibration curve was linear in the concentration range from 0.01 µg mL?1 to 0.1 µg mL?1 (1.64×10?8 M ? 1.64×10?7 M). A detection limit of 0.0017 µg mL?1 (2.78×10?9 M) was observed without any chemical modifications and electrochemical surface pretreatments. As an example, the practical applicability of boron-doped diamond electrode was tested with the measurement of rutin in dietary supplement products.   相似文献

The use of square wave adsorptive stripping voltammetry (SWAdSV) in conjunction with a cyclic renewable silver amalgam film electrode (Hg(Ag)FE) for the analytical determination of ambazone in urine samples and pharmaceutical formulations is described. A single reduction peak in Britton-Robinson buffer at pH 4.0 was detected at about ?1.4 V versus Ag/AgCl. Mechanistic studies have shown that the compound can act as an electrocatalyst. The method was validated. The analytical curve was linear in the concentration range from 1.0×10?9 to 1.0×10?7 mol L?1. The detection and quantification limits were found to be 3.0×10?10 mol L?1 and 1.0×10?9 mol L?1, respectively. The proposed method was successfully applied to ambazone determination in real samples.   相似文献

The adsorptive stripping voltammetry of telmisartan was investigated with a hanging mercury drop electrode. This compound produced a catalytic hydrogen wave at ?1.5 V in Britton Robinson buffer of pH 10.38, and the peak current increased with adsorptive accumulation at the electrode. Adsorptive stripping voltammetry with the catalytic hydrogen wave could provide a sensitive novel method for the determination of telmisartan. Various chemical and instrumental parameters affecting the monitored electroanalytical response were investigated and optimized for telmisartan determination. Under these optimized conditions the square-wave adsorptive stripping voltammetric (SW-AdSV) peak current showed a linear dependence on drug concentration over the range 0.05–3.00 μg/mL (1 × 10?7?6 × 10?6 M) (r = 0.999) with accumulation for 120 s at ?1.0 V vs. Ag/AgCl. The proposed electrochemical procedure was successfully applied for the determination of telmisartan in pharmaceutical tablets and human plasma. The results of the developed SW-AdSV method were comparable with those obtained by reported analytical procedures.  相似文献

Controlled adsorptive accumulation at the hanging mercury drop electrode enables 0.8–11 × 10?5 M chlordiazepoxide to be quantified by differential-pulse stripping voltammetry with accumulation times of 1–3 min. With 3-min accumulation, the peak current is enhanced 12-fold for 1.0 × 10?7 M chlordiazepoxide compared to the current from differential pulse polarography. The detection limit is 0.9 × 10?9 M for 4-min accumulation. The procedure is applied to spiked human serum after preseparation of the drug on a Sep-Pak C18 cartridge.  相似文献

A glassy carbon electrode (GC) containing multiwalled functionalized carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) immobilized within a dihexadecylhydrogenphosphate film (DHP) is proposed as a nanostructured platform for determination of methotrexate (MTX) concentration (a drug used in cancer treatment) using differential pulse adsorptive stripping voltammetry (DPAdSV). The voltammograms for a MTX solution using MWCNTs-DHP/GC electrode presented an oxidation peak potential at 0.98 V vs. Ag/AgCl (3.0 mol L?1 KCl) in a 0.1 mol L?1 sulphuric acid. The apparent heterogeneous electron transfer rate constant of 0.46 s?1 was calculated. The recovery area of 2.62×10?9 mol cm2 was also obtained. Under the optimal experimental conditions, the analytical curve was linear in the MTX concentration range from 5.0×10?8 to 5.0×10?6 mol L?1, with a detection limit of 3.3×10?8 mol L?1. The MWCNTs-DHP/GC electrode can be easily prepared and was applied for the determination of MTX in pharmaceutical formulations, with results similar to those obtained using a high-performance liquid chromatography comparative method.   相似文献

