The non-isothermal crystallization kinetics of poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET) modified by poly (ethlene glycol) (PEG) were determined by DSC. The dual linear regression method was used to evaluate the relationship between the reciprocal of t 1/2 ( the half life of crystallization) and the appropriate temperature variable. The parameters such as the activation energy (Ed) for transport, the equilibrium melting temperature (T_m~0),the nucleation parameter (ψ),themaximum crystallization temperature (T_(e, max)), and the kinetic crystallizability (G) for the copolyesters were obtained. The influence of the PEG content in PET chains on the parameters characterizing crystallization kinetics and crystallization thermodynamics was discussed.  相似文献

The non-isothermal crystallization behaviors of multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWNTs)/polyamide 6 (PA6) composites were investigated by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). Three methods, namely, Avrami, Ozawa and Mo, were carried out to analyze the non-isothermal crystallization data. The results showed that the MWNTs in PA6 acted as effective nucleation agents. However the crystallization rate of composites obtained was lower than that of the neat PA6. It is indicated that the presence of MWNTs influenced the mechanism of nucleation and the growth of PA6 crystallites.  相似文献

In this paper we have presented the results of acoustic emission (AE) during non-isothemal crystallization of polypropylene (PP) melt with mean cooling rate 4℃/min, and discussed the effects of molecular weight (MW) on AE activity. It is shown that the amount of AE ring-down counts during whole crystallization of PP depends on the MW strongly.The copious AE bursts have been observed at the late stage of PPcrystallization. AE bursts are caused by cracking, crazing and cavitation between spherulites and inside spherulites.  相似文献

The glass-transition temperature and non-isothermal crystallization of poly(trimethylene terephthalate)/poly(ethylene 2,6-naphthalate) (PTT/PEN) blends were investigated by using differential scanning calorimeter (DSC). The results suggested that the binary blends showed different crystallization and melting behaviors due to their different component of PTT and PEN. All of the samples exhibited a single glass-transition temperature, indicating that the component PTT and PEN were miscible in amorphous phase. The value of Tg predicted well by Gordon-Taylor equation decreased gradually with increasing of PTT content. The commonly used Avrami equation modified by Jeziorny, Ozawa theory and the method developed by Mo were used, respectively, to fit the primary stage of non-isothermal crystallization. The kinetic parameters suggested that the PTT content improved the crystallization of PEN in the binary blend. The crystallization growth dimension, crystallization rate and the degree of crystallinity of the blends were increased with the increasing content of PTT. The effective activation energy calculated by the advanced iso-conversional method developed by Vyazovkin also concluded that the value of Ea depended not only on the system but also on temperature, that is, the binary blend with more PTT component had higher crystallization ability and the crystallization ability is increased with increasing temperature. The kinetic parameters U* and Kg were also determined, respectively, by the Hoffman-Lauritzen theory.  相似文献

Black pepper oils have been investigated frequently in the recent years. However, there is a significant variation in physicochemical properties and bioactivity of oils depended on extraction techniques. In this study, the systemic investigation of four various extraction methods was performed to evaluate the physicochemical characterizations, antioxidant and antibacterial activity. The investigation of 1H NMR, FTIR and UV–Vis spectra confirmed presence of non-volatile components in oils extracted through supercritical CO2 and hexane-soaking extractions which induced their typical thermal properties. The isothermal behaviour of extracted oils related to evaporation was within range of 3.2–7.3% (w/w) at 27 °C. The SEM images of the black pepper confirmed different operation manners of mechanism between extractions using the solvents and heating process. The lowest MIC for both essential oils from conventional hidrodistillation and microwave-assisted hidrodistillation against two bacteria including E. coli and B. subtilis were found to be 137 µg mL−1. The non-isothermal decomposition kinetics were investigated on the essential oil of microwave-assisted hydrodistillation extraction. The activation energies and pre-exponent factors of non-isothermal decomposition were found to be in range of 36.5–73.7 KJ mol−1 and 4.98 × 103–1.97 × 108 s−1, respectively, dependent on conversional fractions of the oil. The results revealed that chemical components, physicochemical properties and bioactivity of black pepper essential oils depended on the extraction techniques.  相似文献

Summary Data of stress growth under both shear and elongational kinematics have been taken in presence of heating temperature ramps on a commerical polyisobutylene.The experimental results have been analysed on the basis of a generalized Maxwell model already proved to be very accurate in predicting the isothermal behaviour. In an earlier study [1], the isothermal kinetics of salt roasting of chalcopyrite under an oxidizing atmosphere using KCl was studied in the temperature range 523–773 K. The salt roasting reaction was found to be chemically controlled at temperatures below 600 K both under static air and oxygen atmosphere. At higher temperatures, the process was not thermally activated because of a change in the chemistry of the process. In the present study, the salt roasting of chalcopyrite using KCl under oxygen and static air atmosphere was studied by non-isothermal thermoanalytical studies up to 723 K. The effect of salt content, heating rate and particle size on the salt roasting behavior was studied using TG/DTA techniques at a programmed linear heating rate. The TG and DTA studies reveal two distinct chemical processes, one operative up to 620 K and the other from 620 to 723 K. The integral method of Coats and Redfern was used for the treatment of non-isothermal kinetic data. The non-isothermal analysis confirmed the chemical control mechanism at temperatures below 620 K. However, the activation energy for the process derived from non-isothermal thermogravimetric analysis is almost twice as that deduced from isothermal measurements. In the temperature range 620–723 K, the kinetic data still obeys the interfacial reaction control model although the activation energy in this temperature range is very low.  相似文献
