Superperiodicity, chaos and coexisting orbits of ion-acoustic waves (IAWs) are studied in a multi-component plasma consisting of fluid ions, q -nonextensive cold and hot electrons and Maxwellian hot positrons. The significant impacts of the system parameters on superperiodic and nonlinear periodic IAWs are presented. Considering an external periodic perturbation various types of quasiperiodic and chaotic features for IAWs are studied in different parametric ranges through time series’ plots, phase spaces and Lyapunov exponents. It has been observed that there exist some coexisting orbits for IAWs. Coexisting orbits for IAWs in a classical electron–positron–ion plasma system are reported.  相似文献

We have solved a self-consistent problem on interaction of two dipole atoms located at an arbitrary distance from each other with the field of a quasiresonance light wave, whose intensity is sufficient for the system to manifest nonlinear properties. The atoms are considered as two-level systems described by means of Bloch optical equations, while the field inside of the system includes both Coulomb and retarded parts. We consider a situation where atoms are identical and the distance between them is much smaller than the length of an outer light wave. The distribution of an electric field both inside of a small object and outside of it is found numerically. It is shown that the amplitude of the electric field in a wave zone depends substantially on the frequency of the external field and interatomic distance, while the field distribution differs from the field pattern of an electric dipole. At definite values of the external field intensity an optical multistability is a feature of the system under investigation. We have elucidated the conditions under which the multistability is manifested in the present system. The results obtained are considered as the near-field effect in the optics of small objects, which makes it possible to investigate the structure of small objects by means of optical radiation. 研究了Fabry-Perot光学腔中包含一个光学参量放大器来增强腔场与机械振子之间的耦合的光机械动力学行为.在解析边带机制下用量子郞之万方程具体研究了振子的涨落光谱、光学多稳态行为、机械阻尼与修正共振频移和基态冷却.通过数值解讨论了辐射压力诱导机械振子和腔场的稳态振幅所展现的光学多稳态行为,同时也分析了辐射压力引起的修正共振频移和机械阻尼与参量增益、输入激光功率和参量相位这三个因素的关系.此外,随着调节泵浦场的参量相位,振子的涨落光谱呈现简正模式分裂.通过精确求解最终有效声子数论证了基态冷却.结果表明,机械振子的冷却由初始浴温度、机械品质因数和参量相位这个三个因素控制.参量相提供一个新的方法来操控非线性光机械动力学.  相似文献

We consider the dynamics of the lowest order transversal vibration mode of a suspension bridge, for which the hangers are treated as one-sided springs, according to the model of Lazer and McKeena [SIAM Review 58, 1990, 537]. We analyze in particular the multi-stability of periodic attractors and the basin of attraction structure in phase space and its dependence with the model parameters. The parameter values used in numerical simulations have been estimated from a number of bridges built in the United States and in the United Kingdom, thus taking into account realistic, yet sometimes simplified, structural, aerodynamical, and physical considerations.  相似文献

A neutral mononuclear FeIII complex [FeIII(H‐5‐Br‐thsa‐Me)(5‐Br‐thsa‐Me)]?H2O ( 1 ; H2‐5‐Br‐thsa‐Me=5‐bromosalicylaldehyde methylthiosemicarbazone) was prepared that exhibited a three‐step spin‐crossover (SCO) with symmetry breaking and a 14 K hysteresis loop owing to strong cooperativity. Two ordered intermediate states of 1 were observed, 4HS–2LS and 2HS–4LS, which exhibited reentrant phase‐transition behavior. This study provides a new platform for examining multistability in SCO complexes.  相似文献

Optical multistability of a Fabry-Perot semiconductor laser is analyzed when multi-optical inputs detuned from the cavity-resonant wavelength of a semiconductor laser are injected. Many split branches are shown to be produced in the optical output versus optical input characteristics for different detuned optical inputs. It is also shown that optical outputs can be switched in any one of the optical input wavelengths by optical input pulses, based on the optical output versus input characteristics with multi-split branches.  相似文献

We present the results of a theoretical consideration of steady states in a saturable-absorber laser for different frequencies of transition in the active medium, the absorber, and the cavity. The conditions for the coexistence of several (up to five) stationary values of intensity are obtained. The stability of such states is analytically studied, and the possible regimes of generation and switching for the parameters corresponding to solid-state lasers with a saturable absorber are shown. Linear stability analysis and (numerical) investigation of the periodic and chaotic self-pulsing behaviour are presented for the Maxwell-Bloch equations of a bistable model in contact with a squeezed vacuum field. Under a nonresonant condition, we theoretically investigate hybrid absorptive-dispersive optical bistability and multistability behaviours in a three-level Δ-type system by using a microwave field to drive a hyperfine transition between two upper excited states inside a unidirectional ring cavity. We find that the optical bistability and multistability behaviours can be controlled by adjusting the intensity of the microwave field or the intensity of the coherent coupling field. Furthermore, our studies show an interesting phenomenon of the transition from the optical bistability to the optical multistability only by changing the negative detuning of the coupling field into the positive detuning of the coupling field.  相似文献

Radical pimers are the simplest and most important models for studying charge-transfer processes and provide deep insight into π-stacked organic materials. Notably, radical pimer systems with magnetic bi- or multistability may have important applications in switchable materials, thermal sensors, and information-storage media. However, no such systems have been reported. Herein, we describe a new pimer consisting of neutral N-(n-propyl) benzene triimide ([BTI-3C]) and its anionic radical ([BTI-3C]−.) that exhibits rare magnetic multistability. The crystalline pimer was readily synthesized by reduction of BTI-3C with cobaltocene (CoCp2). The transition occurred with a thermal hysteresis loop that was 27 K wide in the range of 170–220 K, accompanied by a smaller loop with a width of 25 K at 220–242 K. The magnetic multistability was attributed to slippage of the π-stacked BTI structures and entropy-driven conformational isomerization of the side propyl chains in the crystalline state during temperature variation.  相似文献
