Within a large class of exact solutions of the Einstein equations describing a black hole embedded in a Friedmann universe it is shown that, under certain assumptions, only those with comoving Hawking–Hayward quasi-local mass are generic, in the sense that they are late-time attractors.  相似文献

Electronic stopping powers for 0. 05-10 MeV protons in a group of organic materials are systematically calculated. The calculations are based on Ashley's dielectric model, and an evaluation approach of optical energy loss function is incorporated into Ashley's model because no experimental optical data are available for most of the organic materials under consideration. The Barkas-effect correction and Bloch correction are included. The proton stopping powers for the considered organic materials except for mylar in the energy range from 0.05 to 10 MeV are presented for the first time. The results may be useful for studies of various radiation effects in these materials and for space research.  相似文献

We study the non-thermal photon emission from shell-type supernova remnants (SNRs) in the frame of a two-zone model. In this model, the sites of acceleration, escape and subsequent radiation of particles (both electron and proton) are divided into acceleration and escape zones, respectively. The particle distributions consist of two components, one is produced inside the acceleration zone, the other in the escape zone. We apply this model to two young and one old shell-type SNRs and show that the observed multi-waveband photon spectra for the three SNRs can be explained well in this model and high-energy γ-rays from these SNRs may have hadronic origins.  相似文献

Penning trap measurements using mixed beams of 76Ge–76Se and 100Mo–100Ru have been utilized to determine the double-beta decay Q-values of 76Ge and 100Mo with uncertainties less than 200 eV. The value for 76Ge, 2039.04(16) keV is in agreement with the published SMILETRAP value, 2039.006(50) keV. The new value for 100Mo, 3034.40(17) keV is 30 times more precise than the previous literature value, sufficient for the ongoing neutrinoless double-beta decay searches in 100Mo. Moreover, the precise Q-value is used to calculate the phase-space integrals and the experimental nuclear matrix element of double-beta decay.  相似文献

Summary The LAPEX payload is described in the configuration that will be launched to observe the supernova SN 1987A. The balloon flight will be performed from Alice Springs (Australia) in April 1989 as a part of a NASA balloon campaign. The experiment will allow simultaneous observations of source and background in order to minimize systematic errors due to background variations. The limiting flux sensitivity of the instrument in the (20÷200) keV energy band is 4·10−6 ph/(cm2s keV) or ∼2.5 mCrab for a 104 s observation of SN 1987A. The presence of a57Co emission line in the SN 1987A photon spectrum could be detected down to an intensity level of ∼8·10−5 photons/cm2s as at 99.7% confidence level. The high resolution of the event timing (<0.1 ms) will make it possible to detect millisecond pulsations with amplitudes down to ∼4% of the expected average flux from SN 1987A in the (20÷60) keV band. To speed up publication, the proofs were not sent to the authors and were supervised by the Scientific Committee.  相似文献

The isothermal decomposition characteristic of the homogeneous high nitrogen austenitic samples prepared by a new multi-stage nitriding process was investigated by SEM and TEM in this paper. Lamellar-structure precipitations arranged on the decomposed austenite grain boundaries (GBs) and the flaky γ′ particles and network-structure precipitations appeared inside of the γ matrix. The extra high Vickers hardness more than 800 HV was found in the 5-h aged samples, which was different from those of the bainitic/martensitic structures in Fe-C alloys. The SAED analysis indicates the γ′ has the coherent relation with the parent γ-Fe[N] phase and the interstitial nitrogen atoms are inclined to aggregate on {1 1 0}γ′/γ planes, which also contributes to the hardness of the matrix.  相似文献

We investigate multiexciton bound states in a semiconducting phase of divalent hexaborides. Due to three degenerate valleys in both the conduction and valence bands the binding energy of a 6-exciton molecule is greatly enhanced by the shell effect. The ground state energies of multiexciton molecules are calculated using the density functional formalism. We also show that charged impurities stabilize multiexciton complexes leading to condensation of localized excitons. These complexes can act as nucleation centers of local moments. It is usually well accepted that for swift protons, the induced backward and forward electron emission yield is proportional to the projectile electronic stopping power. This was observed in particular for thin amorphous carbon foils. However, this law was established from a non extensive set of experimental data and somewhat confirmed by rough macroscopic theories. We then developed a standard Monte Carlo simulation to predict the yield dependence on proton energy [0.5–10 MeV] and for a wide range of foil thickness. After evaluating the reliability of this simulation, we showed and explained why the law of proportionality cannot generally hold for forward electron emission. In particular, the ratio between forward yield and stopping power generally depends on foil thickness and proton energy. We performed a new experiment that confirmed our theoretical predictions. Nanocrystalline tin oxide (SnO2) was prepared by chemical precipitation method with different grain sizes. The X-ray diffraction studies showed the structural stability of nanocrystalline SnO2 under high-pressure. Electrical and dielectric properties were studied on these samples using complex impedance spectroscopy under different hydrostatic pressures. Electrical resistivity and dielectric studies showed a transition in nanocrystalline SnO2 when it was subjected to high-pressure. The transition pressures obtained from both the resistivity and dielectric measurements agree with each other. The transition pressures were found to increase considerably with the decrease in grain size. Dielectric constant was found to decrease with the reduction of grain size. In order to find whether the transition with pressure is structure- related or not, Raman spectroscopy was done at normal temperature and pressure (NTP) and as a function of pressure at room temperature. Raman modes at NTP showed lines which correspond to tetragonal rutile structure of SnO2. In situ high-pressure Raman measurements were carried out up to 3.38 GPa. No structural change was found with pressure.  相似文献
