The influence of textural characteristics on the catalytic performance of supported KCoMoS2 catalysts was explored to provide essential information for the design of better catalysts for the synthesis of higher alcohols (C1–C5) from syngas. Syngas conversion was carried out over KCoMoS2 catalysts supported on various mesoporous (alumina and carbon-coated alumina) and microporous (two types of powdered activated carbons) materials. The experimental results show that catalysts supported over microporous materials exhibit higher catalytic activity in HAS from syngas than catalysts based on mesoporous materials.  相似文献

Cetylpyridinium chloride (CPC) inhibits the Cr(VI) oxidation of ethanol and propan-1-ol while sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) catalyzes the title reactions. At higher values of the [surfactant], the rate attains a limiting value. The micellar effect has been explained by considering the preferential partitioning of the reactants in terms of the suggested mechanism. Applicability of the Menger-Portnoy model and Piszkiewicz model to explain the observed micellar effect has been examined. This revised version was published online in June 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date.  相似文献

The alkanols of three carbon length have been studied by dielectric methods during many years and they do not obey any theoretical model. These substances have the same chain length and have one, two or three dipoles per molecule, so their ability to form hydrogen bridges changes from one substance to other, and one can obtain information by comparative studies. In previous works, we have measured the thermal dependence of permittivity of these substances and analysed the results with an empirical modification of the Onsager equation. Now we shall analyse and compare the results using a different representation. In this representation, the data shows straight lines, whose slopes depend on the quantity of dipoles of each molecule encouraging the high quality of the fittings obtained with the three substances, and also that they behave in the same dielectric way with the rise of temperature.  相似文献

Excess volumes V E of binary liquid mixtures of quinoline with alkanols have been determined from densities at 30°C as a function of composition. The excess volumes are negative over the whole mole fraction range for all the mixtures and decrease with increasing length of alkanol (C1–C10). The VE data have been analyzed in terms of an approach which uses graph theoretical connectivity parameters of the third degrees for two components. The analysis gives information regarding associated species in the pure state and in the mixture. It is suggested that, in the mixture state, no change occurs in the association of alkanols.  相似文献

Abstract

Snow samples were taken in June 1995 at the Sonnblick Observatory located at the top of Mt. Sonn-blick (3106 m a.s.l.) in the main ridge of the Austrian Alps, as part of the project “Organic Aerosol Scavenging”. The main interest focused on the determination of aliphatic compounds and phenols. First the method for the extraction of the organic compounds was developed using standard samples prepared in the lab. The preconcentration of the samples was performed by liquid-liquid extraction with hexane and hexane/diethylether respectively. To characterize the analytical procedure, the efficiency of the extraction procedure, the reproducibility of the overall method and the detection limits were determined. Values for the recovery of the extraction method range from 57% (fatty acids) to 95% (aliphatic alcohols). Reproducibility was found to be between 3-5%, except for the fatty acids which gave a value of 16%. Detection limits were calculated for the various substances and are between 5μg/l (phenols) and 30μg/l (fatty acids). The analysis of the eight snow samples were performed using a GC-MS-FID system. The following compounds were identified as major compounds in the snow samples: 1-dodecanol, 1-tetradecanol, 1-hexadecanol, 1-octadecanol, 2-isobutyl-4-methoxy-phenol, diisobutylphenol and dibutylphthalate. The aliphatic alcohols are of biogenic origin and are present in a concentration range from 30 to 115 μg/l melted snow. The phenols show concentrations between 5 and 30 μg/l and the phthalates range up to 40 μg/l.  相似文献

Molar excess enthalpies H m E have been determined over the whole composition range for mixtures of benzene, methanol, ethanol, 1-propanol, 2-propanol and 1-butanol with quinoline at 298.15 K using a Thermometric flow calorimeter. The results reflect a strong H-bond association between an alkanol and quinoline which decreases with increasing length of the alkanol chain. The small H m E for (benzene+quinoline) reflects the similarity of the two molecules. This revised version was published online in August 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date.  相似文献

The interfacial and thermodynamic properties of water‐in‐oil microemulsion systems consisting of water, isopropyl myristate, n‐alkanol, and surfactant have been investigated using the method of dilution. The surfactants used were hexadecyl trimethylammonium bromide and sodium dodecylsulfate, and the cosurfactants were nalkanols with varying chain length from (C5–C9). The distribution of cosurfactant (n‐alkanol) between the interface of water and oil regions at the threshold level of stability as well as the energetics of the transfer of the cosurfactant from the oil to the interfacial region have been examined as a function of varying cosurfactant chain length (C4–C9) and temperature. The structural parameters (including dimension, population density and effective water pool radius) of the dispersed water droplets in the oil phase have also been evaluated and correlated with alkanol chain length.  相似文献

Thermodynamics of mixtures of amines with n-alkanes and 1-alkanols   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2
The LFAS (Lattice-Fluid Associated Solution) model, which has been applied to alkanol + alkane and to alkanol + alkanol mixtures is now extended to mixtures consisting of one self-associated and one active or weakly self-associated component. The types of association complexes considered are AnBm and AnB with a single A-B bond each. The model is subsequently applied to binary alkanol + amine mixtures with an emphasis on vapor-liquid equilibria. Self-association constants for n-alkyl amines and dialkyl amines are presented along with the pure component lattice-fluid scaling constants. These parameters are used for correlating pure component data on vapor pressures, heats of vaporization, and orthobaric densities as well as mixing properties of amine + alkane mixtures.Communicated at the Festsymposium celebrating Dr. Henry V. Kehiaian's 60th birthday, Clermont-Ferrand, France, 17–18 May 1990.  相似文献

The densities of solutions of 1-octanol, 1-nonanol, and 1-decanol in cyclohexane up to concentrations of 1.56 mol kg–1 were measured at temperatures between 20 and 60°C. The apparent molar volumes and expansibilities were found to be linearly dependent on solute concentration. The excess molar volume and the excess thermal expansion coefficient of the solute were derived from the partial molar volume of the solute at infinite dilution and the solute densities. In addition, the limiting partial molar volume of the solute is discussed in terms of the scaled particle theory.  相似文献
