We propose a design and operation of a hybrid-toroidal anvil used for the large volume cubic high pressure apparatus (LV-CHPA), such that it is possible to obtain a higher sintered quality, less weight and cost of tungsten carbide (WC) anvil than the conventional anvil. We use the finite element simulations to show the distributions of the stress on the surface and in the bulk of the WC anvils, and conclude that, for a given load on the hybrid-toroidal anvil, the volume of the compressed press medium has increased by 4.88%, and the rate of the transmitted pressure has increased by 6.72% compared with the conventional anvil. Furthermore, the advantages of the hybrid-toroidal anvil are that the movement of anvils increases by 37.14% and the growth rate of the fatigue crack decreases by 40%. This has been proved by the high pressure experiments. This work gives an approach to optimize the WC anvils used for the LV-CHPA and presents a simple method to achieve the higher sample pressure and the larger sample volume.  相似文献

在高压实验科学中, 各类宝石压腔是最为常见的高压设备之一, 其样品腔中压力的精确标定是实验的关键. 目前, 人们主要通过加入红宝石等压标物质来进行定压, 但压标物质的加入会增加实验的装样难度, 改变样品腔中的物理化学环境, 甚至直接与实验样品发生反应, 从而对实验结果产生影响. 在0–6.3 GPa和300–573 K下, 利用共聚焦拉曼显微镜, 根据白宝石压砧砧面的ν12 拉曼频移与温度和压力的变化关系, 建立了一套适用于高温高压水热体系的无压标白宝石压腔系统. 实验结果表明: 白宝石砧面的ν12 峰随着压力的升高发生线性蓝移, 而随着温度升高则发生线性红移, 且温度和压力对拉曼频移的影响存在耦合效应. 利用本实验结果, 可在高温高压下根据白宝石砧面的拉曼频移计算出样品腔的压力P=(Δλ-0.01913×ΔT)/(1.9158-0.00105×ΔT), 在物理学、材料学和地球科学等领域具有重要应用.  相似文献

以有限元法为理论分析手段模拟分析了国产六面顶压机配套顶锤内部的温度场和热应力分布.探寻出了XKY-6×2000 MN型六面顶压机顶锤内部的温度场分布以及热应力取值.模拟结果表明加热顶锤内部温度分布不均匀,不均匀的温度分布产生了热剪切应力,热剪切应力峰值达到0.62 GPa,分布在41.5°小斜面上.加热顶锤内部的剪切应力值较非加热锤内部的剪切应力值高出18.0%.模拟分析结果与金刚石的高压合成实验事实相符,在理论上解释了加热顶锤使用寿命较非加热顶锤使用寿命短的原因,此项工作对于提高大顶锤使用寿命,降低生产 关键词: 热应力 顶锤 有限元法 工业金刚石  相似文献

Ge–Sn compound is predicted to be a direct band gap semiconductor with a tunable band gap. However, the bulk synthesis of this material by conventional methods at ambient pressure is unsuccessful due to the poor solubility of Sn in Ge. We report the successful synthesis of Ge–Sn in a laser-heated diamond anvil cell (LHDAC) at ~7.6 GPa &; ~2000 K. In situ Raman spectroscopy of the sample showed, apart from the characteristic Raman modes of Ge TO (Г) and β-Sn TO (Г), two additional Raman modes at ~225 cm?1 (named Ge–Sn1) and ~133 cm?1 (named Ge–Sn2). When the sample was quenched, the Ge–Sn1 mode remained stable at ~215 cm?1, whereas the Ge–Sn2 mode had diminished in intensity. Comparing the Ge–Sn Raman mode at ~225 cm?1 with the one observed in thin film studies, we interpret that the observed phonon mode may be formed due to Sn-rich Ge–Sn system. The additional Raman mode seen at ~133 cm?1 suggested the formation of low symmetry phase under high P–T conditions. The results are compared with Ge–Si binary system.  相似文献

A rotational diamond anvil cell is the most suitable deformation apparatus with which to investigate the rheological properties of deep-Earth materials at pressures similar to those found in the lower mantle and core. However, slip between the sample and piston is still a problem, since the slip prevents the attainment of a constant strain rate and interferes with the uniform deformation of a sample. In this paper, we report that using a diamond anvil with deep grooves results in a marked improvement in the coupling between the sample and the diamond anvils.  相似文献

