In the present paper we introduce the notion of an ideal of a partial monounary algebra. Further, for an ideal (I, f I ) of a partial monounary algebra (A, f A ) we define the quotient partial monounary algebra (A, f A )/(I, f I ). Let (X, f X ), (Y, f Y ) be partial monounary algebras. We describe all partial monounary algebras (P, f P ) such that (X, f X ) is an ideal of (P, f P ) and (P, f P )/(X, f X ) is isomorphic to (Y, f Y ). Krattenthaler, Orsina and Papi provided explicit formulas for the number of ad-nilpotent ideals with fixed class of nilpotence of a Borel subalgebra of a classical Lie algebra. Especially for types A and C they obtained refined results about these ideals with not only fixed class of nilpotence but also fixed dimension. In this paper, we shall follow their algorithm to determine the enumeration of ad-nilpotent b-ideals with fixed class of nilpotence and dimension for orthogonal Lie algebras, i.e., types B and D.  相似文献

This article concerns a class of finite-dimensional minimal non-nilpotent 2-solvable n-Lie algebras. It is shown that if L is a finite-dimensional minimal non-nilpotent 2-solvable n-Lie algebra, then L can be decomposed into a semi-direct of an ideal A and an (n ? 1)-dimensional subalgebra H 0 of L. Furthermore, H 0 acts irreducibly on A/A 1, and H 0 + A 1 is a self-normalizing maximal subalgebra of L with the core A 1, the derived algebra of A.  相似文献

Let A and B be graph algebras. In this paper we present the notion of an ideal in a graph algebra and prove that an ideal extension of A by B always exists. We describe (up to isomorphism) all such extensions.  相似文献

Let BA be a homomorphism of Hopf algebras and let C be an algebra. We consider the induction from B to A of C in two cases: when C is a B-interior algebra and when C is a B-module algebra. Our main results establish the connection between the two inductions. The inspiration comes from finite group representation theory, and some constructions work in even more general contexts.  相似文献

Given two epimorphisms of algebras A ? B and C ? B, we consider the pullback R. We introduce a particular class of algebras, the tree oriented pullback, where there is a close relationship between the category of indecomposable modules of these algebras. This leads us to prove that if A and C are hereditary algebras, then R is a tilted algebra.  相似文献

Both building upon and revising previous literature, this paper formulates the general notion of a Borel subalgebra B of a quasi-hereditary algebra A. We present various general constructions of Borel subalgebras, establish a triangular factorization of A, and relate the concept to graded Kazhdan–Lusztig theories in the sense of Cline et al. (Tôhoku Math. J. 45 (1993), 511–534). Various interesting types of Borel subalgebras arise naturally in different contexts. For example, `excellent" Borel subalgebras come about by abstracting the theory of Schubert varieties. Numerous examples from algebraic groups, q-Schur algebras, and quantum groups are considered in detail.  相似文献

In the present paper, we apply results from [Pió1] to prove that for an arbitrary total and locally finite unary algebra A of finite unary type K, its weak subalgebra lattice uniquely determines its strong subalgebra lattice (recall that in the case of total algebras the strong subalgebra lattice is the well-known lattice of all (total) subalgebras). More precisely, we prove that for every unary partial algebra B of the same unary type K, if weak subalgebra lattices of A and B are isomorphic (with A as above), then the strong subalgebra lattices of A and B are isomorphic, and moreover B is also total and locally finite. At the end of this paper we also show the necessity of all the three conditions for A. Received September 5, 1997; accepted in final form October 7, 1998.  相似文献

Let C(X) be the algebra of all real-valued continuous functions on a completely regular Hausdorff space X, and C*(X) the subalgebra of bounded functions. We prove that for any intermediate algebra A between C*(X) and C(X), other than C*(X), there exists a smaller intermediate algebra with the same real maximal ideals as in A. The space X is called A-compact if any real maximal ideal in A corresponds to a point in X. It follows that, for a noncompact space X, there does not exist any minimal intermediate algebra A for which A is A-compact. This completes the answer to a question raised by Redlin and Watson in 1987.  相似文献

Let A be a monomial quasi-hereditary algebra with a pure strong exact Borel subalgebra B.It is proved that the category of induced good modules over B is contained in the category of good modules over A;that the characteristic module of A is an induced module of that of B via the exact functor-(?)_B A if and only if the induced A-module of an injective B-module remains injective as a B-module.Moreover,it is shown that an exact Borel subalgebra of a basic quasi-hereditary serial algebra is right serial and that the characteristic module of a basic quasi-hereditary serial algebra is exactly the induced module of that of its exact Borel subalgebra.  相似文献

This article is devoted to faithfully flat Hopf bi-Galois extensions defined by Fischman, Montgomery, and Schneider. Let H be a Hopf algebra with bijective antipode. Given a faithfully flat right H-Galois extension A/R and a right H-comodule subalgebra C ? A such that A is faithfully flat over C, we provide necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of a Hopf algebra W so that A/C is a left W-Galois extension and A a (W, H)-bicomodule algebra. As a consequence, we prove that if R = k, there is a Hopf algebra W such that A/C is a left W-Galois extension and A a (W, H)-bicomodule algebra if and only if C is an H-submodule of A with respect to the Miyashita–Ulbrich action.  相似文献

