The aim of the study presented in this paper was to characterize quantitatively the erosion of aluminum cathodes in high-current vacuum arcs. The experimental setup comprised two current generators. The first one, capable of generating a current of amplitude up to 350 kA, was used to produce a plasma jet, that is, the object to be investigated. The second generator was used to produce a source of probe radiation for imaging the object under investigation in soft x rays of energy ?ν ≈ 0.5–3 keV. The findings of the study are based on experimental data obtained by electrophysical and radiographic methods. It has been shown that the cathode erosion rate in a high-current vacuum arc is a function of the charge passed through the cathode. 相似文献

针对波长为0.3~0.5 nm的喷气箍缩等离子体X射线诊断,研制了一种适用的高空间分辨的晶体谱仪。色散元件采用云母(002)凸面晶体,布拉格角为37°,信号采用X射线胶片进行接收,有效接收面积为30 mm×80 mm。物理实验在“阳”加速器装置上进行,胶片获得了氩喷气K,L壳层光谱信号,其光谱范围较宽,为0.31~0.40 nm。经解谱发现,类氦谱线有明显的基底,用最小二乘法拟合包络曲线去噪处理后,得到类氦谱线光谱分辨力为200~300。实验结果表明,该谱仪获得的X射线测量值与理论值相符,适合喷气箍缩等离子体X射线光谱的诊断。 相似文献

In order to couple the numerical simulation of a primary test stand driver with an optimal load design, a zero-dimensional wire array load model is designed based on the Saturn load model using PSPICE, which is an upgraded version of the Simulation Program with Integrated Circuit Emphasis (SPICE) designed by the ORCAD Corporation to perform circuit simulations. This paper calculates different load parameters and discusses factors influencing the driving current curve. With appropriate driving current curves chosen, further magneto-hydrodynamic calculations are carried out and discussed to provide the best results for experiments. The suggested optimal load parameters play an important role in experimental load design. 相似文献

In this paper, a phenomenological model for a magnetic drive source term for the momentum and total energy equations of the Euler system is described. This body force term is designed to produce a Z‐pinch like implosion that can be used in the development and evaluation of shock‐hydrodynamics algorithms that are intended to be used in Z‐pinch simulations. The model uses a J × B Lorentz force, motivated by a 0‐D analysis of a thin shell (or liner implosion), as a source term in the equations and allows for arbitrary current drives to be simulated. An extension that would include the multi‐physics aspects of a proposed combined radiation hydrodynamics (rad‐hydro) capability is also discussed. The specific class of prototype problems that are developed is intended to illustrate aspects of liner implosions into a near vacuum and with idealized pre‐fill plasma effects. In this work, a high‐resolution flux‐corrected‐transport method implemented on structured overlapping meshes is used to demonstrate the application of such a model to these idealized shock‐hydrodynamic studies. The presented results include an asymptotic solution based on a limiting‐case thin‐shell analytical approximation in both (x, y) and (r, z). Additionally, a set of more realistic implosion problems that include density profiles approximating plasma pre‐fill and a set of perturbed liner geometries that excite a hydro‐magnetic like Rayleigh–Taylor instability in the implosion dynamics are demonstrated. Finally, as a demonstration of including and evaluating multiphysics effects in the Euler system, a simple radiation model is included and self‐convergence results for two types of (r, z) implosions are presented. With pure Ar and gaseous mixtures of Ar-He, the laser spike of Ne-like Ar 46.9 nm pumped by capillary discharge is measured
with XRD (X-ray diode) at low pressure. We observe the effects of the Ar pressure and the He ratio on the amplitude of laser
pulse. Compared with the laser spike of pure Ar, a mixture of Ar and a small quantity of He enhances the laser output. The
time of lasing onset and the duration of laser pulses are not affected by mixing He. In addition, a monochromator is used
to measure the laser pulse at 46.9 nm. This is the first observation of laser output with a Ar-He mixture. 相似文献

为了测量喷气箍缩等离子体X射线的空间分辨光谱,利用椭圆聚焦原理,研制了一种椭圆晶体谱仪.分别利用Si(111)、Mica(002)椭圆晶体作色散元件,离心率均为0.9480,布喇格角为30~67.5°,光谱信号采用半径为50mm的半圆形胶片接收,从等离子体源经晶体到胶片的光路长为1430mm.在“阳”加速器装置上进行摄谱验证实验,成功获取了氩喷气等离子体X射线的光谱.测量光谱波长与理论值相符,其中Si弯晶获得的光谱分辨率(λ/△λ=200~300)低于Mica弯晶获得的光谱分辨率(λ/△λ=500~700).实验结果表明,该谱仪适合于喷气箍缩等离子体X射线的光谱学研究. 相似文献
