A method of determining the phase-encode order for MR Fourier-encoded imaging is described, which provides an additional option for optimizing images from samples with signals that change during data acquisition. Examples are in hyperpolarized helium gas imaging of the lungs where polarization is lost with each RF pulse or the signal changes observed in rapid dynamic studies with T1 or T2* contrast agents when mixing is taking place. The method uses a single frequency-encoded projection in the proposed phase-encoding direction. The projection is subsequently sorted into signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) order. The indices of the sorted array are then used to create the phase-encode table to be used for the scan. This phase table is sorted in descending SNR order for signals that decrease during data acquisition and in ascending order for signals that increase during data acquisition. Simulations suggest that this technique can produce higher resolution than centric-ordered phase encoding at the expense of increased modulation (ghosting) artifact for dynamically changing signals. Initial practical implementation of the technique has been carried out on a dedicated 0.2-T Niche MR system, and the test object results agree well with simulations. Hyperpolarized 3-He lung images have also been acquired and postprocessed using the SNR phase order k-space encoding (SPOKE) methodology and show potential for improved imaging with high flip angles where polarization is rapidly lost. Applications may also be found for 3D volumetric acquisitions where two dimensions can be SPOKE encoded.  相似文献

利用四种常见算法对由球面参考光像面数字全息显微术得到的中药饮片海金沙细胞的包裹相位图进行了相位解包裹。结果表明:基于离散余弦的最小二乘算法和预条件共轭梯度算法会使欠采样区域的误差进行传递,使得解包裹相位产生较大误差;质量图导向路径跟踪算法由于未识别残差点,导致出现拉线或者孤岛区域,而且处理速度很慢;基于横向剪切干涉的最小二乘算法处理欠采样包裹相位图的效果最好,而且处理速度较快。  相似文献

A reflexive topological group G is called strongly reflexive if each closed subgroup and each Hausdorff quotient of the group G and of its dual group is reflexive. In this paper we establish an adequate concept of strong reflexivity for convergence groups. To reduce the scan time of time of flight or phase contrast angiography sequences, fast three-dimensional k-space trajectories can be employed. The best 3D trajectory depends on tolerable scan time, readout time, geometric flexibility, flow/motion properties and others. A formalism for flow/motion sensitivity comparison based on the velocity k-space behavior is presented. It consists in finding the velocity k-space position as a function of the spatial k-space position. The trajectories are compared graphically by their velocity k-space maps, with simulations and with an objective computed index. The flow/motion properties of various 3D trajectories (cones, spiral-pr hybrid, spherical stack of spirals, 3DFT, 3D echo-planar, and shells) were determined. In terms of flow/motion sensitivity the cones trajectory is the best, however, it is difficult to use it for anisotropic resolutions or fields of view. Tolerating more flow sensitivity, the stack of spirals trajectory offers more geometric flexibility.  相似文献

The critical challenge in dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (DCE-MRI) is the trade-off between spatial and temporal resolution due to the limited availability of acquisition time. To address this, it is imperative to under-sample k-space and to develop specific reconstruction techniques. Our proposed method reconstructs high-quality images from under-sampled dynamic k-space data by proposing two main improvements; i) design of an adaptive k-space sampling lattice and ii) edge-enhanced reconstruction technique. A high-resolution data set obtained before the start of the dynamic phase is utilized. The sampling pattern is designed to adapt to the nature of k-space energy distribution obtained from the static high-resolution data. For image reconstruction, the well-known compressed sensing-based total variation (TV) minimization constrained reconstruction scheme is utilized by incorporating the gradient information obtained from the static high-resolution data. The proposed method is tested on seven real dynamic time series consisting of 2 breast data sets and 5 abdomen data sets spanning 1196 images in all. For data availability of only 10%, performance improvement is seen across various quality metrics. Average improvements in Universal Image Quality Index and Structural Similarity Index Metric of up to 28% and 24% on breast data and about 17% and 9% on abdomen data, respectively, are obtained for the proposed method as against the baseline TV reconstruction with variable density random sampling pattern.  相似文献

MR ARFI measures the displacement induced by the ultrasonic radiation force and provides the location of the focal spot without significant heating effects. Displacements maps obtained with MR ARFI provide an indirect estimation of the acoustic beam intensity at the target. This measure is essential for dose estimation prior to focused ultrasound treatments (FUS) and adaptive focusing procedures of MR-guided transcranial and transribs FUS. In the latter case, the beam correction is achieved by maximizing the displacement at focus. A significant number of serial MR ARFI images are required and thus, a partial k-space updating method, such as keyhole appears as a method of choice. The purpose of this work is to demonstrate via simulations and experiments the efficiency of the keyhole technique combined with a two-dimensional spin-echo MR ARFI pulse sequence. The method was implemented in an ex vivo calf brain taking advantage of the a priori knowledge of the focal spot profile. The coincidence of the phase-encoding axis with the longest axis of the focal spot makes the best use of the technique. Our approach rapidly provides the focal spot localization with accuracy, and with a substantial increase to the signal-to-noise ratio, while reducing ultrasound energy needed during MR-guided adaptive focusing procedures.  相似文献