The behaviour of oxazepam in adsorptive stripping voltammetry was studied taking into account those conditions which have an influence on the accumulation step (electrolyte, pH, time, potential, drop size and stirring rate), rest time and stripping step (pulse amplitude and scan rate). Oxazepam can be determined at a hanging mercury drop electrode by differential-pulse voltammetry in 0.008 M Britton-Robinson buffer at pH 2.0 with a ?0.50 V accumulation potential. Its detection limit was found to be 3.6 × 10?10 M (30-s accumulation) and the relative standard deviation for oxazepam concentrations in the range 2.8 × 10?8?4.0 × 10?7 M is lower than 2.8% (80-s accumulation). In addition, a procedure using adsorptive stripping voltammetry was developed to study the interactions occurring between human albumin and the camazepam metabolic series (camazepam, temazepam and oxazepam). The interactions decreased in the order temazepam ? oxazepam ? camazepam and the groups and structural modifications favouring interaction were determined.  相似文献

The renewable mercury film electrode, applied for the determination of papaverine traces using differential pulse adsorptive stripping voltammetry (DP AdSV) is presented. The calibration graph obtained for papaverine is linear from 1.25 nM (0.42 µg L?1) to 95 nM (32.2 µg L?1) for a preconcentration time of 60 s, with correlation coefficient of 0.998. For the renewable mercury electrode (Hg(Ag)FE) with a surface area of 9.1 mm2 the detection limit for a preconcentration time of 60 s is 0.7 nM (0.24 µg L?1). The repeatability of the method at a concentration level of the analyte as low as 17 µg L?1, expressed as RSD is 3.3% (n=5). The proposed method was successfully applied and validated by studying the recovery of papaverine from drugs, urine and synthetic solution.   相似文献

Tyrosine (Tyr) was quantitated with high sensitivity and selectivity in the presence of uric acid (UA) using a carbon paste electrode modified with multi-walled carbon nanotubes. Tyr and UA were catalytically oxidized with diffusion-controlled characteristics. They were determined simultaneously by differential pulse voltammetry with a potential difference of 350 mV. The electrocatalytic currents increase linearly with Tyr and UA concentrations 4×10?7?1×10?4 M and 3×10?7?2×10?4 M. Their detection limits were 1×10?7 and 5.1×10?8 M respectively. In the presence of sodium dodecyl sulfate the Tyr detection limit improved from 1×10?7 to 6.9×10?8 M. The electrode was successfully used to quantitate Tyr and UA in serum.   相似文献

Abstract

Square-wave adsorptive stripping voltammetry has been applied to the determination of a new cytostatic anthracyclinic compound, marcellomycine. 100-fold and 1000-fold increases of sensitivity have been found with regard to the differential pulse stripping voltammetry and differential pulse polarography respectively. The detection limit is fixed at 5 × 10?9 M.  相似文献

Tetrazepam dissolved in the Britton-Robinson universal buffer of various pH values (2.5–11.5) containing 10 vol. % of ethanol was reduced at the mercury electrode in a single 2-electron irreversible step due to reduction of the 4,5 C=N double bond of the seven-membered ring. Differential pulse polarography (DPP) and adsorptive cathodic stripping voltammetry (AdCSV) techniques (Linear sweep LS, differential pulse DP and square-wave SW modes) for quantification of tetrazepam in bulk form and in myolastan tablets are presented. Moreover, the described linear sweep, differential pulse, and square-wave adsorptive cathodic stripping voltammetry was successfully applied in quantification of tetrazepam in spiked human serum without any prior extraction of the drug. The obtained results showed an increased sensitivity of the described electro-analytical procedures for the quantification of tetrazepam in the following order DPP, DP-AdCSV, LS-AdCSV, and SW-AdCSV, since the observed limits of tetrazepam quantitation by these electroanalytical techniques were 5 × 10−6 mol L−1, 3 × 10−7 mol L−1, 1 × 10−8 mol L−1, and 3 × 10−9 mol L−1, respectively.  相似文献

