根据双光纤Bragg光栅(FBG)外腔半导体激光器相干失效的物理过程, 运用速率方程和双FBG耦合模理论, 分析了双FBG外腔半导体激光器相干失效产生和控制的条件, 提出了实现和控制双FBG外腔半导体激光器相干失效多模稳定工作的方法. 双FBG外腔半导体激光器在相干失效下具有多模的稳定工作状态, 相干失效长度缩短, 相干失效长度内光谱稳定. 实验测量结果表明, 外腔反射率为3%时, 从非相干失效状态到相干失效状态, 半峰值全宽度从0.5 nm突然展宽到0.9 nm. 在相干失效状态下, 功率稳定, 边模抑制比大于45 dB, 在0℃–70℃工作温度范围内峰值波长漂移小于0.5 nm, 最小相干失效长度小于0.5 m. 双FBG外腔半导体激光器相干失效的应用对提高光纤放大器和光纤激光器的性能具有重要意义.

In this work, the dependence on the speckle size in the performance of a micro displacement sensor based on fiber specklegrams stored in a photorefractive BSO (Bi12SiO20) crystal is experimentally demonstrated. In our experimental setup, a plastic optical fiber (POF) was used to generate a subjective speckle pattern which was recorded in the crystal by using a four-wave mixing arrangement in transmission geometry. The speckle size was controlled by modifying the diameter of a pupil aperture adjacent to a lens producing the image of the speckle. The signal speckle beam was mixed into the crystal with two counter propagating pump beams to generate a fourth beam which is proportional to the conjugate of the original speckle beam. Real time fringe patterns were obtained at the output of the system by producing micro displacements of the fiber output end. Increases of the phase conjugation reflectivity and the visibility of the fringe patterns were appreciated when the speckle length was increased by decreasing the pupil aperture diameter. This behavior allowed recovering the autocorrelation functions of fringe patterns associated to micro displacements that initially led to decorrelation, and therefore, to improve the dynamic range of the metrological system. Until the best of our knowledge this is the first report about the influence of the speckle size on fiber specklegrams sensors recorded on photorefractive materials by four-wave mixing. 相似文献

When an acoustic wave excites a phase-shifted fiber Bragg grating (PSFBG) several properties of the transmission/reflection spectrum, such as transmission notch depth and spectral bandwidth are influenced. In this work, a study on the effect of acoustic waves in PSFBGs is presented. The results are supported by theoretical simulation and experimental work. We introduce both concave and convex rectangular apodizations in the middle of fiber Bragg gratings to achieve slow light. Based on the nonlinear coupled mode equations (NLCMEs), the transmission characteristics of grating solitons in rectangle-apodized gratings are numerically simulated and analyzed. The rectangular apodization can change the grating coupling coefficient to give rise to slow and capture the solitons in gratings. The effects of the soliton energy parameters, the width of rectangular apodization and the variation of the coupling coefficient on the soliton transmission are presented. The results show that, the velocity of solitons can be slowed down, and the capability to capture a soliton depends on the energy of input solitons, coupling coefficient, and the rectangular width. Two kinds of soliton capture methods are proposed and compared with each other. 相似文献

In this paper, we demonstrate that an arbitrary order (including both integer and fractional orders) Hilbert transform (HT) of an input optical waveform can be implemented by a simple and practical phase-shifted fiber Bragg grating (PSFBG) operated in reflection mode. The PSFBG consists of two concatenated identical uniform FBGs with a proper phase shift between them. It is proved that both the phase shift of the FBGs and the apodizing profile of the refractive index modulation determine the order of the transform. The simulation results show that the device can perform arbitrary fractional Hilbert transform (FHT) with excellent accuracy for input signals with up to hundreds of GHz bandwidth using feasible FBG structures. 相似文献

The diffraction properties of a system of multi-layer volume holographic gratings under an ultrashort pulsed beam with arbitrary temporal profiles are investigated using the multi-layer coupled wave theory. The dependence of the pulse profiles of the diffracted beams, diffraction bandwidth and the total diffraction efficiency of the multi-layer system on the temporal profiles of the input ultrashort pulse are investigated. The calculated results indicate that the temporal shape of the input pulsed beams is an important factor in the analysis of the propagation characteristics. We proposed and demonstrated a bidirectional SCM-WDM PON using a reflective filter and cyclic AWG where up/downlink data could be provided using a single optical source. In the proposed scheme, the signal for downstream was modulated by a single CW laser diode and remodulated in the optical network unit as an upstream, the proposed WDM-PON scheme can offer the SCM signal for broadcasting service. 针对变包含角平面光栅单色器前置平面镜(PM)受热负载而导致的单色器分辨率降低问题,提出优化聚焦常数(Cff)补偿分辨率的方法。首先,计算不同Cff值时PM的热功率吸收谱,在此基础上对镜面热负载进行热-结构耦合分析,得到不同热负载时PM表面热变形的变化量;然后,结合理想分辨率公式和光线追迹软件求出加热负载的单色器分辨率;最后,优化Cff实现分辨率的补偿。研究结果表明,以软X射线谱学显微光束线站为例,当出射光能量为1 000 eV时,将Cff由1.8优化至1.84,单色器分辨率即可与无热负载时的相同,该优化方法可有效补偿单色器分辨率的降低。 相似文献

针对由器件光谱特性引起的光栅光谱仪测量误差问题,提出了一种误差校正方法,并对该技术中的理论模型、数值提取算法和精度、误差校正精度进行了研究。首先,在深入剖析光栅光谱仪工作原理的基础上,建立了光谱误差校正的理论模型;其次,在研究光栅、探测器、反射镜等核心器件光谱特性曲线典型特征的基础上,提出了器件光谱响应参数提取算法,并对该算法的精度进行了实验研究;最后利用本文所建立的理论模型和数值提取算法对光栅光谱仪测得的溴钨灯光谱进行了校正,并将校正后的结果与溴钨灯标准谱线进行了比较。实验结果表明,本文所提出的数值提取算法的平均误差为0.39%,校正后的光谱曲线与溴钨灯标准光谱曲线一致,说明本文所提出的校正技术能够有效消除器件光谱特性引入的误差。 相似文献
