| Abstract: | The recent progress in transition metal catalyzed cyclotrimerization aromatization of alkynes is reviewed in this paper, with particular attention directed to the cyclotrimerization reactions of alkynes containing different electrical characteristic substituents, some typical catalyst systems, the reaction mechanisms, and some hotspots in this area. |