Abstract

In this paper, we define a new presentation for the Dunkl-Opdam subalgebra of the rational Cherednik algebra. This presentation uncovers the Dunkl-Opdam subalgebra as a Drinfeld algebra. We use this fact to define Dirac cohomology for the DO subalgebra. We also formalize generalized graded Hecke algebras and extend a Langlands classification to generalized graded Hecke algebras.  相似文献

A subalgebra B of a Lie algebra L is called a c-ideal of L if there is an ideal C of L such that L = B + C and BC ≤ B L , where B L is the largest ideal of L contained in B. This is analogous to the concept of c-normal subgroup, which has been studied by a number of authors. We obtain some properties of c-ideals and use them to give some characterisations of solvable and supersolvable Lie algebras. We also classify those Lie algebras in which every one-dimensional subalgebra is a c-ideal.  相似文献

We prove that, for every natural number n, there exists a unital semisimple Banach star algebra Aand a closed star subalgebra Bof the centre of A, different from C, such that the global B-homological dimension and the B-homological bidimension of Aare both equal to n. The algebras Aand Bcan be taken to be function algebras.  相似文献

UniversalC*-algebrasC*(A) exist for certain topological *-algebras called algebras with aC*-enveloping algebra. A Frechet *-algebraA has aC*-enveloping algebra if and only if every operator representation ofA mapsA into bounded operators. This is proved by showing that every unbounded operator representation π, continuous in the uniform topology, of a topological *-algebraA, which is an inverse limit of Banach *-algebras, is a direct sum of bounded operator representations, thereby factoring through the enveloping pro-C*-algebraE(A) ofA. Given aC*-dynamical system (G,A,α), any topological *-algebraB containingC c (G,A) as a dense *-subalgebra and contained in the crossed productC*-algebraC*(G,A,α) satisfiesE(B) =C*(G,A,α). IfG = ℝ, ifB is an α-invariant dense Frechet *-subalgebra ofA such thatE(B) =A, and if the action α onB ism-tempered, smooth and by continuous *-automorphisms: then the smooth Schwartz crossed productS(ℝ,B,α) satisfiesE(S(ℝ,B,α)) =C*(ℝ,A,α). WhenG is a Lie group, theC -elementsC (A), the analytic elementsC ω(A) as well as the entire analytic elementsC є(A) carry natural topologies making them algebras with aC*-enveloping algebra. Given a non-unitalC*-algebraA, an inductive system of idealsI α is constructed satisfyingA =C*-ind limI α; and the locally convex inductive limit ind limI α is anm-convex algebra with theC*-enveloping algebraA and containing the Pedersen idealK a ofA. Given generatorsG with weakly Banach admissible relationsR, we construct universal topological *-algebraA(G, R) and show that it has aC*-enveloping algebra if and only if (G, R) isC*-admissible.  相似文献

An algebra A is said to be a congruence-preserving extension of a subalgebra B if the mapping from the congruence lattice of B to that of A, assigning to each congruence relation β on B the minimal congruence relation on A containing β, is an isomorphism. We give a necessary and sufficient condition on the congruence lattice of a subdirect product B of finitely many algebras in a congruence-distributive variety that the full direct product be a congruence-preserving extension of B. We give several applications to congruence lattices of lattices. Received May 25, 2000; accepted in final form January 22, 2001.  相似文献

Let A be a central simple algebra of degree n over a field of characteristic different from 2 and let B ? A be a maximal commutative subalgebra. We show that if there is an involution on A that preserves B and such that the socle of each local component of B is a homogeneous C 2 -module for this action, then B is a Frobenius algebra. For a fixed commutative Frobenius algebra B of finite dimension n equipped with an involution σ, we characterize the central simple algebras A of degree n that contain B and carry involutions extending σ. A construction of bases for cell modules of the Birman–Murakami–Wenzl (or B–M–W) algebra B n (q,r) by lifting bases for cell modules of B n−1(q,r) is given. By iterating this procedure, we produce cellular bases for B–M–W algebras on which a large Abelian subalgebra, generated by elements which generalise the Jucys–Murphy elements from the representation theory of the Iwahori–Hecke algebra of the symmetric group, acts triangularly. The triangular action of this Abelian subalgebra is used to provide explicit criteria, in terms of the defining parameters q and r, for B–M–W algebras to be semisimple. The aforementioned constructions provide generalisations, to the algebras under consideration here, of certain results from the Specht module theory of the Iwahori–Hecke algebra of the symmetric group. Let A have a locally finite and multiparameter indexed filtration ?, and let B be a homomorphic image of A. Thus B has the locally finite and multiparameter indexed filtration induced from ?. Here we study a relation between the associated graded algebra of A and that of B and use this result to calculate the Gelfand–Kirillov dimension of several algebras related to quantized algebras and Poisson enveloping algebras.  相似文献