In situ high-energy X-ray diffraction measurements were made for the first time on a water-saturated silicate melt at high pressure and temperature. A modified hydrothermal diamond anvil cell (HDAC), designed to minimize the path length of the X-ray beam within a diamond anvil and to increase the solid angle of the diffracted beam, was used to reduce high background contributions and extend X-ray diffraction data collection in Q space. Quantitative differential pair distribution function (PDF) analysis of X-ray diffraction data show that the first measurable (Si–O) peak is 0.095 Å greater in length in the hydrous melt than in the starting glass. Contributions from the H2O O–O correlations, as well as from the second nearest neighbor O–O correlations within the silicate melt, are evident within the second peak of the differential PDF. The procedure described opens new opportunities to directly investigate volatile-rich melts at high pressure and temperature.  相似文献

A recently developed portable multi‐anvil device for in situ angle‐dispersive synchrotron diffraction studies at pressures up to 25 GPa and temperatures up to 2000 K is described. The system consists of a 450 ton V7 Paris–Edinburgh press combined with a Stony Brook `T‐cup' multi‐anvil stage. Technical developments of the various modifications that were made to the initial device in order to adapt the latter to angular‐dispersive X‐ray diffraction experiments are fully described, followed by a presentation of some results obtained for various systems, which demonstrate the power of this technique and its potential for crystallographic studies. Such a compact large‐volume set‐up has a total mass of only 100 kg and can be readily used on most synchrotron radiation facilities. In particular, several advantages of this new set‐up compared with conventional multi‐anvil cells are discussed. Possibilities of extension of the (P,T) accessible domain and adaptation of this device to other in situ measurements are given.  相似文献

A modified Drickamer anvil apparatus has been developed to combine with monochromatic synchrotron radiation for high‐pressure X‐ray diffraction and radiography in the GSECARS bending‐magnet station, 13‐BM‐D, at the Advanced Photon Source, Argonne, USA. Using this experimental set‐up, deformation experiments can be carried out at pressures in excess of 30 GPa at high temperatures. Differential stresses and total axial strains of polycrystalline platinum and Mg2SiO4 ringwoodite have been measured up to 32 GPa at room temperature using tungsten carbide anvils. The total axial strain of the platinum increases with pressure and reaches about 55% at the highest pressure. A test run using a composite sintered diamond anvil system was performed. The use of X‐ray‐tranparent anvils enables the entire Debye rings to be observed up to 10° 2θ. With high‐energy photons (65–70 keV), this allows a coverage in Q (= 2π sinθ/λ) to about 3 Å?1, thus making it possible to evaluate hydrostatic pressure and differential stress in crystalline minerals using diffraction. This, coupled with the ability to determine axial strain, allows deformation studies to be performed to pressures above 30 GPa.  相似文献

We demonstrate that combining the laser heating (LH) system in a diamond anvil cell (DAC) with a tandem acousto-optical tunable filter (TAOTF) allows measurement of the temperature distribution (TD) under infrared (IR, 1064?nm) LH of a specimen under high pressure in a DAC. The main component of the system is a TAOTF synchronized with a video camera. The system allows TD mapping within a temperature range of approximately 1000–2000?K on the surface of a laser-heated object (Fe plates) at high pressure in a DAC with a spatial resolution 2?µm by fitting the actual signal to Planck’s equation at each point.  相似文献

采用基于密度泛函理论的第一性原理计算方法,研究了Ag-Mg-Zn合金中金属间化合物AgMg,Mg4Zn8和Ag8Mg4Zn4在高温高压下的结构稳定性、弹性性能和热动力学性质.理论计算结果与实验值和其他的理论结果符合得非常好.研究表明:金属间化合物AgMg,Mg4Zn8和Ag8Mg4Zn4在零温零压下是力学稳定的;Mg4Zn8和Ag8Mg4Zn4为延性相,而AgMg则为脆性相;在这三种金属间化合物中,Ag8Mg4Zn4的塑性最好,AgMg的塑性最差.利用准谐Debye模型,讨论了高温高压下Ag-Mg-Zn合金中金属间化合物的摩尔振动内能Uvib,m,摩尔Helmholtz振动自由能Avib,m,摩尔振动熵Svib,m,摩尔定容热容Cv,m,摩尔定压热容Cp,m,热膨胀系数α,Griüneisen 参量γ和Debye温度(O).  相似文献

