使用多重尺度法,解析地研究计及粒子间两体和三体同时作用下二维凝聚体中孤子的特性. 结果发现,当凝聚体粒子间两体作用为排斥、三体作用为吸引时,凝聚体内会产生暗孤子环,且随着三体吸引作用的减弱,暗孤子环中心峰的高度逐渐降低,并当三体吸引作用消失时暗孤子环演化为一个完美的二维暗孤子. 当两体和三体作用均为排斥时,凝聚体中的暗孤子的宽度和幅度随着三体排斥作用的加强而减小,且当三体作用强度增加到与两体作用同一数量级时,凝聚体产生坍塌现象.

具有三体相互作用的玻色-爱因斯坦凝聚体(Bose-Einstein Condensate, BEC)束缚于雅可比椭圆周期势中,在平均场近似下可用3—5次Gross-Pitaevskii方程(GPE)描述.首先利用多重尺度法对该系统进行了理论分析,将GPE化为一定态非线性薛定谔方程(Nonlinear Schr?dinger Equation, NLSE),并给出了一类带隙孤子的解析表达式.然后采用牛顿共轭梯度法数值得到了该系统中存在的两类带隙孤子,发现孤子的振幅随着三体相互作用的增强而减小,这与多重尺度法分析所得结论一致.最后用时间劈裂傅里叶谱方法对GPE进行长时间动力学演化以考察孤子的稳定性,发现系统中既存在稳定的带隙孤子,也存在不稳定的带隙孤子,且外势的模数会对孤子的结构和稳定性产生明显影响. 相似文献

We have created spatial dark solitons in two-component Bose-Einstein condensates in which the soliton exists in one of the condensate components and the soliton nodal plane is filled with the second component. The filled solitons are stable for hundreds of milliseconds. The filling can be selectively removed, making the soliton more susceptible to dynamical instabilities. For a condensate in a spherically symmetric potential, these instabilities cause the dark soliton to decay into stable vortex rings. We have imaged the resulting vortex rings. 相似文献

A dark soliton oscillating in an elongated harmonically confined atomic Bose-Einstein condensate continuously exchanges energy with the sound field. Periodic optical paddles are employed to controllably enhance the sound density and transfer energy to the soliton, analogous to parametric driving. In the absence of damping, the amplitude of the soliton oscillations can be dramatically reduced, whereas with damping, a driven soliton equilibrates as a stable soliton with lower energy, thereby extending the soliton lifetime up to the lifetime of the condensate. 相似文献

The perturbation of a confining trap leads to the collective oscillation of a Bose--Einstein condensate, thereby the propagation of a dark soliton in the condensate is affected. In this study, periodic perturbation is employed to match the soliton oscillation. We find that the soliton dynamics depends sensitively on the coupling between the moving direction of the trap and that of the soliton. The soliton energy/depth evolves periodically, and a relevant shift in the soliton trajectory occurs as compared with the unperturbed case. Overall, the soliton oscillation frequency changes little even if the perturbation amplitude and frequency vary. 相似文献

This paper investigates the dynamics of dark solitons in a
Bose--Einstein condensate with a magnetic trap and an optical
lattice (OL) trap, and analyses the effects of the periodic OL
potential on the dynamics by applying the variational approach based
on the renormalized integrals of motion. The results show that the
dark soliton becomes only a standing-wave and free propagation
of the dark soliton is not possible when the periodic length of the
OL potential is approximately equal to the effective width of the
dark soliton. When the periodic length is very small or very large,
the effects of the OL potential on the dark soliton will be sharply
reduced. Finally, the numerical results confirm these theoretical

The creation and interaction of dark solitons in a two-component Bose-Einstein condensate is investigated. For a miscible case, the interaction of dark solitons in different components is studied. Various possible scenarios are presented, including the formation of a soliton-soliton bound pair. We also analyze the soliton propagation in the presence of domains, and show that a dark soliton can be transferred from one component to the other at the domain wall when it exceeds a critical velocity. For lower velocities multiple reflections within the domain are observed, where the soliton is evaporated and accelerated after each reflection until it finally escapes from the domain. 相似文献

We propose the interesting results that a dark soliton pulse can be localized within a nonlinear nano-waveguide. The system consists of nonlinear micro and nano ring resonators, whereas the dark soliton can be input into the system and trapped within the nano-waveguide. A dark soliton pulse is input into a ring resonator and chopped to be the smaller pulses.
