| Abstract: | Abstract Variational inequalities play a significant role ill mathematical programmingand has been studied by many researchers. Recently, some iterative projection andcontraction (PC) methods for solving monotone variational inequalities were presented. The efficiency of the methods depends essentially on the search directions.In this paper, we point out, that the search directions of different PC methods arebased on vaxious combinations of 3 fUndamental inequalities. The study disscusedthe ability of different PC .methods and offered orientation for constructing moreefficient PC methods. |