报道了一种新型二级6-8型大腔体静高压装置.该装置是以国产DS6×800T铰链式六面顶压机为构架,在其六面体压腔中直接放入二级6-8模(球分割)增压装置以产生10GPa以上的压力,还实验了不同规格的预密封边和不同密度的叶蜡石对压力产生效率的影响,在室温下用BiⅠ-Ⅱ(2.55GPa),Ⅲ-Ⅴ(7.7GPa)和SnⅠ-Ⅱ(9.4GPa)在高压下的相变对14/8(8面体传压介质边长/8面体压腔边长)规格压腔进行了压力标定.实验结果表明,该系统可以在加载压力(油压)约为3×106N(~42 关键词: 铰链式六面顶压机 6-8型球分割大腔体静高压装置 压力标定  相似文献

Investigating the thermal transport properties of materials is of great importance in the field of earth science and for the development of materials under extremely high temperatures and pressures. However, it is an enormous challenge to characterize the thermal and physical properties of materials using the diamond anvil cell (DAC) platform. In the present study, a steady-state method is used with a DAC and a combination of thermocouple temperature measurement and numerical analysis is performed to calculate the thermal conductivity of the material. To this end, temperature distributions in the DAC under high pressure are analyzed. We propose a three-dimensional radiative-conductive coupled heat transfer model to simulate the temperature field in the main components of the DAC and calculate in situ thermal conductivity under high-temperature and high-pressure conditions. The proposed model is based on the finite volume method. The obtained results show that heat radiation has a great impact on the temperature field of the DAC, so that ignoring the radiation effect leads to large errors in calculating the heat transport properties of materials. Furthermore, the feasibility of studying the thermal conductivity of different materials is discussed through a numerical model combined with locally measured temperature in the DAC. This article is expected to become a reference for accurate measurement of in situ thermal conductivity in DACs at high-temperature and high-pressure conditions.  相似文献

Although the idea of an X‐ray absorption spectrometer in dispersive geometry was initially conceived for the study of transient phenomena, the instrument at the European Synchrotron Radiation facility has been increasingly exploited for studies at extreme conditions of pressure using diamond anvil cells. The main results of investigations at high pressure obtained at beamline ID24 are reviewed. These concern not only fundamental topics, such as the local and the electronic structure as well as the magnetic properties of matter, but also geological relevant questions such as the behaviour of Fe in the main components of the Earth's interior.  相似文献

An experimental system to measure the elastic wave velocities of hot‐pressed polycrystalline samples at high pressure and high temperature has been installed at SPring‐8. It uses a combination of the ultrasonic pulse‐echo‐overlap method and Kawai‐type multi‐anvil apparatus (SPEED‐1500). X‐ray radiographic imaging enables the sample length to be determined at high pressure and high temperature, which is indispensable for precise determination of elastic wave velocity. Precise measurements of the elastic wave velocities of various minerals have been determined at pressures up to 19 GPa and temperatures up to 1673 K. The experimental technique provides the precise elastic wave velocities of various materials corresponding to those in the Earth's mantle.  相似文献

The applicability of fibre-reinforced polymers for fabrication of high pressure cells was assessed using finite element analysis and experimental testing. Performance and failure modes for the key components of the cell working in tension and in compression were evaluated and the ways for optimising the designs were established. These models were used in construction of a miniature fully non-metallic diamond anvil cell for magnetic ac susceptibility measurements in a magnetic property measurement system. The cell is approximately 14 mm long, 8.5 mm in diameter and was demonstrated to reach a pressure of 5.6 GPa. AC susceptibility data collected on Dy2O3 demonstrate the performance of the cell in magnetic property measurements and confirm that there is no screening of the sample by the environment which typically accompanies the use of conventional metallic high pressure cells in oscillating magnetic fields.  相似文献

Abstract

In the framework of the bisoliton model we have studied the critical temperature T c, as a function of the pressure P and of the hole concentration δ for the high temperature superconductors YBa2Cu3Ox and (La1-xMx)2CuO4. Our results for δ ln Tc/δ ln V as a function of T c describe quite satisfactorily the general trend of the experimental data. Furthermore we show that in the bisoliton model the energy gap δ (in units of Jg3/3, where J is the nearest-neighbour exchange integral and g is the nonlinearity parameter) is an universal function of δ/g. An analogous property is valid for T c By fitting the maximum value of T c we are able also to reproduce the experimental data for T c(δ).  相似文献
