A biosensor device,built from graphene nanoribbons(GNRs) with nanopores,was designed and studied by firstprinciples quantum transport simulation.We have demonstrated the intrinsic transport properties of the device and the effect of different nucleobases on device properties when they are located in the nanopores of GNRs.It was found that the device’s current changes remarkably with the species of nucleobases,which originates from their different chemical compositions and coupling strengths with GNRs.In addition,our first-principles results clearly reveal that the distinguished ability of a device’s current depends on the position of the pore to some extent.These results may present a new way to read off the nucleobases sequence of a single-stranded DNA(ssDNA) molecule by such GNRs-based device with designed nanopores 相似文献

Spin–orbit coupling effects on the in-plane optical anisotropy of semiconductor quantum wells 下载免费PDF全文
We theoretically study the influence of the spin–orbit coupling(SOC) on the in-plane optical anisotropy(IPOA) induced by in-plane uniaxial strain and interface asymmetry in(001) GaAs/AlGaAs quantum wells(QWs) with different well width. It is found that the SOC has more significant impact on the IPOA for the transition of the first valence subband of heavy hole to the first conduction band(1H1E) than that of 1L1E. The reason has been discussed. The IPOA of(001) InGaAs/InP QWs has been measured by reflectance difference spectroscopy, whose amplitude is about one order larger than that of GaAs/AlGaAs QWs. The anisotropic interface potential parameters of InGaAs/InP QWs are also determined. The influence of the SOC effect on the IPOA of InGaAs/InP QWs when the QWs are under tensile, compressive or zero biaxial strain are also investigated in theory. Our results demonstrate that the SOC has significant effect on the IPOA especially for semiconductor QWs with small well width, and therefore cannot be ignored. 相似文献

We demonstrate a 300?μm long silicon photonic crystal (PC) slot waveguide device for on-chip near-infrared absorption spectroscopy, based on the Beer-Lambert law for the detection of methane gas. The device combines slow light in a PC waveguide with high electric field intensity in a low-index 90?nm wide slot, which effectively increases the optical absorption path length. We study and experimentally demonstrate a sensitive single-shot correlation system in which only a diffraction grating is used to produce a transverse time delay (TTD) in the reference pulse.The mechanism of the TTD introduced by the grating and the formation of the relative time delay (RTD) in the noncollinear correlation system are analyzed in detail.By using our system,we successfully measured the temporal duration of picosecond laser pulses,and a time resolution of ~0.047 ps is obtained at 1047 nm.The impact of the grating dispersion and the second harmonic beam walk-off effect on the measurement are considered. 相似文献

Microscopic models based on evolutionary games on spatially extended scales have recently been developed to address the fundamental issue of species coexistence. In this pursuit almost all existing works focus on the relevant dynamical behaviors originated from a single but physically reasonable initial condition. To gain comprehensive and global insights into the dynamics of coexistence, here we explore the basins of coexistence and extinction and investigate how they evolve as a basic parameter of the system is varied. Our model is cyclic competitions among three species as described by the classical rock-paper-scissors game, and we consider both discrete lattice and continuous space, incorporating species mobility and intraspecific competitions. Our results reveal that, for all cases considered, a basin of coexistence always emerges and persists in a substantial part of the parameter space, indicating that coexistence is a robust phenomenon. Factors such as intraspecific competition can, in fact, promote coexistence by facilitating the emergence of the coexistence basin. In addition, we find that the extinction basins can exhibit quite complex structures in terms of the convergence time toward the final state for different initial conditions. We have also developed models based on partial differential equations, which yield basin structures that are in good agreement with those from microscopic stochastic simulations. To understand the origin and emergence of the observed complicated basin structures is challenging at the present due to the extremely high dimensional nature of the underlying dynamical system. 相似文献

Ultraviolet and visible upconversion emissions in Tb3+/Yb3+ co-doped YF3–BaF2–Ba(PO3)2 glasses were observed under 980-nm laser diode excitation. The dependence of the emission intensities of Tb3+ on the pump power reveals that two-photon processes account for blue cooperative emission of Yb3+ at 476 nm and green upconversion emission of Tb3+ at 543 nm, and three-photon processes for ultraviolet emission of Tb3+ in the wavelength range of 379–435 nm. The effects of Tb3+ concentration on the emission intensity and the lifetime of Tb3+ and Yb3+ are investigated in detail. It is found that the cooperative energy transfer from a pair of excited Yb3+ ions to a ground Tb3+ ion is responsible for the appearance of blue and green upconversion emissions due to the 5D4→7F
J
(J=6,5,4,3) transitions of Tb3+, and the resonance energy transfer from Yb3+ to Tb3+ accounts for the population on the 5D3,5G6 level and ultraviolet upconversion emission. 相似文献

借鉴直流、交流的研究经验,比较了纳秒脉冲条件下几种不同的电树枝老化实验方法。对单针-板电极和多针-板电极在纳秒脉冲下实验结果的一致性进行考察,结果表明,多针-板电极系统可以在提高实验效率的同时保证结果的准确性。采用步进法和累加法进行了不同频率下聚苯乙烯电树枝引发实验,结果表明:两种方法得到的纳秒脉冲下聚苯乙烯电树枝引发电压-频率特性基本一致,在50~500 Hz范围内,引发电压随频率的升高而降低;在500~800 Hz范围内,引发电压随频率的升高而增加。最后讨论了对于不同脉冲功率装置中绝缘材料老化试验设计的方法。 相似文献