The behaviour of 2-mercaptoethanol at a hanging mercury drop electrode by cathodic stripping voltammetry (c.s.v.) is studied. The stripping curves are recorded by three scanning modes: rapid-scan direct-current, differential-pulse and fundamental harmonic alternating-current polarography. Under the recommended conditions, pre-electrolysis is done at a potential of 0.0 V vs. Ag/AgCl for 3 min in a medium of pH 6.7 or 8 (Britton-Robinson buffer). Then after 1 min, stripping is done at a scan rate of 6.6 mV s?1 preferably in the differential-pulse mode. The stripping peak at about ?0.4 V is used to determine 2-mercaptoethanol within the concentration range 3 × 10?8/2-8 × 10?7 mol l?1. Calibration functions are reported; the standard additions method is preferred near the limit of detection. The interferences of several organic compounds are described.  相似文献

The antihypertensive drug amlodipine has been characterized voltammetrically in a carbon paste electrode by means of anodic stripping voltammetry. An adsorptive stripping method in a carbon paste electrode for trace determination of amlodipine has been described. Cyclic voltammetric studies indicated the oxidation of amlodipine besylate at the electrode surface through a single two-electron irreversible step fundamentally controlled by adsorption. A study of the variation in the peak current with solution variables such as pH, ionic strength, concentration of amlodipine, possible interference, and instrumental variables, such as preconcentration time and accumulation potential, has resulted in the optimization of the oxidation signal for analytical purposes. By anodic adsorptive anodic stripping voltammetry, the calibration plot was linear in the range 9.9 × 10?9 ? 1.4 × 10?7 M with a detection limit of 2 × 10?10 M in a carbon paste electrode at pH 11.0. The procedure was successfully applied to the assay of amlodipine besylate in some commercial products in the market (Amlopres®, Amlodipine, and Norvasc®). The percentage recoveries were in agreement with those obtained by the reference method.  相似文献

The electrochemical behaviour of dacarbazine [5-(3,3-dimethyl-1-triazenyl) imidazole-4-carboxamide; DTIC] was investigated by Tast and differential pulse polarography (d.p.p.) at the dropping mercury electrode, by cyclic and differential pulse voltammetry at the hanging mercury drop electrode and by anodic voltammetry at the glassy carbon electrode. Calibration graphs were obtained for 2×10?8?2×10?5 M DTIC by d.p.p., for 5×10?9?1×10?5 M by adsorptive stripping voltammetry ar a hanging mercury drop electrode, and for 1?10×10?5 M by high-performance liquid chromatography with oxidative amperometric detection at a glassy carbon electrode. The methods are compared and applied to determine DTIC added to blood serum after a simple clean-up procedure.  相似文献

Optimum conditions have been found for voltammetric determination of mutagenic 5‐aminoquinoline, 6‐aminoquinoline and 3‐aminoquinoline by differential pulse voltammetry and adsorptive stripping differential pulse voltammetry on carbon paste electrode. The lowest limits of determination were found for adsorptive stripping differential pulse voltammetry in 0.1 mol dm?3 H3PO4 (5×10?7 mol dm?3 , 1×10?7 mol dm?3, and 1×10?7 mol dm?3 for 5‐aminoquinoline, 6‐aminoquinoline and 3‐aminoquinoline, respectively). The possibility to determine mixtures of 8‐aminoquinoline with 3‐aminoquinoline or 5‐aminoquinoline or 6‐aminoquinoline, and mixtures of 5‐aminoquinoline with 3‐aminoquinoline or 6‐aminoquinoline by differential pulse voltammetry was verified. Binary mixtures of 8‐aminoquinoline with 3‐aminoquinoline or 6‐aminoquinoline, and of 3‐aminoquinoline with 5‐aminoquinoline could be successfully analyzed.  相似文献

