A new formulation derived from thermal characters of inclusions and host films for estimating laser induced damage threshold has been deduced. This formulation is applicable for dielectric films when they are irradiated by laser beam with pulse width longer than tens picoseconds. This formulation can interpret the relationship between pulse-width and damage threshold energy density of laser pulse obtained experimentally. Using this formulation, we can analyze which kind of inclusion is the most harmful inclusion. Combining it with fractal distribution of inclusions, we have obtained an equation which describes relationship between number density of inclusions and damage probability. Using this equation, according to damage probability and corresponding laser energy density, we can evaluate the number density and distribution in size dimension of the most harmful inclusions. 相似文献

Interplay of charge, spin, orbital and lattice correlations in colossal magnetoresistance manganites

We derive a realistic microscopic model for doped colossal magnetoresistance manganites, which includes the dynamics of charge,
spin, orbital and lattice degrees of freedom on a quantum mechanical level. The model respects the SU(2) spin symmetry and the full multiplet structure of the manganese ions within the cubic lattice. Concentrating on the hole
doped domain ( 0≤x≤0.5) we study the influence of the electron-lattice interaction on spin and orbital correlations by means of exact diagonalisation
techniques. We find that the lattice can cause a considerable suppression of the coupling between spin and orbital degrees
of freedom and show how changes in the magnetic correlations are reflected in dynamic phonon correlations. In addition, our
calculation gives detailed insights into orbital correlations and demonstrates the possibility of complex orbital states.

A detailed investigation of the electrical resistivity of a series of monovalent (Ag) doped polycrystalline La1−xAgxMnO3 pellets with x ranging from 0.05 to 0.30 and measured over the temperature range between 10 and 350 K is reported. La1−xAgxMnO3 compounds have been prepared by a novel pyrophoric technique. XRD analysis of our samples indicates single phasic nature for samples with Ag content ≤0.15, while samples with higher Ag content (x≥0.2) show presence of both magnetic perovskite and non-magnetic Ag phases. A sharp insulator-metal transition with TMI close to room temperature arising out of the paramagnetic to ferromagnetic transition, and a large magneto-resistance (MR=∼16%) near TMI has been observed for all the Ag doped samples. Between TC(Tp1) and 350 K, all the samples show activated conduction following the Emin-Holstein theory of adiabatic small polaron hopping, while at lower temperatures, in the ferromagnetic regime resistivity appears to be governed by various electron scattering processes. Between 20 and 50 K, a distinct minimum for both H=0 and has been observed, which is explained in terms of inelastic scattering and electron-electron interactions. 相似文献

Ultrasonic motors are usually operated at an AC voltage higher than a regular battery. This implies the need of a voltage step-up transformer. In this paper, we report the integration of a piezoelectric transformer (PT) with an ultrasonic motor and a simple drive circuit. The stator of the ultrasonic motor and the PT were operated in the same radial vibration mode. Their dimensions were very close to each other yielding nearly matching resonance frequencies. Consequently, they could be combined together without inductor. The drive circuit was designed by using a 555 timer as an astable multivibrator, and high-speed dual MOSFET drivers as a class D half-bridge switching amplifier. This integrated PT-ultrasonic motor performed reasonably without the use of electromagnetic transformer or inductor. 相似文献

The effect of

O isotope substitution on electrical resistivity, magnetoresistance, and ac magnetic susceptibility was studied for La0.35Pr0.35Ca0.3MnO3 epitaxial thin films deposited onto LaAlO3 and SrTiO3 substrates. For the films on LaAlO3, the isotope substitution resulted in the reversible transition from a metal-like to insulating state. The applied magnetic
field ( H

T) transformed the sample with 18O back to the metallic state. The films on SrTiO3 remained metallic at low temperatures for both 16O and 18O, but the shift of the resistivity peak corresponding to onset of metallic state exceeded 63 K after
16
O
→
18
O substitution. The temperature dependence of both resistivity and magnetic susceptibility was characterized by hysteresis,
especially pronounced in the case of the films on LaAlO3. Such a behavior gives certain indications of the phase separation characteristic of interplay between ferromagnetism and
charge ordering.

Based on the Nagel-Schreckenberg (NaSch)
model of traffic flow, a modified cellular automaton (CA) traffic
model with the density-dependent randomization (abbreviated as the
DDR model) is proposed to simulate traffic flow. The fundamental
diagram obtained by simulation shows the ability of this modified
NaSch model to capture the essential features of traffic flow,
e.g., synchronized flow, metastable state, hysteresis and phase
separation at higher densities. Comparisons are made between this
DDR model and the NaSch model, also between this DDR model and the
VDR model. And the underlying mechanism is analyzed. All these
results indicate that the presented model is reasonable and more

In this paper we numerically study the probability Pac of the occurrence of traffic accidents in the Nagel-Schreckenberg (NS) model with velocity-dependent randomization (VDR). Numerical results show that there is a critical density over which car accidents occur, but below which no car accidents happen. Different from the accident probability in the NS model, the accident probability in the VDR model monotonously decreases with increase of car density above the critical density. The value of the accident probability is only determined by the stochastic noise and the number of cars on road. In the stochastic VDR model with the speed limit vmax=1, no critical density exists and car accidents happen in the whole density region. The braking probabilities of standing cars and moving cars have different influences on the accident probability. A mean-field theory reveals that the accident probability is proportional to the mean density of “go and stop” wave per time step. Theoretical analyses give excellent agreement with numerical results in the VDR model. 相似文献

The temperature dependence of the resistance of composite samples (1−x)La0.67Sr0.33MnO3+xYSZ with different YSZ doping level x was investigated at magnetic fields 0-3 T, where YSZ represents yttria-stabilized zirconia. Results show that the YSZ dopant does not only adjust the metal-insulator transition temperature, but also increases the magnetoresistance effect. With increase of YSZ doping level for the range of x<2%, the metal-insulator transition temperature values TP of the composites decrease, but TP increases with increase of x further for the range of x>2%. Meanwhile, in the YSZ-doped composites, a broad metal-insulator transition temperature region was found at zero and low magnetic field, which results in an obvious enhanced magnetoresistance in the temperature range 10-350 K. Specially, a larger magnetoresistance value was observed at room temperature at 3 T, which is encouraging with regard to the potential application of magnetoresistance materials. 相似文献

Effect of Fe3O4 segregation at grain boundaries on the electrical transport and magnetic properties of La0.67Ca0.33MnO3 is investigated. The experimental results show that the Fe3O4 segregation not only shifts the paramagnetic-ferromagnetic transition temperature of La0.6TCa0.33MnO3 to a lower temperature region but also induces a new transition in a lower temperature region. Meanwhile, the transition processes observed in both the resistivity and magnetization curves are obviously widened. Compared to pure La0.67Ca0.33MnO3, we assume that the Fe3O4 segregation level at the grain boundaries can modify the electrical transport and magnetic properties of La0.67Ca0.33MnO3. 相似文献

The structural phase transition in annealed CaMn7O12 has been investigated by using high resolution synchrotron radiation powder diffraction. There is a phase coexistence phenomenon: two different crystallographic phases coexist in the material between 410 and 458 K. The first one is trigonal and it has a charge ordering (CO) of the Mn3+ and Mn4+ ions, while the second one is cubic and charge delocalized (CD). The volume fraction of the CD phase increases with temperature from 22% at 418 K up to 100% at 468 K. Both phases have domains of at least 150 nm at each temperature. The annealing of CaMn7O12 relaxed a part of the strains in the lattice, but did not influence the phase coexistence phenomenon. 相似文献
