Abstract:The usage of micro-heat exchanger and phase-change phenomena is one of the most promising methods for cooling high-heat-flux electronic devices.The paper focused on the micro-scale evaporation/condensation mechanism.A new conventional-to-micro/mini-scale criterion Bo x Re_1~(0.5) =200 was developed based on a large database.Based on the general criterion,new correlations for pressure drop,heat transfer,and critical heat flux were obtained,presenting more accurate predictive abilities than existing methods.
