Piezoelectric bimorph actuators are used in a variety of applications, including micro positioning, vibration control, and micro robotics. The nature of the aforementioned applications calls for the dynamic characteristics identification of actuator at the embodiment design stage. For decades, many linear models have been presented to describe the dynamic behavior of this type of actuators; however, in many situations, such as resonant actuation, the piezoelectric actuators exhibit a softening nonlinear behavior; hence, an accurate dynamic model is demanded to properly predict the nonlinearity. In this study, first, the nonlinear stress–strain relationship of a piezoelectric material at high frequencies is modified. Then, based on the obtained constitutive equations and Euler–Bernoulli beam theory, a continuous nonlinear dynamic model for a piezoelectric bending actuator is presented. Next, the method of multiple scales is used to solve the discretized nonlinear differential equations. Finally, the results are compared with the ones obtained experimentally and nonlinear parameters are identified considering frequency response and phase response simultaneously. Also, in order to evaluate the accuracy of the proposed model, it is tested out of the identification range as well.  相似文献

One of the major problems in structural fatigue life analysis is establishing structural load spectra under actual operating conditions.This study conducts theoretical research and experimental validation of quasi-static load spectra on bogie frame structures of high-speed trains.The quasistatic load series that corresponds to quasi-static deformation modes are identified according to the structural form and bearing conditions of high-speed train bogie frames.Moreover,a force-measuring frame is designed and manufactured based on the quasi-static load series.The load decoupling model of the quasi-static load series is then established via calibration tests.Quasi-static load–time histories,together with online tests and decoupling analysis,are obtained for the intermediate range of the Beijing—Shanghai dedicated passenger line.The damage consistency calibration of the quasi-static discrete load spectra is performed according to a damage consistency criterion and a genetic algorithm.The calibrated damage that corresponds with the quasi-static discrete load spectra satisfies the safety requirements of bogie frames.  相似文献

The circumferential vibration of a gear pair is a parametric excitation caused by nonlinear tooth stiffness, which fluctuates with meshing. In addition, the vibration characteristics of the gear pair become complicated owing to the tooth profile error and backlash. It is considered that the circumferential vibration of the gear pair is affected by the torsional vibration of the shafts. It is important to understand quantitatively the vibration characteristics of the gear system considering the shafts. Therefore, the purpose of this research was to clarify the nonlinear vibration characteristics of a gear pair considering the influence of the shafts using theoretical methods. To achieve this objective, calculations were performed using equations of motion in which the circumferential vibration of the gear pair and the torsional vibration of the shafts were coupled. The nonlinear tooth stiffness was represented by a sine wave. The influence of tooth separation was considered by defining a nonlinear function using backlash and the tooth profile error. For the numerical calculations, both stable and unstable periodic solutions were obtained by using the shooting method. The effect of the shafts on the gear system vibration were clarified by comparing the results in the cases in which the shaft was not considered, one shaft was considered, and both shafts were considered.  相似文献

以空间刚架结构为研究对象,应用谱元法研究其动力学特性,依次推导出杆、轴和铁木辛柯梁的动力学刚度阵,进而得到空间刚架的动力学刚度阵和频域响应的理论方程,拓展了谱元法应用范围。编程计算获得空间刚架的固有频率和点的谐响应曲线,与有限元分析相比较,进一步得到载荷下的瞬态响应。研究表明,谱元法在刚架结构的动力学特性分析中,比有限元方法高效高精度,更适宜解决中高频振动问题。  相似文献

The measuring tube is the core sensitive unit of the Coriolis mass flow sensor. Its design parameters directly influence natural frequency and sensitivity, such as shape and structure dimensions. In this study, we obtained under concentrated force the equivalent elastic coefficient of the measuring tube by adopting static analysis and calculating static deflection curves, including the respective U-shape, slightly curved, and straight tubes. We then obtained the resonant frequency from the second-order vibration equation. Additionally, the maximum sensitivity and position coordinates were obtained by calculating the torsional displacement curve of the measuring tube under the distribution of Coriolis force during a rated flow. Sensor models with different measuring tube shapes were designed by applying this theoretical analysis. Calibration tests for sensors were performed using a static gravimetric method. Theoretical analysis and test results show that the resonant frequency and sensitivity of the sensors calculated by applying static mechanical analysis and Coriolis distributing force align with the experimental results, thereby proving the validity of the theoretical method. Furthermore, the proposed method simultaneously obtained the relation curve of the measuring tube structure dimensions and natural frequency and sensitivity. It therefore provides theoretical evidence for the sensor design and detector installation position.  相似文献

