This paper concerns with the problem of how to running an insurance company to maximize his total discounted expected dividends. In our model, the dividend rate is limited in [0,M] and the company is allowed to transfer any proportion of risk by reinsuring. So there are two strategies which we call dividend strategy and reinsurance strategy. The objective function and the corresponding optimal two strategies are the solution and the two free boundaries of the following Barenblatt parabolic equation

Kimura diffusions serve as a stochastic model for the evolution of gene frequencies in population genetics. Their infinitesimal generator is an elliptic differential operator whose second-order coefficients matrix degenerates on the boundary of the domain. In this article, we consider the inhomogeneous initial-value problem defined by generators of Kimura diffusions, and we establish C0-estimates, which allows us to prove that solutions to the inhomogeneous initial-value problem are smooth up to the boundary of the domain where the operator degenerates, even when the initial data is only assumed to be continuous.  相似文献

This work studies the inverse problem of reconstructing an initial value function in the degenerate parabolic equation using the final measurement data. Problems of this type have important applications in the field of financial engineering. Being different from other inverse backward parabolic problems, the mathematical model in our article may be allowed to degenerate at some part of boundaries, which may lead to the corresponding boundary conditions missing. The conditional stability of the solution is obtained using the logarithmic convexity method. A finite difference scheme is constructed to solve the direct problem and the corresponding stability and convergence are proved. The Landweber iteration algorithm is applied to the inverse problem and some typical numerical experiments are also performed in the paper. The numerical results show that the proposed method is stable and the unknown initial value is recovered very well.© 2017 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. In this note we consider the Schrödinger equation on compact manifolds equipped with possibly degenerate metrics. We prove Strichartz estimates with a loss of derivatives. The rate of loss of derivatives depends on the degeneracy of metrics. For the non-degenerate case we obtain, as an application of the main result, the same Strichartz estimates as that in the elliptic case. This extends Strichartz estimates for Riemannian metrics proved by Burq-Gérard-Tzvetkov to the non-elliptic case and improves the result by Salort for the degenerate case. We also investigate the optimality of the result for the case on 𝕊3 × 𝕊3.  相似文献

In this paper the Mode-I elastodynamic problem of a crack propagating in an orthotropic medium is studied under the condition that the matrix of elastodynamic coefficients has repeated eigenvalues. It is shown that the crack is constrained in an elastodynamic state which is defined through a compulsory condition coupling its velocity with the elastic parameters of the orthotropic medium. The dynamic stress and displacement components ahead of the crack tip as well as the energy release rate are explicitly obtained.  相似文献

In this paper, we prove the existence of interior controls for one-dimensional semi-linear degenerate wave equations. By using a duality argument, we reduce the problem to an observability estimate for the linear degenerate wave equation. First, the unique continuation for the degenerate wave equation is established. By means of this, and the multiplier method, we obtain the observability estimate.  相似文献

In 1977 the celebrated theorem of B. Dahlberg established that the harmonic measure is absolutely continuous with respect to the Hausdorff measure on a Lipschitz graph of dimension n?1 in Rn, and later this result has been extended to more general non-tangentially accessible domains and beyond.In the present paper we prove the first analogue of Dahlberg's theorem in higher co-dimension, on a Lipschitz graph Γ of dimension d in Rn, d<n?1, with a small Lipschitz constant. We construct a linear degenerate elliptic operator L such that the corresponding harmonic measure ωL is absolutely continuous with respect to the Hausdorff measure on Γ. More generally, we provide sufficient conditions on the matrix of coefficients of L which guarantee the mutual absolute continuity of ωL and the Hausdorff measure.  相似文献

Conditions for the existence and uniqueness of weak solutions for a class of nonlinear nonlocal degenerate parabolic equations are established. The asymptotic behaviour of the solutions as time tends to infinity are also studied. In particular, the finite time extinction and polynomial decay properties are proved.  相似文献
