Abstract:he voltammetriy of piperine at TBP chemically modified electrode has been studied. A welldefined derivative peak is obtained at 1.40 V(vs.SCE) in Britton-Robinson buffer solution(pH4.6). The peak current is proportional to the concentration of piperine in the range of 7.410-92.210-7mol/L. The detection limit has been estimated as 2.210-11mol/L with 6 min accumulation. The method has been applied to determine piperine in natural pepper with satisfactory results.