Vibration energy harvesters(VEHs) can transform ambient vibration energy to electricity and have been widely investigated as promising self-powered devices for wireless sensor networks, wearable sensors, and applications of a micro-electro-mechanical system(MEMS). However, the ambient vibration is always too weak to hinder the high energy conversion efficiency. In this paper, the integrated frame composed of piezoelectric beams and mechanical amplifiers is proposed to improve the energy conversion efficiency of a VEH. First, the initial structures of a piezoelectric frame(PF) and an amplification frame(AF) are designed. The dynamic model is then established to analyze the influence of key structural parameters on the mechanical amplification factor. Finite element simulation is conducted to study the energy harvesting performance, where the stiffness characteristics and power output in the cases of series and parallel load resistance are discussed in detail. Furthermore, piezoelectric beams with variable cross-sections are introduced to optimize and improve the energy harvesting efficiency. Advantages of the PF with the AF are illustrated by comparison with conventional piezoelectric cantilever beams. The results show that the proposed integrated VEH has a good mechanical amplification capability and is more suitable for low-frequency vibration conditions.  相似文献

This paper studies self-synchronization and stability of a dual-motor driven vibration system with a two-stage vibration isolation frame. Oscillation amplitude of the material box large enough can be ensured on the vibration system in order to screen materials. Reduction of the dynamic load transmitted to the foundation can also be achieved for the vibration system. A Lagrange equation is used to set up the motion differential equations of the system, and a dimensionless coupled equation of the eccentric rotors is obtained using a method of modified average small parameter. According to the existence condition of zero solution in the dimensionless coupled equation of the eccentric rotors, the precondition for commencing self-synchronization motion is achieved.The stability condition of self-synchronization is obtained based on the Routh-Hurwitz criterion. The theoretical analysis is validated by simulations and experiments.  相似文献

In a previous study, the authors have proved that in theory the introduction of a cubic non-linear damping can produce ideal vibration isolation such that the system force transmissibility over the resonant frequency region is modified, but the transmissibility over the non-resonant regions remain unaffected. The present study is concerned with both an experimental verification of this theoretical finding and the selection of the cubic damping characteristic parameter required to achieve a desired performance for a single degree of freedom vibration isolation system. These results provide an important basis for the design and practical application of non-linearly damped vibration isolation systems in engineering practice.  相似文献

Summary A semi-infinite plate with an oblique edge crack is analyzed as a thin plate bending problem and a plane elastic problem. The rational mapping function of the sum of fractional expressions and the complex variable method are used. Closed solutions are obtained for these respective problems. Stress distributions, stress intensity factors are investigated for loads causing transverse bending, twisting and uniform tension. The relations between the stress intensity factors and the angle of the oblique edge crack are also investigated.

Wave propagation in viscoelastic rods is encountered in many applications including studies of impact and fracture under high strain rates and characterization of the dynamic behavior of viscoelastic materials. For viscoelastic materials, both material and geometric dispersion are possible when the diameter of the rod is of the same order as the wavelength. In this work, we simplify the Pochhammer frequency equation for low and intermediate loss viscoelastic materials and formulate corrections for geometric dispersion for both the phase velocity and attenuation. The formulation is then experimentally verified with measurements of the phase velocity and attenuation in commercial polymethylmethacrylate rods that are 12 and in diameter. Without correcting for geometric dispersion, the usable frequency range for determining the phase velocity and attenuation for the rod is about , and about for the rod. Using the correction procedure developed here, it was possible to accurately determine the phase velocity and attenuation up to frequencies exceeding for the rod and for the rod. These corrections are applicable to many polymers and other viscoelastic materials. From thereon, the viscoelastic properties of the material can be determined over a wide range of frequencies.  相似文献

A theoretical and experimental analysis has been conducted to determine the accuracy of cell tracking velocimetry (CTV). CTV is an analytical technique for quantifying magnetically induced velocity of immunomagnetically labeled cells (or particles), in which the computer algorithm, particle tracking velocimetry (PTV), has been modified and combined with a well-defined magnetic energy gradient. In addition, this technique can calculate the size of a cell (or particle) through the use of experimentally measured settling velocities. A model was developed which determines the minimum and maximum cell velocities that can be determined based on a number of intrinsic constants and variables associated with this technique. This model was experimentally tested using a number of calibration particles and very good agreement between model and experimental data was obtained. A weak-form quadrature element method is presented to study the flexural vibrations of an eccentric annular Mindlin plate. Typical combinations of boundary conditions are considered and the natural frequencies are obtained for both thin and moderately thick plates. All results are verified using the commercial computer code ANSYS. Excellent agreement is reached in all cases. Comparison of the present predictions with other available results for thin plates is also made.  相似文献

Rattling vibrations in gear boxes are a noise problem of modern cars following the requirement to be as quiet as possible. The paper presents an uniform approach to model such vibrations based on classical impact theory and applying modern methods of topological dynamics. Some comparisons of theory and measurements utilizing a test set-up of a rattling machine are presented. They demonstrate the practical relevancy of the presented theory.  相似文献
