We relate the equisingular deformation theory of plane curve singularities and sandwiched surface singularities. We show the existence of a smooth map between the two corresponding deformation functors and study the kernel of this map. In particular we show that the map is an isomorphism when a certain invariant is large enough.  相似文献

The analysis of mechanical structures using the Finite Element Method in the framework of large elastoplastic strain, needs frequent remeshing of the deformed domain during computation. Indeed, the remeshing is due to the large geometrical distortion of finite elements and the adaptation to the physical behavior of the solution. This paper gives the necessary steps to remesh a mechanical structure during large elastoplastic deformations with damage. An important part of this process is constituted by geometrical and physical error estimates. The proposed method is integrated in a computational environment using the ABAQUS/Explicit solver and the BL2D-V2 adaptive mesher. To cite this article: H. Borouchaki et al., C. R. By using a sheaf-theoretical language, we introduce a notion of deformation quantization allowing not only for formal deformation parameters but also for real or complex ones as well. As a model for this approach to deformation quantization, we construct a quantization scheme for cotangent bundles of Riemannian manifolds. Here, we essentially use a complete symbol calculus for pseudodifferential operators on a Riemannian manifold. Depending on a scaling parameter, our quantization scheme corresponds to normally ordered, Weyl or antinormally ordered quantization. Finally, it is shown that our quantization scheme induces a family of pairwise isomorphic strongly closed star products on a cotangent bundle.  相似文献

We propose a perturbation theory that allows solving the equations of motion for the displacement vector in the body of the Earth in the framework of the linear theory of elasticity. We show that tectonic processes are primarily determined by tidal actions. We analyze the tidal effects in the Earth–Moon–Sun system.  相似文献

The aim of this work is to construct a cohomology theory controlling the deformations of a general Drinfel'd algebra and thus finish the program which began in [13], [14]. The task is accomplished in three steps. The first step, which was taken in the aforementioned articles, is the construction of a modified cobar complex adapted to a non-coassociative comultiplication. The following two steps each involves a new, highly non-trivial, construction. The first construction, essentially combinatorial, defines a differential graded Lie algebra structure on the simplicial chain complex of the associahedra. The second construction, of a more algebraic nature, is the definition of a map of differential graded Lie algebras from the complex defined above to the algebra of derivations on the bar resolution. Using the existence of this map and the acyclicity of the associahedra we can define a so-called homotopy comodule structure (Definition 3.3 below) on the bar resolution of a general Drinfel'd algebra. This in turn allows us to define the desired cohomology theory in terms of a complex which consists, roughly speaking, of the bimodule and bicomodule maps from the bar resolution to the modified cobar resolution. The complex is bigraded but not a bicomplex as in the Gerstenhaber-Schack theory for bialgebra deformations. The new components of the coboundary operator are defined via the constructions mentioned above. The results of the paper were announced in [12].

Bond-length fluctuations in transition-metal oxoperovskites may give rise to two-phase fluctuations in what appears to be a single phase to a diffraction experiment. Orbital disorder at Jahn-Teller ions results in bond-length fluctuations that give 3D-ferromagnetic, vibronic Mn(III)-O-Mn(III) superexchange interactions and allow disproportionation into Mn(IV) and Mn(II) in LaMnO3; where orbitally ordered and disordered phases coexist, an external magnetic field stabilizes the orbitally disordered, ferromagnetic phase relative to the orbitally ordered, antiferromagnetic phase. Spin-lattice interactions in the paramagnetic phase of charge-transfer compounds give bond-length fluctuations arising from the semicovalent component of the superexchange interactions. At the crossover from localized to itinerant electronic behavior, the coexistence of two-phase fluctuations has been demonstrated in both the single-valent RNiO3 family (R=rare-earth, A=alkaline-earth) and the mixed-valent R0.5A0.5MnO3 perovskites. “Bad-metal” behavior is found to be associated with bond-length fluctuations.  相似文献

The use of thermal analysis in studying ancient mortars in English cathedrals is explained. Thermal analysis can be used to investigate both mortar and stone in dated structures. Analysis of ancient mortars show that though recarbonated, they remain soft, yielding to structural deformations. The use of hard (cement mortar) in modern renovation can result in micro-cracking in the stone and subsequent chemical attack from the atmosphere. Contrary to the literature, data developed in the present study suggests that most medieval mortars have reached a near total state of recarbonation.  相似文献

Evidence for photoemission of electrons from a calcium contact into anthracene crystals is presented. It is based on the observation of recombination radiation resulting from mutual annihilation of photoinjected electrons with holes which are supplied by an ohmic counter-electrode. The method avoids spurious effect's due to optical release of trapped electrons. The problem of photoemission of electrons from alkali-metals into anthracene crystals is discussed.  相似文献