A new composite electrode is described for anodic stripping voltammetry determination of Pb(II) at trace level in aqueous solution. The electrode is based on the use of multiwalled carbon nanotubes and Amberlite IR-120. The anodic stripping voltammograms depend, to a large extent, on the composition of the modified electrode and the preconcentration conditions. Under optimum conditions, the anodic peak current at around ?0.57 V is linearly related to the concentration of Pb(II) in the range from 9.6?×?10?8 to 1.7?×?10?6 mol L?1 (R?=?0.998). The detection limit is 2.1?×?10?8 mol L?1, and the relative standard deviation (RSD) at 0.24?×?10?6 mol L?1 is 1.7% (n?=?6). The modified electrode was applied to the determination of Pb(II) using the standard addition method; the results showed average relative recoveries of 95% for the samples analysed.

The present work describes the development of a nanocomposite system and its application in construction of a new amperometric biosensor applied in the determination of total polyphenolic content from propolis extracts. The nanocomposite system was based on covalent immobilization of laccase on functionalized indium tin oxide nanoparticles and it was morphologically and structural characterized. The casting of the developed nanocomposite system on the surface of a screen-printed electrode was used for biosensor fabrication. The analytical performance characteristics of the settled biosensor were determined for rosmarinic acid, caffeic acid and catechol (as laccase specific substrate). The linearity was obtained in the range of 1.06×10?6 ? 1.50×10?5 mol L?1 for rosmarinic acid, 1.90×10?7 ? 2.80×10?6 mol L?1 for caffeic acid and 1.66×10?6 ? 7.00×10?6 mol L?1 for catechol. A good sensitivity of amperometric biosensor 141.15 nA µmol?1 L?1 and fair detection limit 7.08×10?8 mol L?1 were obtained for caffeic acid. The results obtained for polyphenolic content of propolis extracts were compared with the chromatographic data obtained by liquid-chromatography with diode array detection.   相似文献

For determinations of organic compounds by adsorptive stripping voltammetry till now the same material of the electrode has been used for the accumulation and stripping steps. This paper describes a new protocol for extending the range of organic compounds, which can be determined by adsorptive stripping voltammetry. In the proposed procedure the accumulation step was performed on the electrode modified by a lead film, which assures adsorption of the studied species on the modified electrode and then the stripping step of the accumulated substance was performed on the support of the lead film electrode. As an example rifampicine was accumulated by adsorption at the lead film electrode while in the stripping step lead film and then the accumulated rifampicine were oxidized at a glassy carbon electrode. Using an acetate buffer as a supporting electrolyte a calibration graph for rifampicine in the range from 2.5×10?10 to 1×10?8 mol L?1 was obtained. The detection limit for rifampicine following 60 s accumulation time was equal to 9×10?11 mol L?1. The obtained detection limit was comparable or lower than reported previously for other stripping voltammetric procedures. The proposed procedure was applied to rifampicine determination in pharmaceutical preparation.  相似文献

This paper reports a new method for determination of VB6 (pyridoxine hydrochloride) by its perturbation effects on a novel Belousov-Zhabotinskii (BZ) oscillating system. This novel BZ system, in which malic acid serves as the substrate, contains an enzyme-like complex, macrocyclic complex {[CuL](ClO4)2}, as catalyst. The ligand L in the complex is 5,7,7,12,14,14-hexamethyl-1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradeca-4,11-diene. Results show that the addition of pyridoxine hydrochloride can perturb the oscillation amplitude and period, and the change of the oscillation amplitude is linearly proportional to the concentration of pyridoxine hydrochloride in the range of 5×10?7?2.5×10?4 M. The obtained RSD with seven samples is 3.073%. An assay of pharmaceutical tablets of vitamin B6 was evaluated. Some foreign ions were studied with respect to their possible influence on the determination of pyridoxine hydrochloride. The factors which influence this reaction include the concentration of reactant, the temperature of the reaction, property of catalyst, etc. Furthermore, the possible reaction mechanism has been proposed using the Field-Körös-Noyes (FKN) model.   相似文献
